We were seated for 30 mins with only water. No one came to our table at ALL! Meanwhile every other customer was being serviced with no hesitation. I’d hate to think it’s because of my BLACK skin. However we were the only people of color there beside one much older lady. Truly disappointed!

Very fast service real good breakfast I had the biscuits and gravy and we also ordered ham and eggs. Nice beef ham steak really good if you’re in San Bernardino and you wanna pick up something to eat DJs is a good place and like I said fast service nice waitresses. Making sure that you have everything. And very reasonable price

This is my third time visiting this restaurant/coffee shop, and every single visit has been outstanding. I absolutely love the atmosphere. The prices are great, the food is delightful, and the portions are out of this world—so much food! I still can’t believe I live less than a mile away. I want to give a very special shout-out to Gio/Geo. He was my server during my previous visit, and his customer service has been top-tier every time. Today, Sunday 11/16/25, I rushed straight here from work in Orange County because he genuinely made my last experience unforgettable. It was very busy, and even though he wasn’t a server today, the moment he noticed I had been unattended for a few minutes, he immediately came to assist me. He took my order on the spot and once again saved the day! This young man is truly a gem, and I hope to see him here every time I visit. He has made my experience phenomenal not once, but twice in a row. If I could give him a raise myself, I would—but since I can’t, I sincerely hope someone in management sees this: If anyone with the power to do so reads my review: please don’t overthink it—give this young man what he rightfully deserves, so he can continue to shine here. 🗣 “FOR EVA’, FOR EVA’ EVA’, FOR EVA’ EVA’ EVA’!” I’ll definitely be back. This is the place to come to in North SB for the best diner food, especially for a weekend breakfast. I tried the hot links breakfast and it was worth it. Very flavorful. I usually get their bacon and eggs breakfast but wanted to try more menu items. Pancakes are simply the best! The staff are very efficient, friendly, and hard working to make your dining experience a good one. I love it that they have been here for so many years. You may have to wait during the weekend mornings but you will know it’s worth the wait. Their lunch and dinner items are very good too!

I swung by out of curiosity. It’s a small unassuming little place but inside it has a very warm, friendly, homey vibe. Staff were very polite, chatty, and cheerful, made me want to stay longer. I ordered the sirloin steak and eggs meal with pancakes. The food came out within 15 minutes of me ordering, and was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this cute little place!

Love DJ's ! They are a staple in the north end and always a go-to spot!. Their biscuits and gravy are the best in the area 😋

Just off the mountain and it was one of the first spots for breakfast…great service from Giovanni, clean and very good food. Pepper and hot sauce for the biscuits and gravy to honor my dad. Plan on heading that way again when we’re in the area!!! Thanks Gio

I've been living in San Bernardino for 3 years now, and I've driven past DJ's Coffee Shop more times than I can count. But after finally stopping by to eat, I instantly regretted... not stopping by sooner! This place is amazing. I had the chicken plate, it was juicy and thick, just how I like it. My son got the chicken breast breakfast plate, and let me tell you, that breast was firm, large and round, no complaints there. The customer service? Top-tier. Friendly, fast, and funny. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows. I enjoyed it so much I went back two days later. This time I had the chicken sandwich, and wow, flavorful, crispy, and thicker than a booty. I'm not even joking. That sandwich was built. DJ's is officially my new favorite joint in SB. I recommend it to anyone who loves good food and good vibes. Don't wait like I did, stop by!

Probably will not return. Came in with a party of 3, seated quicky. Has a mom and pop shop type. We looked over the menu, and sat patiently waiting for our server. Enough time for us to check the menu and make a decision, a couple came in and sat in the booth booth behind us. Our waitress appears to check on two tables who had already eaten, completely passed us and took the freshly sat table's order. I thought this was weird as most places have a system to know who's first, etc. We even sat with our menu's closed, visibly ready, waiting to order. It all made sense after hearing their conversation, they were regulars. Ok, cool, glad to know this place is popular... But being ignored and clearly passed up is really rude and off-putting. Did she think we weren't going to notice? We definitely did, lol. I'm sure this place is good, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're a hungry first timer.

My parents and I love this place! We love to get their New York steak for breakfast! Service and atmosphere is great as well. 10/10 would recommend :)

Food is great , cute little place kind of takes a while to be seated sometimes but definitely worth the wait hopefully everyone is in good moods and service is actually quick and place is clean.

Classic, AMAZING diner! The Waffle House and Black Bear diner have absolutely nothing on this place. One of the best steak n eggs EVER! Hash-browns were to perfection, side salad is loaded and the liver n onions was top notch delish! We will be back for sure and regular customers. Holy smokes I'm so impressed! Great food, old skool hard plastic cup diner that I adore! Don't pass this place up. (Service was great too... super sweet genuine peeps!)

The food and the portions are perfect! And their servers are awesome, they are constantly checking on you and making sure you are taken care of. Maybe a wait on the weekends but so worth it..

The food was good, decent size for a good price. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with smiles. The servers were great. It's a cute little dinner, I enjoyed it, oh yeah and the restrooms were clean.

Just posting an update on my favorite breakfast joint ever. This place never disappoints. 11/10 for me.

Basically paid for a backyard burger. The reviews said this place was great, so my group and I were excited to try a new place. Pros: portions are slightly larger & servers are great Cons: taste & seasoning Although I asked for the tomatoes and pickles on the side, for some reason, they kept them on the burger. Regardless, service was great and they were kind to every person in the restaurant. The size of the burger is slightly larger than those in other burger shops, and the fries were decent. My greatest knock on the place is everything was bland. The burger patty had no seasoning and the fries were just straight potatoes. Yes, I could have doused the burger in sauces, but I dont see why I need to do that to enjoy what im eating. Unless youve been coming here for years and love the feeling of nostalgia, I would say skip this place and try somewhere new.

D J Coffee Shop. It's kind of like working out. You don't really want to go but you have to. First off it's in a really seedy part of San Bernardino. It's old and a bit run down. BUT! I will take my friends and family there for breakfast every chance I get. My 2 sons took me there for after Christmas breakfast. I was sure they were pranking me cause they know at my age I don't venture much out of my comfort zone. The shopping center is a throwback to the late 60's early 70's. I can assure you photos of this strip mall from back then look exactly like the place looks now. They assured me I would be ok. We were seated pretty quick and immediately brought a cup of hot black coffee so already things are looking up. The menu is a collection of classic American comfort food. Portions are ample. My ham steak and eggs were absolutely delicious. I devoured that stuff. My son had the country fried steak with an additional side of pancakes. Oh to be young again. My other boy, the ex Marine had the sirloin steak and eggs. Semper Fi indeed. Great crowd fast service excellent food. Don't let the location or lack of 21st Century ambiance deter you. Go to San Bernardino. Preferably during the daytime and have yourself some good old American food. Definitely Recommended.

This is my go-to greasy spoon when I'm in the area. I've eaten here for about 30 years, off and on. Today I had a chili burger and it was very good. The chili was spot on. And the service is what you would expect from a local diner. The servers seem to know everyone. I will continue to come here any time I'm in town.

DJ's Coffee Shop! The atmosphere in this place reminds me of the show Happy Days or Mel's Dinner! All that to the side. This is my most favorite place to go for breakfast and coffee. I have had several things from the menu from breakfast to dinner. Breakfast is my favorite because it starts the day off right. They always start with a nice cup of coffee and the amazing service just continues until I walk out the door. If you are thinking about stopping by there for breakfast, strongly consider having either the French Toast or the Grilled Chicken & Eggs. It comes with hash browns and side order your choice of toast, pancakes, or biscuits and gravy. ALL GOOD!!!!!!! Now I think I will go there tomorrow for breakfast! See ya there!

It's a hidden mess if you call to make an order to go.But if you dine in, expect good service. DJ's Has a nice menu, and their breakfast is great

Coffee shop is in the name, so the coffee is great. Unfortunately the only good thing I had. I've been living in the Dino for 15 years and after reading all the great reviews I decided to bring visiting family here. We should've just went to Cracker Barrel. I'm all about supporting local businesses first, and the restaurant was indeed packed. This place should count their lucky stars for having their loyal regulars. So everyone needs to tell me the best menu items bc everything I tasted wasn't great. It was like mediocre cafeteria food. Sausage links over fried, waffles weren't it, the gravy on the biscuits couldn't even give moisture to the dry biscuits, and the country fried steak? No bueno. I try the country fried steak everywhere I go, and it wasn't good. Open to menu suggestions.

All their food is so yummy, our server delivered top notch service and was accommodating to our food requests, warm inviting atmosphere :)

We were looking for a restaurant offering comfort food and we found it at DJ's. The menu offers something for everyone and the staff was so welcoming you felt like a regular on your first visit. I had the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich which was as good as any I have ever had and it was a very hearty portion. It's a bit of a drive for us but we will surely be visiting again soon.

Honestly, this is a little hole in the wall place. In a strip mall hidden behind a Carl's Jr. and next door to a sketchy looking liquor store. But ignore all that, cause the food is delicious. I've only ever ate breakfast and I would highly recommend, it's comfort food for sure. The service is good. Each time I've walked in someone yells "sit wherever you want" and then they come help. The food is legit, but servings too. It's become a semi-regular place. I'd probably be here more often if I didn't live in Fontana.

hole in the walls are always good. But honestly I use to love coming here and now I'm kinda eh about this place. Don't know if I would be coming back. The food is always made fresh and portion size is pretty decent. I use to love their biscuits and Gravy, but they changed the gravy, it's not the same. For some reason when we went everyone was in a bad mood. We ordered the country to fried steak And our waitress was so mad. She was complaining to her other coworker about us and all we asked was to changed the country fried steak because it wasn't cooked all the way. She was just mad the whole time. We asked for more bread, because usually it's unlimited bread and she was like we never did that. It was just a really bad experience.

Fantastic classic diner/coffee shop with great food and generous portions. Top Sirloin steak and eggs at $20 is a steal, steak was two meals in and of itself. As per server Brittany -- who was engaging, attentive and completely awesome -- next time I'm trying the NY steak and eggs at $23. Great place, busy on weekends tho so plan accordingly. Seventeen stars.

DJ's brought back the Brisket on the weekends. Kudos and thank you!! I love so many things about DJ's and the staff but that Brisket is wonderful... I hope it returns as a regular menu item. Try it as a menu item...not just a sandwich!

We have been coming to DJ's for years. We have never had a meal that was not good. The service is always the best. I love that I can breakfast for dinner. Lori is the best server. She does not miss a beat. So friendly and accommodating. Great job DJ's. You can not go wrong coming here.

We went here for the first time after recommendations from a number of friends. Now I know what we've been missing! LOVED the old school vibe and furnishings first of all. Both really spoke to my old boomer's heart. LOL. Cool booths and counter seating and lots of neat stuff and funny signage on the walls to check out. Service was nop notch. Super friendly server, Giovanni, welcomed these first time visitors with an authenticity that is refreshing. We also met the manager, Jennifer, who told us a lot about DJs, its history, and how grateful they are to still be in business after 65 years. Our food was delicious. My wife had a patty melt that was perfect. I had an Ortega Chile cheddar cheese omelette and hashbrowns. Yum! LOVE that they serve breakfast all day. That's definitely a plus! So, needless to say, we will be regulars. It's about a 15 minute drive from Redlands and well worth the trip. Last note: During these weird times that we are living in, it is a relief to be around people who are so upbeat and nice, and to patronize a business that makes people feel relaxed and at home.

Go to breakfast place in San Bernardino. Nice diner and has always been a great place for family dinner. Service is always good. Food comes out fast.

DJ's!! What can I say, a great place with friendly service. Of course will always miss the previous owner John Zaharopoulos & his family running the place back in the day. A new family owns it now & it's just as family oriented & delicious. Same great service & food. It's a quaint retro old fashioned coffee shop. I love that. Please keep it original, don't fix what's not broke. Try it out!!

My pancakes had a hair cooked into it. Unfortunately, I found out mid bite..... Not a fan of the coffee, tasted very light/watered down. The place doesn't feel clean either.

Great coffee shop with fair prices and delicious food. I stopped at DJ's coffee shop one Saturday afternoon after attending a work event near north San Bernardino. I had eaten here more than a decade before once and vaguely remembered that the food was hot and the coffee was decent so I thought, Why not?! I ended up settling in for a cup of coffee, a waffle and some fried chicken. Now to be clear, they don't necessarily serve chicken and waffles as a dish on the menu. I did notice that they served fried chicken and did they serve waffles so I made my own dish I asked for a waffle à la carte and fried chicken à la carte. The result was delicious! The chicken was very crispy! It was GBD for sure (that's golden brown and delicious for the uninitiated)! The waffle was also perfect with lists of warm melting butter and served with warm syrup. The restaurant has been serving patrons for 50 years! The food is good and the prices are fair. My only critique was the service could have been a little better. I had to ask for a menu after 15 minutes of sitting and waiting to be offered a drink. For this I dropped a star off the review. That aside I had a good meal in a comfortable environment (the country music on the pandora station was kind of loud and annoying but you can't please everyone...) for a fair price.

Such friendly easy to talk to staff. Everybody that I've had interactions with there is so friendly and talkative. Makes for a nice vibe. Good food also! The restroom was in disarray. Trash everywhere. Need to follow up on the restroom cleaning a bit more often. But hey, I'm not there for the restroom. Good for. Great staff. Need to get that asada salad on the regular rotation menu.

Disappointed that they got an 82 on recent food grade inspection. Many serious issues like rat vermin, wrong storage tempatures. These things can make people sick. When I saw the B in the window was very disappointed. Won't eat at places with this rating. Sorry

Every breakfast place calls themselves the local home-cooking diner but this place really is it. They accommodated us (11 people) and every server is extremely "on it". It's a true family vibes, honest local diner where corned beef hash is $10.99 instead of $18.99 for no reason. Short stack pancake side (2 huge pancakes) were just $5.99. It's a true local gem and everybody seems to know it in the neighborhood. Waiter remembered all 7 things we randomly asked for. Biscuits and gravy were delicious.

This little Diner is a pit stop away driving through the Inland Empire! Great staff great food and quick service! Multiple waitresses have helped me so often can't just pick one ;) just know that they all deserve for their hard work and dedication for this diner ! Much love and respect! See you all soon!

I have never been disappointed with anything that I have ordered. Want a delicious salad, I highly recommend the Greek Salad with grilled chicken , it's amazing. And the staff are very friendly.

So had a bad experience here that turned out good! We had ordered mimosas and coffee when the power went out! The drinks were given to us on the house! While I was there all the customers I spoke to said the food is excellent. I figured that it was a popular place since there was a small line out the door. The food smelled great and the diner had that old time feel. The employees were all very nice. I will definitely return!

A little slice of Heaven! We have been here a handful of times and we are always looking forward to our next visit! Food is phenomenal, prices are wonderful, and the staff is outstanding.
