"Once you hit day three of a convention or a conference, you’re going to want to eat something that doesn’t weigh you down as you sit through four more hours of back to back powerpoint presentations. During your next break, head to Da Kine Poke. This former food truck now has food stalls at both downtown’s Market on Magnolia and at The Local Butcher and Market in Winter Park. There are a few signature bowls on the menu, or you can make your own, with a variety of fresh fish, vegetables, sauces, condiments, and bases to choose from. photo credit: Da Kine Poke" - Maddy Zollo Rusbosin

A poke bowl shop in a butcher…yes please. Quick and perfectly done poke bowl. I got the Hawaiian Bowl. The rice was excellent. Tuna great as well. Excellently sauced. They have a few set bowls and then a create your own option. In a sea of meat products, this fish spot swims to its own current and is worth a stop.

Came here during the pandemic and had a pleasantly delicious meal at this place. It’s located inside of another store in the corner so it doesn’t have it’s own building. We were visiting from Jacksonville and wanted poké bowls and stopped here for a quick meal. They don’t have that many protein options so we opted for the el Diablo poké bowl which was had kimchi in it. For the size of the bowl and the ingredients with the limited menu, I would say it’s pricy for what it is. My sister and I ate the el Diablo poké bowl paired with brown rice and tofu which turned out to be great. It was spicy, fresh, and had just the right amount of toppings. Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re visiting but wouldn’t come back if I came down to orlando! It was nice to try it out though!

Google
Love their poke bowls! Tasty, fresh, made to order, quality ingredients, nice combinations and yummy! I fell in love with poke bowls after I tried these and they did not disappoint.

Google
Tasty bowls! You can pick your protein (tuna, salmon, tofu) and your base (rice & greens) and various toppings or you can go with one of the bowls on the menu. I decided on the El Diablo and it was delicious. I’m not sure why the address is coming up Orange Ave? I had my meal at Market in Magnolia. I give it 4.5. It’s a little pricey for fast casual, but it’s fresh salmon and delicious so it probably is on price point at $13 for my bowl. Friendly service too!

Google
This place has really good poke bowls! I come often and like to make my own custom bowls. There's a place to sit inside and outside.

Google
Excellent poke! Everything was so fresh and tasty. I will be definitely coming back to get more.

Google
Poke was very good although the brown rice was a little bit crunchy. We were served quite a lot of food for the price. Go to the counter to place your order. It's inside The Local Butcher (next door to The Porch) which is a cool place in itself. Will check out The Porch next time--it's the same owners.

If I want something fresh for lunch, Da Kine is my place. Quick service, great ingredients. The downtown location is great too!

Yelp
This place is located inside a little meat and cheese market on a corner lot in WP. Theres also a little sandwich shop in there I believe. The staff are quite nice and friendly. The place has a couple pre-made options as well as a build your own bowl. It's $13.99 and you can get two bases (white rice/forbidden rice (an apparently healthier rice thats black)/spring greens), two protein, 6 toppings, 2 sauces, 3 crunchies and 2 spicy add ons included in the $13.99. You fill out a little paper and they make it for you. It did take awhile for the lady to build our bowls but I guess since it isn't Chipotle-style where you point at what you want, it makes sense. You can walk around the meat and cheese market for a bit while you wait though. However, if you're not there for meat or cheese, there's not much else to look at except a small collection of sauces, crackers and drinks that you can get at a regular grocery store. The bowl was a good size honestly. The container they give it in is a little large so it looked lacking when we picked it up but it actually contained a good amount. I think the most commendable aspect is that they give a lot of fish/protein. The poke isn't bad. I got the sriracha mayo and garlic sauce on my bowl and I think they paired well enough. The forbidden rice isn't bad either. I got both the white rice and forbidden rice and they taste almost the same tbh. The veggies are fresh and refreshing. Overall, not a bad bowl of poke.

Yelp
NEW LOCATION- We've been big fans of Da Kine for years. We used to order from the Winter Park location to go but unfortunately their lease wasn't renewed. For the first time we visited them at their Gatlin Hall Brewing location and it was delightful! They had a special fish tip with toasted pita that was on point. And my poke bowl was loaded with fresh and flavorful ingredients. Another win is that there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so we could enjoy our bowls fresh... no need to tote them home. The service was great and fast... and he did a beautiful job constructing our bowls. The only reason I can give them 5 stars is because it's located inside a brewery that feels like a bar and it's not an elevated experience. Don't really love eating with single use plastic and a pub table. So go for the food and don't worry about the ambiance!

Sara M.

Yelp
Part of me wishes I could give them a 4 5 because I will say they have not always been consistent. I've ordered many times through Uber eats here and they have the best raw fish I've had for a poke place for sure! Their toppings are perfect and when they have someone good making the bowl its the most enjoyable poke ! Now there have been times where the bowls were pretty sad but that was because of whoever prepared them incorrectly. The salmon is sooooo good! This still stands as my favorite poke bowl spot today!

Amelia M.

Yelp
Love this place! Fresh and delicious. Diablo is my go to. The bowls are filling and there are a variety of toppings so the menu doesn't get old. Also, pricing never changes regardless of market rate for fish which is nice. Give it a go! If you like sushi you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Continuing my conquest of the best places I've never been in Orlando, I decided to come here. I had never heard of this place before. Not until they got voted Best Poke Restaurant of 2020 by the readers of Orlando Weekly. This place is located in the middle of a butcher shop in Winter Park. It's nestled cozily in there in a symbiotic relationship and you can order face-to-face with the guy, or you can use check boxes to make your order and just turn it in contactless. The bases are simple and the toppings are plentiful. You get White Rice, Brown Rice, or Baby Spinach. That's it. I went with brown rice, and it was very nice. No complaints. Then you can choose between Fresh Ahi Tuna, Salmon, or Tofu. That's it. I had the salmon. Super fresh, super delicious. I love limited choices, as long as they're done right. So far, so good. The toppings. I got so many. Just for fun, here's a list: Pineapple Maui Onions (These are just raw onions, FYI) Scallions Jalapeno (Seeds and membranes removed; just jalapeno taste) Edamame Bean Sprouts Red Bell Pepper Furikaki Cucumber Crispy Onions Wonton Crisps Avocado (A premium topping at an upcharge) And I got two sauces that were exactly what they sounded like, Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce. All these flavors came together very nicely. And each of the flavors of each toppings are so unique that adding some and subtracting others can build you come really unique flavor profiles. I hope to experiment more one day. My only gripe isn't a real gripe, but I recommend you ask for extra sauce on the side if you are a person who loves sauce. You obviously don't want this thing to get too saucy, but you don't want things to get too dry now. Overall, this place was excellent. Every ingredient was super fresh and tasty. And I look forward to coming back to try their signature bowls.

Katherine S.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place. Glad I did. My bowl was super yummy and filling and I want to return, but the guy working didn't seem too thrilled to be there. He hardly said a word to me.

Jane S.

Yelp
First time trying this poke spot. The price is kinda high but the quality of fish and ingredients is well worth it. Especially when you can build your own with 16 options that you don't have to pay extra for. Of course, I did pay extra for seaweed salad and avocado because they are my favorite add ons. If I have to gripe about anything, I'd say my salad bowl needed more lettuce aka kale. The sauce, salmon, and ingredients soaked up my kale! When I brought it home I just added more spinach & arugala, which made it perfect. My husband loved the Hawaiian bowl with white rice and tuna. Both bowls had solid chunks of tuna and salmon so it's good to know they are not skimpy as some other places might be. I'm looking forward to coming back to try other bowls with different sauces. Highly recommend! You feel full after eating but you don't feel stuffed like a pig. Make it your healthy meal for the day.

Claire P.

Yelp
My salmon tastes super fresh! What stands out to me about this place is their sauces. They are uniquely delicious and definitely memorable. I took off a star because it's a bit pricey and limited menu wise, but I understand why due to their location. I think this food has potential for its own place, I will def come back!!

Melinda S.

Yelp
This place has been on my list to try for a while now. My boyfriend was out with friends so I decided it would be the perfect time since he's not a fan of poke. I used Postmates and ordered delivery. I chose a build your own bowl and got it with white rice, ahi tuna, seaweed salad, avocado, fresh ginger, masago, wonton crisps, cilantro, and edamame. I requested soy sauce and spicy mayo to top it all off. The order arrived and I was immediately pleased with just how pretty and appetizing the bowl looked. The toppings were laid out nicely and everything looked bright and fresh. I mixed it up and dug in and found it be so delicious. The flavors all blended together well and the ahi tuna was fresh and tasty. My only desire would be to have a little more sauce. As far as size goes, I felt it was plenty. I wasn't able to finish the entire bowl. The price point is a little high considering seaweed salad and avocado are a dollar upcharge each. I thought that seemed a little high, but I really wanted them and was glad I got them. This brought the entire bowl to $16, but I felt it was worth it for the quality of the ingredients. I didn't feel deprived of fish either; there were lots of chunks of the fresh tuna. I will definitely order here again in the future and try other combinations.

Brooke T.

Yelp
You have to try Da Kine at least once. Their poke bowls are ahhhhmazing. The ingredients are all fresh, the sauces flavorful, and the fish is of great quality. I've had both the salmon and the tuna and there is no question that they are both high quality meats. I am addicted to the coconut curry sauce. I've typically gotten the Hawaiian poke bowl but this afternoon I finally created my own. I highly recommend creating your own. I had white rice, salmon, masago, avocado, seaweed, nori, crispy onions, mango, and cilantro. I actually mixed the coconut curry and eel sauce and was super glad I did. SO GOOD! My boyfriend and I are addicted to Da Kine. With such amazing sauces and fresh ingredients, I can't imagine who wouldn't be. The only down side is the can run up a pretty little tad but hey, you certainly get what you pay for! Worth it for special lunch meals that wouldn't make you feel unproductive later in the afternoon. Love Da Kine!

Felipe B.

Yelp
First time I came here I was so impressed and could just not believe how amazing it was. The first time was so good the standard was placed high. Just impeccable I loved it so much. Came here for a second time and was just floored to how rude and short the guy making the bowl was. I didn't even finish ordering. I had to walk away with how bad service was. I would say this place is a hit or miss.

Manal H.

Yelp
I'm not one to easily leave bad reviews, but I had an awful experience here. Waited almost an hour, people behind me got served before me, and bowl came out completely wrong. Had to go back and ask to Atleast have the avocado I paid for added in. Bowl was absolutely drenched in sauce even though I asked for sauce on the side. An hour and 15+ dollars straight to the trash

Marisa C.

Yelp
I'd have to say the Tuna here is very fresh. I ordered the Hawaiian Poke Bowl (tuna, brown rice, seaweed salad, onions, avocado, ginger) and the Tropical Poke Bowl (tuna, mango, coconut, corn, salsa and brown rice). I only give this place 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the portion size. The bowls are on the pricer side with the small portion of rice and toppings. You can go to SusHi and get a bowl with however many toppings as you'd like for around $10. The bowls here are around $13. It was a nice first try with fresh ingredients.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I thoroughly enjoyed my poke bowl that I got here! The cutest local place that sells local items. All the items were very fresh and I made my own bowl but the choices they have are wonderful! Nice to have multiple options in one place. The avocado is extra (per usual) but definitely added a wonderful flavor and great texture. They did well handling the social distancing aspect and everything is served to go. The place only has a few tables inside.

Alyson J.

Yelp
Fantastic bowls and our group was happy that you can also order cooked proteins as well as the raw poke. We will be back!

Kelsey M.

Yelp
I am always on the hunt for good and reasonably priced poke in Orlando so Da Kine has been list for a while. As someone who doesn't eat much meat, I would have never found it inside this butcher/meat market if I wasn't looking for it, but luckily Instagram posts led me here! The build your own poke bowl concept is pretty common these days, and it's nice that at Da Kine you have the option to load your bowl up with extras such as veggies, mango, and crispy wontons. There's no limit on the add ons and the only two premium toppings ($1 extra) are seaweed salad and avocado. Masago (super flavorful fish eggs) is not and extra charge which is great since it's usually in the premium toppings category. The bowl itself was the perfect size for $12 but you have the option to double the fish for an extra $6 if you're starving. The single portion is enough for a meal in my opinion. The fish was fresh and delicious and I decided to add 2 sauces- soy and spicy mayo. The masago plus all the veggies gave it a sufficient amount of flavor but next time I would ask for a little extra soy sauce. There's also no water available unless you purchase a Dasani water bottle since it's not a typical restaurant. There's a nice outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy your poke bowl but it comes in a plastic take out container already if you've gotta go. You can also buy fish and crab cakes here if you want some at home sushi, shrimp, or salmon. The affordability and quality of Da Kine has convinced me to come back and enjoy another poke bowl and they even have a rewards system where your 10th bowl is free, so only 8 more to go for me!

Bill M.

Yelp
Da Kine Poke is an amazing find in the Orlando area. The Poke was really fresh. Every ingredient was seasoned and complimented one another. I had the Diablo and it was just the right amount of spice and flavor. I would highly recommend coming here to check the spot out. It's inside the meat market so if you're bringing friends who don't like Poke Bowls (who are these people you choose to be friends with?) they have some really awesome sandwiches, but honestly just get the Poke. You won't regret it.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it hit the spot. I love the way you place orders through check boxes on a paper rather than having to point out every add-on you'd like, I think it's an efficient system. I ordered a salmon poke bowl with a ton of toppings and not one was missed. The portion size is also huge and makes it more worth your money. You could probably get two meals out of it so long as you're able to refrigerate the fish immediately. Overall, fresh fish, HUGE variety of toppings ranging from kimchi (which I have yet to see as a typical poke topping) to cucumbers and fish eggs. Fun little seating area indoors with high tops and outdoors with a couple tables and benches!

Cecelia C.

Yelp
Build your own Poke bowl or choose a signature bowl! When you walk in you will see a clipboard with the menu. If you're going to create your own bowl just mark down which items you want in your bowl. You can choose as much or little toppings as you would like. Toppings like avocado and seaweed salad are $1 extra each. Options for sauces. After you have filled out the menu take it over to the cashier. Portions are big enough for meal for 1 person. I recommend creating your own bowl. I usually get mine with salmon, scallions, nori, seaweed salad, pickles radish, cucumber, and massago. Delicious fresh tasting bowls! No parking validation during lunch, only after 6pm.

Susan L.

Yelp
Wonderfully fresh salmon and tuna. Proportionally right on with an even balance of fish and rice so you are not feeling you paid for a bowl of rice with a few bits of fish. Seasoning is also well balanced so you can taste the freshness of everything in your bowl. There are several standard choices but you can make your own with a ton of options to pair with your fish, including a variety of sauces. You can take it to go or sit at one of several outside tables.

Wendy C.

Yelp
Eh. Nothing special... What? There isn't much to really chose from... Fish (Protein) options are Tuna or Salmon or BOTH! With White rice, brown rice or some sort of salad depending on what they have. There are many toppings and I was lazy to pick through the options so I decided to do the El Diablo bowl! Here goes.... It was VERY SALTY. It made the wrong choice.... I got it with the salad (baby Spinach at the time). I got the extra Salmon cause I am a protein freak and wasn't sure how much was actually put in. But it was pretty reasonable amount. My Diablo bowl came with rice crips, onion crips, spicy mayo, Avocado andddd that's it! and the Sriracha salt that I skipped out on. In the end i had to ask for some rice to mix into my bowl cause it was so salty... I barely tasted the salmon... Couldn't tell if the Salmon was fresh... it was smothered in Spicy Mayo. No fresh wasabi, just a bottle blend (looked like Wasabi Mayo) Environment So this place is actually INSIDE the meat shop! It isn't a stand alone place, which I thought it was.... You can't see what the person is serving you up. There is very very very very limited parking outside as there is another restaurant next door. REMEMBER, it is in the meat shop! Niceness He was nice and not friendly. not the friendliest person for a server. It was a first time and of course we are lost, he didn't care to help us out. So he just waited for us. He was nice on the other hand that he would add something in the bowl after he finished making it cause I couldn't make up my mind. I added more salmon after he already closed the bowl. ALSO we were eating it there and because it was so salty, I asked for some brown rice and he was nice to give us some! Thanks guy! Dollar $$ It starts to get pricey if you want the finer items. For one protein (Tuna or Salmon) it is $12 for the bowl. No extra charge for brown rice! For one more protein is is $6 more. For the "finer" items like seaweed salad and avocado it is $1 more. The avocado you get about a 1/4 amount. Yes Eh, I think I will skip. I don't think ill "crave" to come here one day. But if a friend want to go, I would go. #WendyWanders

Yelp
Located in a rustic designed "market place" is where Da Kine is located. It's a great location to hang out and grab a quick poke bowl. You order by picking up a clipboard and marking what you want. It's pretty simple to read and customize. Once you're ready, you drop it off to the staff and they get to making your bowl asap. I went with double salmon and a bunch of topping on a bed of 1/2 rice and 1/2 spring mix. Presentation is delightful but Food taste was just average, I didn't find anything crazy about it but it is better than some other quick poke bowls I have tried so far in Orlando. I expected much more for the price. What is great is the location. You can get a beer from the bar across the room, sit and eat at a community table. TVs are located everywhere for your viewing pleasure. I would return just for the spot to hangout and might pick up another bowl if I'm feeling it.

Amy N.

Yelp
One of the better places to get poke and expanding throughout Orlando. They have a location inside the Meat House in Winter Park, a food truck, and can now be found at the Market on Magnolia in Downtown. They use quality ingredients and the fish is very fresh. I ordered the "El Diablo" off their menu with tuna and brown rice, and it comes with scallions, toasted rice crisps, crispy onions, spicy mayo, avocado, & sriracha salt. I really enjoyed the flavor combinations, I would order this same one again. If you don't want to order off their menu, you also have the option to create your own and they have a long list of toppings to choose from. I've had poke at other places where it was cheaper, but the ingredients and fish wasn't as fresh nor good. I felt that the portion was appropriate, I left feeling full and satisfied, but not stuffed if that makes sense. While it may be on the more expensive side (I paid $13/bowl), you get what you pay for. Raw fish is one of those things where I'm perfectly okay with spending more on. Definitely a good find if you're looking for a delicious, but healthy meal.

Ashley L.

Yelp
Da Kine, you da bomb! Lately I've had poke bowl fever, and Da Kine Poke is a great fix when I'm in the Winter Park area. Located inside The Meat Company, its hidden gems like this joint that gets my foodie senses going. You have the option to create your own bowl, or order one of their signature bowls from a clipboard menu. The guys there answered some questions of mine that came up about the ingredients all without skipping a beat creating poke bowls for the other guests - I love multitaskers during a lunch rush. The custom-made bowl I ordered with tuna, avocado, brown rice, scallion, cilantro, crispy onion with spicy mayo on top was very tasty. I'm only docking a star because I wish there was a little more food & rice in the bowl for the price (I paid $13). But, still a great place for that poke bowl fix - come catch the fever!

Briana S.

Yelp
I am really impressed with the poke made by Da Kine. I always order the Diablo bowl and it never disappoints. It's a great place to go on a date too since there are other restaurants in the same space as Da Kine.

Samantha S.

Yelp
I didn't come here for a long time because I have a gluten allergy and asssumed soy sauce was on everything. I was so happy to be proven wrong and sad that I waited until now! The staff was super knowledgeable about what ingredients did and did not contain gluten. At this time (always double check with staff if you have an allergy) this location uses a gluten free soy sauce and there are plenty of toppings and sauces to chose from. All fish and toppings taste fresh and the bowl was ready quickly. Pro tip, add the roasted sesame oil, it will take your bowl to the next level!

Vikki F.

Yelp
So I got to try a bowl at the Magnolia Market location and was just as impressed with the freshness of the ingredients in my poke bowl. So good.

Matt P.

Yelp
This is my go-to poke spot when I'm downtown. Located on the corner of Church Street and Magnolia this is a great lunch spot for anyone downtown or a good dinner spot before or after a show/ ball game. It's right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of most venues. There are several menu options or you can build your own poke Bowl. The fish is always fresh and flavorful as are the ingredients. The rice is never dry and always seasoned well. The portions are definitely large enough to leave you satisfied and maybe even have some leftovers. If you're in the mood for a healthy option or just some good flavor this is a good spot with a bar located on the other side of the shared space there are plenty of ways to stay entertained at this location.

Susan W.

Yelp
Wow! Da Kine is da bomb! Growing up in Hawaii, I've always have had a love for Hawaiian dishes and poke just happens to be one of them. There have been a couple of places around town that I have had poke from, but this was the best! The portion size is huge and the fish and veggies were all so fresh. I almost didn't want to want to eat it because it was such a nice presentation. Oh and the pork Lumpia??? Delicious, almost as good as my aunties lol. Definitely worth the value too. They were parked outside of the Lucky Lure, which was a perfect place to enjoy a beer and poke and a Sunday afternoon. I can't wait to go back for more! Craving the Spirit of Aloha? Check them out!

Katjamarie G.

Yelp
Three stars for a poke spot in downtown Orlando. I love poke. I dream of poke. I could probably have poke for every meal! Buuuut I could only have Da Kine's Poke once a day or I will die of acid reflux. I asked if the sriracha salt dressing was spicy, the guy at the counter said not really, and when I had my first bite, my tongue almost ran out of my mouth! ‍ I can handle spice fairly well, but this spiciness level was out of control! It was such a bummer because the savoriness of the dish was all there, super delicious, but super spicy. I went with some fellow helpers and they all said that even their non-spicy bowls were spicy. Not sure if I will be returning to burn my taste buds off again.

Yelp
Da kine poke is a wonderful addition to the vibrant Orlando Food Truck community! The tuna and veggies were super fresh. The rice was perfectly cooked. I especially loved that I was able to season the bowl myself, and that there were multiple options of seaweed and sesame seed blends to choose from! The only caveat I have is, for the price, there should have been a bit more rice to round the dish out and make it more filling. I visited da kine poke while starving, and I definitely did not feel satisfied. However, the proportion of tuna and veggies was about even or more than I was expecting from a food truck, so that helps. Next time I just need some food to help soak up the alcohol from a night on the Mills/50, I will definitely be checking to see if da kine poke is around! Not the best choice for a starving stomach, but definitely the best choice for vibrant and healthy flavors. Update: Gotta love a company that is nice to their reviewers! You heard it from them, if you're dumb like me and forget to eat all day, ask for some extra rice! Five stars from me!

Verónica F.

Yelp
Visited Da Kine Poke for lunch and tried out the Hawaiian Bowl with white rice and ahi tuna. It was very tasty and fresh, but I will say that the bowl had too much onion. When you already have some overpowering ingredients, such as the seaweed and ahi, I'd recommend skipping the onion. Forgot to take a picture of my bowl because I was super hungry!

Lauren H.

Yelp
What a perfect day and perfect food. Da Kine Poke was parked outside of Lucky Lure. The sun was shining, there was a cool breeze, and the reggae was playing. The perfect scenario for a fresh tuna poke bowl. I got the traditional Shoyu tuna bowl on top of mixed greens. (I like to drink my carbs, not eat them.) It was delicious and hit the spot. Fresh tuna, marinated onions, wakame, and avocado on top of mixed spring greens. They also have a variety of toppers for use so I sprinkled mine with some fuikake (toasted nori, sesame seeds, other stuff), some spicy soy, and Sriracha. Noms. They also had some lumpia that my friend got and I tried. Perfectly crispy with 2 different dipping sauces, one sour like vinegar and one spicy. It was the perfect mix. I also like that the food is served in natural, biodegradable bowls. Can't wait to come next Sunday. I want to try their Hawaiian shaved ice :)

Yelp
New Review: These poke bowls are dangerously good. So good that if I didn't leave town I might end up with mercury poisoning. That Ahi Tuna is unreal. I haven't been back in when it's really busy so I can't comment further on the line issue, but I imagine there's a better system out there to handle it. Otherwise, I'm saying a tearful good bye to Da Kine as I strike out across the country. Till we meet again, poke bowl! Old Review: I haven't tried the poke yet. I'm still in line. There's no actual system of how the line works so people just toss their tickets up and he (the only person working here) picks up whichever in no particular order. We've been here a while now getting lapped by everyone who has come behind us. It's unreal that they don't have a better system than this. How about take a number? How about stand in line and hand in your tickets when it's your turn? Are tickets even necessary? On top of it all mise en place wasn't finished so things like green onions are having to be cut as he goes and uncut raw fish is laid out on the counter (not on ice, but waiting to be cut as customers come through). Later: Okay, I can give credit where credit is do - the poke bowl was one of the best I have had. The fish quality is excellent. Very, very good! However, the whole thing was very nearly overshadowed by the struggle just to get our bowls in the store. How frustrating. As a side note this place is INSIDE the Meat House. We looked for it for about 15 minutes last night before calling and finding out they had closed at 7pm. Online hours were wrong. I'm willing to give this place another shot, but they really need to work out a better system and prep needs to be finished before customers arrive. There should also be a sign outside that brings attention to the facethat Da Kine is inside the Meat House and clearly this guy needs help during lunch rush, having a manager hop in here and there to make a bowl or two isn't good enough if they are going to have a line of ten people waiting.

Amazing. What a hidden gem. So fresh and delicious. Loved every bite. Got the Diablo.

Yelp
Da Kine Poke offers pretty decent poke bowls. I think my expectations were high because of the glowing reviews from other Yelpers and I've had some really good poke at another place around town. The main reason for my visit was because I was craving poke and this is the only place that offers it in the Winter Park/Downtown area. They offer their own signature bowls if you want to go that route but I came in and did the "create your own bowl" option. I ordered mine with tuna and loaded it up with rice and veggies. One thing I noticed is how little you get compared to the other place I've been to for about the same cost. The bowl tasted good but I just wasn't blown away from what I ate. Overall, there aren't many places that offer poke so go ahead and give these guys a try and judge for yourself.

Yelp
In the popular Market on Magnolia, DKP makes me happy as an alternative lunch spot. The menu is limited but what they do, they do right, and I am feeling their poke bowls. With options like brown or white rice, a couple of different proteins, and add-ons like avocado and kimchi, if you are interested in sushi type flavors but haven't checked out Da Kine Poke you are missing out. I have been a few times and I can't help it every time I go I need to get the Diablo. It's a poke bowl with ahi tuna, avocado, a siracha salt, your choice of rice, crunchy fried onions, green onions, and spicy mayo. It can get a little hot from the spicy bit with the avocado and rice to calm it down its a throughly enjoyable lunch. My friends have tried others and besides one time where one friend who had no idea what kimchi was and ended up ordering it we have all been happy. FYI You can get fountain soda, water, La Croix, or kombucha with your meal, I recommend something to cool your mouth if you order the diablo. Docked one point for price, because a have a hard time with a $20 workweek lunch without alcohol but that could just be my selections.

Yelp
I love their diablo bowl - it's the perfect spicy lunch. This would be a 5 star glowing review of their employees were nicer. The employees at both locations are just super unfriendly....but the foods good so ‍

Yelp
If I were made of money, I would have a poke bowl from Da Kine Poke delivered to my house every day. This has been on my list for awhile and I got excited to see it on my UberEATS list the other night. I got the spicy tuna bowl and it was phenomenal. Even delivered, it tasted fresh and had the perfect blend of flavors and textures. Light, flavorful, healthy, and so much better than a salad. Gooooooo

Yelp
Best poke (and probably the only poke) in Orlando! It is hidden away in a meat market building and is a bit difficult to find if you don't know what you're looking for. The guy who made my Poke was super cool and gave me extra spicy mayo. He made his own concoction of the original Hawaiian poke and the "el diablo". It was so flavorful and absolutely delicious and next time I am in Orlando, I am nose diving into this place!

Yelp
Located inside the Meat Company, this place has some AMAZING poke bowls! You can completely customize them, with anything from edamame to avocado. The ingredients are super fresh. The bowls are on the pricey side ($13/ $19 for double fish ). The service is quick and friendly. Really great concept, I hope they do well. I'll be back!

Yelp
With plenty of different poke arrangements to chose from. Da kine is a solid poke location in Orlando. They have pre made bowl options that are good however I always like making my own. The only downside to Dakine is that the bowls are not very big and is a bit pricey.

Yelp
The best ahi tuna that I've ever had. The fish just melted in my mouth. I believe that this fish is better here than any restaurants in winter park or Florida.

Yelp
Over priced and extremely salty. I couldn't even eat the bowl because all i could taste was salt.

Yelp
I usually really like Da Kine and go there quite frequently for lunch. While the people are really friendly behind the counter, there seems to be a problem with consistency in the bowls. I usually do the build your own bowl and it seems like a crap shoot as to whether I will actually get all of the ingredients that I choose on the menu. Last time, I didn't get the red bell pepper that I requested or the soy sauce. This time, I didn't get the spicy mayo and only was given about a half cup of rice. Listen, I really hate to complain because - generally speaking - I really like the place. But, getting back to work and being disappointed by my lunch on numerous occasions just sucks, especially for the price. I'll probably give them another chance, but - if it's still not right, it makes me sad to say, that'll be it. I'm not wasting more money on a product that isn't what I'm paying for.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but it was just ok for me. Thought it would of remind me of the awesome poke I had in Hawaii, but it doesn't really come close for me. I ordered the traditional bowl with tuna and I would of preferred the sauce to be mixed with the tuna rather than drizzled on top. The tuna would of absorbed much more flavor that way. The ingredients are fresh which is great. I may visit again but probably only in passing. Went out of the way this time :/

Yelp
Da Kine was amazing! I had the Hawaiian Poke Bowl from the truck at Tasty Tuesday in the Milk District last night, and it was delicious (though I may forgo the onions next time, but only because the taste of everything else was so incredible and the onions were just... well... onions). The fish was fresh and everything was so well-balanced. Loved it! The only thing I was hoping for was more aloha spirit in the service. The lady taking orders was borderline unfriendly (the cook was great, though! very accommodating!), even though I was the only person in line. Overall, though, I would DEFINITELY recommend this truck and hope to visit the shop soon!

Yelp
Fresh tasting flavor and ingredients. I built my own bowl with white rice, both ahi tuna and salmon, scallions, seaweed salad, masago, avocado, mango, cucumber and spicy mayo. The bowl overall was great and perfectly filling for a mid day snack. However, I took away 1 star because of the cutting and dicing of the fish and vegetables. The fish was cut very thick and chunky as opposed to small dicing I'm used to when it comes to poké. The portions (in my opinion) were not bad at all. You definitely get a good amount for what you pay for. Poké is usually on the pricey side because of the quality of fish. I could tell the fish was fresh! Avocado was extra $, alike many other food joints, so that was pretty much expected. Cool spot. Recommended.

Yelp
Honestly best poke in this area. Fish is always fresh. Rice is seasoned perfectly and not bland like other places. They give you a good amount of avocado for $1 extra. Average price for poke and plenty of toppings to choose from. They also have signature bowls, in case you don't want to build your own. I especially love the location in the meat house. Also you can buy sushi grade tuna and salmon from them! Tuna you can find but salmon is pretty rare. So if your in need look no further.
