Revisiting NYC Restaurant and Celebrity Hangout Il Cantinori | Eater NY
"I note that Da Silvano, which opened in 1975 in the Village, preceded Il Cantinori as the first Tuscan in town and likewise became a celebrity hangout in the 1980s." - Robert Sietsema
The experience I've been waiting for!
Truly Italian cozy place with barely speaking English personnel and very very friendly!
Carbonara oh my god, was so delicious! Just amazing
Vongole with mussels is just about right. Very good
And the seafood plate we took was so vibrant and added more protein to our meal.
Highly recommend and feel it is underrated

I was looking for a place a bit away from the touristic areas and boy did I find it! The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious, we received a plate of focaccia that I cleaned off with the delicious oils left over from the pasta. The aperol spritz was better than what we got in the navigli and even the house wine paired very well.

Great food place with just as good serving and the people were super nice. Would definitely come here again and try their Calzone as it looked super tasty.

I was surprised to eat the best pizza frutti di mare i ever had in Milano. Food very good, kind of neighbourhood restaurant, interior from the 70s but that is not the important part for me, it is just the taste of the food and that was great for a fair price.

Visiting this amazing city of Milan is great for me and the family. We are staying 500 meters walk from this restaurant and we found out via a verbal recommendation. My daughter and I stopped by for take out. The food was fabulous and the people working here all gave us smiles and feelings of joy.
One nice Italian women gave my little daughter a friendly cheek squeeze which reminded me of my child hood as a kid growing up and visiting my Italian family.
We ordered a salad with prosciutto which was amazing and a pizza. We also ordered 2 awesome desserts.
