What a wonderful experience on our last day in Lisbon! At first, we thought they were closed. But then one of the staff came out to greet us and explain the menu to us. It was important to them that we understood how it works and we were excited for the experience! The staff was so attentive and personable, speaking English and Spanish as well. The food came out quickly and was so delicious. All the ingredients were disclosed to us beforehand, and everything was exquisite. If you are looking for a quick lunch, are picky, or are someone who typically asks for substitutions, etc., this is not the place for you. This is for someone who is respectful of traditions, culture, what the restaurant has to offer, and open to experience. Order the octopus risotto, goat croquettes, and the venison (tastes like steak!) Note that there is a 2 tapas/dish per person minimum. It was so worth it for 3 of us to share 6 different dishes! Our bellies were full and content!

Hands down the best meal we had. Stumbled upon this place and are so glad we did. Don’t let the rope across the door fool you. They are open. The door guy lets you in once he explains how it works- it’s a tapas style restaurant with a minimum order of 2 plates per person. They are portioned right so it is not too much. You are satisfied, not stuffed. We ordered the fresh scallops, the goats meat croquettes, the octopus risotto and roasted veggies. Ended with a chocolate mousse dessert. Everything was so incredibly good. Don’t make substitutions- just order what’s there and let them explain it all to you. The flavors are incredible. We are very likely to return tomorrow on our last night here. I don’t think any other restaurant could compare! (The scallops had 3- just a little late taking a photo )

The place is small and there is always a small queue outside. Despite the queue being not too long the wait can be long (30-45 minutes). Let me tell you though, it is absolutely worth it. After spending few days in Lisbon and tried different restaurants this for we was the best. The concept is small plates, in an alternative vintage settings. Hospitality was top notch. The waiter was very attentive and precise in describing every single dish. The tuna steak was my absolute favourite. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The roasted veggies were interesting and tasty. The prawns were an absolute banger, salty, garlicky and a little bit spicy. We also had a cod dish, which was maybe the less exciting of them all, but still good. Perfect wine recommendation as well. This is a place I want to go back and definitely recommend.

Google
This is definitely a tourist spot but it is well worth it. Not a single Portuguese local inside, and the prices are a bit higher than average, but it was an excellent experience from beginning to end! Service was bang on from the beginning to end, and super welcoming. Lots of smiles and banter, and the server seemed very enthusiastic about the food. It's great to see that in a restaurant. The atmosphere was really great as well. Lots of people seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Every dish was DELECTIBLE (except for one, the peixinhos da horta). So perfectly cooked and seasoned, and served beautifully. Flavours really popped on every dish. The meat (both the beef and pork cheek) was insanely tender and juicy, they cooked the beef exactly as I requested. The fish was ultra fresh. All the various croquettes were melt-in-your-mouth. Drinks were reasonably priced, and bar service was fast. Unfortunately, that day they didn't have the scallops, but I will be back again at some point and hopefully have better luck! If you are a tourist, it's definitely one of the best choices for very high-quality tapas/petiscos, if price and a little bit of a wait isn't a big deal.

Google
The food was amazing. Especially the special of the day (sardines). The highlight was the staff, who were very professional and friendly. They carefully explained how every dish we ordered was prepared and they made us feel very welcome by doing some small talk. So in short, 10/10.

Google
First night out in Lisbon, and it couldn’t have started any better! The staff was super friendly and professional! After explaining how their restaurant works (1 plate = half a portion, 2 plates per person minimum, and dont forget to share ;), we were sat very quickly and got the menus. After choosing 4 dishes, the staff explained how the dishes are made and where they originated from. When the dishes were served we were stunned. Every dish was just perfect! It was so good that we ordered a 5th dish as well! 10/10 for both service and the food!! We will definitely be eating here again this week!

Google
We had such a great meal at da Prata 52—definitely one of our favorites in Lisbon. The tapas were super creative and so good! We loved the scallops, goat meat croquettes, tuna tartare, and the sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. Plus dessert here is a must! Each dish had its own unique twist. The vibe was cozy and relaxed, and the people there are incredible. If you're in Lisbon and want a fun spot with awesome food, this place is a must!

Google
We had an absolute amazing dinner and experience here. The servers were so kind and guided us through the whole menu. Honestly can say this was the best food we had in our whole trip of Lisbon. Definitely coming back :)

Yelp
Such a great find in Lisbon, one of our fave dinners in the city. Food was amazing, service was fun (shoutout to Hugo and gents), and the space was cozy and intimate. Highly recommend: - steak daprata- rare steak and a cured egg yolk was delicious - chorizo with orange marmalade, grilled almost table side - ceviche - nice and fresh - grilled shrimp was nice and garlicky - salted codfish croquettes - pumpkin tart dessert Hugo gave a great reco for a dry white wine. Vibes were great!

Yelp
DaPrata52 has a super cute vibe with an interesting interior design, but that's about where the positives end. On the day we visited, the restaurant was not very busy, yet the wait for the food was slow. Adding to the frustration, you have to pay for water, and they don't even offer tap water for free. A major point to note is that they expect you to order at least two dishes per person, which was a bit surprising. We took the waiter's suggestion and ordered the Goat Meat Croquettes with Sweet Chili Sauce (his personal favorite), along with Sirloin Steak and Sauteed Vegetables. The Goat Meat Croquettes were a letdown. Despite the intriguing name, they were just fried shredded goat meat with a bland chili sauce. They were edible, but definitely not worth the hype or the price. The Sirloin Steak, however, was a pleasant surprise--it was cooked perfectly and came with a nice egg yolk on top, along with thinly sliced potatoes. The steak itself was delicious, but the potatoes were overly salty and made it hard to enjoy the final bites. The Sauteed Vegetables were pretty mediocre. The presentation was nice with thinly sliced veggies arranged neatly, but the taste was underwhelming and did not stand out in any way. Overall, the meal was expensive and did not live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend daPrata52 based on this experience and wouldn't return.

Yelp
It's our 3rd night in Lisbon and been trying highly recommended places but definitely found a needle in a haystack...by far, the food and service here were truly impeccable.... delicious, savory, and flavorful. The ambibiance is rustic but appealing with a homey vibe Kudos gentlemen, thank you for an amazing experience!

Yelp
What an amazing experience! We are staying down the street and wandered in on vibes. The food is exceptional! Fresh seafood (get the specials!) delicious offerings, great tapas portions and a tremendous knowledge of local wines. Also? Kid friendly. My son learned a lot from our amazing server and we will likely be back during our stay.

Yelp
4.6 on yelp, 4.7 on google and tripadvisor with thousands of reviews. never have i been catfished so hard by a restaurant. Based on the reviews we were expecting something phenomenal and got something incredibly sub mediocre. This is the first time i've ate out and not finished my food in probably 5 years. Service was great though and our servers were very tentative. We ordered the ... tomatoes and cheese 7/10-- probably one of best dishes we had overall but still not stand out. sides of tomatoes were under salted and lacked flavor. flavor was only in the very middle of the dish for some reason mushrooms 3/10-- underwhelming. i don't even know what to say about it. mushrooms should have a very easy umami that comes out if you cook it right and it was not there. mushy sauce and mushy mushrooms goat meat croquettes 5/10-- just a crunchy goat meat ball that was and well cooked. the relish or stuff it came with was good but the flavors just didn't mesh well together and nothing stood out about it pica pau 7/10 -- most flavorful and, best tasting thing but unfortunately was heavily over salted. also needed some kind of carb to carry the sauce -- side of rice or something codfish cake 3/10 -- super spongey greasy and not crunchy, the sauce was good but it was so bland-- 75% starch and can barely taste the fish. Had some at another place and these taste like a westerner tried to make this without knowing what they're making. scallops 6/10 -- cooked and salted very well. the other stuff it came with just didn't synthesize well with the dish the peas felt out of place and just bland mush to eat with it.

Yelp
Food: Loved all the tapas my friend and I ordered! They also seem to have specials and desserts that are not written in the menu anywhere so make sure to ask the server! Cost: All the dishes were reasonably priced! Great way to try a variety of dishes without breaking the bank! Its even better if you can find a +1 so you can order double the amount to try even more at once! Environment: Lots of seating available, a little dark in regards to lighting but the food tastes great! Service: Things were brought out as they were ready. Found the service fairly quick and well paced. Did not feel like I was waiting forever to get our dishes to be served. Uniqueness: A fantastic tapas restaruant that my friend was excited to bring me to since she visited last time and had such a great experience and I was not disappointed!

Yelp
We are just leaving the restaurant right now. We're making reservations to come back tomorrow.! Yes it's that good! I never do this, but the temporary green beans and mushrooms on mashed potatoes or recommended by the waiter and to die for. My husband who doesn't care for vegetables, said the temporary green beans were one of the best dishes he's ever tasted in his life! We also had the sea dahi in an incredible sauce, which he loved as well in the shrimp with heads on in a delectable sauce! To note, each person needs to order two appetizers, which are fairly small . It's perfect in my opinion, but we are fairly light eaters. Someone who eats more may want to order two more than two appetizers per person. Service was excellent and the house light line was incredible! I don't drink wine in the United States, but this wine does not give me a headache .

Yelp
de Prata was a recommendation from a family member who lives in Lisbon. This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Their food and service are very impressive.

Yelp
My wife found this place as we are staying near by. What a gem! Outstanding service, fresh food, no wait. Excellent. The only 'complaint': if you see an American credit card, please don't ask for a tip. Just saying
google avatar

Yelp
It's slightly intimidating when they meet you at the door and explain their "system" (2 tapas minimum per person), but it's warm and friendly from there, with great food, smart wine pairing, and definitely the best coffee we found during our four days in Lisbon. A tangible passion for good food, and an interesting mix of music (not too loud, thank you) tops off the ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
I can't say enough about this place! We showed up around 5:30/6 and it was still quiet. They explain the service before you enter. You have to order a minimum of two dishes per person. So the 4 of us got 8 different dishes to try and it was a combo of the vegetarian, fish and meat. The service was amazing and my family and I had so much fun and absolutely loved every dish we got! Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
They are the best Services is very good and the foods are superb So it's one of the best place as a restaurant in Lisbon

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! Our favorite restaurant while visiting for a month in Lisboa. Open for both lunch and dinner. Fantastic wine selection. THE best cod fish cakes! Great texture. Nothing like the touristy ones around town, thankfully. Tapas style so try everything. Our favorites were the amazing ceviche, seared octopus, steak skewers, purple bread with delicious olive oil, an amuse bouche of a curried vegetable fritter, and a variety of croquettes. In a very busy area surrounded by overpriced touristy restaurants . Do yourself a favor and skip those for this affordable gem. Worth the wait if there is a line. Service was quick and super friendly and it was nice that they remembered us and warmly greeted us on our return visits. Our bottle of wine, 5 tapas plus bread less that 55€.

Yelp
Simply put - amazing. Go here. All of the reviews for this place are spot on - some of the most incredible seafood dishes I've had, and a low key, unpretentious atmosphere. All of the pulpo dishes in particular were phenomenal, but everything on the menu truly was delicious. This is Michelin-quality food, but without the price tag. It's a smaller restaurant, so I would recommend calling ahead for a reservation, or be prepared to wait a bit for seating.

Yelp
Last week while vacationing in Lisbon my brother suggested we try this tapas restaurant and it did not disappoint. The host explained each dish in detail...down to the spices, which I greatly appreciated. Before I get into the food I think it's important to note that everyone we interacted with had such a great personality. The customer service was phenomenal. Now the food, everything we tried was delicious, the rabbit samosas, the sausage with orange sauce, the fried chicken, the risotto, and the star of the show the beef tips/ bites...don't recall the exact name but it was in a garlic and herb sauce that knocked it out the park. It was truly a delightful experience.

Yelp
Incredible food, truly the highlight of our time in Lisbon. They keep a rope in front of the door so they can set expectations for the dining experience before you begin. But once that is set, you're off on an amazing culinary experience. Everything we ate was magnificent but we especially enjoyed the shrimp. The sauce it is cooked in is good enough to drink.

James R.

Yelp
We voted this our best meal in Portugal. I continue to be amazed at the ambience of Lisbon and the general positive vibes of the people there. This place stood out. We stood in a short line and sat up the stairs at a table for 2. One of us is vegetarian, one an omnivore, both had plenty of great options. The flight of Port wine was great for me. The staff took the time to explain the 4 options and their significance. The owner spent time with us suggesting places to see, the waiter (really so much more) took the time to share his experiences. Just a great place. 5 star food 5 star ambience 5 star staff. Parabens

Paul M.

Yelp
The quality of the food was incredible. Everything was so fresh. We ended up trying six dishes. They were all incredible. The staff explained everything to us. We loved it.

Yelp
It was an amazing culinary experience! From the time we arrived the hospitality was genuine by all of the staff! We had 9 amazing Tapas plates, a jug of house white wine & a list delicious dessert! Don't miss this fantastic establishment!

Yelp
We found this place from another review and I am SO glad we came. They have a 2 tapas per person minimum so my friend and I got 4 between us and it was the perfect amount of food. The spicy lentil balls were incredible, our waiter recommended them to us and they did not disappoint. The octopus risotto was also a MUST TRY!

Mia V.

Yelp
Fantastic. Every dish was amazing, I couldn't pick which I liked the best. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved that we were able to try a little bit of everything. I'm only in Lisbon for 3 days but I might go back I!

Yelp
Every dish was great. You won't be disappointed. Yelp needs 85 characters to post this.

Yelp
Came at 5:30pm on Friday and had no wait and still not full when we left an hour later. The staff was very helpful with the menu and recommendations. We enjoyed the shrimp and cod cakes best. 72€ for 4 tapas (minimum is 4) and 4 wines (5€ each)

Yelp
This place in Lisbon is simply amazing. Not to mention the food which I will describe later in that review, but the staff and atmosphere are awesome. The minute we walked in to this restaurant we already new it was going to be a great food experience. Our server explained to us the idea of tapas plating and the orders meant to be shared. He also proposed to us the special which were the scallops and OMG , we are so glad we took them We tried two types of croquetes : with goat meat and with wild meat made of wild game. Cannot say which ones were more delicious as both types were great, goat meat had more deep flavor where wild meat was more delicate but also intense. Octopus was fantastic served with some kind of ratatoulie and fresh tomatoes. The server also gave us amouse bouche which was definitely a nice gesture. They have a craft beer and very good selection of wines and we tried both. And finally : the SCALLOPS absolutely the best scallops we have ever eaten, the delicate flavor served on a bed of peas puree was absolutely AMAZING. The freshness of the scallops was absolutely superb as our server told us they were caught in the morning and that they do not always have them in special. We are so glad we caught that moment :) Da Prata 52 is a delicious stop when exploring Lisbon, avoid those overcrowded places on main street with medicore food, this is real Portugese experience!!

Trevor W.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned the following evening! The décor is certainly quirky and the staff are fun (and spoke such excellent English!). We were impressed that they took the time to explain each dish and its ingredients. Our favorites were the pork cheeks, rabbit samosas and the foie gras, but everything we ate on both nights was delicious. You may have to wait in line for a table if you eat later, but it's worth the wait! Highly recommended!

Yelp
This place had lots of great reviews so we wanted to try it for ourselves! We able to get seated right away around 6:20 PM on a Tuesday night, and there were still a few empty tables. Service was very friendly and they gave us recommendations and explained all of the dishes to us when we ordered. The food was something you would get from a Michelin starred restaurant. The presentation and flavor profiles were not your typical tapas as these seemed more upscale and fancier. We each got two tapas per person, as well as drinks and a dessert. I personally loved the cod cakes, duck in red wine, roasted vegetables, and the biscuit coffee cake. Drinks are also tasty as well! The mojito and white sangria were very refreshing.

Chikin J.

Yelp
We found restaurant through Yelp positive reviews. The hosts / waiters were super nice and informative. He recommended 2 dishes per person. We ordered 6 dishes: tuna and swordfish device, 2 different octopus dishes, steak dish, beef dish, and vegetarian dish. The dishes were all decent; unfortunately, I was disappointed because I was expecting significantly better flavors. I found the dishes a bit salty and too saucy. Maybe this is considered good Portuguese food and I'm not familiar with the flavors. Overall, we spent over 90 Euros for only a decent meal. So this was a miss for me. I had higher expectations.
google avatar

Thea C.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants we tried in Lisbon! There was a line to get in. The restaurant is split level. If you wanted to order just a snack, they will let you sit on the lower level with the smaller tables; otherwise if you wanted two dishes or more, they will let you sit in the upper level. We were so hungry so we decided to eat dinner and order 4 entrees and wine! We ordered a mixture of everything as we were enjoying the first two days of our Portugal trip. We ordered a variety - beef, chicken tenders, octopus in pea sauce and shrimp! I personally liked the chicken, octopus and shrimp!!! Wasn't really a fan of the beef which was served stew-like, plus I couldn't chew properly! The wine was amazing!!! The decor is so cute as well - filled with old school electronic! The servers were so nice and friendly! They also have a restroom available in the lower level. The ambience was romantic and cozy! Highly suggest you try this! The line is worth it!!! Makes your vacation to Lisbon more special!!!

Lisa C.

Yelp
The decoration is very retro. Food is tapas style. The waiter described all the dishes in detail. We enjoyed every dish. My favorite were pork cheek-11/10, steak, and swordfish. Service was also great. I highly recommend this restaurant. My favorite in Lisbon so far.
google avatar

Lissa E.

Yelp
We really enjoyed dePrata52. The food was great. We especially liked the scallops and goat croquettes. The service was also great. Get there by 7 or be prepared to wait!
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
I came here because I wanted to try churrico assado (flaming chorizo). Since we wanted a full meal, we ordered 2 plates per person, which is the minimum required to get seating on their main floor. The beef cheeks were super tender, and the codfish croquettes were hot and freshly made. I think the chorizo on fire was a nice show but it's a little on the chewier/tough side.
google avatar

Ashutosh P.

Yelp
Average food. Not much to write about. The service, however was horrible. It's almost as if the hosts were intentionally trying to be rude Towards the end, I eventually asked the guy as to why were they being so argumentative? Defies logic. As a restauranter, they should know that people go out to have a nice dining experience. The way the hosts behave have a big role to play towards that end

Yelp
We have had our eye on daPrata52 for better than a year. It was a Lisbon bucket list restraint when we were planning a trip that was postponed due to the pandemic, and expectations had built. It did not disappoint! We walked into daPrata and were immediately greeted by the amazing staff and a great atmosphere. The menu was spectacular and we needed some wine to go with the meal. We talked through the menu with our superbly helpful waiter who was all set to help us choose a bottle of wine. After a quick chat he said let me get our expert. We had a wonderful conversation about wine options and were recommended a superb old vine read from the coast. Spectacular local choice!!! The stars of this show were the black pork cheek, so tender it melted I your mouth, with a red wine reduction and potato purée. The swordfish and tuna ceviche was spectacularly fresh with just the right acidic balance. The scallops were tender nuggets of deliciousness, and the octopus risotto was just a world of flavor. While there were some stars, everything else was still great and more than just a supporting cast. The goat croquets were filled with flavor, the diced beef was complex and tender, and the octopus salad was a wonderful change from the typical simple octopus. Again, the environment was spectacular. After the meal we hung out for another half hour talking regional wine and the particular vineyard our bottle came from. Just a wonderful experience all around!
google avatar

Danny W.

Yelp
Very small restaurant which serves small plates with the intent to try many items. We ordered four plate plus dessert and a bottle of wine. The food was great, the wine was great, the staff was great. We would certainly go back!

Yelp
Excellent tapas in downtown Lisboa that are a fusion of the old world and the new world. My favorite was the bachalau and my husband's was the rabbit samosa. Friendly and talkative staff that have good recommendations

Leah C.

Yelp
Amazing food! Better than I could have imagined. Super friendly staff. So happy we stopped in. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Excellent. Everything was fantastic. The service was amazing. They explained how everything was prepared and how to best enjoy it. The meat sausage was grilled table side. Our favorite was the fried chicken.

Yelp
After 8 days all over Portugal, this might be the very best meal we have had. Can recommend it highly enough.

Yelp
Excellent food from drinks to dessert. I am generally not a fan of tapas/small plates but wanted to be able to try a variety of food while traveling. They have a two plate minimum per person. We had tempura green beans, Octopus risotto, tuna marinated in passionfruit with salmon roe, and shrimp with garlic and lemon. All were excellent. Service was friendly and top notch, asking about food allergies and preferences. Get there early. There's a line at the door waiting past 6.

Carlos O.

Yelp
Let's start with the bad, since restaurants usually just answer with "we are glad that you liked it" and totally dismiss the bad. There is a little cart blocking the entrance door, probably to show how difficult it is to enter their premises. The door guy is bold, tattooed and bad tempered, maybe part of the vibe too. Once inside, the next guy is bad tempered too. Maybe they had a bad meeting right before opening. Last bad thing was that 2 out of 4 dishes were cold, unusual in a good restaurant. Now the good, great quaint beautiful place with good ambience (by the patrons). The food tasted good and their weird rules about what you are allowed to order and the quantities actually worked well for us.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
A great venue to try local Portuguese favorites. Sure there are tons of restaurants in the area but there only a few that stands out and this is certainly one of them. Food portions are perfect for trying out different dishes and a expect the service to be as good as the food. All you need to do is relax and enjoy this centrally located restaurant this is upscale in looks, service and food quality.

Jane A.

Yelp
The food here was amazing! Service was excellent and staff was friendly and generous with recommendations once we were seated. The ambience is sort of old world which complemented the menu. We were a large group that had to be split between 2 tables but were appreciative of getting in at all! This may have been our best meal in Lisbon!

Yelp
My rating is purely based on mostly non-meat dishes and overall I am a critical yelp reviewer having tasted lots of things internationally. What we ordered: - Prato Do Dia 8.50€ - Bacalhau Braz 8.50€ - Risotto Polvo 9.50€ - Gambas Ao Alho 9.75€ - Croquete de Alheira 6.80€ Why the bad rating: None of the food we ordered blew us away. All dishes were very heavy, oily and greasy. We had nap right after. The dishes are over salted and lacked in fish quantity. The fish was fresh but nothing really stood out. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday noon. The service was alright. So overall I am not sure why this place is so hyped. The risotto was to buttery and cheesy. The garlic shrimps in oil was too salty. The cod dish has too much potatoes and missed the quantity of cod. The croquettes were not tasty, we left them on the plate. For the portions we also felt that it was slightly overpriced maybe given their location. Overall I'd skip this place next time

Yelp
Excellent tapas. Got white wine sangria, salad, shrimp and scallops. All excellent. Very considerate server.

Yelp
We went by one weekday evening to check out the spot based on the strong reviews, hoping for outdoor seating, but it was so busy we decided not to go in and they only had one outdoor table by the front door. I'm so glad we went back another day a bit on the earlier side to give it another try! We were able to sit just inside the front door at a high table in the mid-late afternoon and there were only a few other tables seated. The waitstaff were great - I was trying to at least attempt Portuguese pronunciation of the dishes and I got a big smile from a very tattooed and initially serious host/server, who then helpfully provided me with proper pronunciation of each dish so I could try again. He must have let the next server know because when each of our dishes was set down they told us the name in clear Portuguese. Very sweet! This is not your average tapas bar - everything had a bit of a twist to it. At the start they explained they recommend each person chooses at least two small plates to get a meal's worth, and that each dish is portioned for sharing, so you should probably choose at least four things. We chose five: seared foie gras with apple compote (special of the day), braised black pork cheeks with a delicious potato paste kind of accompaniment that was unique and really good, cod confit with chickpea paste, octopus risotto (easily the most bulky dish if you are really hungry!), and the shrimp in coconut marinade (nicely spicy but not too much). They started us with a little amuse bouche of two lentil balls that were very good as well! You can order a glass of house wine which made it easy to decide if you wanted another glass without ordering a whole bottle, and actually had a locally brewed craft IPA on tap, which was hard to find in Portugal! Everything was very good, nice portions to share, and totally worth returning for. Once we had placed our order the server went through it with us to ensure we didn't have any dislikes or dietary issues - even checking if cilantro was OK as a garnish. The servers were very friendly, restrooms were nice (downstairs from the center of the dining area on ground level), and we were able to ask to add a tip to our credit card payment when we settled up. Would absolutely recommend this place - the selection of dishes was quite bit and with some good vegetarian options as well so it could be hard to choose!

Lilian L.

Yelp
The food was all very tasty. We ordered the black pork cheeks in red wine, absolutely delicious, the meat was as tender as it can get, and packed with savor, and the mashed potatoes were silky. The codfish cakes were really good. We ordered the sirloin steak Da Prata 52 and flavor wise it was fantastic, but the meat was tough and also the rest of the plate was lukewarm. I understand that the temperature of the meat was medium rare, but the side was not hot. The grilled angus picanha tasted terrific, but would have expected an angus cut to be more tender. Side also lukewarm. As I have mentioned in my reviews before I like my food hot when it is supposed to be hot. All in all the flavors were on point, temps need work. But would come back to taste some other stuff. A great modern take on Portuguese cuisine. The restaurant has great ambiance, and the service is swift.

Yelp
Fantastic place with a great staff. Very friendly, attentive and informative about their dishes. They explained the dishes and how it was cooked. They took the time to explain. Came a couple of times and the second time I came they recognized me and knew my name. I had the vegetables in chickpea tempura, shrimp in olive oil and garlic, octopus risotto, and a very Portuguese sausage Chourico. All dishes are made to be shared but as a single traveler they were perfect. All awesome! I still have a couple of days left in Lisboa but had to post this now. Will probably come back my last two nights but had to post this now.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem that's a must try in Lisbon. The entrance looks deceivingly small, but when you go in it's packed. The food and service are phenomenal, and staff are passionate and knowledgeable about the menu.
