This was my third stay at D-Resort Šibenik, and in many ways it remains an exceptional property. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece — modern, striking, and perfectly situated. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with large balconies, contemporary finishes, and luxurious bathrooms featuring double sinks and a generous shower. The staff continue to deliver outstanding service: warm, attentive, and professional. The resort also offers two pools, an excellent spa, and beautiful public spaces.
However, the food at the two on-site restaurants was a real letdown this time. In the past, the cuisine was a highlight of my stay, but on this visit it simply did not meet the standard one would expect from a property of this caliber. Flavors were average at best, and our risotto was overcooked to the point of being mush. It’s a noticeable drop in quality compared to my previous visits, and I hope the management takes steps to restore the dining experience to what it once was.
Overall, D-Resort Šibenik is still a stunning and comfortable place to stay — but the food needs a serious rethink to match the excellence found everywhere else on the property.
