The food was very delicious and the service was good. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was a quiet environment, easy to have a conversation.

This evening, we relished a delightful dinner at Da Francesco Italian Restaurant. The bread was served with an enticing side of broccoli spread. The sweet and sour calamari, despite its unexpected spiciness not mentioned on the menu, tantalized our taste buds with bold flavors. The standout of our meal was the Cartoccio De Branzino, expertly cooked in the oven with a vegetable wrap enclosed in paper, surpassing our expectations with its exquisite taste. We were graciously treated to dessert, which proved to be exceptional. The waitresses stood out for their remarkable helpfulness, accommodation, and kindness throughout our dining experience. Despite the restaurant's interior leaning toward a classic Italian ambiance rather than a modern design, the exceptional food quality solidifies its status as a highly recommended dining destination.

Quaint…. It was a Sunday so I assumed it would be a relaxed environment. I read many reviews, mostly good. This was a Groupon gift. So I had my reservations…. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. They were attentive and patient. The establishment was clean and organized and when we ordered our food it came out quick and hot and fresh. Everyone has their tweeks but overall I can’t complain about much. Expect the ice water needed more ice…. They were courteous and attentive! We had the short ribs and they were so tender and falling off the bone. I also have to mention the bartender that made our drinks deserves a 5 star ⭐️ rating alone! Never once have I ever not been able to finish my drink! I had the Manhattan and it was superb! The serving portions were enough to fill us and the prices were actually not to bad, we were full and spirited even after we got home!!

Was served raw chicken and ate several pieces before realizing. Told the waiter and sent back the meal. Never received an apology or at the very least acknowledgment of this. Went to ask for manager contact info and was met with hostility from the “head waiter” Joe. Extremely unfriendly and rude. We werent even asking for the meal to be comped! Just wanted someone to seem like they cared! Really really appalled and disappointed. Hope i dont get sick!!!

Just super delicious. We ordered 8 dishes (lasagna, beef rib, lamb shank, lobster ravioli, pistachio encrusted flounder, calamari & linguininwith clams) We ate everything and wanted more. Will return for sure, fantastic restaurant.

Google
The service was great although the food was hit or miss on some dishes. Calamari was great but the flounder was not very flavorful. The chicken was very good, the penne vodka was nothing special but still good. The tomato gnocchi was well liked. Tiramisu was also nothing special with the crème bulee being not very good!

A little Italian gem tucked away in a quite neighborhood of Williamsburg. A cosy place that's authentically decorated. The service and the staff was incredible and everyone was so attentive. The food overall was delicious with very generous portions. We ordered a bottle of Chianti red wine which we thoroughly enjoyed and can definitely recommend. We had the Burrata for the appetizer which was absolutely superb. For entrees/main course we had one pizza Burrata Prosciutto and one Paccheri pasta which were both unbelievable and I highly recommend them. Overall a phenomenal experience which we highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

Google
I have been to Da Francesco Italian Restaurant on Graham Ave in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY several times. The reason I keep going back, is due to my favorite item on the Menu, Braised Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes. I had read past reviews on that particular meal, and everything I read about it is 100 % True...The Braised Short Ribs is so tender, that the meat slides off the bone. You don't even need a knife to cut it...The meat is so moist and tender and so flavorful...I actually went out on this cold dreary rainy evening, specifically for the Braised Short Ribs and I was not disappointed. I decided to also order two other items, for dinner tomorrow, that I have never had there before. I ordered the Lentil Soup as it was one of the Specials today. When I got home, I took a spoonful of it, to sample it, and it was actually delicious. I am a Veteran of the US Army, and a cooking school grad.....retired from the Port Authority of NY and NJ, worked at the cafeteria in 4 different work sites. I specialized in soups, and food preps, plus working as short order cook on the grill. I know my soups and that lentil soup gets a 10 in my book. I also ordered Chicken Parm with Linguine on the side , and must say that it looks really good. Whenever in Williamsburg , Brooklyn NY, on Graham Ave you should make it a point to check them out. They are open until 10 PM on weekdays and until 11 PM on weekends....By the way the staff is super here, the servers Roberto, Jorge and Javier are so courteous, so polite, attentive to detail, and always focused on their customers and always do a professional job. I met Mr Francesco, the owner of the restaurant and must say he is a down to earth person,so humble and a gentleman.

Yelp
SERVED RAW CHICKEN AND NO ONE ADDRESSED IT, except being defensive when we told them about it. My partner was served raw chicken last night, she ate several pieces before realizing. She told the waiter and sent back the meal. Never received an apology or any acknowledgment of it. Went to ask for the manager's contact info and was met with hostility from the "head waiter" Joe. Extremely unfriendly and rude. We werent even asking for the meal to be comped! Just wanted someone to seem like they cared! Really really appalled and disappointed because we had high hopes for this place.

Yelp
Great food, good staff, love entertainment, and I love the atmosphere! Two timer here!

Yelp
Stopped by on a Saturday night. And it got pretty crowded. There was 1 large group and a small group celebrating birthdays. We used a pulsd deal and ended up paying for anything that wasn't covered, but it was worth it. We were served bread, got meatballs, as a shared appetizer, salmon and lasagna, for our mains and a bottle of red wine. Everything was delicious! I def recommend the meatballs and lasagna. The service was great, as everyone was super nice and accommodating. They even had a guy singing for entertainment , and he'll def get the diners involved.

Luke B.

Yelp
Just simply good food and great atmosphere. My fiancé and I had a lovely dinner here. A bottle of red, braised short rib, mashed potatoes, Demi glacé. Servers were nothing short of exceptional, friendly welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I made a reservation for Mother's Day with a group. The service was non existent and it seemed like the waiters were bothered to help you. The menu was highly overpriced for what was offered. Mediocre food. Edible, but still for the price, you could have a fantastic meal somewhere else. I will try to avoid old Italian restaurants, because they do not care about customers at all. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, where at least you will leave satisfied and full.

Yelp
We came here early on a Thursday. There wasn't much of a crowd which was nice in its own way. The service was fast and very attentive, we were sat and served quickly. The food tasted good and the octopus was cooked very well. Our deal came with a bottle of wine which was a nice touch. There is a slight discount if paying with cash but they do accept most cards.

Yelp
Stopped in with my wife for dinner, Harix took wonderful care of us. Wonderful large mirrors in the dining room.

Yelp
The best Italian restaurant on the other side of Kosciusko Bridge. Chef Cuozzo knows his game above n beyond...FUGGHEDBOUTIT

Yelp
How can Clams ruin a perfect Sunday Lunch? The room is impressive, clean, well appointed with high window light. Service was good. With people speaking Italian I imagined sitting Rome. The food was very good with grilled seafood my favorite. But, tiny Manila Clams were served in both linguini in clam sauce and clams oreganata. They were tasteless and a waste of a chefs talents. Little Necks Please!

Yelp
Went with my husband and son last night and had a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive (not warm/ not cold) but also discrete and unobtrusive. We ordered a variety of dishes to sample the menu. Top highlights were the burrata appetizer, paccieri with shrimp and the margarita pizza. The jumbo shrimp on the paccieri was cooked to perfection. I wish we could order the pizza on Seamless! For dessert we sampled the tiramisu (had an interesting sambuca flavor) and the decadent crème brûlée could win awards. The space is nice and open with reflective mirrors on 3 sides that make it feel even bigger. The one thing I would recommend is removing the TV as it was a distraction to a lovely old school neighborhood vibe. We'll for sure be back.

Yelp
Ambiance is great as I admired the lively vibe with a cozy feeling!! Small restaurant but definitely nice for dinner get together. The came across this restaurant on Groupon and purchased the deal to experience their hospitality. Reservations were required and the host was pretty accommodating even though I happened to be their earlier then I intended to. On a Saturday night around 7pm I was probably expecting the area to be crowded and troublesome for parking. But luckily I found parking the a block away from the restaurant. Me and my brother were greeted by the host and seated at our table. I liked the table setup simple yet nice. Complimentary bread was given to us once seated. We ordered melenzane, for appetizer which was good but ridiculously small in portion. For entree we ordered franceso ravioli and risotto. Now risotto was good but the ravioli was awful. The portion was ridiculously small and it was heavily salted. I don't like excessively salted food. For dessert we ordered hot chocolate and Panna cotta (absolutely delicious but they surely cheated us on the berries and the portion). I even asked our host what happened to the berries can I get some more because we had only 1 but we were never given any!!

Yelp
This place looks tiny from the front and you'd think due to construction near by you would hear it while you eat but we didn't. We sat inside (usually I'm an outdoor gal) and the inside was so beautiful, I'm a sucker for atmosphere, the service was great, they were very friendly, and the food was very yummy! We had a margarita pizza and gnocchi! -P.S. - I forgot to take pics of the food! Lol

Yelp
The vibes, decorations and scenery inside the restaurant is very eye catching and down to earth. I used the pulsd voucher which was for a $84 deal including a dinner for two and a dessert and a bottle of wine. Looks like a great deal but if you are not prepared to spend more then this will be a bad idea. Compared to online, the prices are notable higher in restaurant. Gratuity is also added, you don't get to choose how much. Cute place for date night.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Ate here spontaneously after attempting to get a reservation at a few Michelin star restaurants, and met wit failure. The service was OK, we were the only people there since it was 500 on a Wednesday- the food was tasty. Probably the best calamari I've had so far. Authentic Italian food, with a good atmosphere in an Italian neighborhood (Williamsburg).

Lisa Q.

Yelp
Dinner was going great, service was nice until a RAT ran across my friend and I's foot. Nothing else to say.

Ron K.

Yelp
The food was good. The ambience was ruined by two people sitting in the corner, laughing out very loudly and speaking in crude language and profanity, includih the usengthe usage of the ofF words. I mentioned to one of the workers how they would allow such behavior to happen. I told the worker I didn't appreciate such crude language in front of my wife and son. No wonder hardly a soul patronized this restaurant. I'll never to return.

Yelp
Ahh little taste of Italy in Williamsburg. Came out for an anniversary dinner. We were a pretty early reservation as we like to be in bed by 8 (kidding. But am I?). Anyway we chose to be seated outside as their set up is so beautiful. They don't have heaters yet but it was not necessary. With the lights strung very romantic. Service is very friendly and they have sanitizer if you need it. We went with the house red wine which was quite potent. Not the most bougie wine I've had but it did the trick. After two glasses I was feeling as happy as a Tiramisu. First course was a burrata and prosciutto platter. No complaints here. Hard to go wrong. Came with bread and a broccoli rabe purée on top of the olive oil. Quite tasty. Short rib- massive. It was tasty and tender. Mash was a little meh. Reminded me of the box kind. Not that earthy goodness with a skin or two still in there. Overall taste 8.5/10. For the price I think this is a little on the pricey side for what you get. But then again it's been a while since we've been out so maybe my perspective is skewed. Beef BOLOGNESE- fantastic. I was in love with this dish. Noodles not overcooked nice and toothy. The sauce was excellent too. The sauce we great, was not brimming with flavortown flavor but pretty darn good 9/10. Would order again. I think a great value for the price. We weren't stuffed after the meal which was nice as we had a dessert date nearby (follow the next review to see where). Overall pleasant place to bring the family or for date night.

Yelp
I really wanted to love my experience here. I've been searching for homey Italian food in the area and this has been on my list for a while. The food is hit or miss. The eggplant melanzane was good, I would pass on the zucchini blossoms which were overly fried and tasteless. The penne Alla vodka was more cream butter based I would rate it a 5/10. If you prefer a very creamy buttery version this is for you however it was a touch bland and better suited for the childrens menu. The steak was good, healthy portion and served with a nice arugula side. Overall I would order from here in a pinch but it would not be my first option given the hit or Miss of the food. Important to note is that the prices were not the same as on the website. Many prices on the website are about $1-4 dollars more on the actual menu. A note on the service is that the waiters tended to direct all communication to my male partner who commented on the weirdness of the interactions.

Yelp
My coworker, a local to the area, had always spoken extremely highly about Da Francesco, and she is a tough foodie critic. Surrendering a Friday afternoon lunch indoors, we decided to venture to this famed Italian restaurant so I could be the judge, once and for all. Upon walking inside, it was very empty for lunch hour, and the soccer games were planning on the TV above the bar. We were seated in the back by the wall of mirrors to the far left. We were given menus upon seating, and the smells from the kitchen were heavenly. The music was a tad too loud and didn't fit the Italian vibes I was hoping for, but I was more interested in the symphony of my nose than my ears. My gal pal and I opted to split an order of Pizzette with tomato and mozzarella and also the special of the day of shrimp scampi over linguine pasta. The Pizzette was a nice homemade pizza that had great stretch on the cheese, and the sauce was pretty tasty. Overall, not a bad way to start the meal and wet your appetite. The real gem was the shrimp scampi over pasta. The pasta was perfectly al dende, and the shrimps were JUMBO sized with a great snap when you bit into it. The pasta was cooked in that perfect salt water that complimented the garlic, oil, and cheese sauce it was wrapped in. THIS was the kind of pasta dishes that I grew up with and hold near and dear to my heart. They do pace the food pretty slowly, because most Italian meals are about the marathon and not the sprint; I'm sure they can cater to your time schedule if asked. I would love to come back and try something different and maybe bring my husband to give this a go for a different vibe at night.

Yelp
Da Francesco serves Italian Food which is my favorite....that's more than enough reason to give them 4.5 out of 5 stars-lol. Add that they serve great tasting Italian Food and we found ourselves a winner ladies and gentlemen! The establishment is located in Williamsburg and it was recommended by a friend, so we agreed to meet there last night for dinner. I am always excited about Italian Food and this was my first time at Da Francesco....let's just say that I was ready to eat as I got closer to their front door -lol. Da Francesco is so pretty! The entrance along w/ front tables and seating, bar area, etc. are simply elegant. I was in awe of the indoor seating area that they have towards the back of the restaurant. There is also interesting art on the walls, writing on some of their wall mirrors, elaborate decor hanging from the ceiling, etc... My friend purchased a Groupon deal which was $35 for $60 worth of food! Such a fantastic Groupon deal! So, we ordered the Carciofi appetizer which is Braised Artichoke that had Garlic, Olive Oil and Parmigiano. We each ordered an entree- I had Spaghetti E Polpette (Spaghetti and Meatballs; my friend had Penne) my friend had a glass of white wine as well as coffee and we shared some Tiramisu for dessert. Delicious Meal! All staff and servers was so nice and attentive. The bill was $67.50 which was excellent for all of the items we ordered. Da Francesco is a place I would like to go to in the summertime to enjoy their food in the outdoor eating area.

Yelp
Ok, this review is going to be a first. It's a first because I've never started writing a review while waiting for a friend to arrive. Well, there I was waiting for my friend to arrive and I decided to go in. Clearly, from the outside of the place and the surrounding community, I can tell you this place has a great family restaurant feel. I walked in and was immediately greeted by who I assume was the owner or manager. I informed him that I was waiting for a friend and he invited me to have a seat at the bar. He even pulled out the seat for me. I order a Pinot Noir and the waitress offered me a small plate of Italian bread, salami and cheese. Needless to say, the customer service here is excellent. The restaurant has many sections. When you first arrive you will notice the vestibule seating area followed by the bar area. There is a main dining area and this is perhaps the best area of all. The dining area is quite beautiful with a very high ceiling and decorative layout. Believe me, you will find yourself looking up and around as you wait for your meal/drink order to be taken. So, my friend arrived and we were seated right away. The waiter did all the customary things to perfection. I had the special fish of the day and my friend had grilled lobster in the shell. We both enjoyed out meal immensely. The waiter made sure that everything was to our liking and struck the right balance in making sure we had everything we needed. I'm confident that I will be returning in the very near future to try the many delicious options on the menu, namely the spaghetti and meatballs and who doesn't love spaghetti and meatballs!

Nichole M.

Yelp
The first thing I find myself asking about restaurants these days, due to COVID restrictions, is if it's warm there. Their "outdoor" seating is an enclosed extension of their restaurant so it is warm. Also, they do have electric heaters at each table making it even warmer. To start we ordered the meatballs, octopus and baked clams. The meatballs themselves were really good. However, the tomato sauce they used, while not bad, wasn't my favorite. It was more like a tomato soup than a suave/gravy. The baked clams were flavorful but the breadcrumb topping wasn't as crispy as I like it. The grilled octopus was fantastic! It was grilled to perfection and the seasoning was on point. For dinner I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli. The ravioli was amazing! The used the same sauce as the meatballs and for some reason it worked better with the ravioli. I also had some of my boyfriends linguini with clams and it was so yummy. It came with so many clams we weren't able to finish them all. My friend had the penne alla vodka and said while it was good it wasn't anything special. You have to try the panna cotta. It was delicious.

Kylie B.

Yelp
Walked into Da Francesco and was surprised at how big the space was. The food was good, nothing spectacular where I would run back, but overall good. We ordered a Margherita pizza, a glass of white and red sangria, penne piccanti, and paccheri. Tiramisu for dessert. The music in the restaurant was way too loud. The biggest issue during our restaurant experience was that there were 5-8 fruit flies surrounded around and on our table the entire time. We kept trying to swat them away the entire meal. Got to the end of the meal and asked for the check. 10 minutes went by and no check received (there were only two other tables in the restaurant occupied). Had to get up and ask for the check again. Not a great experience, probably would not dine in again.

Mina S.

Yelp
Is very nice , the decorations , the music. Is like old inn in London Service very bad : waiter very grumpy , want to push for $200 special dish . Waited till the main course to offer water. Stale bread, bad drinks. Food tastes ok but very cheap portion for the price. I'm overall I paid $80 for 2 people which isn't cheap for a very bad experience. Don't ruin your night here.

Ashmani M.

Yelp
I had a lovely diner date here last night and the food was spectacular. I definitely will be back...perhaps later this week because all I could dream about last night were soft pillowy cheese raviolis. I purchased a Groupon ($30 for $60) for this date and it was satisfied to the full extent. I had two very kind waiters seat us and explain all the wines/food specials for the night. He also let us know upon seating that we could order whatever we wanted off the menu with no restrictions (major plus). They had an extensive wine menu and even better food menu. We weren't in much of a drinking mood since we were downing margaritas the night before so fortunately that made us just focus on food. My date ordered the lamb shank and couscous and I had two entrees: spaghetti and meatballs and raviolis. The meatballs and ravioli were phenomenal! I completely demolished my raviolis in a few bites; they were so good and the sauce was not too acidic. I know spaghetti and meatballs seems a little basic at an Italian restaurant but I assure you there was nothing basic about this entrée. My waiter came to spoon Parmesan over my two plates and I asked him if he could leave the cheese at the table with me and he giggled in understanding lol! Let me not forget to talk about the lamb shank. It was cooked for hours to the point it was practically falling off the bone. It was seasoned to perfection and it was huge! My date couldn't stop talking about his lamb the entire drive back home. It gets better... so its been hours after dinner and were laying in bed and he starts talking about how amazing his lamb was all over again. I'm like okay I get it, I was there too and yes it was good. He continues " Ash you don't understand the moment my fork touched the lamb etc etc etc." He is so annoying but he's so right, that lamb was everything and more. What's even more shocking is that the lamb shank entrée was only $22! Where do you even find prices like that ? Our waiter had mentioned a grilled lamb chop option as well which we anticipate to try very soon. For dessert we shared my all time favorite ice cream in the whole wide world, a tartufo. I've had tons of tartufo in my life from all over the world and this one was pretty okay. Lets just say it was a good simple ending to a great meal. Also, the couscous was a bit strange to me it was kind of crunchy and had carrots in it. It didn't taste bad but it is something I'm not use to eating I suppose. Overall, we had a great time: the food, ambiance, and service was 5 stars. I definitely recommend!!

Judith R.

Yelp
Old school Italian in the best possible way. Comfortable, traditional setting with great food and top-notch service. Everything we had was excellent and very generous portions. They deserve to be much busier than they are.

Rita L.

Yelp
I came here on a brisky Friday night around 9pm with no wait at all. Before coming, I read the reviews and decided to search up the Groupon deal that everyone was talking about. I was lucky that the deal was still live- $30 for $60 worth, but the catch was that I had to order two entree meals. No problem at all. Wooden tables and chairs with a homey-feel. Nice place to be on unwinding from a long week on a Friday night. I was greeted by a gentleman who seemed to have the whole nightly special menu recited in his mind. We got served warm bread with a broccoli rabe spread with olive oil (with other ingredients, I forgot which). Personally, I didn't really like it so I opted to ask for olive oil & balsamic vinegar...can never go wrong with that. For the appetizers, I ordered the grilled octopus toppled over cold cannellini beans with celery. It was my first time having octopus like this over beans. Personally, I think the octopus was warmish-cold and of course, I wanted the octopus to be hot. I would've enjoyed it more if it was hot. We also ordered the arugula salad. Something simple--arugula tossed with basalmic & olive oil with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. I was disappointed because there were three slices of mozzarella and not enough cherry tomatoes. The salad could've used maybe some truffle oil and a squeeze of lemon juice to enhance the flavors. For the entrees, we ordered the fresh fettuccine with seafood (special for the night) and the fettuccine with bolognese sauce. The fettuccine was definitely fresh, I give props for that. However, the seafood was salty and tasted frozen, but not frozen fresh. The clams, mussels, lobster, and shrimp tasted salty. If that makes any sense. It just didn't have that fresh seafood taste, but a frozen taste. Seafood shouldn't taste like that, if it was fresh. I was disappointed. The fettuccine with bolognese sauce was also salty for my liking. Wasn't feeling it. I ended up taking half of it to go because I couldn't finish it. All in all, the fettuccine was cooked al dente and it was fresh. Everything else, I question if it is. Service was good, live music was too loud for our liking to enjoy our dinner.

Angeliki T.

Yelp
This was our second time here and we weren't disappointed. Food was fresh; well-seasoned and delicious. Staff was great; friendly and on point. Drinks were strong. Atmosphere was nice. Definitely coming back again!

Jessica R.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us. We got there around 4 pm for an early dinner. We started with appetizers- fried calamari and baked clams. I tried the calamari which had a tangy thai flavor. It was really good but so unexpected for an Italian restaurant. The baked clams were really tiny but I was told they were tasty. I could never get myself to try it. Don't know why. For our main course we ordered the lamb shank which came with potatoes and vegetables, grilled chicken breast with vegetables, shrimp risotto and a personal pizza. While we waited they served some chewy thick bread with some olive oil and pesto sauce (I believe) which was really good! I don't eat lamb, but I peeped over and it looked so appetizing. I was told the lamb was tender, flavorful and perfectly cooked. The potatoes were also very good too. This would be my first time trying risotto and I thought it was really good. I didn't know it has a soupy rice texture. My shrimp was not whole, but cut up into pieces. Shrimp in every bite. The pizza was a big hit. It had fresh basil and mozzarella with a touch of sauce. Eccellente!! To finish our meal we ordered cannolis and espressos all around (we always end our meals with espresso Ha Ha!) The espresso was excellent but those cannolis were a show shopper. It had a nice thick chocolate coating and the filling was phenomenal. We had a great meal here and it wasn't too expensive for six guests. The staff was great, the place is intimate yet spacious and the bathrooms were clean. I would eat here again.

Yelp
PRICES ON THE WEBSITE ARE OLD . THEY ARE CHARGING A LOT MORE. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE FOOD PRICES ONLINE. Waitstaff is sometimes nice and sometimes very rude and arrogant. It is a gamble eating there . The owner needs a better manager and someone in charge of the front of the house . Food quality is also hit or miss. i WILL NOT GO OUT OF MY WAY TO EAT HERE

Jennifer A.

Yelp
Great place, and had amazing, fresh food!! Very classic, old Italian look and energy to the place. Definitely more family oriented, than a young, modernized crowd. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food has great portions and the flavors did not disappoint. The mushroom risotto was delicious, but extremely filling so be prepared to share or to take some home. The raviolis and baked clams were perfect proportion. I would say the baked clams could be shared with two people per order. Definitely worth it to try! I would recommend this more with people of all age groups and if you're looking for a traditional, vintage Italian meal/atmosphere. The place was very warming and dimly lit for a wonderful relaxing dinner. Did not disappoint at all!

Lauren T.

Yelp
My family and I came here yesterday to celebrate my dad's birthday. We thought the food was excellent. The owner is so warm and friendly and checks in on the table often which is nice. Cocktails were great and all the dishes we had were wonderful. It is a very cool spot inside; decorated with an industrial meets old world design. We will definitely be coming back. Bravo Francesco!

Yelp
This Italian restaurant in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) is pretty amazing. I came across the spot with a groupon (60 for 30 dollars) and decided to go with a gf. The area its in is adorable and lovely to walk through in the evening. The place itself was inviting and quaint. The food? Amazing! I wanted to wait to have some goood pasta in NY on my visit and this place didn't disappoint. For starters we had some shrimp that was made with garlic and white wine..the table bread was delicious and the spread for dipping was all the way in flavortown. I ordered a mouth watering penne with a tomato sauce with olives and capers, garlic and a hint of rosemary...talk about goooooot! My gf ordered a bolognese , she cleared her plate..she normally finishes like half her food.. Anyhoo even if there's no Groupon available..still go, it's worth it.

Yelp
I'd prefer not to write a bad review in this time but I got sick after eating here. To start, the food looks a lot better on yelp, very bland tasting dine in person with COVID protocols not being followed. There were red flags such as the stale bread served with mustard, the flies, someone saying this restaurant sucks when walking by but we decided to keep an open mind. We barely finished the food but paid the full bill/tipped to be courteous of the pandemic. We told the server how unsatisfied we were with the food but they honestly didn't budge. Def better spots in the neighborhood, won't be returning.

Yelp
This was an amazing restaurant where we celebrated Mother Day. The food was exceptional and the chef/owner was amazing. The fried calamari was to die for and he beef skirt steak! Towards the end of dinner and getting the check, the chef gave us complimentary fruit and chocolate platter. Absolute amazing service. Make sure you try this hidden gem in Williamsburg Brooklyn!

Yelp
If there was an option for -5 stars that's I would rate this place. The service was nothing better than awful. We have been loyal customer for more than 10 years and this place used to be one of our favorites as we were treated so kindly that always gave us a reason to want to come back but after today it sad to say we will not be coming back. The was a private party but we did not have any knowledge of the party until after they have seated us. we were seated basically in a storage room after we were then yelled at and disrespected by the employees because they allegedly did us a favor in finding an area for us. It's sad to say the place that once brought my family joy and fulfillment has turned into a place of great disappointment.

Yelp
We went with a Pulsd, and like others have also written, it was just fine but be prepared to spend much more than on the Pulsd. Not much will be covered by the Pulsd like other restaurants. Was okay, just not too sure it would be a place that I would return.

Yelp
I was in the mood to try a new restaurant and I found this place on groupon so I decided to give them a chance. The restaurant itself is small but cute with nice decor and a main dining room with a very open feel. We arrived a little early for our reservation but there was plenty of seating. We noticed it was still happy hour and they were doing two for one drinks on wine etc. at the bar. The wine list they showed us at the table only listed bottles so my husband attempted to go to the bar to take advantage of the happy hour offer but they told him they would just bring the wine to our table (nope not getting the happy hour rate because we are seated.) I ordered a chardonnay and it was a nice full glass at the very least. The bread was fresh and crusty and the sauce they provide with it is delicious. The menu itself is very limited but they do offer some specials. Nothing on the menu looked particularly special or appetizing aside from some of the appetizers. I ordered the grilled octopus appetizer and then we decided to go off menu with two specials. The grilled octopus was great and the serving size was pretty good. It did not taste char grilled but it was still crisp on the outside but tender inside and very nicely seasoned. For the main course we ordered the duck breast with spinach and the jumbo shrimp scampi with linguine. The shrimp was nicely sized though there weren't many of them but for the price it was a decent value. The sauce was decent but not very tangy or salty either. The fresh pepper and Parmesan cheese that the server brought helped flavor it a bit more. The duck was not very flavorful and it was supposed to be cooked with some type of orange glaze as the waiter explained but it was also pretty bland. To make matters worse it was a very fatty cut of meat and it was pretty chewy. Not tender at all. I guess the first indication was that it was already pre-cut when it arrived to the table. The spinach was good but it's pretty hard to ruin something so simple like spinach. Other notable observations: Take it easy on the salt. The holes in the shakers are huge and you might get a bit more than you bargained for. The water refills were so frequent it was almost starting to get annoying. We would literally take one sip and someone was already on their way to fill it again so it was interrupting the conversation we were trying to have. Since it wasn't very busy there was a server standing table-side nearly the entire time watching us eat. We appreciate the thought that someone was there readily available for whatever we needed but some privacy would be nice too. When we arrived there was a projector displaying a (soccer?) game on one of the walls. It was wasn't in view from my angle so I didn't pay much attention to it. Shortly after we arrived they took it down and hung paintings instead. I assume it's something they do for happy hour. My general consensus of the restaurant is that it's suitable for happy hour, light apps, and may be even lunch but I don't think I would do the dinner thing here again. Of everything we ordered the grilled octopus was the best in terms of flavor so I'd recommend that. The shrimp scampi and linguine wasn't bad in the slightest but it was just average and not something I'd go out of my way to eat again. I still gave the restaurant 4 stars because along with the deal we got it was still a pretty good value even though the duck wasn't so great. I feel that with a different menu choice the night would have been much better overall.

Yelp
I have been meaning to write an review for the longest but haven't had the time ! I love this place I usually come here once or twice a month. The restaurant is beautifully decorated which is perfect for a family dinner , and or romantic date night. When you enter the restaurant you feel so welcomed by everyone . The owner always greets my family and I . Our server is always George who is just as amazing He makes us feels welcome and is patient with my big family . The bartender is also very sweet and she can make a wicked drink . I usually get the penna vodka but this time George told us to try to Ravioli and , wow ! Just wow ! I also get the side veggies with garlic and If you come here let me know what you get ! I a pretty sure anything you choose will be made with love , passion and you will enjoy

Yelp
I love this place. Well, maybe it's because they always have a groupon and it makes me feel good about the value i'm getting. Besides that, the food is actually really quite good at a very reasonable price. I don't usually get appetizers but here I almost always get the calamari and you can always ask for the sauce on the side(which is good but spicy which everyone doesnt always like). I also almost always get the short rib which is an excellent value but the other dishes are all pretty solid as well. They somehow manage to have a whole bunch of specials each time you come in too. The staff is great and the ambiance is quite nice as well. Parking is usually not an issue; maybe within two blocks. Check this place out!

Yelp
I went here recently for a family dinner for my cousin's birthday. Overall, there was decent ambiance and set up. The service was good. The food though was nothing really to write home about. I had the fettucine bolognese. It was okay. I've had better for less the cost. There are definitely other Italian places in New York that I would recommend over this place. Not sure how this place has that many rave reviews but I guess to each their own.

Yelp
I don't know where to start with the fantastic restaurant. The service was excellent with very attentive staff. The restaurant is also large and old timey, a great place to take a group or family. The prices are also reasonable especially for the portion size. Now most importantly, the food was to die for. I split the calamari and octopus appetizers. The calamari comes dressed in a sweet and sour sauce which made it tangy with still crispy. The octopus was perfect cooked and juicy. For entrees, I shared the short rib and lamb. The short rib was sauces perfectly and incredibly tender. My favorite was the lamb which came on a huge bone. After trying the lamb, I was so grateful to have listened to my fellow Yelpers who said to order it. A fantastic dish. 100% will be back.

Yelp
Sat down to what seemed like a decent place. However, the first signs things were going to go awry, was when the waiter brought cold bread with olive oil and mustard (I don't even know where to begin with the mustard) and a flat soda that I ordered to the table. Not meaning to be rude we ordered a few appetizers to start and an entrée to share. As soon as the appetizers arrived, I knew something was wrong. I ordered the artichoke appetizer and the burrata. I tasted the burrata and it's as if they bought the cheese at ShopRite and slapped it on some tomatoes that they sliced three days earlier from the fridge. There wasn't even any salt on it. And it's definitely tomato season so there's no excuse for not having fresh tomatoes!!! Honestly, I took one bite, got up and told the waiter to cancel the entrée, paid for the two appetizers I didn't eat and left. How disappointing!! Ugh! Felt so bad for the server but what could I do? Not their fault I suppose! Whoever is managing this place needs a wake up call! Definitely a neglected restaurant! Get better quality ingredients!

Yelp
Went here several times. Dinner menu is great no matter what I got, but I did especially like the skirt steak. Braised lamb very good too! Yet to try the pastas but I'm sure will exceed expectations. Waiters are extremely nice and professional. Would always go back!

Yelp
This restaurant is absolutely wonderful, Food was delicious, for the appetizer, we order the calamari which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, And for entrees we order the penne vodka, which was just the right about of sauce and the braise short ribs, which were very tender. The mash potatoes were average, but still good. For dessert we finished with the crème brûlée, which was good! The ambiance is really beautiful and the music is old jazz and the volume level was constant and not too loud or soft. We will definitely come back!

Food was really good, went on a pulsd and was greeted to a great Italian ambiance. Would recommend.

Yelp
We were very disappointed in our meal here, especially after reading all the good reviews. Makes us wonder how many of them are 100% genuine. Let me start by saying that the bottle of wine we had was good. The sweet and sour calamari appetizer was also good, but everything went downhill from there. We had a scallop appetizer for the table, but the scallops were so overcooked that they were tough and rubbery. We ordered some pastas with clams, but like a reviewer mentioned below, it seems like the seafood isn't fresh or is frozen, so the quality was not good. One of the cavatelli pasta dishes was so undercooked that it felt like we were eating dough. Kudos to one of the waiters, who noticed that we were leaving our plates half-eaten and tried to make up for the bad food by giving us loads of freebies like coffee, dessert etc.. I added one-star to this review for the service. However, the fact that we paid for an unsatisfactory meal can't be changed.
