Went to Da Edorado last night. We sat on the patio and it was very relaxing! We had Abe as our waiter and he was great. We got the calamari as our app and unfortunately we had to send it back due to it sitting in a pool of oil. We received a new one, and this one had way too much batter. If you look at our plates and in the bowl, you’ll see all the batter we had to take off. Abe was very accommodating and took it away because he saw we were not happy. My friend got a dirty martini (the description says olive juice and blue cheese olives) and it came out with just Hendricks. Was a little confused by that but we sent it back and got a new one! I got the house salad with chicken and she got the chicken Marsala - both were great. We were there for 3 hours so definitely longer than we’d like - our dinner took quite a bit to come out. I probably won’t be back but I appreciate Abe being very accommodating.

My food was just ok. They dont have many options when its comes to vegetables and starch. I guess it's one vegetable of the day and one starch. I got a medium well steak that came out medium rare. When I sent it back it came out burnt. Only 3 little potatoes and 2 stalks of asparagus. The salad was shameful. The drink was very. Good. Not enough food for the price. It wasn't bad. I'll just never go back. The server was ok. I had to ask other people to go get.

Google
The food at Da Edoardo reminded me of the Italian sauces that I tried in my country before. Very fresh salads. All delicious! 👌 The staff at this restaurant is extremely friendly. The place has a lot of style. We went to dinner after my son's graduation. And it was truly perfect! Excellent experience that we will definitely repeat💯

Google
Celebrated my 50th Birthday here. Private room, great decor and food. I should have taken more pics of the food but I was in the moment. I ordered Meatballs and Bruschetta for the tables, which are a must have. Yummy! First time visitor and I was not dissapointed. I took a risk and it was worth it. Bartender was great as well as the waitstaff. If you want to really treat yourself to a upscale experience definitely try them out. I look forward to going back.

Google
I just finished up my 18th birthday dinner here with my family. Our server, Mackenzie, was absolutely wonderful, as was the food. The food was reasonably priced and the restaurant was beautiful.

Google
Waitress Lisa was so accommodating and real! Loved her! Couldn’t have had a better first date experience ! She made it really easy to be ourselves! I would ask for her again !!!

Google
One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to. We started off with the charbroiled hanger steak which had a wonderful crunch and cooked to perfection. I had the Penne Da Edoardo and my wife had the Veal Marsala. Everything was excellent and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice night out.

Google
Outstanding food with even better service. We sat in the bar area and were blessed to have Isabell as our server while she was also bartending. I took my 97 year old Father for Father’s Day and she handled him perfectly. The excellent food was a bonus. I’ve been in the restaurant business for 50+ years and I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Yelp
mackenzie was great, very attentive it was a pleasurable experience The food was very tasty we will definitely be back

Yelp
The service was 5 stars all around! Friendly and accommodating....then came the food. My husband got a pasta dish with sausage in a spicy cream sauce. I tried a bite and would give it a 4. The pizza was oddly bland. Since that didn't hit right, we opted for a chocolate martini and tiramisu. The drink tasted watered down even though there was no ice and the tiramisu was lacking sugar, maybe? The outdoor seating was beautiful, not sure if we will be back.

Yelp
The is is the spot for some great Italian food. White tablecloth and dark wood create a wonderful ambience. Service was quick and friendly. Dishes had healthy portions. Drinks from menu were good- however didn't know another drink we attempted to order. Very nice evening out!

Yelp
Surprisingly delicious! While on way to another Italian restaurant in the area, I must've read the directions incorrectly. While I thought I was going to a different Italian restaurant that is on the same side of the street and within close proximity to Da Edoardo, I shut my GPS off and parked without looking at the name of the place and I'm glad I did. There is paid street parking available for guests. I waited about 15 - minutes for a parking space to open and ended up paying the meter a few dollars. While inside, the interior is dark, romantic, and very authentic. There was a live jazz band playing inside of the bar area which to my surprise was lovely. I didn't have a reservation but was quickly seated outside on the patio. For the temperature being as hot as it was, it was very breezy and cool out on the patio. The waitress was very polite and attentive. I ordered Tagliatelle alla Bolognese with Gluten Free pasta, a house salad, and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The food was awesome! The glass of wine was very yummy. What I loved about this place was the atmosphere. I absolutely loved the outdoor dining area and felt extremely relaxed. With plenty of outdoor seating and large brown patio umbrellas that shielded the hot sun. With light house music plying in the background and outdoor lights throughout. The outdoor area was beautiful. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and look forward to coming back again, soon.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere, food, & service. All of our meals were exceptional. Will definitley be back!

Yelp
In my opinion, it is the heart of Grosse Pointe. Quiet, upscale, and relaxed. The food and the cocktails are up to snuff! A great place to relax, unwind, and enjoy great company.

Yelp
The Bistecca alla Fiorentina at DaEdoardo's Restaurant is a true culinary masterpiece. This 44oz Creekstone Farms Prime Porterhouse is accompanied by a generous selection of salad, soup, pasta, potatoes, and vegetables - enough to feed a family of four. The chef expertly seasons and sears the steak to perfection, creating a mouthwatering experience. My 10-year-old son and I shared this delectable feast cooked to a medium-rare perfection, and it truly stands out as one of the best steaks we've ever had. Both the strip side and the filet side offer exceptional flavors. The chef thoughtfully slices the bone for sharing, leaving us with plenty leftover for a delightful second meal. I highly recommend this exceptional entree, available only on Fridays and Saturdays.

Yelp
The ambiance was so nice. Especially the Christmas decor. Our server was friendly. I got the chicken piccata and the portion size and taste were amazing. My sister got gnocchi and her portion size looked like an appetizer. My mother did get stuffed shells and her portion size was also very small. They are both small people so they did fill up but not sure how a grown man would fill up on those portions. All the food was delicious.

Barbara Y.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant. Their calamari is the best in town. My favorite entree is the Chilean Sea Bass. They have live entertainment every Friday night The servers are very attentive. The atmosphere is nice, it feels clubby in a great way!

Bb Q.

Yelp
Wonderful service--delicious food, classic ambiance. My elderly parents just loved it. Felt very old-school Grosse pointe in a good way

Dee K.

Yelp
We came for our anniversary yesterday. The seating was not great. Did not want to be in the bar area, but they would not seat us in the main dining area as requested in my reservation. Not a fan of everyone walking past my table, nor drafts in cold weather. Our waitress was very attentive. She remained so regardless of increasing customers. I had the steak Diane, ordered medium. It was as served medium well. However it was tender and tasted very good. No need for additional seasoning. My husband had the veal scallopine which he enjoyed. It was fairly enjoyable, but should be better at this price point. Not a wow. The most disappointing thing was dessert. I don't usually order a dessert course, but it was a special occasion. On the menus they list chocolate soufflé. What they served was a chocolate lava cake. Again it was good for a lava cake, but nothing special. A true soufflé would have been. Just list lava cake if that's what you're serving. I would not have ordered this.

Cassidy G.

Yelp
The interior was beautiful. Loved the cheetah carpet and dark ambiance. Food and wine were delicious. Service was excellent.

Gianna G.

Yelp
We were just at the bar but it just was lovely. Great service and wonderful cocktails. And I had a delicious bowl of minestrone soup with hot crispy bread! can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Dinner, once again, was FANTASTIC!!! Da Eduardo's staff always knows how to make their customers feel right at home.

Mark S.

Yelp
Dined at Da Eduardo for the first time Saturday, February 24, 2024. First, the service was great. Which was nice because the dining room needs a serious overhaul. Many of the tables for two diners are way too small. Music is also too loud. Diners want to enjoy conversations with their party not compete with loud music. The food was good. Not great. No WOW factor. I had a pasta dish. The pasta appeared to be your typical boxed pasta. This, of course, is an insult to customers. There are plenty of mediocre Italian restaurants serving boxed pasta. Considering Da Eduardo is more upscale, fresh made pasta should be standard. The restaurant needs to update the dining room, simplify the menu with homemade pasta, fresher ingredients with a more upbeat, vibrant atmosphere. Diners no longer need to be transported back to the 70s when entering the establishment. Once and done. Da Eduardo's is off my frequent list.

Mike O.

Yelp
Ordered carry out and had a horrible experience. Ann, the hostess, could not be more rude and uncaring. One of our two pasta dishes came with no sauce and the response we received was that this is typically a summer dish and not on the current menu (despite being online). The photo shown was a $25 pasta dish. The other pasta dish was a chicken Alfredo and the Alfredo sauce was the worst I have ever had. We will not be going back or ordering from Da Eduardo again. Much better options in the area.

Heather L.

Yelp
Easily the best Italian food I have ever had! The food is great, the ambiance is wonderful, and the service is spectacular! We will be back

Morgan B.

Yelp
I'd like to start off by first saying our server was amazing. She completely salvaged the night. I don't remember her name but she was fantastic. The food was also amazing and our server was so attentive and brought it out at the perfect time. However, when I made the reservation I explicitly requested an easy-to-reach, accommodating table as our party of 4 included someone in a large wheelchair. I was assured that would be fine. When we got there, the hostess led us to pretty much the worst possible spot in front of a door to another eating are that my boyfriend would completely block with his chair. Also, no one stuck around to help in case we wanted a chair removed. I was trying to see if I could make it work but there was no possible way. We then asked someone for another table and pointed out one that would be perfect, but we were told that someone reserved that. They asked if we could be put at another table, and we said sure that one looks okay too. We get to the other table and a woman I assume was from management came after we already were sat and settled and said that we were going to have to move our tables down to make room for other people. No apologizing, or asking if we were comfortable. It was a very uncomfortable and upsetting experience. My boyfriend hates being looked at as a complete inconvenience but that's how he felt, it was really a bummer. We've been to much more accommodating restaurants and even smaller establishments that have made room and gone out of their way to make sure we're comfortable. Thank goodness for our server and the delicious food or it would have been a worse experience.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
We made a same day reservation and sat in the bar area. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was great and Jamie our waiter was very helpful with ordering. The prices are high but not too far above other similar Italian restaurants. We will be back for a special occasion, night out.

Savannah B.

Yelp
Came here today for the first time. My five year anniversary. We were greeted by a very dimly lit restaurant, my reservation was at 6pm and I was sat immediately. Each dining room seemed very small and compacted, with mirrors on the walls to make it seem larger. Seating was comfortable & we had water and bread for the table. Our server was nice but seemed a bit shy, she was very attentive to our needs though. We both tried the barberry martini which was very potent and rather large, but delicious. We tried the calamari for our appetizer because everyone seemed to be raving about it, they didn't lie.. it was so tasty. I got the seafood linguine & my partner tried their hanger steak. The pasta came in a nice clam sauce with mussels and HUGE shrimp, the biggest shrimp I've ever eaten. Such a flavorful dish, truly. Hanger steak came medium rare with zip sauce which was an excellent touch and elevated the steaks flavor. Overall two really good dinners. This was a nice place for dinner and if you're interested in a upscale Italian place, this is for you. I would come back.

Sandra P.

Yelp
I love the food. The seating accommodations aren't exactly the best. It's like having dinner with strangers, However, the food is top quality, and it is served with a smile.

Tommy S.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday with my family and had a great time. The food is amazing and the staff was great. Will be coming back again

Rob S.

Yelp
The lasagna bolognese may have been the best I've ever had. It was outstanding. Chicken Marsala was good too.

Angela G.

Yelp
We always enjoy the 2 dinners and a bottle of wine for $70 special! Sit at the bar, the bartender is great. You might even catch the live music - from Al Green to Elton John, something for every one! Snap your fingers while slurping spaghetti and have a good time in this beautiful space.

Marisa C.

Yelp
Tonight was my first time at Da Eduardo's and the food was absolutely delicious! Great portions (as an Italian restaurant should have). I started with the Peachtini as my drink and it was delicious! My husband and I and our good friend ordered the calamari arrabiata and tortellini "Marcella Hazam" for appetizers-the calamari were prepared perfectly and the tortellini was light and fresh. The minestrone soup was spot on and the steak Diane was out of this world (all our filets were cooked to perfection). Janice was our server-she was very kind and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and I couldn't find a speck of dust on any of the light fixtures or mirrors! I think I have found my new favorite restaurant! I can't wait to return!

Vanessa W.

Yelp
My Lamb shank over mushroom rissoto was a great disappontment! The entire dish was severly under-seasoned. Lamb shank was very gamey & too tough to eat, even after cutting it into bite size pieces with a sharp knife. Rissoto lacked salt, on top of tasting water logged. Salad was basic. The Service was mediocre & slow. BUCCI Resturante is much better choice, in my opinion! They are located right down the street, on Mack Ave. Their [Bucci] SERVICE is 2nd to None. Food is always Excellent & consistant. The Atmosphere is Romantic, yet comfy-casual. Very Clean Bathrooms [extremely important]. Open Kitchen from Bar. Safe location. Decent parking. Yeah, so.... ‍‍

Yelp
Scrolling through the Yelp page, I'm confused by such mixed reviews! I've been here twice now with my mother. Both times I've enjoyed my experiences. Da Edoardo has a fancy, classic Italian restaurant feel to it. The atmosphere would be perfect for a date night/special dinner. We loved the music too, lots of Sinatra! However, the two times I've gone it was on a week day and we sat in the bar area. The wine selection is excellent (and half-off bottles on Tuesdays!). We had good service from our bartenders. Attentive and kind. As far as the food goes, the bone-in ribeye was excellent. For ~$45 you really get a good portion, and cooked just how we requested. I was not a fan of the calamari. It was very chewy and the sauce was thick and creamy. Just a few bites makes you feel uncomfortable full. I would return when I'm in the area, although it is a bit pricy.

Bina J.

Yelp
We went back for Valentines date. Janice was amazing! She was so sweet and really funny! We enjoyed our experience once again. The steak and spicy calamari were so yummy!

Tiffany M.

Yelp
When friends from Chicago used to come into town this was our go to spot. We always had a larger group and they always made room, accommodated us, and treated us like royalty... They have been in business since 1978. The Barbieri family are the owners and they do not disappoint. The decor sets you back where you feel like your in a luxurious Italian restaurant like something out of the godfather or Sopranos... So here is my typical order from here. Inhave tried almost everything on the menu so take my advice, this is where the actions at... Wine- Venteo Amaroni della Valpolicella Speri i usually shar a bottle and it last the whole dinner between 3 people. By the glass my favorite is Lauren Perrier Brut N.V or Nappa, Robusto, Celani Family Vineyards... Starters- Calamari Trifolati, Chargrilled Steak with zip sauce... Salad...- Its a Italian restaurant so Ceaser of course! Soup- Minestrone... Entrées worthy of my liking- Steak Diane "Elegante", Chilean Sea Bass Livornese, Gambroni Portofino, and my favorite pasta dish is their Fettuccine Gabriella. If your on a budget I recommend the "Dinner for 2 with a Bottle of wine for 48.95. You each get to pick one out of 5 entrées Desserts vary... but order a coffee... at least I do after every meal. It pairs nicely with your last dish. Expect to dress accordingly. Don't look like a bum and ruin the ambience for the rest of us... also my bill usually is expensive because when I come here I have high expectations and you will be catered to. So please don't be that person who tips hardly anything. Your paying for a experience... don't be a cheap skate! Top 5 restaurants in metro Detroit in my book!!! Enjoy.

Daryl O.

Yelp
Da Edoardo fell a little short of expectations. The staff was friendly but the food just wasn't that spectacular. For the price points I expected far better. They did great with safety protocols but things were really slow in coming and the food was mediocre. We did enjoy the ambiance.

Allison S.

Yelp
I love this place. Makes me feel like I'm on a vacation somewhere. I come here and relax. I always get Tortellini "Marcella Hazan" . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 19.95 Chicken and veal stuffed pasta tossed with light cream, prosciutto & peas with red wine. Its wonderful. The salad and bread is a plus. For dessert we get the carrot cake or the homemade lady finger dessert.

Angelynn J.

Yelp
The food here was amazing! I loved everything about this place. The restaurant was so beautiful inside. Everyone was so very nice, and helpful. They even have really good cocktails too. If you love Italian food you have to try this place.

tomico J.

Yelp
I finally made it here after living in the area for awhile. I must say I was completely satisfied with the service and the food. Shout out to the waitress Loretta for making our evening great! We started out with the shrimp scampi and the sausages, they were both excellent. The Italian dressing on our salads was so good. I will go back just for the salad and bread.. okay so we shared our dinner and I was pleasantly surprised when we had two plates with a nice amount of food to share.. The only thing I wasn't satisfied with were my drinks, they were too bitter as I thought they would be sweeter. My husband enjoyed his drink. Next time I'm having wine. Overall, the atmosphere is great for any occasion and this place did deliver with great customer service and excellent food!!! I can't wait to sit out on the patio this summer!

M P.

Yelp
Came here for an early Mother's Day dinner. Family connection to the owners from a relative growing up with them. Anyways we came expecting an excellent Italian dinner and we got just that. It was crowded when we arrived but got less so as the evening went on which was a little bit of a surprise for a Saturday evening. We were seated in the back kind of in a cubby hole. All of our meals were pretty tasty. Gnocchi was a little soft. The chicken and veal tortellini was off the charts excellent.

Nicole E.

Yelp
This is and has always been an iconic Italian fine dining in GP. This is where all the highschool students took their dates before a prom, homecoming or whatever significant dance at school. The food is all good. I am happy to know that this place has stood the test of time.

Teresa E.

Yelp
We went here for Easter Brunch today. It was so below par that I left here feeling ripped off. The menu was okay for a low brow diner breakfast/brunch spot, which it is not! The food was lacking and at a high price tag. Half of our table of 10 had their food come out cold. It was also all served at different times.. I'm talking 5-10 minutes apart for different dishes ensuring all had cold food by the time we ate. I can't speak for their normal service, but judging on this lackluster display at an attempt of a holiday lunch I would NOT recommend.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
While the Grosse Pointes lag behind in the food scene generally you can always get pretty good Italian food in these parts. Da Eduardo is a neighborhood favorite. Their patio is a major draw in summer and over all the food is pretty good. It's just shy of expensive but you get a lot for your $$$. This working mom loves their grab-and-go special. $34 for a large penne pasta with Neapolitan sauce or meat, salad with delicious green goddess dressing, baguette, and minestrone. Feeds for 4-6.

Jocelyn D.

Yelp
Repeat visit and we had a wonderful meal. Service was fantastic selections were great atmosphere is just OK They do have happy hour during the week and that has a wonderful selection also I will return

Nancy K.

Yelp
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We were trying to find a place and we haven't been here in quite a while. We're were so happy we chose to come here. My husband had the Steak Diane which he said was the best ever. I asked if they could do a veal parmigiana and they made my request come true. It was fabulous. This restaurant never disappoints. The service by Jamie was excellent. The food outstanding. Who could ask for more?

Emily P.

Yelp
Five stars all around!! Clean, friendly, romantic atmosphere and our meals were beyond delicious! We sat at the bar, Dianna served us, she was so helpful and professional we left with her schedule! We will become regulars and look forward to visiting her again

Nicole S.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal filet and lamb chops. My husband and I were extremely impressed and this haas become one of my favorite go to restaurants for a nice evening out. Spicy Calamari is hands down the best and don't even think twice, you have to order it! The only reason I'm rating it is a 4 and 5 is based on the prices being on the higher end in comparison to similar like restaurants.

Dominic B.

Yelp
Well... Where do I start. I'll try to keep this short. I rarely do reviews but this earned it. CONS: 1. Called on December 28th for a reservation for NYE 2018. We were given reservation at 745 pm. When we arrived, our reservation was not found. Luckily they had a booth available near the bar. 2. On New years Eve they had a "special menu." Upon review of google search the next day, the only special thing about it was the 50% price increase on almost all the dishes. my veal saltimbocca was 48$ compared to a usual 34.95. My girlfriends cannelloni was normally 22.95, however was now $38. 3. Sat near the bar which is no problem, however, it was a little off-putting to repeatedly hear the bartender dropping F-bombs to the other wait staff. Now I am no saint, I routinely use colorful language, just not when I am experiencing what is supposed to be fine dining. 4. My veal saltimbocca... my favorite Italian dish. A classic Roman dish so simple and elegant and tasty. It was completely destroyed by what tasted like cream of mushroom that drowned the entire veal portion of the dish. The description says it is served with fresh mushrooms. It says nothing about a creamy mushroom sauce. And why would you hide the wonderful flavors of veal and prosciutto with a mushroom cream sauce?! PROS: 1. Escargot was a pleasant appetizer 2. Our waitress was very attentive and polite, but lacking the professionalism to call this place "Fine Dining." 3. Tiramisu was acceptable 4. General ambience of the restaurant was nice BOTTOM LINE: 1. Extraordinarily overpriced 2. Far from authentic Italian food 3. Food was only barely acceptable for an Italian restaurant. I've had much better at a Carrabas or equivalent. Salvatore Scallopini is right down the street and you'll have a much better experience if you want to support local 4. Friendly waitstaff but not trained in fine dining 5. Average wine list

Carey C.

Yelp
The quality of service and food DOES NOT match the price you pay. We had a gift certificate to this joint. After checking the website out, we figured "this must be a fancy place", so we saved it for a special occasion. D I S A P P O I N T M E N T. If I'm going to pay $30 and up for an entree, the food better be amazing, plated exquisitely, and most importantly be HOT or COLD when served. My food came out, and everything on the plate was warm-ish (steak & green beans). The place was dead for a Friday night (and all the supposed people who love this place -where were they?) so there was no reason my food, or any other of my parties food should be anything but HOT or COLD when it is served to us. Our waiter had 3 other tables, which were all on after dinner drinks by the time we decided to order. I still had to ask him every time to refill my water, please. The best thing about the meal was the salad. The spicy calamari is not amazing like others wrote about. It was chewy and in a very rich butter sauce. I can't believe that is what they are known for?! Stick with pasta if you do decide to eat at this joint, the lasagna was good (which is where the only star came from). I don't advise eating here though. This place is not worth $$$, the ambiance is the only part that lived up to the menu prices, but the food and service is $ at best. These people that rave about this place must get drunk at happy hour before sitting down for dinner. Also, I'm suspicious of these 5-star reviews with no specifics, and wording from other websites. Please read the unbiased, but unrecommended reviews near the bottom (click on see more reviews). They have been flagged because they used a website address in their review, and it's seen as promotional. These seem to me like legit reviews compared to all the 5-star, vague ones. 2 thumbs down with big ole frown :(

Jonas L.

Yelp
Best calamari around, could have a larger menu. It hasn't changed much over the years. Needs something new.

Ashley S.

Yelp
I'll start off by saying DO NOT waste your time, energy or money on this place! Go down the road and eat at Salvatore Scallopini's. My boyfriend and I came here expecting to have a nice dinner, instead what we got was complete disrespect from the entire staff who belittled us and made us feel unwelcome. We came in and stood by the door for a good 10 minutes while 4 of the wait staff walked by several times and stood across the room staring at us. Finally the bartender reluctantly looked up and starkly remarked with "Is there something I can help you with?". We asked for a table for 2, she pointed at a women who had been standing next to us since we entered the restaurant and said, she's the hostess and proceeded to roll her eyes as she flagged over one of the waitstaff who had been staring at us to help seat us in the restaurant who only had 3 other patrons in it. The waiter who sat us did not acknowledge our presence, never said your welcome or asked if he could get us anything. After this we decided to leave the the poorly cleaned establishment which smelled of rotten fish. We then went down the street and had an amazing meal with fantastic service at Salvatore Scallopini's. To top it off, we later called the manager of Da Edoardo's to express how upset we were for the lack of service we received to which she said nothing! Absolutely no care at all. Needless to say, I will never be coming back to this restaurant nor will I ever recommend it to anyone! STEER CLEAR!

Alexander Z.

Yelp
I had not been to this restaurant since the 1990s. I am not kidding! Back then it was always a special occasion place. I walked in and thought, wow, this place is Old School Grosse Pointe for sure, but there was actually something really nice and refreshing about that. A huge menu filled with so many amazing items it was tough to choose. I want to go back now because I want to get my second choice! The staff was great. They had wonderful manners. No attitude. They were there to make sure everything was perfect and how you wanted it. The bread basket was refilled when it was empty. Water glasses were always full as well. The place was also full of people. With all the new hip trendy places opening up with celebrity chef's in downtown Detroit, it was so nice to go to this local place, see it packed after years of being in business, and have a fantastic meal and great service! No complaints, not a one! Lovely meal, can't wait for an occasion to return!

Yelp
Best super fresh green salad, best salad dressing ever. My favorite minestrone it's so creamy and home made. The salmon w lobster sauce is out of this world, best chicken Marsala too. Never anything but top ingredients and preparation here.

Yelp
I wanted so much more than what I got. After being put in a tiny 2 seat corner table (in an almost entirely empty restaurant on a Friday night), my boyfriend and I continued to wait for 15 minutes before a waitress decided that we were important enough to come over and ask if we wanted to order something to drink. And trust me, there were 7 other wait staff that were glared at before one of them thought it was wise to come over- 6 of which were not our waitress but were in the vicinity of our table and mulling around, clearly not trying to put the customer first. Our drinks arrived about 20 minutes after that (not sure how hard it is to pour 2 glasses of wine, but apparently hard enough that it takes 20 minutes)- along with our appetizer. At this point I was hoping that things would pick up. Our waitress took our order and we began to eat. Roughly 25 minutes later (and yes... I was keeping track on my watch) our waitress arrived and said to me "What can I get you?" I responded "For what?" and she said "For dinner." Dumbfounded, I said to her, "We already ordered dinner like 20 minutes ago" and her eyes got wide. She opened her file, shifted through a few receipts and said "Oh my, let me get this in right now. I was dealing with this other lady in the other room..." and she turned and left. I was sure my boyfriend was going to suggest we just walk out- but after waiting for food, I was starving. Dinner arrived about 20 minutes later (we're easily a hour and 15 minutes into our "not-so-great" dining experience). Do you know what happens to gnocchi when you cook it too long? It turns into gummy potato paste in your mouth. Do you know what I ordered? The gnocchi. *facepalm* How does an upscale Italian restaurant overcook their food- ESPECIALLY, after we have now waited over an hour to actually eat?! My boyfriend's dish (linguine in clam sauce with mussels) wasn't any better- the mussels weren't cleaned properly and the pasta was overcooked. Add on another 20-25 minutes of us not eating, looking for our non-existent waitress; 10 minutes to get espresso (hoping to wake ourselves up because we had been there so long)- which was brought with no "additives" like sugar or anything; and an additional 15-20 minutes to track down the waitress again to get ad pay the bill.... and you've got an over 2 hour long insanely terrible dining experience. There were no "sorry about this" or "let me comp some of this because of your wait" or "let me send the manager over to apologize for your wretched evening"... terrible service, terrible food, and a terrible night in general. In the words of my father, I have been to this restaurant 2 times- my first and last.

Yelp
I've actually experienced better at this resturant before. My previous visit about 9 months ago was so much better. This time the food lacked the class and flavor one would expect at an upscale restaurant (and at those prices). The food was not prepared with the same skill or presentation. To me it seemed they either lost their chef or perhaps are using different vendors. I know Covid has thrown a wrench into things and the menu seemed modified but I felt the quality has slipped

Yelp
I've been here multiple times with family and we always have a great experience! The calamari is a must whenever we go. I usually order bourbon when I go out to dinner and their pours are always top notch. In the warm months, their patio adds nicely to the dining experience. The inside is classy and the music volume is perfect because you can enjoy it but not have to shout. Always check their specials, but everything on the menu we have had, has been wonderful. Don't forget a Spanish coffee to round out your dining experience.
