"Formerly a post house, today this is a characteristic restaurant with bedrooms available; the dining room is developed along the two wings with a veranda. Cuisine consists of many Ligurian specialities. Overnight section with classic cut rooms in the main body, stylish and modern in the annexe." - Michelin Inspector

I always go to Da Ö Vittorio when I’m in Recco, and it never disappoints. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. This time, I started with their famous focaccia al formaggio, a true specialty of the house. It was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy on the outside and irresistibly creamy on the inside. For my main course, I had a beautifully presented salmon dish with senso and edible flowers. The flavors were refined and well-balanced, making every bite a pleasure. To finish, I enjoyed a cup of ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the service is always attentive and welcoming. If you’re in Recco, Da Ö Vittorio is a must-visit!

Had a great dinner but the waitress seemed overwhelmed and stressed with only a few tables, the food was really good and fairly priced.

Absolutely amazing focaccia there! The Waiter was friendly, professional and helpful. We had a Recco Focaccia that was to die for. He could speak Spanish, English and understand some french. The restaurant is beautiful and easy to find

We went there to get the focaccia after being recommended by a friend. It was delicious! The rest of the food (different pasta dishes) and the wine do also deserve praise. Lastly our waiter was a delight, very competently giving advice about the menu and serving the food, while also charmingly entertaining all the guests. Recommended!

We stumbled upon Da O Vittorio restaurant by chance while exploring neighbourhood area. The restaurant offers true Recco food experience. You will not be able to try their cheese focaccia anywhere else, even in Recco. All the dishes are prepared individually, so be ready to enjoy your wait while sipping on one of the wines from their extensive wine list, Barolo or otherwise. Owned by twin brothers, Da O Vittorio is a hidden gem. It has been a part of Michelin guide for the last few years for a good reason. The dishes are well-portioned and well-priced. Their wait staff goes above and beyond making your dining experience perfect, even with a bit of language barrier. Absolutely recommended.

Food was delicious , for real marvellous ! All was magnificent ! However if you are familiar with Italian food and service ;) Nevertheless the coffee at the end was awful as hell..! But rest 10 out of 10 I will eat that again! + both owners (brothers) was all the time working during the service, serving soo well! Extraordinary experience - Highly recommended ☺️

This restaurant was recommended to us by our Air B&B hosts, and it is also in some Michelin reviews. So while not having any Michelin stars, it sounded like it would be a great place to have dinner. We arrived early in the evening, so we got to pick where we anted to sit. We sat upstairs on the outdoor porch, which was nice. Our server was friendly and patient with our poor Italian. We ordered 8 oysters for the table to share. The first one each of us had was great: fresh, clean, salty sea water with a little bit of meaty umami. My friend and I took a second one and we encountered a completely different story: upon the first bite, my mouth was coated in a putrid rancidness. I might have well have slurped a large spoonful of raw sewage because it tasted exactly how that smells. After spitting that one out, we smelled the remaining oysters, and they all smelled funky. We told our server that they had gone bad, and I went to wash the stink of sewage off my hands. To my surprise, when I returned, a new plate of oysters was on the table. We were hesitant to try them, but after giving one a smell test, we tried it and... it was a good one. The next one passed the smell test too, but it tasted a little funky. After that, we decided not to gamble with the oysters, and it even called into question the freshness of the seafood entrees we had ordered. Thankfully our entrees tasted fine, but our stomachs were soured by the oyster experience, and we were worried about food poisoning. At least now I know what a bad oyster tastes like. If you want to eat the real focaccia al formaggio, you need to try this restaurant Close to the center of Recco, their cuisine is typical of Liguria. Pesto and salsa di noci were absolutely delicious. Service fast and polite. Suggested

Yelp
Probably one of the most recommended restaurants in Recco, i had this in my list for a long time, but for one reason or another we never tried it. Yesterday night was the night, the first choice restaurant, a very convenient pizza place in Camogli nearby our place, was closed, so we decided to try out O Vittorio. What a great experience! Everything was delicious. Special mention to the focaccia col formaggio, a little masterpiece. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Should I ever have the opportunity to return to Recco, I will surely be dining here. Our server and service was excellent and entertaining! This family and the workers are a hoot and such lovely people. The food was excellent, the atmosphere as inviting and truly made me feel like I was truly vacationing in Italy. Stop by and give this lovely gem a try.

Yelp
Last summer (2010) was my first trip to Italy. It was so hot and humid I could barely breath. But Italy is nothing less that spectacular either way. Anyway, my friend took me here for lunch. I was still hung over from drinking too much wine the night before but we were very hungry. We ordered cool, crisp white wine to cure the hang over and the heat. He ordered for us and to my surprise, 2 different appetizers appeared. One was a light and flaky dough that had puffed up in the oven. When it was cut open, warm gooey cheese oozed out of that beautiful pastry. The second was my favorite thing. Probably one of the best things I've ever eaten and dream about. Focaccia di Recco. Paper thin dough filled with beautiful stracchino cheese that is not skimped on, baked in a very high heat oven until the cheese is bubbling and the dough is crispy. It's PERFECTION! I could eat this for the rest of my life easily. And as I hear it, Vittorio's is the place to get this devine creation. Make sure you order it and you will not be disappointed. We also had beautiful pastas with amazing sauces. One of which was a walnut sauce. Really delicious! I really hope you have the chance to visit this restaurant. It's very much what I think an Italian restaurant that's been around for several hundred years should be like. The inside dotted with old and new furnishings and the food... YUM!
