D-Town Burger Bar

Amazing burger joint in town! The fries were so addictive and I kept going back to eat more despite being so full. For the burgers, both chicken and beef burgers were very delicious. The best part was the service. The people were nice and were very patient.

A diner like atmosphere in downtown serving typical American food with a welcoming hospitality. We ordered a chicken sandwich and burger. The chicken sandwich was rather large and flavorful. The burger is what you'd expect. So too are the fries. The nice addition was the yummy onion rings we had. Highly recommend the onion rings here. The diner is rather small. We sat at the bar and it was nice to see how our good was being prepared. The cook was gracious and kind. Only one restroom. The location could use a bit of cleaning.

Super clean and fun decor. I pass this place all the time and finally decided to stop in. They were playing Curtis Mayfield over the speakers, which was a green flag. The food came out fast, and while I waited I read some of the newspaper articles posted on the walls. I had one of their specials, the spinach and mushroom burger with fries and a drink. The fries are crispy and well seasoned and the burger was perfectly cooked. The burger bun was amazing, sesame seed classic. Also the chef is so nice! Would definitely recommend.

We come here for the milkshakes. My husband comes here for their breakfasts too. Great prices for delicious plates with eggs and bacon and pancakes. Maybe one day we’ll stay for the burgers! The interior makes me want to stay for more than milkshakes. Classic dinner feel from the 1950’s era. They have a jukebox and red booths with black and white tiles. You can sit up at the bar near the kitchen, my favorite place to take in the feels. The people who work here are friendly and welcoming. They make downtown feel homey with their small town vibes.

Google should allow us to give half stars 🤩 if they did the food would get 4.5 stars. Burgers are fresh and juicy very good almost perfect. The garlic fries are REAL garlic fries not just fries with garlic powder sprinkles on them.

Within walking distance from the Biltmore hotel in downtown L.A. Me and my folks ordered Philly cheesesteaks with fries for dinner and some breakfast burritos to go to eat before our flight the following day. Be very mindful if you go out at night as the area is swarming with homeless people. A homeless man actually walked inside while we were eating and stood over us nonverbally asking us if we could get him some food. We ignored him and he walked out the door. Besides this one incident, the food turned out well and was delicious.

Came here after being disappointed by another restaurant. It was a mood saver! the burgers were good! missing dressing on it a bit but it was still good! fries was also good! I was craving a Coke float and this was the place that has them! on the menu they have Root float but they didn't mind changing that with a coke float upon request. Overall good and will be coming again!

USC Parents Weekend adventure following a delayed flight while staying at the Biltmore- Lyfted here after midnight with my 19 yr old daughter based on YELP. Diner was open late, brightly lit, and serves really good burgers and fries. Counter service refilled our drinks frequently. We each had combos. We opted for the chipotle avocado burger and the pastrami burger. The pastrami burger was the star of the meal. The late night neighborhood vibe is not for the faint of heart, and I don't recommend exploring that part of DTLA at that late hour on foot.

Came across D-Town Burger Bar and it has a vintage vibe in their interior decor. Got a jukebox playing oldies makes you feel you've traveled back in time to the good o' days. D-Town Burger Bar offers more than just burgers, breakfast items as well. I came in waiting for the cashier and I was waiting for a solid minute or two till someone showed up. She was nice and chill and the service after was quick. They take 4% merchant fee for any credit card transactions. I've ordered a Cheeseburger Combo and with cash it comes out to $13.07. Pretty affordable prices! My table was a bit dirty and I can see other tables haven't been fully wiped down. The burger was meh. It was mid to say the least. The patty wasn't juicy and it didn't have much flavor to it. The "seasoned fries" don't have the same seasoning I'm accustomed to. It kinda has a tomato seasoning to it. Overall: I would come back to try their breakfast options but the burger isn't the best. The location is relatively within reach for those who use the Metro.

They clearly forgot my order. Went during my 30 minute lunch break, placed my order at the counter, waited atleast 20 minutes to only be asked if I was ready to order and I saw the cook had just placed my order of fries and chicken strips in the fryer. Also, I was the only one ordering and there was maybe 2 patrons eating so it's not like they were busy. In fact, the cook was in the back sitting down on his phone when I turned to Check the status of my order since it had been a long wait already. Usually my other orders are quicker so I was curious to know why my order of basic strips and fries was taking long. When I got my food, the fries were not cooked thoroughly and there was a cold sweet potato fry in the mix. Also, only had 10 minutes left of my lunch break so I couldn't even eat much. Very disappointed.

My coworker was craving breakfast at 2 pm and most places in DTLA stopped serving at 12pm, but just before we gave up we decided to give this place a try. The diner it self is so cute, I love the 50s style decor and cashier was very polite/friendly. I ordered the French toast special and it was delicious, I unfortunately forgot to snap a quick photo before I devoured it lol. My friend also enjoyed her food as well, we definitely will return next time we're craving a Late breakfast.

I came here on a Saturday night at about 11:30pm. It' is located in a busy area of downtown, so parking is hard to find. The inside seating is quite spacious with booths and it was clean. The server quickly took our order and answered our questions. Our burgers were fresh and tasty and my fries were good, too?

Classic diner with affordable prices. I ordered two pancakes and scrambled eggs. This retro style aesthetic mod art decor. The food is decent, typical diner that feels like food from home. The pancakes could be less fluffy for my taste. The menu is affordable and the staff are nice however you serve yourself to the booths. The syrup was too thin, I prefer a thick maple syrup. The restaurant water was fresh. Open late on weekends and restroom located in back of diner.

I've heard a lot of negative stuff about this place so I decided to try it and to my suprise I'm giving it a positive review! First things first, this place is a diner and I mean a cheap diner. Don't expect high class nothing! Expect basic burger and fries, patty melts, diner breakfast with no frills and may other classic flat top American favorites. All of this in a really cool 50's style diner setting. Also the staff was on point! The reason I like this place is because #1 is very cheap #2 again no frills diner food and it tastes good #3 they are open till 3AM! #4 the restaurant looks hella cool. So if your looking to save some cash and grab something quick and easy, morning or late night this is your place.

Pretty diving - but we were hungry. It's the total sum of just ok. More of a place to go and take a seat at the window or a corner and write about all the things you see. Just an interesting display of humanity. That might be the best part. The food was OK. The place is suppose to be known for burgers (but we went for breakfast.) We really wanted breakfast plus and there was no vegan/vegetarian options for my sister. Breakfast is good anytime. We sat at the counter top to watch the people work. Answered phone sin a straight voice. Talked with people that came in the door. A few "interesting" characters came in and out. The food...It was some of the most amazingly average food that I find it hard to write many words. Look at pictures. It was ok. Staff was efficient - two man crew that did it all. Neither were mean or necessarily friendly on a chill Saturday morning.

Classic diner in the heart of DTLA. Great burgers and really friendly staff. I always ask for the fries well done and they're always on point; crispy and fresh. Diner has an old school vibe to it. Really recommend it.

First of all forget about parking on 6th street. You only have one shot to find a space as it's a one way street. There are some lots on Spring and later on 6th before you get to Main so keep it in mind. This is a pretty gritty area of downtown so just expect to see a little of everything happening here. Food is pretty decent. I enjoyed their burgers. Their turkey burger is also pretty good. I've also enjoyed some of their breakfast plates and the breakfast burrito. You must tell them easy potatoes and even then be careful because they will load it up with potato's and I hate having a potato burrito. You get great value here if you order directly from the store versus the third party apps. All in all this is place I think about coming back to. The scene inside is a whole 50's type of diner. Something to enjoy when you stop by. And they're open late too. Like super late. They cater to the people stumbling out the clubs and needing some place greasy to soak up the alcohol they drank haha

I ordered on Uber Eats and spent over $40. Honestly the food was not worth the money . The fries were very soggy and when I asked for chipotle sauce on my burger they drenched it in the sauce and made the burger very soggy as well. I also paid $5 for onion rings and it only came with 3! The chicken strips were very hard and overcooked. I'm very disappointed because I love to try new restaurants and I order in very often and lately have been disappointed in the overpriced food and horrible service. Restaurants need to do better.

This company is double taxing everyone. Just reported them to BBB and cdtfa.ca.com. The listed price is not what they charge. They say "tax is added" so a $4.99 burger is $5.18. Ok. But then they add tax on the bottom of the transaction as well. Completely fraud of their customers. This is incredibly illegal and imagine how many people they are doing this to. Update since owner replied: I had not even paid. The burger was $4.99 on the menu and the milkshake $3.99 and the total came to $11.49. I asked why the price was like that and he said the price is tax added. He said I can't change the price I just work here. Just to be clear $5.18 isn't 4% added from $3.99. Never told me or asked me if I was paying cash or card. So I just walked out. In conclusion, yes it is absolutely tax fraud. Also, just to prove my point I'm going to have a friend go in there, pay cash and see the prices. Cheers!

I try there avocado burgers and today I try chicken quesadilla it was amazing thank you guys.

it hits just how it's supposed to you see this place and you're just hoping it's going to be as good as you think it is. i've been coming here since 2021 and it's pretty consistent. downtown itself can be treacherous out so you have to account for variables. i love the ambience and the decor of the place, retro and nostalgic. the service is what you expect in a metro area with rampant chaos but our order came out correct and quick. like i said at the beginning "just how it's supposed to", d town burger always comes through.

DTLA at night, especially around the business area, is kind of a food desert. You can walk down to Little Tokyo or the Grand Central Market area, but that's a bit of a hike. Broadly speaking, food in this area caters towards people who work in DTLA - aka young urban professionals who think burgers should be $20 and fit in your palm. Luckily, the burgers here are both under $20 and significantly larger than my palm! D-Town Burger Bar is a pretty simple, sorta fast-food place. You order at the counter, they serve traditional fast food. Burgers, fries, shakes, the like. There are multiple reasons I have gone to this place so often. First, the burgers are decent. Greasy but not too greasy. You can order them with whatever you want in them. I tried the Corona Burger (lol) and it was pretty decent, though it was packed with every imaginable burger ingredient imaginable (and I don't love my burgers with avocado and what not). I actually think their normal double burger combo is the best thing on the menu. They grill the burgers and sandwiches right in front of you, and that means that the food is hot and fresh once it gets to you. Some people get this to-go, but I strongly recommend eating in because that's how you get the warmest and freshest foodge. Fries in particular are some of my favorite fries out there. They come out piping hot, covered in nice cajun dry rub, and just overall the perfect size to enjoy both the warm gooey potato inside and the crispy, fresh out of the fryer skin. I think the fries are really what kept on making me come back. Another plus - they're also open really late! Very convenient! A lot of times, they'll be the only real sit-down food option open at say, 2 AM on a Saturday. And despite having no competition, they're still pretty good! Prices aren't turbo-cheap, but they're pretty good by DTLA standards. Anyways, if you're in this part of downtown (dunno, stuck there for work or something once COVID ends and the laptop class heads back to their cubicles), or if you're stupidly drunk there at like 1 AM in the morning, either way, can't go wrong with getting a burger here!

Probably the worst meal I've ever had. Burger was OK but the fries were disgusting, clearly cooked in oil that hasn't been changed in a LONG TIME.

As you can see in the photo, I ordered a burger, payed full price, but got 1/3rd of a burger. 2/3rds of the bun was empty. Unbelievable that anyone making food for humans would think this is an acceptable practice. This is rude and criminal. Do NOT go here.

The Food was great. I was Dtla and had to UberEats, this was the closest thing to me. I got the Chipotle burger, and the Turkey burger. Cheddar cheese added on both. Fire. Good quality burger and the fries are seasoned well with a crisp taste even if they get cold they're still good.

The chips were really soft, like they were barely cooked. Not spiced at all. Maybe we're just biased because we like crunchy fries. The patties were mid. My pulled pork sandwich smelled kinda off. The tables were messy. Maybe their breakfast is better though.

Los Angeles has many burger places, but D-Town's burgers really are fantastic. The owner and chef Pedro really makes a terrific burger. Also, his french fries are unbelievable. It's one of the only times I've had french fries and you can save her the taste of the potato in addition to the fried skin. The whole place has a great 1950s vibe with great service as well. I'm definitely coming back.

I gotta say finding a gem like this is amazing. I've tried all these fancy burger joints with all the marketing blah blah in the area downtown. Over hyped and too expensive. Who wants to pay for toppings on a burger?... D-Town gets it right every single time. I'm telling you these burgers are amazing. You won't be charged for toppings on a burger and you won't be spending an arm and a leg for a burger and fries. Price wise you're looking at In-n-out prices from 3 years ago. A double cheeseburger WITH bacon for $10?! Wow. These burgers are super juicy, packed with flavor and not super salty like ForTheWin. It's a classic 50s style diner hole in the wall and the owners are amazing cooking himself and his wife or girlfriend on the register. They are sweethearts. I see them giving to the community in the area. I'm telling you in my opinion this is the best burger in DTLA!

This place is really only just ok. Only saving grace for this place is that it's open late. Everything about it is sub par from food to cleanliness. It's so hard to find good food thats actually opened late.

Literally only worth going to because you have no other choice after midnight. Mediocre food and shockingly bad service. My girlfriend was initially repeatedly ignored by the man making the food despite being ready to order. A few hot young girls in club attire, though? Immediate service. Awesome. We were desperate for food after trying three other places, so I just went up, got his attention, and asked if he was still taking orders. He said yeah, then turned around and kept cooking. I said I was ready to order and he said that the other lady would take my order in a couple of minutes. What other lady? The one hanging out in the back. She came out and took my order: two meals, one for a Philly, one for a double bacon cheeseburger with avocado. I had to go over it with her twice, then again when she asked me if my order was correct on the screen; half of it wasn't. Her mistakes weren't because of any kind of miscommunication or because she couldn't hear me, she just wasn't paying attention, frequently getting distracted by jabbering away with with cook and a regular who was eating at the bar. This would continue to be a problem with other customers as we waited for our food. Somehow, our order came out to FIFTY DOLLARS. I have no idea why or how, but I was too exhausted to argue. Whatever. The girl continued to talk VERY loudly, shouting for no reason and giving a lot of really weird attitude to any customers who were confused by the very unclear and confusing menu. She talked the way that some people do when flirting, except this wasn't flirting, it was just her trying to be clever and playful in a weirdly mean way. Our order didn't come out all at once, she handed us one item at a time, even though they were ready within the same few minutes, so I had to get up five separate times to get everything. As for the food, it's below average. Poorly constructed and under-seasoned. The fries were unsalted, just seasoned with this red powder that didn't add anything. We had to salt them ourselves using salt packets. A nice little extra touch: the lady sitting behind us who'd been there since before we arrived? They FORGOT TO MAKE HER ORDER. This poor woman ended up waiting over an hour for chicken strips. CHICKEN STRIPS. They were just frozen ones that needed to be dumped into the fryer for a few minutes! AN HOUR. This place is fine if you have ABSOLUTELY no other choice, but good lord, avoid this place at all costs otherwise.

I stopped by for dinner as I was in the mood for a cheeseburger. The atmosphere is 50's diner with stools along the counter plus tables for couples or small groups. I ordered the cheeseburger combo, upgraded the fries to onion rings, and a regular fountain drink Coke. The food was good and it's your standard style diner burger.

I figured out that cheese is extra, so this time I used the option to get 'Extra Cheese'. The Veggie (Cheese) burger was really good and very tasty, the fries are amazing, and I got side sauces (1000 and Chipotle Mayo) which worked really well as dipping sauces. All total only about $16, so not bad and good amount of food, so not disappointed. They did forget my 1000 sauce and Jalapenos side orders, but they were just busy and forgot to put them in the bag, so CHECK YOUR ORDER before you leave; it helps them out too. Overall, great lunch and very grateful for the hard work. Thanks!

I've been sleeping on this place for a few weeks sense I moved In next door but I gotta say I will not be buying burgers from anywhere else for a hot minute. All my love to the chef. Good quick service. Nothing to really write home about. the beef patty is kind of dinky. Though I'm not as upset as shake shack and their smurf burgers, due to the price point.

Stumbled across this little gem on the way to a mail appointment and needed to kill time. My chipotle avocado burger, fries and fresh pressed juice were DELICIOUS. I thought the service was good too. Traditional diner feel with plenty of options.

Hey guys, I just came to leave a review on how good the food and staff is at this spot and noticed there was a nasty review posted about one of my favorite employees that work here. I've been going to this spot for over a year now and she has always been extremely nice, attentive, and thoughtful during every single visit. And I see her treat every customer with the same kind hearted energy and respect. Glass is nothing short of an entitled customer who was upset about paying extra for a couple of sauces. And then caused a scene, harassed an employee, and took unsolicited photos of her. All because she was reinforcing company policy. It's honestly giving male Karen.... AND Let's not forget this burger joint is located in DTLA. Not the safest area to be working in. So you can imagine the kind of activity that happens in the area. The kind of discomfort these employees must face on a day to day whilst working long hours and tending to every customer with care, patience, and efficiency. The audacity to give them a hard time, ESPECIALLY over some sauces, is beyond me.

Service was quick and the burger was ready before the quoted time ---avocado burger: I had been craving a burger and this burger hit the spot! Friendly, but scattered cashier! Training is needed! I went last night an ordered a turkey burger and fries. I asked if they had fat or skinny fries, I wanted fat fries! She seeemed confused! So I just said larger fries! And I order tax checks dressing! While waiting I added jalapeños because I saw someone else get it! So I get my food! I'm excited I go to my car and begin driving home! I reach for a French fry! One or two fries was a FAT fry! So they DO have them?! Confused! I dig for my ranch dressing! To dip my fries in! Nothing! No ranch in my bag! So I have to drive all the way, around corners because it's a one way street, not easy to return, too! I go back and she is busy looking go an order! Doesn't even acknowledge I'm back after ten minutes!!! She can't find this dudes order, then tells him someone already picked it up! Welp! Then she finds the ticket on the floor and tells him ten more minutes! Then it's my turn again! Ranch! They need training! Condiments are an easy check right before e you hand someone a bag! There were no napkins either! At 1am, you don't want to drive back, or go home without what you craved! Ranch and Fat fries!!!

Good food not to high might be a homeless person sitting in the restaurant but don't worry they won't bite as long as you don't look at them but the burgers are 8/10

I LOVED this place. Always getting food here. So it breaks my heart to leave this review. They hadn't done me wrong until this week:( I love to call ahead and grab my food from here. I called ahead for a Pancake combo. I was so excited.... And then I opened the box I even tried to put butter and syrup to make it better. This just wasn't a pancake. This was just.. idk LOOK AT IT... AND When I called to place the order, the man I spoke to asked if I wanted fruit in my pancakes. I asked what type of fruit and he said strawberries and bananas. I asked if I could have it on the side, he said yes. (I love fresh fruit, so why not level up this breakfast) atleast that's what I was thinking was going to happen. When I was charged an extra $6 for the fruit, I didn't blink an eye because it's fruit. But then I opened the little bowl with my fruit and was graced with strawberry preserves and a chopped up banana. I guess I would have liked a heads up. $6 for frozen strawberries and a banana? GIRL be for REAL Usually really good food, good price and fast service, so this was a new experience for me...

Wish they'd get earlier morning hours and later night hours. The food is a bit on the high scale but well worth it, for the most part.

So they pulled the Corona Burger from their menu. As much as I appreciate the Macabre humor, it was for the best considering how many people have died in this pandemic. Now what I hope to see would be some sort of vaccination themed item pop up.

Strawberry shake was amazing for $4.68. Both burgers were juicy and delicious. The customer service was incredible and my boyfriend and I came back a couple of hours later to have more shakes and the guy working the counter recognized us. Incredible place in DTLA and is open late Thursdays-Saturdays! 9am-3pm. Parked a block over and walked. Great burger place!

Oh yes, to the yes, to the hell d***n yes. Mannnn there burgers and fries are nothing to play with. Everything always taste fresh and you can add just about anything on your burger. No diggidy no doubt. Staff is hella dope - especially the late night crew, she holds it down as the cashier/security, at the same da**n time. She's a real one and a whole vibe.

The 50's carhop theme caught my eye walking by the other day, so checked them out on Yelp and stopped back by today for the old school counter service. In the DTLA land of $15 burgers, I'm always looking out for reasonable lunch spots and this place fits the bill. They weren't busy and I sat right away and have my order in a little over 5-min. The restaurant is VERY clean, the staff was pleasant and attentive and the food was a good value; a double burger, fries and coke under $10. It's not the greatest burger in the world, but fresh and quick. The fries were ok, seemed like the oil was on the verge of needing a change, but still good; I should've added salt and pepper while still hot out of the fryer.

Very well put together spot !! All the food is made right in front of you and oh my it's delicious!! Many food items on the menu and the Cook coco makes the most amazing breakfast sandwiches it's a must !

Went back to give them another shot. I was not mistaken with my original review. I ordered a simple burger and fries no cheese. The cook is a pig the way he handles the food. He put cheese in my burger and when I asked the front guy to confirm what I asked for, the cook took the cheeses off thinking I would not notice. The place I trash and a health hazard for those who want clean food.

For $10.50 at D-Town Burger Bar you can get yourself a simple veggie burger, fries, and a large drink. I would say that is quite the bargain compared to a lot of burger joints in LA! The burger itself is really simple: veggie burger, lettuce, cheese, sauce, and bun. So if you're looking for an extravagant gourmet veggie burger, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for something simple yet satisfying for a grease craving, come right ahead. The fries were a little soft and greasy for my liking, but the amount of salt was on point!

It's a Friday night, September 30th at 9:36pm. Me and my friend came here to purchase food. While we where in line to purchase food, I asked to use the restroom which she responded in a rude tone that you have to wait until you purchase. Which I said okay and she responded that we have a bunch of drug addicts that come inside here. I responded I understand that but I feel that I was being racially profiled by a girl that said her name was Jasmine. I understand that we are in the downtown area but for her to make that comment is not okay. She proceeded to raise her voice and be rude. I will not be back here for business. The customer service that I experienced here at this location was not okay.

Food was really good! Fresh fry's made to order. Not very clean, and staff wasn't too excited to be there- but you know what; the food was good!

This place is a sweet surprise! It's nestled in the middle of the block between a mini market and a jewelry swap meet. I walk by often in a hurry to get my coffee on the corner. The mornings bring a lot of locals and I never have time I finally made it in. There's a whole side menu beyond the menu. They offer all kinds of burgers! I ordered the Spinach Mushroom burger. The meat was thick and juicy. It was tasty! The onion rings were thick and crunchy. Hubby ordered The Corona Burger. What the actual heck?! It was about 6" high in the tray. It had two thick, juicy patties covered with cheese. There was a couple giant onion rings in it. A fried egg snuggled the crispy lettuce and tomatoes. There was so much bacon in it we lost count. Avocado was the glue that held it all together. The French fries are made of real potatoes, cut and seasoned perfectly. I can go on....the juke box....the shakes...the Coca-Cola chairs....
