We went to this restaurant after going to an event in LA. When you walk in you get super Jamaican vibes. They have old radios by the countertops and the place is colorful with Jamaican flag colors. When the food came out, it was nice and hot and everything was so good.I recommend getting the jerk salmon cajun style. It was so good we got a plate to go. We definitely want to go back and do a food review with them. Keep doing the great job. Foodie insta: @jwardhooper22

To be fair I'm not an expert on Jamaican food, but this place is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Great music. The food is awesome. The Jerk Chicken is subtle with a nice little kick to it. But one of its biggest attributes are the people that work there. They have that you're here your family vibe. When you go back there, you feel like your old friends. Well worth a stop by to grab you some good dinner and good spirits.

First time going there a couple days ago. I got the Jerk Chicken Pizza with extra cheese and it was one of the most amazing pizzas I ever had, i don’t know what ginger/? juice she made me but it was fantastic as well!! Customer service was on point. I will definitely be going back 🖤

Got the jerk ox tail yard man style and it was great. probably a good thing I got it to go because I was a caveman on those tails. definitely recommend and will come back to try something else next time I am around.

The Jerk chicken was phenomenal! The seasoning and the sauce were on points ( wish they doused the chicken with the sauce) Decent portions as well.

I slipped into LEPRECHAUN mode... becaz I was filling these meat PATTIES to go... they gave me a large Brown Birkin sized Bag to put all the good JAM in...And then I ran off into the Jamaican sunset...w my two Jamaican Patties... yes there WAS a happy ending there.. when I got home and I put the Curry Beef Patty in my mouth... another explosion of flavAaaa ... time did stops ... I Am Complete-Ly satisva'd now MAN... My other Patty will wait for me... she's the classic Meat PATTY... but I'll let you know how that goes it another time Yes!? Come to the YARD HOUSE... and cum KWIK... before the SHERIFF GET HIER... YA HIA!!! Dis Jamaican joint is no joke!!! Ordered online, arrived to get my food and there was no oxtails. The girl told me that she cant mark items on the website as "sold out". I was disappointed bc someone could've called me to tell me that. I had to order something else and still wait at least 15 minutes to get my order. The food was good but the service was bad. Ended up ordering the jerk chicken yard man style - it was good. The chicken was flavorful and juicy the rice was good, the peas were kinda hard. Got the Mac and cheese and it tasted like nothing. Don't order it.

I'm sorry...WHAT? TEW GOOD! TOO FREAKIN DELICIOUS. I wanted some Jamaican food but my go to isn't in my city so I just typed in "Jamaican" on Apple Maps and this spot popped up. I just took a leap of faith based on the reviews and BOYYYY get out. Cute little spot that's easy to spot and it will hit all the spots. Period bye

This was a takeout experience so I can't speak on the ambiance or service. The food was okay. The Mac & Cheese could use a little more flavor. The Jerk Chicken had more bone than meat. The rice was not my favorite texture (it had beans or peas, which I don't mind). The Jerk Shrimp was good (I believe you get 4-5 pieces though). There was not much to the fries... they were fries. I did enjoy the Champagne Cola and Ting soda though!

I was visiting LA for a few days and decided to try this establishment. It was in a shared space with a pizzeria that was going out of business. I waited for Da Jerk Yard to open, only to be told it would be about another 3 hrs before they get some food ready. When I came back, they still were not prepared.

Cool place, great music, friendly staff. The food definitely has unique flavors. The Jerk Chicken was more sweet than spicy, the onions and peppers on top were delicious. Rice and peas you taste coconut off top, the rice was soft and the peas were tender. The Oxtails were very tender, they are not spicy at all. The flavor was good. The veggies had a different seasoning but it was ok. The plantains were not good, they had a funny taste.

Da Jerk Yard recently popped up on my Uber eats and my friend coincidentally asked me if I tried not soon after I saw it on the app, so that's what prompted me to try it. Usually im hesitant about ordering food late as night, but this spot set the bar high!! I ordered the jerk chicken yard man style (served with rice & peas, sweet plantains + veggies) and Mac and cheese! Yall my food was so fresh + hot and delicious!! No notes!! All tens!! my new late night spot fasho!!!

They are on door dash & it was a quick delivery , let me start there! I spent about 175 dollars ( including delivery and tip ) and it was well worth it. Get the pineapple ginger !!!!! 10/10 for the jerk chicken pizza ! Reminds me of a bbq chicken pizza but seasoned to perfection. My husband got the jerk salmon over fries and the sauce on the side so the fries wouldn't be soggy. He said it was spicy ( in a good way ) " I could eat it again !" 10/10 Jerk chicken tacos and jerk shrimp tacos order comes in 3 -- the mango salsa took them both to a different level with the jerk . I got the jerk beef ribs and they were bbq'd perfectly and paired with the garlic knots ; other favorite of my husbands. My 16 month old loved the Mac b cheese ( they sent complementary) Will be in to dine again soon thanks !

I've been before multiple times in person and it's always a lovely experience. From the sweet plantains to even sweeter employees there is no room to complain about da jerk yard. I was craving it around 10pm and to my surprise it was on Uber Eats! The jerk salmon, ordered yard man's style, was exactly what I was craving. So glad I came back this spot again

The jerk chicken is probably one of the best jerk chicken plates I've had in LA. The jerk teriyaki short ribs are also really good!

Let me start by saying 10/10! I finally ate at Da Jerk Yard after being highly recommended by some close friends and I am so thankful that I did! Right in the heart of Hollywood, it felt like I was getting an authentic Jamaican experience. The food was out of this world delicious. I ordered the Jerk Teriyaki Short Ribs plate with Sorrel to drink....and WOW. I love Jamaican food but I'm typically underwhelmed by rice and peas... this place proved me wrong! Both the rice and peas and cabbage were well seasoned. It was bomb! My partner ordered the jerk chicken plate and she couldn't stop talking about how good her food was! I'll will definitely be coming back... SOON! Plus it looks very cool inside, it gives a speakeasy feel which was very unexpected Loved it!

This place is the best in LA hands down. Big oxtails and full of flavor. Everything on this menu is a huge hit! my guy lion is the most humble person running this establishment. Enjoy your food but talk to the chef here as well. He will tell you everything you need to know about the food and culture, from what to order to his story about this gem! My brother thank you!

Best Jamaican food in Los Angeles for sure. I come 1-2x a week. Fast and friendly service. I'm waiting on my order as I type this.

Top notch Jamaican food. The best I've ever had. I've tried everything on the menu & you can't go wrong. The flavor is always consistent & the portions are always hearty. Jerk teriyaki? This is a very very very tacky unauthentic place very disrespectful and distasteful missing the mark massively if they're aiming for Jamaican food

This food is so good with the right spice. I had the ribs, jerk chicken and oxtails. Yum yum! The service was excellent and the ambiance is a vibe. Sorry them ribs was so good I don't have a picture. I will be back. Thank you!

New Jamaican restaurant in Hollywood and it's delicious! I'm from the east coast, furthermore grew up eating Jamaican food at home and this gets my stamp of approval. I ordered jerk salmon and it was made ready to order and grilled to perfection. The rice and peas were perfect. I could taste the cocoanut milk in each bite. Friendly service, cute feel inside. Will definitely return

Honestly, this evening was my first time eating here and I have nothing but great words for da jerk yard. Great playlist, Everything on My Jerk Chicken plate had its own unique bold flavor and their chicken tasted very clean rice was flavorful and vegetables were tasty and their plantains were like warm hug from yo momma. 10/10 recommend

this is my new spot. right near my work. good portions. best plantains. service is always nice and fast i said oh my god so many times the first time i ate here good location too nice outdoor table and booth next to the window. they got all the sodas too! still need to try the patties. they look flaky

Have been hearing a little about this place but it didn't look open. Well I'm glad I took a chance today to find out and they are indeed open! This place is located right next to Delicious Pizza and they kind of share their entrance right now while the inside of their side is getting constructed. You walk through and get taken to the back charming little patio. You get that whiff of the barbecue and they have the real deal barbecue grill here. We were greeted by a lovely lady that took our orders. We had the Jerk Salmon and the Jerk Shrimp. Both were fantastic (and spicy! In a good way) and came with rice and beans, super delicious cabbage and some plantains. Perfection. We also got the Mac and cheese to try and it was some of the best we ever had. Great vibes and amazing food. Oh and they also have Ting and Ginger Beer! My favorite! They're going to have Jamaican patties next week! If you love Jamaican food, this is your spot!

The food is amazing at Da Jerk Yard! I had the Jerk chicken and the meat was falling off the bone! It was so good real Jamaican style. I also had the pineapple ginger beverage and that was awesome too! I highly suggest you try Da Jerk Yard they do uber eats I believe and all the other good delivery apps. Try em you'll thank me later.

Finally some fire local Jamaican food!! I had the jerk chicken plate and the jerk shrimp a la cart. Was so good!! J was super cool and friendly, and she told me I'd be back. Well, she was right. I came back only to find out they added beef patties to the menu!! Definitely recommend!!

Da Jerk Yard is delicious! Had jerk chicken & jerk shrimp with rice, peas, cabbage, and plantains. The meat was perfected cooked - not overdone which is easy with shrimp. Tender and delicious. The sauce on the side was amazing! They carry Red Stripe! The woman working there was very friendly. It took me back to my trip to Jamaica a couple years ago. Highly recommend. There is parking in front certain hours and on the side street and a side street parking lot behind a gate when Sunset is busy. They opened the gate for us when we called.

The service is always excellent! I'm always greeted with smiling faces and a warm welcome. The food is absolutely delicious! The yin and yang of the jerk sauce is perfect! Chef's kiss.

Bout time there was a jerk spot that was good in LA! As an east coaster it was always hard to find good Caribbean food, given the region and demographic in LA, but this is as close to any spot you'd go back east for Carribean eats. And the jerk patties are very good, which is what I use to gauge whether or not it's true Jamaican food or not. Very rich in flavor, whereas other places have the scent of, but not the robust flavoring of actual jerk. If you like Carribean food, go here!

I walk in just now and everyone in there is watching a basketball game, one guy is vaping, no one was at the counter. Waited around for 5 minutes, no one showed up, so I left. Didn't get to try the food. Overall, my vote is don't go here. Don't waste your time with a place that's going to waste your time. Whoever the owner is should fire whoever was working tonight and find someone who knows how to handle a cash register.

I ordered the jerk salmon for the second time and the flavor is not as consistent as I hoped it would be. The salmon had no seasoning ZERO FLAVOR this time, there were chicken bones inside my food, plantains were not sweet/ripe and the Mac and cheese was really basic, pale and tastes like grease. I'm going to give this place one last try in the future before giving up.

Ordered delivery. Genuinely shocked at the portion size. I got the jerk chicken and received: one small chicken leg, a sliver of chicken breast (with bone), and a portion of the chicken back. Enough chicken for a small child. So disappointed. I really hope this was a mistake and not the policy.

Cool little pop-up place in the courtyard/parking lot behind Delicious Pizza. (Have to actually go through the dining room of Delicious to get to it). Basically a food stand with some tables under a tent. Super friendly staff. Really good food! This one will become one of our regular places.

Da Jerk Yard is our new favorite place! We stumbled upon the restaurant after making a wrong turn and we're so glad we did! We ordered the jerk shrimp tacos and fried plantains, and the food was DIVINE. The shrimp is grilled fresh on the spot, so it is a little bit of a wait but absolutely worth it. It was so good we went twice in a day and made friends with the staff. We will be back!

HUGE UP .....Having lived in Negril, I know I am more than qualified to rate Jamaican Cuisine...Da Jerk Yard is great, in the heart of Hollywood. Jerk chicken, veggies and rice are beyond authentic , the aromas surround you as you enter from the street. "J" and Lion are all about vibe ala IRIE I grabbed a Red Stripe when I waited and went home , put on some Culture and smiled, only to kick way back in style. Patties- soon come
