I had the bánh mì with steak —absolutely delicious! The bread was fresh, the steak was tender and flavorful, and the seasoning was spot on.

Amazing food! I would highly recommend this place! Especially if you’re looking for something different to eat. Very reasonably priced. Very tasty and a must have in Bend!

It sounds like this food truck is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're looking for a quick and tasty banh mi. The positive aspects of the menu, service, and food quality make it a promising option.

My favorite food truck in Bend. My only regret is that it’s not open more days and longer hours. Love the chicken bahn mi sandwiches. Take it across the parking lot to eat inside the brewery tasting room if it’s a super hot afternoon. Otherwise, you can walk deeper into the far end of the parking lot and enter a grassy area with facilities for picnics (but the restaurant beepers don’t work that far away, so wait until you have your food first.)

Whatever marinade they use for their chicken was incredible! Also, the bagguette was great! I'm not a banh mi expert, but that was a great sandwich.

Da Nang is a food truck permanently (?) located outside of the Deschutes Bend Tasting Room & Beer Garden. To order, you pick your protein (chicken, steak, or tofu) and pick your boat (rice, noodles, baguette, or salad). Current prices are $14 for chicken or tofu and $16 for steak. I tried the chicken baguette option (a self described banh mi) which came with cucumbers, pickled carrots and daikon, and garlic aioli sauce. In my experience, a banh mi is commonly made with pork and pate. Obviously, Da Nang can serve whatever food they want; I'm not making a claim about authenticity. But, I think their sandwich would have been better with these ingredients. The sandwich was good but not great. The baguette was very good -- crusty on the outside but soft on the inside. The flavors were good, but relied heavily on the garlic aioli to pull it together. The chicken was a little dry without the aioli. When I got all the ingredients together in one bite, it was pretty good, but the sandwich size/shape made this difficult. IMO It tasted more like a "chicken and pickled vegetables" sandwich than a banh mi. Service was friendly. It took about 10 minutes to get the sandwich and they gave me a buzzer to tell me when it was ready.

This sandwich is unique compared to the traditional Vietnamese sandwich but In the best way. Definitely a must try!

The best Bahn Mi I've had in a long time! I've always heard good things about the sandwiches here, but after listening to a co-worker rave about them, we had to hit them up. My buddy ordered a steak Bahn Mi and I ordered the chicken and we split them so we could both try both. I started with the chicken. The bread had a great crunch to it with a soft interior. The vegetables were aplenty and had a really nice brightness with a subtle sweetness. You can see from the pic there were so many vegetables, I was afraid the sandwich was going to be mostly veggies, but as I worked my way down the sandwich, I realized there was a healthy portion of the chicken. The chicken was so tender and moist. The hot sauce blended so well with the other ingredients. The steak Bahn Mi was pretty similar, although we both picked up more spice from the steak than the chicken. While they were both good, the chicken was the winner for me. Overall, a really good sandwich at a fair price. I'll definitely be back and will be ordering the chicken again for sure!

I wanted to give a better rating for the Da Nang Food Truck, but a couple of disappointing factors made the lunch a "3-star" for me. First of all the good...the service was fast and friendly and the price reasonable for the lunch. I had the Steak Baguette aka "Bo Banh Mi". The sandwich was "OK", but the steak was kinda tough and "chewy"...not so great, sorry about that! The "Food Court" itself for "Dine In" was pretty non-existent. There is "Bar Seating" for eight folks outside, so that's about it. We had our canines with us, so needed to sit outside. We ate up in the grassy area, maybe called the "Beer Garden" (?) and sat at one of two (wet) picnic tables to eat. So, all in all, maybe good for a "Take-Out" meal, but no so great for a "Dine-In" experience. Maybe we missed the inside seating, but with the dogs that's not an option for us.

Visited Bend this week and decided to stop by after a day of floating down the river. I tried the chicken Banh Mi- it was filled with perfectly pickled vegetables and lean, flavorful chicken. This was the BEST banh mi I've ever had! Everything was spot on I wish I lived closer otherwise I'd definitely be a regular here. Also, friendly & quick service. Do not pass on this place!!

Hands-down, my favorite meal in town. Bonus that it also happens to be a food truck and the owners are lovely. Order the noodles with the lemongrass beef and you won't regret it--You can thank me later!

My wife and I have eaten here a number of times. The Pho soup is always fresh and well prepared. The vegetables, noodles and herbs are fresh. The service is great and the staff is attentive and friendly. The ambiance is average in my opinion. The dining area was clean and the restroom was clean as well.

A must try in Bend! We stopped by here while at Deschutes Brewery. I ordered the steak + baguette (their steak Bahn Mi) and was blown away by the flavor and freshness. Perfect ratio of meat to veggies to bread. Definitely come here if you're craving a bahn mi

Some of the best food you'll find in bend. The meats are incredible and they've really nailed everything. I try to get the steak salad as much as possible bc it's healthy yet so satisfying. Cannot recommend enough!!

I cant keep it to myself..i have to tell somebody...this truck has a pretty solid banh mi. Ive only gotten food here once but i was a little worried about the hugh price but its packed and filling. The bread itself has a nice chew and isnt too dense. Theres an abundance of carrot (mostly) and sporadic daikon mixed in. And there was enough chicken oer bite. It came with a side of fish sauce which added additional flavor. Ordering: choose a protein which determines the price and then choose rice, vermicelli, banh mi or salad as the base. Prices range from about $13-15. It does take time for them to make it..about 15min when it was semi busy. Id definitely return.

Da Nang is so, so good. I've gotten the Tofu Banh Mi a few times and it is consistently delicious. The tofu is well seasoned and the flavors from the other ingredients really make it pop. And the bread is the perfect blend of crispy and soft. 5 stars - definitely worth a try.

Steak Bo Banh Mi is worth the trip imho. Parked right in front of the Deschutes Brewery. Highly recommended!

I came back in less than a week of visiting this food truck. I ordered the salad with tofu and appreciated the fact that they asked if fish sauce was okay. When I returned again, I had the same dish but asked for it super soicy and they delivered. If you don't like spicy, you just skip the hot sauce. but if you do, it is delicious! My hubby had the chicken Bahn Mi. The staff is friendly, and the service is great. They are currently in the Deschutes Brewery parking lot with another food truck, and close to the beer garden. They are open from Wed to Saturday.

I had the chicken Banh mi sandwich. The bread had a crisp crust and the sandwich had a generous amount of chicken, fresh cucumber, carrots and herbs with a delicious dressing. The service was very friendly and we sat at outside tables beside the brewery. This was my second time eating there. We had an enjoyable walk from the Old Mill district to Da Nang for a yummy lunch.

After being in Ho Chi Minh City for work, I fell in love with Vietnamese flavors. If you're looking for authentic noodle and Ban Mi, look no further, amazing! DK and James are kind and great operators to boot!

We originally found this food truck in Eugene at the Wine LAB. It was our first time for Vietnamese food and they were amazing and I've been hooked ever since. They have been the benchmark for all others. We found them once again while we were in Bend at Deschutes Brewery. We got the steak bahn mi and the steak vermicelli bowl. Both were amazing and the steak was the most tender I've ever had. I'm so glad we were able to experience their amazing food again!

After a coworker told me about this food truck, I had to try it. So glad I did. I chose the noodles as my base and chicken as a protein. Everything was so fresh and had really great flavor. Absolutely loved my meal and had to return for a second go round. I took my food to go both times so I'm not sure about seating and ambiance. Employees were helpful and prices were reasonable. Great place!

Before I moved to Bend, I ate banh mi's pretty regularly. I have missed it so much, but now I don't need to! This place is legit! Super authentic flavors, it is bomb bomb! Highly recommend and will be back!

Best bánh mì I've ever had! The bread was pillowy-soft and soaked up all the sauces and flavor, the chicken was perfectly charred and marinated, and it was loaded with fresh veggies and toppings. 10/10.

Just had a tofu baguette (bhan mi). It was soo good!! Life changing. The tofu was warm and fresh with spicy peanut sauce, loaded with veggies, and the bread was warm and soft which is great not too chewy!! Didn't take a picture of it unfortunately.

Authentic and delicious. Service and food is top notch. The steak banh mi will have you thinking about it all day. Everything is fairly priced (compared to the typical outrageous food truck prices in Bend). Their flavors will leave you wanting more. Ambiance is nice with Deschutes Brewery next door. Best in town.

Really, these are the nicest people making some of the best food truck items in town. We had the steak and chicken baguettes (banh mi) and they were fantastic.

FINALLY!! a real banh mi in this town called Bend! I got the chicken banh mi and glad I did. it also has a nice kick after every bit! the sign of a true Vietnamese sandwich! KUDOS DA NANG!!! THANK YOU!!!! Reminds me of the sandwiches back home in San Jose, CA!

Don't pay any attention to their posted hours, because they're very unlikely to be open when they claim they'll be open. Food is good, and I'd be a regular customer, but they're always closed. I check their hours before I go down only to find them closed, even when they claim they're open. They've lost my business permanently. I tell anyone interested to skip this place because they troll their potential customers with false hours listed. They only want to be there Friday nights and Saturdays. Waste of time.

I had the noodle/salad prepared with tofu. I asked for Vegan, and that was no problem. Simply one of the best Vietnamese food experiences I have ever had. Simple, High Quality food! If you care about what goes in your body, This is a must try! Very affordable,and ample portion size. Nice work guys!!!!

My meal was INCREDIBLE. I ate there for dinner one day ago and am craving it again. Perfect combo of rice, tofu, fresh veggies and sauce. Cooked to perfection as well. Very polite and friendly employees too, which is very refreshing.

I fell in love with Da Nang in Eugene, OR when I went to UO. Every time I went back to visit I would go. When I heard they were opening one in Bend I went out of my way to go get it! I always order two items so I would have leftovers. The food is so flavorful and high quality! Definitely, a must-try if you're in Bend! I wish I could eat it every day!
