We visited this restaurant in June 2025. Today, months later, it came back to our mind while we were in the car, it’s one of those places you remember. We realized we should have left a review. We arrived on a very hot day, hungry after exploring the region, and decided to trust the owner for a recommendation. He was incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about what he does, so we let him bring his specialties. It was the best decision! The food was outstanding, featuring high-quality ingredients prepared with genuine care. The fresh salad, the perfectly marinated meat, and the delicious ravioli were all a delight. Honestly, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We’d love to come back if we are ever in the area again!

We had the three pasta sampler, one better than the next. The turkey with sweet potatoes and carrot ketchup was out of this world, delicious, highly recommended. For desert we had panna cotta, so light and wobbly, outstanding! Looking forward to coming back someday.

We had read the large number of negative reviews regarding the service/attitude of the owner, however we thought we'd try it anyway as the food sounded so good. SO GLAD WE DID Absolutely no complaints. The food was even better than we expected and, maybe its a result of the negative reviews, the owner and service were excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and he was not at all rude. It's been the best meal we've had all holiday and would definitely go back.

We shared a lovely evening at Da Alighiero, which is just a short walk from the main square, Piazza Baldaccio, in Anghiari. The Florentine steak was amazing, the wine was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic. We had the opportunity to meet the proprietor, Sylvia, who is such a delightful and interesting woman - she was so welcoming, both to her restaurant and to the town. I can guarantee we will be back!

Amazing food, and really friendly service. This place has a lot of character with it's traditional theme and setting. The food was amazing, especially the tripe and gnocchi. Combined with the cold cuts plate was a lot of food and appropriately priced. We also got a local bottle of wine recommended by our very friendly server, Gianni. Will definitely return.

Everything about this place is memorable. Really quality homemade food, an imaginative menu, a huge selection of wine and wonderful personal customer service. The pasta is all homemade and served with delicious sauces. We visited with a child in a wheelchair and got in easily, the table height was perfect and the hosts made sure we were comfortable. A must visit place. We will certainly go back.

Real tastes in this typical trattoria. Regional food like "Pappa al Pomodoro" and "Bringoli al Ragù" are just amazing. The restaurant is managed by the husband as the waiter and the wife as the chef. They are quick, efficient and every dish is really full of taste. The place is ancient but still very well kept.

A delicious place with an impressive number of Michelin signs. We tried pasta, duck breast, salad with oranges, wines, and panna cotta. All these were great! ❤️ I can recommend this place 👍

Completely delicious, off an unassuming piazza. The chef is charming and the dishes could not be better.

The most memorable restaurant of our 6 week trip in Italy. We had countless wonderful meals but Sylvia and Gianni's was the best. Sylvia's food is sublime. We went back several times and tried almost everything on the menu before we left town. The food is delicious, creative and beautifully presented. The decor is historic but not pretentious and Sylvia and Gianni are wonderful people. My husband was nostalgic just now, wishing we could go there for dinner as we sit here half way around the world. That should tell you how good it is because it was eight months ago and we both still remember it with much love.

One of the very best meals I had in Italy. This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but my group was really impressed by just how charming it in on the inside. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with wine bottles lining the wall and a lovely archway. We came in for lunch and I was looking for something light. I was happy to see that I could get turkey with wine sauce and vegetables. It was downright delicious. We also sipped the house white wine. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the meals. The staff recognized that we were English speakers from the beginning and provided us with the menu in English. The English speaking chef came out and took the time to talk to us about the menu. I really loved the experience here and only wish we could have come back for dinner one night as I'm sure it would be a real treat!

It's a small town, so it's surprising to find a great restaurant. Our hotel staff suggested it and we split the three pasta sampler and their duck. Everything was great. Restaurant is two small rooms in old part of town. We'd come again
