"Da Andrea was founded on Hudson Street in the West Village in 1993 in a very small space, but 10 years later moved into the current much larger location near the New School. The menu expanded, too, from its Bolognese roots to covering food from all over Italy, including a substantial collection of Sicilian dishes like zuppe di pesce loaded with seafood, and a penne with eggplant and tomato sauce. A varied wine list at several price points is another plus." - Robert Sietsema

The he food was wonderful 5 star. The prices for the food were also reasonable 5 star. The prices for the desserts were high 3 star as each was the same as the pasta dishes. The reason for the 2 star review was they rushed us. They would clear the table sometimes before we were done multiple times; after the appetizer, after the main & event after dessert. Then the put the check on the table without us asking for it. It was an hour & 15 minutes. There were 3-4 other empty tables inside and 10+ empty tables outside. We paid $300 for 4 people. For $75 a head, you’d think they would let us take our time. I’d also understand if there were customers waiting but there were plenty of empty tables with no line outside. I DO NOT recommend this place despite the great food and ambiance.

Went to Chelsea location for fixed price lunch. Great deal. Excellent food. Biggest surprises were: the grilled octopus (worth $6 extra), mushroom truffle risotto and the steak (worth $9 extra, perfectly cooked great flavor). Nice atmosphere

Google
Beautiful place for dinner with friends or a date night. I definitely recommend booking a table in advance. We ordered a salad with warm octopus as an appetizer, and it was pretty good. Their signature dish, Cavatelli di ricotta with shrimps and salmon, was delicious — something very unique compared to classic pasta dishes. The homemade pesto sauce is flavorful and light. The service at this place is superb; we were pleasantly surprised with a nice bonus of biscotti cookies at the end. I’d definitely love to come back to try their other pasta dishes.

Google
Very nice restaurant, I think I’ll return for great food. We had a party of 7 and everyone was satisfied with their orders, antipasti were good too (we got octopus salad and mix of fried calamari, shrimp and zucchini). Deserts were great, we ordered big selection of them for the table and shared, so I had a chance to sample many and each of them I’d order again. Slight minus of the place is that servers are a bit slow to attend. We spilled water on the table and it took a while before someone finally collected wet napkins from us and attended to the table. However, besides that I have no complaints. Waiter was friendly, provided us with great recommendations, food came quickly. It’s a pricy place but totally worth it, good food guaranteed.

Google
Came here on a Friday night and you definitely need a reservation to dine in. The restaurant was at capacity by 8pm. Overall I loved the vibe of this spot and the food was fantastic as well. It wasn’t too loud, so it’s a perfect spot for date night with lots of options walking distance to grab a drink after

Google
Very nice atmosphere for a nice Italian restaurant to dine in. Not necessarily considered fine dining but right below it. I’ve personally had better tasting Italian food at other places but this one is still decent. The waitress and host were very nice. The downside to this restaurant is the long wait times. Expect to wait an hour on average if you do not have a reservation. My personal experience is that I did not have a reservation and walked in on a Friday night which was to be expected. That resulted in a very long wait. However, I did observe other parties that had a reservation, either big or small, still waiting for a table. It goes to show that it is a nice place to eat at and to plan accordingly. Otherwise it’s a decent spot.

This place is a fantastic Italian restaurant! 🇮🇹 Da Andrea on Greenwich Village 🗽 offers a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 Italian dishes. 🍽️ Definitely try the Chicken 🐔, Carbonara 🥓 Pasta 🍝, Spinach🥬 Ravioli, and Lamb 🐑 Shank! 🍖 Everything is absolutely delicious! 😋 Staff 👨‍🍳 is friendly and professional, ambience 🎶 is great, the place is nicely decorated 🛋️, and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. 🪑 Making an online 🖥️ reservation 🛎️ in advance is recommended. I wish I knew about this place sooner! ⏰

Google
Favorite meal of the weekend! I was torn between two meals and asked for a recommendation from the server and he said one of my options had an article written about it, so I had to try it. It was so good and I'm not even a huge pesto eater. The pasta was made/infused w (ricotta?) cheese, and the pesto sauce excluded pine nuts because so many people are allergic and they wanted everyone to be able to enjoy the dish. 🤗 Definitely recommend! Friendly service, cozy spot, and delicious food and wine.

Yelp
We love De Andrea in Chelsea! Jullio was so attentive and really took care of the table! Not only did he show us the amazing specials, food and great drinks he made the experience so enjoyable! The food is to die for! 10/10

Yelp
Our entire experience was amazing. Every member of the staff was friendly, attentive and helpful with questions and requests. The food was top-notch -- highly recommend the bolognese and carbonara and end the night with a gelato and/or panna cotta. The place itself is cozy and charming. If you're in the area, you need to stop in!

Yelp
Everything is great! Great food. Great service. The taste of the veal meatballs was amazing. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Christy L.

Yelp
The food is very good, service is great, bathroom are small. We order Filetto Di Manzo, Spaghetti alla Chitarra con Salsa alla Bolognese . Coke and hot water. Coke is $5 each They charge are bar service??? $15 fee which I don't understand. But other than thay everything is great .

Yelp
We loved Da Andrea so much, we visited twice during our six day trip! My daughter said the seafood (salmon, lobster and crab) ravioli was the best thing she ate on our trip. The sauce was decadent and the ravioli stuffed with seafood. I had the squid ink pasta which was quite nice. My husband and son each had the carbonara and really liked it. This location is a warm, inviting restaurant that's on the nicer side, but was still plenty inviting for my kids. The servers were all great, very friendly and helpful. Extra shoutout to the manager that ran my handbag out to me before I had even realized I had left it! Love this spot!

Luna C.

Yelp
First off, I loved the bread they served at the start - it was warm and had olives mixed in. The warm octopus was a bit of a miss for me. While the texture was nice, it was a bit too salty for me. The squid ink pasta, on the other hand, was flavorful. Though I did notice the clams were on the smaller side, probably because they're not in season. The ravioli was creamy, but I was hoping for a bit more spinach flavor. Overall, a good experience.

Yelp
Really late in reviewing this place but I really love this location and this restaurant. Great restaurant to go to for date nights, or lunches. Waiter was super nice and amicable and made great recommendations for us. We've gone to their Chelsea location but we preferred this location simple because it felt less crowded and more personable which might be our preference to their particular staff and space. Highly recommend their octopus appetizer, called "Insalata tiepida di polipo" if it's available. I haven't been here in awhile so I'm unsure if their menu changes seasonally or whatever, but if you see it on there, please get it. My husband hadn't had octopus before trying this restaurant, and because of them, he loves it now. It was so tender and delicious, cooked masterfully. Can't wait to come back. The interior is intimate, but not super dark and gloomy, it's just a lovely place to go out and enjoy some good food.

Yelp
One of my NYC favorite pasta places is Da Andrea mainly because how well they treat the diners well with outstanding service. It has that cozy NYC restaurant feel. Certainly it helps with good base pasta and sauces. I have found this consistently on my travels to NYC.

Yelp
We were visiting New York City and meeting up with some relatives for a show at the Village Vanguard and wanted to find a place nearby for a nice dinner. Since we'd been to Da Andrea for brunch in the past, we decided to try it for dinner. We were not disappointed! Here is what we noticed: - Broad menu, with both pasta as well as meats/proteins. There were also several specials. - I started with the Insalata Tiepida Di Polipo, which was excellent and a great sized portion. My wife got a salad special of the day, which was OK (the pears in it were overripe). For dinner, my wife ordered the Gnocchetti Di Patate and I ordered the Tagliolini Neri Alle Vongole...both dishes were good, but the gnocchitti was the standout hit. The four of us split the Panna Cotta for dessert, which was excellent. - There was a good selection of Italian wines, with prices you would expect in NYC. The entree prices were pretty reasonable to me given the portion sizes. - Service was great and the atmosphere inside is cozy, a bit loud, but very comfortable. Bottom line: We had a great experience again at Da Andrea and would return anytime!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a friends birthday and it was so perfect! Food: -Warm octopus salad: We all loved this dish. The octopus was so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend -Cavatelli di Ricotta: This pasta was made in-house, so the texture and flavor was perfect. The pesto wasn't too oily which I liked and there was a decent amount of shrimp and salmon included. -Cappellacci Tartufo e Porcini: This was my favorite pasta dish we tried. It was recommended by our server. The raviolis were large and the truffle flavor inside was incredible. It was so rich and creamy. Would definitely get this dish again! They offer indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor dining is decorated with beautiful flowers. Overall, loved my experience at this restaurant and would come back with friends.

Yelp
After falling in love with the Chelsea location, I knew I had to visit this one as well! We came here on a Friday evening in the summer without a reservation--very last minute. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated at a beautiful table for two right in front of the restaurant. Unlike many NYC spots with outdoor seating, this one had so much character. Similar to the Chelsea location, the exterior was adorned with gorgeous pink flowers, but this one also featured string lights outside, creating such a cozy and inviting vibe. Now, onto the food! To my delight, this location was just as amazing as the Chelsea one. I ordered the same meal: the Burrata Con Basilico as my starter, the Cappellacci Tartufo E Porcini as my entrée, and the Tortini Di Cioccolato for dessert. Each dish was just as delicious as I remembered, and I was blown away all over again. When comparing the two locations, the food quality is identical--both are exceptional. However, the ambiance differs. The Chelsea location feels more upscale and perfect for special occasions, while the Village location has a more casual, laid-back vibe, perfect for a dinner with friends or a relaxed dinner. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the city. No matter which location you choose, you're guaranteed an incredible meal and a great vibe.

Yelp
Stopped in here for a lunch to celebrate a friend moving to Singapore! Inside, the confines are cozy and a lot of dark wood and plaster, paintings and small chairs and tables. The ceilings are a bit lower and outside also has some seating. We were seated quickly at the opening and given the dinner menu at lunch time on a weekday, I'm not sure if they have a lunch menu other than the brunch menu on weekends so maybe they need to relabel the menu. To start, we had three appetizers, the tuna tartar was excellent in a tower, rich and creamy avocado and not too many vegetables. The burrata was fairly standard, and the octopus with potatoes was okay, a little crisp and crunch on the potatoes was good. The homemade bread here was excellent, little olive oil and salt and seasoning made them very tempting to eat a lot of, which would have spoiled the rest of the lunch. Little tray of olive oil with olives was very favorful. We shared a pasta, the tagliolini neri alle vongole, a squid ink pasta with clams. It was ok, clams were smaller than the ones we had a bottle tribeca. A main course of a filet mignon with spinach over potatoes and with truffle butter was cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy and savory. Dessert Panna cotta was firm and cold, delicious. The creme brulee was also very good. Solid desserts and steak, appetizers were ok. The bread here fantastic. Pasta not as good as I've had elsewhere, but overall a good lunch spot as I'd come back for the bread alone!

Yelp
The ambiance, service, drinks and food were phenomenal! We were visiting from out of town and enjoyed it all! The servers ended our night with complimentary homemade limoncello and that was the top of the evening! Thank youb

Stacey M.

Yelp
I so wanted to like this place but the service was off. We walked past on a busy Saturday night and liked the vibe so we decided we would see if there was bar room or a table available. The hosts were incredibly friendly and were able to snag us a table, which we were pleasantly surprised by considering how busy it was. We weren't starving so we figured we would both get a couple drinks and just order entrees rather than getting any apps/sides, etc. We ordered some wine and attempted to order our entrees but the server was obviously displeased that we did not get an appetizer. She asked multiple times and suggested a few options, even after being told that we only wanted (/had room for) entrees. She eventually agreed to put in our order but kept swinging by while we were eating our entrees to see if we wanted to order anything else. We both got sizable plates of pasta ( so regular/large sized entrees) so we found this behavior very strange, especially given our earlier discussion with her. We had been hoping to stay to order another glass of wine and maybe a dessert but after that we were ready to get out of there. We ended up stopping at another place down the road to get another drink as we didn't want to end the night on such a weird note. Food was good enough but I don't think we would come back, especially when there's so many other spots in the area!

Sierra D.

Yelp
Called day of for a last min reservation, Andres made it happen and was able to accommodate our party! When we arrived we were greeted by Sidy that made sure we were happy with our seating arrangements. Ordered the tuna tartar and Caesar salad to share and each ordered a pasta. Spaghetti Bolognese. Parppadelle. Both amazing! Thank you Da Andrea for the excellent service and complimentary espresso martini's

Connie H.

Yelp
This place has been on my to visit list for a long time and it was a pleasant experience! Loves: + Yummy pasta! I had the fettuccine al tartufo ($25) and enjoyed it + A nice touch is they shred the parmesan at the table for ya + Attentive service + Nice floral arrangements outside + Pretty easy to get a reservation There's a lunch special that looks pretty fab and it's $30 for a three course prix-fixe menu. Perhaps I'll do that on a future visit here!

Tom H.

Yelp
First time at Da Andrea based on Yelp recommendations. Typical red sauce joint, of course was packed in a Saturday during the holiday season. Initially off putting when the wait staff was taking plates away while we weee still chewing. I get you have to turn the tables but I had to ask him to stop when it happened again. Meals came quick but at least then we got to sit and enjoy. Won't ding them for the rush, food was excellent and we had a nice night.

Addison P.

Yelp
Recently ate here when in the area. The service was great. It's a very pretty style restaurant. The food was good.

Eunice L.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious food 10/10! Highly recommend. Tuna tartare, risotto, octopus and gelato were delicious.

Amelia S.

Yelp
A group of 6 of us dined at Da Andrea outside. The service was amazing and we were able to grab drinks at the bar inside while our table was being prepared. The pasta was just OK in my opinion. I got the tagliatelle with clams. The clams were cleaned properly, but altogether the dish was too salty and lacked any other flavor. I tried a few bites of the pappardelle which was good, but was missing the depth of flavor and richness you expect. Come for the ambiance, drinks, and service. It is a great place for drinks + apps.

Megan H.

Yelp
I had been thinking about trying Da Andrea for a while, but never made it until now. We came for lunch on a whim and got the truffle pasta and lobster eggs benedict. I thought at first that the truffle pasta was really good, but as I kept eating, I felt like it was almost too rich but also not saucy enough. The lobster benedict was average, since I have definitely had better benedicts. Overall, it was a decent meal!

Christine L.

Yelp
Nice Italian spot with delicious pastas and cute vibe! I came on a Sunday afternoon, and they apparently had live music, which we were too early for :( For food we ordered the Chitarra alla carbonara and the Pappardelle with the lamb ragu. The carbonara is creamy and delicious if a bit untraditional, with a good bite from the pasta. The lamb ragu was a tad salty, but the pasta itself was perfectly made and the lamb was tender. Service is fine, nothing special. Overall I'm glad I stopped by- good pasta w/ a nice ambiance!

Kristina M.

Yelp
Lovely family dinner at Da Andrea last night. Staff was attentive and knowledge about the menu. Menu itself is pretty balanced. Traditional and unexpected pasta options as well as a nice selection of rustic, Italian-influenced main dishes. They were also offering six specials last night. Both regular items (bolognese (not pictured) and papperdelle were very satisfying with balanced flavors. The ravioli special was well loved. Wine list offers a lot of great Italian options. Outdoor dining area was charming and made for great people watching. The little biscotti at the end of the meal were crisp and gave another nod to Italian tradition. Very good experience. Would recommend and would return.

Kaitlin D.

Yelp
We had a big group meal here on a set menu. Food was delicious and service was impeccable. I got the burrata appetizer, steak, and cheesecake dessert. All excellent. Definitely will return when we're back in town.

Miriam I.

Yelp
2.5 The host was very helpful and accommodating for our large group of 8. The food was incredibly mid. Like very mediocre Italian food. Our waiter was also very rude. Didn't make eye contact when we asked questions even. The appetizers were okay but nothing stood out. Same with the entrees. Nothing to write home about. Would not come back.

Stuart G.

Yelp
Cozy classic village northern italian with good food and excellent service. Good lobster bisque, and meatballs, decent bread to start, very good pastas after - carbonara, and veal spinach ravioli in cream sauce with ham. Reliable basics - bolognese, for example. Creative cocktails, good wine selection. A comfortable experience, worth the price.

Valerie T.

Yelp
The pappardelle is terrific! The truffle oil made the dish. To drink I had a watermelon aperol and maybe vodka drink? I'm not an aperol fan but this was great and refreshing. The service was slow but it was a Saturday night so it was busy. I ordered tea after dinner and my server got it wrong but it wasn't a big deal. It was nice sitting outside while the weather is cool.

Matt B.

Yelp
Noticed this place on a whim while searching for a place to eat in the area. The photos of the outside and inside of the restaurant caught my eye and figured it would be a cute spot for my girlfriends birthday, and the good reviews helped but I didn't dig too much into them. My expectations weren't very high, expecting average Italian food for way too much money but it would be a good dinner for a special occasion, boy was I wrong and glad for it. The service was excellent, our waiters were attentive but not intrusive, the fresh homemade focaccia was served on the house with olive oil and it was fantastic, so good we got another when offered! The veal meatballs were melt in your mouth, the pasta carbonara was easily some of if not the best I have ever had, and we topped everything off with crème brulee and delicious affogato. Two apps two desserts two entrees and a glass of wine in Manhattan for $150+tip cannot beat it for the quality of food and service and ambience this place provides. Will definitely be coming back.

Kev V.

Yelp
Had a 8:15 pm reservation for two and was seated late at 8:40 pm. I saw a party of two who came in 3-5 minutes prior to us being seated, be seated ahead of us. Multiple groups who came in after us called ahead of us. First time I've ever seen this in any restaurant. No apologies offered & no acknowledgement. Chose this place over Olio E Piu which is my go to in the area cause we wanted to try a new spot, definitely regretted it! Right when we were about to leave they finally called us, so we decided to bite the bullet in hopes the food would make up for it. Pasta was decent but nowhere near good enough to justify the experience, won't be back.

Kyna V.

Yelp
I had a big party and none of us liked our food. Everything was blande and expensive. Their service was amazing however and this place has such a cute italian vibe.

Joseph H.

Yelp
Came here twice and both times were amazing!! We each had a pasta dish and shared a steak. The servers were very attentive and would help us remove plates when we were finished as the table is kind of small. We had the grilled octopus as well but forgot to take pics of that. It was just that good! I would definitely come back if I am craving Italian. Only minor complaint is I think upstairs is an apartment? We heard a lot of loud foot steps during our dinner but that's beyond the restaurant control.

Bill S.

Yelp
Wow! I've been seeing all these wonderful pictures of the fresh pasta entrees at Da Andrea and made a reservation for lunch on Saturday. Parking? Easy peasy, there is a garage across the street that was priced pretty reasonable. Once we walked inside, we entered a romantic and rustic Italian eatery. Viewing the wine list, its a Oenophiles dream with a nice selection of Italian wines. My wife ordered a rosé and I ordered a bold Super Tuscan to get the brunch party started. To start, we ordered the Insalata Di Pera as well as the Campagnola flatbread. The Insalata Di Pera was an Arugula salad topped with Poached Pears, Gorgonzola, Walnuts and a tangy Honey Mustard dressing. The pears were soaked in a warming spice with lots of cinnamon flavor. Next was the Campagnola flatbread. The handmade Mozzarella and sliced Prosciutto e Parma elevated this dish to another level. To me, the mushrooms were an afterthought. Still, another fabulous starter dish. The finisher was the made in house Parpadelle pasta. What made this dish was the Lamb Ragu and Tomato Sauce, very silky and rustic. When you have a fresh pasta dish, I don't like mushy pasta. This was cooked the perfect al dente, not too hard and not stracotto. Da Andrea, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant. *I had the Chelsea restaurant booked and I came here by mistake, I'm old. haha!

Manish B.

Yelp
This place was really good. Came here on a Saturday for brunch because of the good reviews. The food was exceptional. Eggs Benedict with lobster was amazing, linguini with mushrooms were great, good salads. The best part were the drinks. I had a Negroni, it was one of the best I've had in a long time. Was only on planning on drinking one but I had another and the lychee drink was really good as well. Really good bartender. Super nice staff in a rustic elegant space, ambiance was quiet and refined. Definitely coming back here for some nice Italian fare.

Alex M.

Yelp
The server was pushing us to order a "special combo." I'm usually fine with staff recommendations, but the server heavily insisted that we order a limited special that included two small pasta dishes and a large steak. The steak was fine, but the pasta dishes were difficult to split between three people. We were seated outdoors on a warm evening which was nice, but I'm not sure if I will be returning soon.

K P.

Yelp
Yes yes yes. Food, service and ambiance!! Can't recommend enough. Make reservations! You won't be disappointed. I had the spaghetti Bolognese and it was delicious!!!

Simona O.

Yelp
Every time my family and I come to this restaurant we eat so well & are so happy to be here. Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere and service is wonderful! Shout out to Paulina, who was an amazing waitress!

Miguel T.

Yelp
This is a challenge not sure why the super ratings. For me it's a 3.75 overall. PARKING - for the union Square and Greenwich Village area there is at least a garage across the street. OUTSIDE - very attractive with flowers all around. Plus they have the outdoor pill boxes for additional seating. Three parking spots gone as a result - Boo Hoo ENTRANCE - there is an arrival stand outside with a very polite host. They quickly check your reservation and you are all set. DECOR - another plus as it is quite quaint and romantic. Dim lighting but not dark for those trust noir types. The all wood floors are a nice complement to the overall atmosphere There are quite a few tables inside all elegantly set up. But no table cloths which would be a great topper. WAITRESS - she was phenomenal in terms of attentiveness and assisting with orders. BUS SERVICE - another high point. Never an empty glass or finished plate. All done with a smile RESTROOMS - clean which is great. However if they were any smaller I'd call them outhouses. By the way there are two and unisex. So you could have a wait at rush hour. MENU - kind of limited with a few specials to choose from. BREAD - very fresh and tasty. The oil was flavored but just OK APPETIZERS - mixed reviews here. The meatballs were not good at all very bready and the sauce was blah. ENTREES - I had the Red Snapper special which was very good. Crispy skin and cooked to perfection VINO - gave my liver a day off so you'll have to get back to me DESSERT - had the cheese cake which was good but kind of on the sweet side PORTION SIZES - for the prices they were on the smaller size but ok I guess. PRICES - pretty expensive the tab for 3 with no drinks and a good tip was $325

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
Amazing food! I got the pasta special with shrimp and it was divine. The bread was soft and fresh. My friend got the spinach ravioli and she said it was very rich and delicious. They gave us a complimentary dessert. Will definitely be back here again soon.

Kris P.

Yelp
You can smell the fresh ingredients from the moment you walk in! Seating area is a pretty tight fit throughout. Service was pretty good and speedy, so speedy that I almost felt rushed. I had a butternut squash soup and also a pesto salmon pasta!!! 10/10 I recommend

Vin D.

Yelp
Wow why can't we pack this place up and bring it back home the seafood was the best I've ever had my coworkers also loved their dishes I'd never try octopus but Matt said it was amazing the bread with olives was a great start such a great lunch

Apolonia E.

Yelp
Da Andrea is a truly beautiful restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. The food was outstanding, beginning with the delightful Polpettine di Vitello, which set the tone for the evening. The service was attentive and professional. I ordered the Scaloppine di Pollo, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. My cousin opted for the Ravioli di Vitello, and while the flavors were initially quite light, they became perfect with the addition of some cheese. Our server, Sasa, was amazing ! He was friendly, engaging, and made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Da Andrea. Truly a little piece of Italy in Greenwich Village, I had an amazing time here.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Ah! I keep coming to this lovely place. As usual, the place is packed on a Saturday night but also as usual, the great service and warm welcome from the staff made me feel at home. Our server tonight, Sasha, was such a delight to talk to! His candid personality and attentiveness def made the night a pleasant one. The tuna tartare was delicious, and both our pastas were flavorful. I was undecided between the apple pie and the chocolate tart for dessert, and I'm sure they are both great, but the chocolate tarte really "takes the cake" (pun intended) Since it was a Saturday night there were big groups- so it would get a little loud for a few minutes and then back to normal/silence ...I would request a table in the back next time but since we came a little late (and again) on a Saturday night, the place was bound to be a little louder than usual. All in all GREAT!!! Thanks Shasha! Thanks Da Andrea

Li F.

Yelp
Wow!! Phenomenal homemade pastas! Each dish was so delicious. Nothing like fresh pasta. Cozy atmosphere & good service. Fabulous cocktails. Can't wait to return.

Tim O.

Yelp
The high average rating is unfounded. This is a neighborhood Italian restaurant. If you want to scrape $30 per pasta dish at a neighborhood Italian restaurant and you've grown tired of Alice and Sotto 13 one block away, have at it. The carbonara was outrageously creamy while managing to be bland. They used bacon instead of an authentic cured meat. Not really "Italian to the core." Nowhere in the realm of worth it for $26. Everything else was fine. Plating, pasta overcooking, and dish construction suggests a lot more American influence than anyone wants to admit The fact that the description on a 3rd-party site calls this a "budget" spot is misleading and I don't recommend this spot be added to any short lists.

Julian C.

Yelp
An exceptional dining experience from start to finish! The service was incredibly professional and efficient, with staff that were both attentive and friendly. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a memorable meal. I opted for the steak, and it was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The hostess went out of her way to accommodate us, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, a fantastic experience with top-notch food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment!

Yelp
Restaurant was tiny, as most NYC restaurants. So small table, loud inside. I would have enjoyed a quieter dinner, but that's what happens when the place is good and small. They did have outdoor seating as well. Food was amazing! The beet salad was unique and so good! Pasta dish was amazing and they add chicken as per our request. The chicken was fresh! Wasn't like a preheated chicken that was thrown in (as most other places) Chicken dish was so flavorful, moist, and the perfect amount. It was Cornish hen and was a great dish! The potatoes were cooked to perfection. Would def go back again, only thing for the 4 stars was that the place was loud and also pricing! The Cornish hen was only a few dollars more than the pasta dish, so didn't make sense for the pasta to be almost equally as high priced as the chicken dish!

Yelp
came spontaneously with a friend for dinner on a tuesday and we were able to be seated easily plus theyre dog friendly with outside seating. they were sooo kind to the dog constantly bringing water and checking in which loved the starter bread was delicious we ate it up! we each got a doff pasta - i got the squid ink which was shockingly reasonably priced. not all of the clams had the inside which was disappointing but a lot of lose parts were in the pasta itself which made up for it. portion was decently generous. my only con here is the prices are quite high. otherwise i thought it was solid, italian is never my fav but id recommend

Yelp
Da Andrea offers excellent food with a great selection of dishes combined with very friendly and attentive service. Portions aren't overly big, so ordering several courses is best if you're very hungry. Cocktails ver very expensive, even for Manhattan prices - better order some wine. Particularly loved the complementary zabaione and biscotti.

Yelp
Have eaten here many times not sure why I didn't review them. Cozy never disappoints. Great service, cozy ambiance. Nice place to go with a date. I had salmon my date had pasta and we shared appetizers. Always welcoming.
