"It's never easy to find the right balance between quality and quantity, especially in a town that is very much on the tourist trail. However, Da Vincenzo has succeeded in doing just this for years, ever since it was first opened by the family’s grandfather Vincenzo in 1958. Today, the founder’s grandson (who shares his grandfather’s name) is at the helm here, creating dishes which focus mainly on fish. Pleasant atmosphere, with a few small tables on the pavement of the street that runs through the centre of Positano. A choice of cocktails supplements the wine selection from lunchtime onwards." - Michelin Inspector

Everything is exceptional at this restaurant. Just a note to reserve a table - my husband and I reserved a table 2 months before visiting it - so we were expecting it to be amazing and it was! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is outstanding! The starter portion is big and you can definitely share. I had a pasta with a beef stew (can't find the name) and it was the best pasta I've had during the trip! The dessert was also superb. The flavour of the food was so good! The whole atmosphere is lovely there, there was a couple celebrating their anniversary there and the staff was celebrating it but bringing everybody together to be part of it, it was a true Italian spirit. There was no long wait for the food at all, and staff were constantly checking if everything was ok. It's defined worth visiting it.

Don’t really understand the stellar reviews. The people in front are great at getting people to come in. Reservations seemed impossible to get, but they pretty much let every walk-in into the restaurant. So likely they have reservations available for less than half the availability (creating exclusivity). Don’t sit outside, no view, cars driving by. Once seated, we felt forgotten. Had to flag down the waiter/waitress 3 times before ordering. Food was pretty forgettable. Nothing special. And we were starving. Zucchini blossoms were heavy, octopus was chewy and under seasoned. Pasta was fine, but again, nothing special. Can’t say I’d recommend coming here.

Google
The braised veal cheeks with polenta were soft and tender and it was delicious! The lobster linguine had nice presentation but overall I didn’t love it. I felt the flavour was bland. The rigatoni was better but I could’ve lived without it. This restaurant was very busy when we walked by and it had good reviews so we wanted to try it, but I’ve had better pasta in Positano. We got bread and olive oil to start. They brought out our meat before seafood which I found strange as it had a stronger flavour which could’ve change our palate so we thought the pasta was bland.

Google
The food is really good and service was pretty prompt. I booked for Friday lunch but had to change to Saturday lunch. They have kindly accommodated it. I would recommend the octopus and the lobster pasta. Mindful if you are coming via ferry, there is a fair steep climb to the restaurant from the port.

Perfectly delicious dishes, staff members are so nice and welcoming, the atmosphere is great. Good price/quality ratio. Highly recommended

One of our food highlights from the honeymoon, this place is so great! They were able to accommodate our walk-up group immediately (in October, that is), and we had a great street-side table. The staff split out dishes so we could try everything, and all the flavors were simply amazing. Also had the best pavlova of our lives.

Google
Service was good and professional but could be improved in speed. The ceviche was not my favorite. I've had ceviche from all over Mexico, Hawaii, California, Florida, other parts of Europe etc. and of course Italy and it was the worst one I've had. The rest of our food was delicious. The ravioli, the steak and the salad. Wine and cocktails were decent as well, but house wines are nothing special. I would visit again. It was enjoyable with friends and my wife. Prices are more expensive but that is everywhere here. I find it rude and annoying when they tell you service is not included. Everywhere else in Italy that is not a standard practice. They only say it to tourists.

Google
Fried zucchini and lamb were good but not the seafood. Prawn was soft and murky, not fresh. Service was below average, the man (I presume he’s the owner), who was at the cashier ignored me when I asked about my reservation and started counting money. My plate was then taken away as soon as I finished my last bite (my reservation was at 10pm so there wasn’t anyone waiting), felt as if my table was given a different service as compared to the others

Yelp
This was among the best food we ate during our entire 2 week Italian vacation. We liked it so much, we went back every night that we were in Positano! Although we did not have reservations, because we only found out about it after checking into our hotel ... we showed up and they were very good about fitting us in early in the evening. If you do not have reservations, show up at 6:15 p.m. - 6:20 p.m. and let them know you'd like to have dinner if there is space for when it officially opens at 6:30 p.m. A line will start to form around 6:30 p.m. of stand by customers and they will make space for a few of the parties who are in line. Making reservations in advance is highly recommended as this place is popular to locals and tourists. The staff here is beyond fantastic! They are not snooty, or aloof, even though the restaurant is very highly rated and very popular ... they treat every customer with respect. Rafaele was a great host who made us feel right at home and we felt like family by the end of our trip. He gave us great menu recommendations and had us laughing the entire time during our meal. There wasn't a single dish which we ordered that we didn't like. Literally, we finished everything on our plates, each meal! Grilled Octopus ... This is amazing! Cooked perfectly, so it is tender and flavorful. It is not rubbery or slimy. It is probably our favorite dish ... even my partner ate some and she hates octopus normally. Hand-made Ravioli ... These were our second favorite dish. The combination of San Marzano tomatoes and cheese was absolutely amazing! You cannot taste tomatoes like this in the United States. I could have eaten this dish the entire time, it was so good! Neapolitan baby octopus soup ... While I think I prefer the grilled octopus, this was a close second. It has small octopus and a very flavorful tomato and octopus broth. Tagliatelle with red shrimp ... Very good dish. The sauce was flavorful (you have to be okay with fishiness) and the pasta was done perfectly al dente. Rigatoni al ragu ... This was our least favorite dish, but we still loved every bite of it. It certainly didn't match up to the other dishes we had here, and we would likely skip it again. Honestly, we probably would have eaten here another night too, if we were staying additional time in Positano. The menu is so good and there are a lot of options. Everything is made using fresh ingredients, the prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. You can eat inside, which looks like a classy cave. Or, outside, where there is a lot of traffic that passes by the table ... but views of the coast. We prefer outside. Overall, this was our favourite restaurant in Positano. There are a lot of mediocre tourist traps ... especially near the beaches/town center. You'll have to climb some VERY long stairs to get to the top where the restaurant is, from the city center. However, the long climb is worth it because everything about this restaurant is perfect and makes us want to return.

Yelp
4.5 stars! We had a late dinner here and snagged a last minute reservation before our trip. I would recommend reserving here if you plan on dining because even in off season it did not seem like they had the capacity for walk ins. The atmosphere here is super quaint and really adorable. The restaurant is carved into the side of a cliff with the natural stone as the primary decor. It's really a unique space that we enjoyed. The staff was super friendly with great advice and suggestions when requested. As it goes for the food, we mostly liked everything. The eggplant parm was to die for, and I'll be thinking about it well after the trip is over. We also got a cold tomato soup with smoked mozzarella and we found this to just be okay. We got this dish at another establishment so we are a bit familiar with it and we just didn't find this to be our favorite. For entrees we got the zucchini pasta and lamb chomps which we shared and both were good! Overall I'd say this was a good meal with a nice atmosphere that didn't break the bank. A nice spot in Positano!

Yelp
While this wasn't on our initial list, it was right across the street from our hotel and came highly recommended. It was an amazing first meal in Positano! We stopped by a few minutes after they opened and got a table right inside. The service was great throughout the meal with great recommendations, the right amount of checking in, etc. For starters we had the artichoke and the panzerotti both which were so good. The fondue with the artichoke was unique and yet we couldn't stop eating. For mains we had the nerano and the ravioli which may have been the best pasta we ate on our Italy trip. To round out the meal, we had a white wine recommended by our server which was the perfect compliment. All in all, please reserve a table and try this place!!

Yelp
Da Vincenzo is a must if you're visiting Positano, but be sure to make a reservation. It's a unique restaurant with part of it enclosed in a cave and away from the beach area. Food is amazing! Started with the mussels and deep fried ricotta, the mussels are a must! Devoured every single one with the soup plus there was like 30 in the dish. As for the pasta, I split the pasta, but should have ordered our own. I do wish the shrimp were actually prawns vs. the baby shrimp. Service was great, very attentive! Can't wait to go back!

Lisa H.

Yelp
What a welcoming restaurant with delicious food! We were greeted with smiling faces and immediately seated for lunch on a Saturday, despite the fact that our reservation was booked for the wrong day. We ordered the octopus appetizer, a seafood pasta dish and the veal. All were spectacular and so nicely plated! My husband said the veal was so tender and melt in your mouth. The seafood pasta I had was also delicious, and I couldn't wait to finish it. At the end we finished with a tiramisu that we saw on reviews that it was the best ever, and it was indeed the best tiramisu we've ever had. Not even joking! Overall, one of our favorite restaurants of our whole Italy trip. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Da Vincenzo may be my favorite restaurant in Positano. Whether eating inside or outside on the street, you will love the food and company of the great Vincenzo. The food is truly unbeatable and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend anyone visiting Positano spend a night at Da V; I promise you won't regret it!

Christopher G.

Yelp
Da Vincenzo may be my favorite restaurant in all of Positano. The food is absolutely to die for and whether you sit inside or outside on the street, you're guaranteed to have a great time people watching and enjoying the company of the great Vincenzo. I would recommend everyone who visits Positano spend an evening at Da Vincenzo; you won't regret it!

Yelp
Love this place! Walking by and right away they offered a table! Very happy with our experience! The view outside is amazing!

Lisa S.

Yelp
I reserved this place a month early for my husband's birthday as it had great reviews and was close to our hotel. The restaurant was well run with excellent service and food. The restaurant was very busy. I noticed the Michelin plaque on the wall so I expected it all to be great and it was. That said, we enjoyed many fabulous meals in Italy and I was a little disappointed that there was limited engagement from the servers and no mention of my husband's birthday which I had included in my outreach. Would I recommend it, yes. Was it the best meal and service we had, no.

Lorenzo K.

Yelp
This place fills up with reservations and we were lucky to get in without a reservation! The staff was very friendly and this was one of the cleanest and nicest restaurants I saw in Positano. The prices were a little on the higher side but all the food was really good. However I do wish the portions were a little bigger. I still recommend going here and would love to come back for their braised beef pasta that wasn't on the menu when we visited but looked very good in photos!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Excellent, excellent experience. This is very hard place to get into. Our reservation was for 9:30pm for dinner for 6 people. We had a great corner table with half our table able to watch folks out the front window. We started with olives and Panzarotti Neapolitan as our appetizers. The Panzarotti was amazing. For an entree, I chose the ravioli. It was beautifully served and equally delicious. Homemade pasta was stuffed with local ricotta and covered in a light tomato based sauce. It was delicious and the portion was perfect, especially for such a late meal. The restaurant had a cozy feel but it was bright and inviting. I liked the exposed rock inside the room. Service was outstanding! From hanging up our coats to delivering steaming hot meals, the pace and friendliness was well appreciated. Great experience!!

Yelp
Great spot in Positano - my favorite meal I had. The interior is a vibe, so many special details to create a unique dining experience. The staff was so so kind, I felt so good the entire meal. Food was excellent, I am going to do my best to recreate the Nerano pasta - tasted like an earthy pesto.

Ilene M.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant! Be aware - as of mid November they are ONLY offering a limited winter menu with small bites and appetizers. I think this is just during the off season for Nov-March, but we were a bit surprised when we walked in since we were excited for pasta but they ended up having a new menu and we ordered small bites - cheese plate and artichoke cheese dip. Plan on getting 3 small plates to split between two people. The only two entree-sized items they had were a lobster roll and a burger. Besides this - this was the BEST restaurant service we had in Positano! We stayed in Positano for 4 days during the off season and came to Da Vincenzo on our last night. At other places, we felt like servers didn't really engage with us/didn't care very much and we had very limited interactions if any at all. At Da Vincenzo they actually had a conversation with us, and took their time to make recommendations and even wine pairings. Not very pricey and they're a Michelin guide recommended restaurant. They deserve it! We were on our honeymoon and they wrote us a sweet message on our tiramisu :) Highly recommend!

Darsha M.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Positano by far. Definitely make a reservation in advance or else you'll be waiting in a very long line. We started off with mini calzones filled with ricotta the ricotta melted in your mouth. For entrees we ordered the eggplant Parmesan and gnocchi pesto. Both were very delicious, especially the pesto. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it came with a scoop of coffee gelato which was heavenly. Food was great and the staff was so attentive and nice.

Nicole B.

Yelp
We had a nice experience here. Overall the food was okay, but the dessert was DELICIOUS. For food, we ordered the mussels, calamari, and mushroom pasta. I think the mussels and calamari were okay, covered our craving for both since we have it every so often. Mussels were a little smaller than I realized it would be. The mushroom pasta was good, a little buttery but pasta was perfectly Al dente. Now for the showstoppers, the cheesecake and tiramisu were amazing. The bottom layer/crumble on both were so yummy. Definitely would come back for the dessert.

Venetzy M.

Yelp
Came here while on Vacation :) The customer service was great, friendly staff and the food was to die for - delicious. The dessert was great as well!

Jessyca O.

Yelp
We got lucky with a last minute reservation. We sat outside but the inside of the restaurant is gorgeous! I have to say our server saved a woman's life. She was choking, he gave her the heimlick maneuver and saved her life! The servers sprang into action quickly, helping this woman. So glad she is okay and the servers were on it! Onto the food, ordered anchovies and the octopus for appetizers, both were superior. I'm not a huge fan of anchovies, yet my boyfriend loves them, this dish made me fan. They're ever so lightly flash fried, just enough for a slight crunch. I ordered the seafood pasta, wonderful light butter sauce. He ordered the porcini pasta, delightful as well. Finished with tiramisu, which I have to say, may have been my favorite tiramisu our entire trip. Finished with espresso and lemoncello! I will say, this restaurant is very fair priced! I wish I could remember the white wine we had, dry but light peach notes on the back end, went fantastic with our meal choices. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is exceptional. The food is everything, everyone says it is! Highly recommend! Will be back!

RJ A.

Yelp
This wonderful restaurant was right across from where we stayed and unfortunately we didn't dine here until our last night. We loved it so much. We tried to rearrange our trip so that we could have lunch ther

Liz M.

Yelp
This was the best restaurant of anywhere we ate in Positano. Every dish was perfect--mussels antipasti, house made gnocchi with eggplant, lamb chops, and the semifreddo: it was like the most gourmet snickers ice cream bar you've ever eaten and probably the best dessert I've had in my nearly 42 years, eating out in many, many great spots in the US and internationally. Do not hesitate to order it! House red wine was also really delicious and even though I swore I wasn't going to get a second glass of wine with dinner, after tasting a sip of my husband's, I had to get it. Service was outstanding, perfectly coursed-out plates, and the ambiance inside was so great (originally we were going to sit outside but actually really happy we sat inside--felt like a cozy, romantic cave). Perfect last night in Positano and last night of our honeymoon! We also learned that Michelin-starred restaurants are actually affiliated with the Michelin tire company, and this place certainly earned its rating!

Katey G.

Yelp
My husband and I had very high hopes for this restaurant and really scoured for reservations to make sure we snagged a table during our stay in Positano! With the being said... make sure to make a reservation ahead of time! Especially in peak season. We sat indoors close to the stone walls the restaurant is carved from. We started with the anchovy, mozzarella, tomato salad, ordered the spaghetti with clams and nerano spaghetti, amberjack fish, and the lemon delight for dessert. We really enjoyed this meal and our experience, but no dishes were standout amazing. Overall a solid Positano restaurant to visit!

Robert W.

Yelp
We had dinner reservations for 1830 as this was our first night in Positano after a long trip arriving from America. We asked the waiter to help us with a wine selection and also his choice. After a few questions, the selection turned out to be from a winery we hoped to visit in Tuscany during our stay in Italy. We started with an appetizer of mozzarella and prosciutto. It arrived with bread, balsamic vinegar, and EVO. All of it was fantastic. For our main course, we selected the cod plate and the gnocchi plate. Each was cooked perfectly and was finished off without difficulty. Next we ordered dessert and chose the chocolate mousse and like the rest of the meal, it was really delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunset and the people watching, but will plan to dine inside the restaurant next time. The interior is well designed, quant, and romantic. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. Grazie mille, Vincenzo!

Paul E.

Yelp
Amazing food and the service was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. It's difficult to get a reservation here and for good reason! I had the pasta with mushrooms and my wife had the lasagna and both were amazing!

Tina J.

Yelp
My favorite meal in Positano...my favorite meal in all of Italy! The hype was definitely real. I tried to go during lunch hours because I knew how crowded it can get but the guy really recommended to come back for dinner so we did...even though its the same menu. TIP: make reservations early! If you gotta make an international call or its the first thing you do at the front desk of your hotel/airbnd..do it! We didnt and we walked in around 9:30pm, put our name on the list and waited outside for 30-45mins. It's nice cause you can order a drink while you wait. I didn't care for any of the cocktails on their list so I told the bartender to make me something sweet...and she made me the best drink I had on my entire trip! It was something with vodka, elderflower liqueur, cranberry. So good I ordered the same thing twice! My husband got the old fashioned with a twist and he liked it as well. For food we weren't too hungry so we didnt order too much but we got Panzarotti napoletani- a deep fried calzone stuffed with cheese. this was so simple yet delicious. Parmigiana di melanzane- delicious eggplant with cheese, tomato, basil. Meatballs dish- just meatballs (and 2 potato sticks), no pasta! but honestly so glad because we were stuffed by this point and the meatballs were so fresh, so authentic, so delicious! Return? yes Recommend? you must!

Yelp
Arriving in Poistano on the heels of 2 weeks spent in Naples, the differences couldn't be more stark. Naples has a reputation for being gritty and casual, the birthplace of pizza. Positano is the nearby, upscale, immaculate destination choice for (seemingly all) American honeymooners. Certainly, you can find the same fare in both places but in Poistano you will generally be enjoying it at different, higher price points and dining in spaces where every other table is filled with American diners. But that's how summer in Southern Italy rolls. Of the three dinners I enjoyed in Poistano, Da Vincenzo - noted in the 2022 Michelin Guide - was my favorite by a longshot. Recommended also by my hotel concierge, Da Vincenzo's dining room was pretty without pretension, and the food and service were upscale and delicious. I wasn't overly impressed with the somewhat sloppy presentation of the Fried Seafood but the Parmesan Melanzane (Eggplant) and the Linguine Alici (Anchovies) more than made up for it. Throw in that bottle of Taurasi wine (as you definitely should) and there was really nothing not to enjoy here. Dinner for two, including that nice bottle of wine ran about $125USD and, were I ever back in Positano, I'd not hesitate to revisit Da Vincenzo.

Madison G.

Yelp
We made reservations, watched the sunset, drank a bottle of wine and ate excellent food. Service was amazing. I would recommend eating here because it was the best meal I had in Positano.

Wesley C.

Yelp
The white fish dish (may have been cod or halibut) we ordered was a five out of five for sure!! Absolutely delicious served in a tomato broth with tomatoes, olives over sliced potatoes. The gnocchi dish was also tasty. ***Be sure to make reservations beforehand!!*** They are so busy that they usually don't take walk ins. Ambiance was great. I would have loved to go back to try other dishes if we had more time in Positano. Next time!

Bryn W.

Yelp
One of our favorite meals in Positano! Not only was the food top notch, but also our waiter, who went the extra mile during every phase. Some meals are memorable for the food, some for the experience, and this was both!

Abbie B.

Yelp
My trip to Positano would not have been complete without my experience from Da Vincenzo! My family and I ate there for lunch on our first day in Positano and was so impressed by the welcoming and friendly staff, amazing food, and beautiful views that we came back for dinner our last night! The first day I had the seafood risotto and it was amazing! So much flavor. The next time we came, I had the waiter surprise me with both the wine choices and my pasta and he did not steer me wrong! The spaghetti al nerano was to die for. To finish our meal we tried 3 desserts. Each of the desserts were our favorite from our entire trip, but the buffalo cheesecake was out of this world amazing!! If you are visiting Positano, Da Vincenzo is a must!!

Nicole M.

Yelp
Service was great. Our server recommended the lobster pasta and it was very flavorful and good. The wine he recommended with our meals paired very well. Bathrooms were very clean, we sat outside but there was plenty of room inside. A couple we met on our trip said they had dinner here and it was incredible.

Brett N.

Yelp
We were relieved to wait a mere minutes for table as a walk-in party of 6. We ate lunch and were really pleased with every aspect of the experience. The small Calzones, roasted potatoes, Steak, Linguine Zucchini and the Rotini Raghu were ordered. Delicious.... We were told reservations are made well in advance and can be found online, be prepared. My family was very pleased with this selection.

john g.

Yelp
MUCH over rated place. Made to wait way past our res. For a table. Only to find that there were many tables available. Stuck next to the busser station. Food average, much like you can get at any corner Italian place in the states. Way over priced for what you get.

Sam C.

Yelp
Food is average at best. Can't understand the hype or good reviews. The lamb chops had no taste or flavor, pasta and fried calamari was ok

Vinnie M.

Yelp
This has been the best meal we have had in Italy, and that is out of a lot of great meals. First, you need to make a reservation, and be prepared to take a taxi from the bottom or take the long walk up 348 stairs. We walked so we were ready to eat and drink by the time we arrived. Upon arriving we were seated outside at a table of four. There is limited seating outside, and it is a hair length away from a busy road with slow moving traffic and lots of people. Sounds awful, but it was cool. The view of Positano is set back, but it is a nice view. For apps we had the calzones and the daily special calamari. The calzones were lightly sauced, stuffed with ricotta and delish. The calamari I am sure was delish, But they were very fresh and not breaded. Not what we were use to in the states, but very authentic I am sure. For Main dishes one of my kids (12) had the ravioli and my 16 year old had a double order of the zucchini app. They were extremely tasty, and so fresh. My wife and I both had the meatball plate and they were some of the best meatballs we have ever had. For desert we had the lemon sorbet, the chocolate cake and the tiramisu. All were delightful. The tiramisu was the star. Add a couple of bottles of white and it made for a lovely 2 hour lunch. Stuffed!!! Go! Here! Now!!!

Yelp
First time in Positano and heard great reviews of this restaurant from other people (YouTubers) who have been here. We made reservations for tonight (9/19/22) at 9pm and arrived a bit early (8:30pm). We were greeted by a waiter named Vincenzo- soo handsome and I'd describe as a true Italian. He said we could sit and wait outside (see pic) or sit at a temp bar table and have a cocktail which is what we chose! He was so polite, (did I say, hot) and friendly something we have NOT felt from other places. We were then seated immediately at a table outside on the street which was great so we can see the action on the streets. I ordered a "margarita" that was, of course, tiny nothing like the states (no ice and almost resembled a martini (see pic). Not great. We then ordered an "insalate" mista (boring) and remember Americans out there, the salad is usual served last in Italy. However we asked to have it served before. Then we order "ribeye" steak comes with roasted potatoes and a bitter side of collard green and olives (eh). Bread with olive oil and balsamic was served also. We then wanted good Italian wine and chose a wonderful 130 EU bottle of Rossi wine called San Leonardo (but dry for my taste) but my husband liked it. Per Rafa, another Italian waiter said it was one of the 3 best wines in Italy ‍. Everything came fast, like they were in a hurry as the place closes at 10pm for any new guests. Then we checked the desert menu, decided on a chocolate covered caramel mousse with hazelnut cream (see pic, like pjs like snickers bar ice cream ) - we we asked for the check and thought, we are told not to tip Italians but we wanted to because service was so good. When the bill came "Rafa" (Rafael) said "we cannot accept tips on credit card, so if you want to tip, needs to be CASH!" we were a bit taken back by the suggestion to give him a tip in cash, since we did not bring any, my husband handed him US$ 8-9 dollars he had in his wallet as his "tip" - not much for a bill total of 239 EU. That was uncalled for, Rafa. Hence the 4 stars!

Traci S.

Yelp
This was my favorite meal from our time in Positano! It's highly recommended by locals and tourists for good reason. The food was fresh and had a different spin than the rest of the Italian cuisine you get in Italy. We loved our entrees and the espresso martini was the BEST I've ever had.

Cristina M.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was above and beyond, and the ambience is amazing, eating in what felt like a mini cave. Highly recommend, would come again.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Honestly was pretty let down. I had heard a lot of good things about this place from TikTok so it was one of the first reservations I made. The servers & hostess were very nice. But my boyfriend's meal was basically glorified butter pasta, and unfortunately I did not enjoy my pesto too much. The wine was good. The place was cute. I was really hoping the food would be better, but maybe it's because they are so busy?

Seth H.

Yelp
I would literally stab my sister in the heart to eat here again. It's that good. Just go.

Dana S.

Yelp
Really good last dinner in Positano. We arrived hungry having walked up from the beach. Good pastas, amazing fried calzone appetizer and good desserts.

Jenna S.

Yelp
What an amazing place in positano! We made reservations early and it was well worth it! The service, the food the ambiance was all incredible! We got the spaghetti alla nerano and it was mouth watering. Make sure to book if coming to positano!

Chaker F.

Yelp
Da Vincenzo is a Michelin star Italian restaurant located in the upper neighborhoods of Positano. FOOD (5/5): Everything we tasted here was excellent. From the pasta dishes, seafood, appetizers, and even vegetarian options. I recommend asking the server what they recommend since many of the menu items are seasonal. Cocktails and coffee available from a full bar. SERVICE (5/5): Friendly service with helpful recommendations. Bread service included. It is helpful to have a reservation. During peak tourist season, you will need to reserve significantly in advance. ATMOSPHERE (5/5): Indoor and outdoor seating available. Clean and comfortable restaurant.

Yelp
Made reservations before we got to positano and when locals asked where we were going to eat that night and we told them Da Vincenzo they all said "oh that's the best spot in town!" They were right. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all spectacular, ESPECIALLY THE BERRY CHEESECAKE. It was seriously the most delectable thing to ever grace across my taste buds YOU HAVE TO GET THE BERRY CHEESECAKE!!!!!!!!! If you're in Positano, do not miss this spot. I know it's overdone but this was legit our favorite meal in Italy.

Yelp
We arrived 15 minutes early. The hostess was very nasty. The food was just average. Much better options in town.

Yelp
Food was delicious, but the restaurant was fancier than we had planned on so we were caught a little off guard. Small portion sizes but beautifully plated. They had the option for a 7 course sampler that I think would have been great

Yelp
Absolutely incredible dining experience. The food...WOW! The staff and the ambience matched right along with this Michelin rated restaurant. Get a reservation or plan on showing up way before it opens in hopes of snagging a table for this fabulous meal!

Yelp
Da Vincenzo is a good option for a classy Italian meal in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Positano. This meal doesn't stand out as one of the best we had in Italy, but it definitely does stand out as one of the better meals in Positano. The restaurants there just don't have the same 'wow' factor as Florence / Rome. In any case, I started off with an order of octopus which came with a few large crispy pieces of grilled octopus. It was drizzled in a delicious creamy aioli and was served above a bed of shishito peppers. For my main I ordered a shrimp pasta dish. The pasta most definitely tasted homemade, and was coated in the most delicious buttery garlic sauce. There was also a very generous showing of baby shrimp. Judging by other Yelp photos this dish seems to be a fan favorite, and I can most definitely see why. My husband ordered some sort of fish and wasn't too impressed with it. The portion was also very small. Entree portions aren't the largest, so I do suggest starting with an app or so. I also suggest making a reservation, as this seems to be one of the more quality restaurants in a highly busy area. Service was not great, but a beautiful atmosphere and cheap and delicious house wine made up for it.

Yelp
We happened to stumble upon this place as it was close to our hotel, and boy were we glad we did! The service was top notch and the food was absolutely incredible! We ordered the octopus appetizer, the ravioli and the rigatoni short rib. Everything was so delicious! Da Vincenzo should not be missed!

Yelp
Ugh. Tourist Trap. This place is highly recommended for tourists not locals. I would easily say this was my least favorite meal of my 9 days in Italy. Food was not good. BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2013 SAN GIORGIO UGOLFORTE *everything you want in a Brunello BURRATA E POMODORI *gross and fishy *burrata wasn't creamy *tomatoes weren't ripe enough it was so hard to even bite through *we found a piece of plastic so they removed it from the check GENOVESE *pasta was undercooked and way too al dente, meat had no flavor RICCIOLA FIL *fish was flavorless and dry, zucchini was too salty MELA FUNGHETTO *eggplant was the best dish we had of the evening - would recommend this PANNA COTTA *nice texture and fresh berries SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating. Highly recommend making reservations in advance - I did a month in advance via email. The wait can be significantly long but they do offer you a glass of Prosecco while you wait.

Yelp
Want to feel like you're special, had a great meal, and someone actually gives a damn? We were sat on time, but there was a little of a wait. So they gave proscecco to everyone waiting. Mind you, this was a 10 minute wait. The food is spectacular. From the mussels, to the ravioli, to the meat portions, to the veal meatballs. We wanted to taste a lot but couldn't eat it all so they suggested sharing plates to get a full taste. Best meal we have had in Italy - hands down! PS make a reservation before you get here. They are booked for the rest of the week!
