We got the set for two and honestly left very full. The fried egg was a surprise favorite, and the fatty beef cooked beautifully in the spicy broth. Even the vegetables tasted fresh and clean. The place feels like a proper Chinese hot pot restaurant — warm lighting, busy atmosphere, and fast service. Nothing fancy, just focused on the food. Went on a Wednesday night around 6:30, and there were plenty of empty tables. We ordered the Lightly Spicy Beef Tallow Soup and the Mushroom Broth. I really liked the spicy beef — the heat level was just right: spicy, but you could still taste the sweetness of the soup. Loved it. We also ordered the One-Meter Beef & Lamb Platter, Pork Brain, Veggie Platter, Ramen, and Fish Balls. It was more than enough for two people, and the meats were nice and fresh. That said, I didn’t enjoy the service that much. The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful. When the bill came, we were charged four times for the sauce bar, so I had to point it out and ask them to correct it. The food itself was good, but the service could definitely be better

A great place in London, if you want to get food poisoning. Went there with family and payed £100+ for 3 persons. Staff smiles, but is not helpful. Made us wait for a table when the lower part of the restaurant was empty (sticky toilets are downstairs, so good luck if you have problems with stairs). Choosing what you want to eat is in an old tablet, that at some point stops being in English. Staff also don't really speaks any English. Food comes raw and you need to prepare it, which might mean having your hands in raw meat (skewers). The shopsticks are dirty and so was the serving spoon. I was sick 30mins after I left the restaurant (with actual vomit going to my throat) and still feeling sick the day after. My wife barely slept that night as her stomach was really upset. 12% automatic service tip (that was probably written in the menu in Korean). Mid spicy is let's see how many peri peri we can stick in there and not spicy is let's just make them sweat it a bit. I'm sure there are great hot pot restaurants out there, but this is not one of them. Not going back there.

Da Long Yi Hot Pot is one of the best hot pot experiences I’ve had in London. The restaurant is dog-friendly, which is already a huge plus, and the atmosphere is lively and festive, especially during the Christmas season. We tried the Christmas special beef “windmill” platter, and it was amazing — beautifully presented, super tender, and perfect in the spicy broth. The boneless chicken feet were a surprise highlight as well; cooked in the spicy soup, they were soft, flavourful, and seriously addictive. Don’t skip the tomato soup base. Adding fried egg and youtiao (Chinese fried dough) was a game changer — they soak up the tomato broth perfectly and taste rich but not heavy. Drinks were also better than expected. The house-made drinks were refreshing, and you can order alcohol too. Strong Zero paired surprisingly well with hot pot, especially when things get very spicy. Overall, great food, good drinks, and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend if you’re craving proper Sichuan hot pot in London — especially around Christmas.

Really enjoyed my meal at Da Long Yi London! The beef wheel, goose intestines, yam, and brown sugar mochi were all delicious. The tomato broth and butter spicy broth were super flavourful and paired perfectly with everything we ordered. Great service and a cosy atmosphere as well. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to for hotpot!
