The 12 Best Hot Pot Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"If you crave spice with a side of more spice, this modern Sichuan spot in Fitzrovia is for you. Da Long Yi is a bright and airy place to gather with loved ones, celebrate something special, and eat your body weight in marbled wagyu beef slices, bouncy shrimp paste, crispy beef tripe, duck blood, and handmade tofu, before giving them a mouth-numbing Sichuan peppercorn and butter bath. Arm yourself with plenty of iced plum juice to combat the heat. And don’t forget the dipping sauces—the garlic, sesame oil, and a touch of vinegar combo is a game-changer." - angela hui

We went as a group of 8 and they had a big table for all of us to eat together. The spicy soup was incredibly spicy, even after removing the chillies and asking for more water to be added it was more spicy than tasty, and we order the least spicy. Be warned! The plates of meat are nicely presented but you don’t get very much. There is a bar area where you can get prawn crackers, sauces and oranges, you are automatically charged per person for this. The vegetable plates were good especially the mushroom plate, highly recommend. We were a bit surprised by the bill which was £260, this was unexpectedly high though accurate. I think there are less expensive hot pot places of equal quality. We had a great time with our dear friends and the food was fun but we will try somewhere else next time. For £260, we expect a lot more food and more options to choose to add to the soup.

One of the most unforgettable dinners I’ve ever had — Dalongyi Hotpot in London truly serves the best hotpot in the world! The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, from the tender beef and crisp vegetables to the perfectly prepared seafood and signature Sichuan broth. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience warm and welcoming from start to finish. This wasn’t just a meal — it was a celebration of flavor and hospitality. Absolutely worth every moment. Highly recommended!

Really great hotpot experience! The meat and vegetables were soo tasty and ordering was very easy; we were given an iPad and then selected what we wanted. They also had a self serve station so we could make our own dipping sauce - they also had the suggested recipes for the tastiest dipping sauces! I would recommend booking ahead of time as it got very busy!

It was my first time having hot pot in London, and it was such a great choice. The menu is really creative with unique and flavorful dishes that keep you coming back for more, and you can create your own dipping sauce! I’m a fan of having a variety of options and loved assembling these dishes and cooking them. Great quality ingredient! The beef and seafood were super fresh and tender. The vibe of the restaurant is great, and it's definitely worth the visit. Located in a central area ( close to Tottenham Court Road station). Highly recommend!

Went in without having reserved yet they were very accommodating and gave us a normal booking length. Food was delicious and workers were very helpful with answering any questions. Took away food we cooked but couldn’t eat. Would definitely go again!

Are you can imagine 1-metre board of meat? It’s about DaLongYi and I’m honestly impressed by how stylish and thoughtfully designed this restaurant— truly one of the most chic Chinese hot pot restaurants I’ve ever experienced. The décor strikes the perfect balance between contemporary and authentic Sichuan vibes, spotlighting fresh ingredients and bold flavours in a beautifully curated space . What sets Dalongyi apart is their interactive and fun Polaroid guest wall at the entrance — every visitor gets their photo taken on-site and displayed on a board. Such a creative, personal touch that immediately charmed me! At the heart of the experience is choosing one, two or even three soup bases for your hot pot — be it spicy scallion‑butter, tomato, mushroom, or classic Da Long Yi signature broth. Watching the soup bubble at your table in real time just makes the meal feel alive . The meats and seafood were next-level fresh and delicious — especially the huge prawns and beautifully marbled cuts of beef and pork. The juicy, tender quality is exactly what I look for in top-tier hot pot. The dumplings were also standout: perfectly bite‑sized, flavorful, and ideal sharing plates. This place works brilliantly for both friendly dinners and business lunches. A detail that really stood out? After the meal, they offer a special mouthwash rinse — perfect if you enjoy spicy flavours but don’t want lingering breath before heading into a meeting. Such a thoughtful gesture that shows genuine care for guest comfort.

The best hotpot I had in London, really good quality of meat and the rest Ingredients, prawn was super fresh, frozen tofu was really fresh too, overall 100% !! And we are Chinese, so for us this is an outstanding hotpot ! Ok now I’m edited the review because we want to go back and tried to book a table, the guy on the phone was really rude and we still showed up, he is actually really even more rude in person so bye , we won’t go back here ever again
