Google
One of my friends recommended their place and we went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday treat !! Alhumdulillah we were not disappointed!! Specially the way the owners treat their customers which is really admirable and most importantly the food was way better than the other Bangladeshi restaurants in Michigan! You can enjoy your time with your family as they have very good set up and interior design which allows you to have some privacy ! Overall very good !

Google
I went to this place at the recommendation of a friend to try some Indian food for the first time. I am now hooked on Indian food and this place specifically. Every dish I tried was amazingly well seasoned and full of flavor. All the food was incredibly fresh tasting. The owner found out it was my first time and brought me an appetizer on the house. After my first trip I’ve been back several times in about 2 weeks to try new things and bring more people to find this amazing spot. You won’t be disappointed.

Came in and had a nice dinner. My husband enjoyed his food and mine was pretty good. We also really enjoyed the garlic Naan! The girls bathroom was kinda gross and had pee on all over the floor and the hand dryer didn't work.

Google
I visited recently to try their chicken fried rice. The dish arrived promptly and had generous portion of rice. However, I was disappointed by the sparse amount of chicken in the dish. For a meal labeled as 'chicken fried rice,' I expected more than just a few small pieces. Overall, the dish was enjoyable, but the lack of chicken left me feeling a bit shortchanged. I'll give it three stars because the taste and service were good, but the value didn't quite meet my expectations."

Google
Great food, we order from here often. The Chicken Curry and Lamb Korma are amazing. The service is really good. They are father and sons which I like. The prices are really fair too. Highly recommend.

So we found this place driving by and said we need to try it out one day, well that day was a nice fall Sunday for lunch. When we walked in we were greeted by a tank of water with bubbles continuously bubbling, it is as relaxing as it is beautiful. The overall decor and atmosphere was elegant but not too much. It was a very pleasing place to be seated in. Then we met the owner Arif, I hope that is the correct spelling, and he was a wonderfully charming fellow and very friendly. He was confident in the cuisine that they served and we couldn’t wait to sample their fare. She ordered a sample platter that included tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, chicken & beef shish kabob, and shrimp. This coupled with garlic naan was a fantastic choice to indulge in their many dishes. I ordered one of our favorites the butter chicken with rice and Daawat’s version did not disappoint! I can’t rave enough about this absolutely terrific dining experience, the food, the atmosphere and the service was so fantastic that we have decided that for Indian cuisine Daawat’s is going to be in our regular rotation.

Google
We were guided here by our hungry stomach's...tempted by the good reviews. Let me say we were NOT disappointed!!! Wow !! What a place . From walking through the door to rolling out full , our experience was more than 5 star. The restaurant owner works front of house and is very warming and attentive. The food was traditional and tasty !! We mainly ate the Indian food from the menu, but we're getting food envy looking at other tables. Highly recommend the chicken tikka masala. Such generous portions for the price . I was even made an accompanying sauce 'raita' at my request. We could not eat any more from our plates , but boxed every crumb to take away ! The decor of the interior is spectacular, especially the mesmorizing bubble tank at the entrance. We WILL be back !!!!

We are three friends make reservations before going to the restaurant,we order two chicken chap and two meet kebabs,The quality of the chicken chap was absolutely very bad,Their service was very bad, they didn't give us /plates,/water,/spoon and knife,The person who did the service is an old man, not well behaved.I would advise to hire a good quality service man

Yelp
The food is always food. It tastes so hot and fresh. This was my second time ordering here. I loved the chicken tikka masula last night. I ordered on the yelp app and did in store pickup. Unfortunately the guy at the front gave my partner a hard time during pickup. The made it seem like my name wasn't on the order. We presented my name, the order and order #. && what's crazy is when the food was presented to us, my name is on the receipt. Idk if he was new or just confused. The food is great though.

Yelp
I'm newer to the Indian food scene, and am still learning my way around a menu at places like this. I've had a lot of exposure over the past few years and kind of know what to look for when ordering and choosing a place to eat. This place has been on my short list because it gets really solid reviews. Due to the location, I'm never really in the area, so I finally was and made a point of stopping in today to check it out. The menu's a fusion menu. They have Indian and Asian style food. They have lunch and dinner entree's so I was excited to try something out. They had the usual menu items of Tandoori chicken, Butter Chicken, Biryani dishes and such. I thought I'd try something new and get the Tandoori chicken with Naan. My food came out and it was fabulous! Boy was it not only good looking, but tasted excellent as well! I got the lunch portion since I didn't want to be weighed down afterwards since I had stuff to do. The naan was excellent. I really loved it and could have eaten more if I had the chance. Also, the gentleman who helped me was super friendly and nice. I had a few questions but he was extremely knowledgeable about things like how spicy is spicy, what comes with my dish, etc. I really appreciated his knowledge as it made a difference not only in my experience here, but how I ordered as well. Things like not feeling rushed, giving me an honest answer and general knowledge of dishes and spice levels. Overall, a fabulous place to grab a good bite to eat. See, not all Indian restaurants are created equal. Some are better at certain things, while others are not. I guess it all depends on what your looking for and want. Prices here are fair and on point, so I want to give them that. My only suggestion is that I wish they had a lunch buffet of some sort. I noticed a buffet area on the wall, but they nothing was set up.

Yelp
Guy answering wouldn't even let me quickly ask for their hours and if they were doing dine-in, he came back on and put me on hold again without a word. Ugh. He came back on a minute or so later. I told him I was only trying to ask for their hours and if they had dine-in before directly putting me on hold after my call. What an interesting menu. Ordered chicken Shish kebab, Chana masala, chicken Manchurian, no mango lassi, they just ran out, nice. The waiter cut off our order to take a phone call, how sweet is that. Ended up getting s butter chicken later after the chicken Manchurian disappointed us. Just learned that their Chana masala here is not made with chick peas, but lentils, oh. It even says the Chana is made with chick peas on the menu though, so confusing. It does have good flavor, just would have been better with chick peas instead of lentils for me The garlic naan is quite doughy and billowy, it's okay. Tastes good, just super doughy and thick to me. The chicken Shish kebab has good flavor, but it's bone dry. The chicken Manchurian meat is way overcooked, jerky like. Not what I was expecting at all. Couldn't eat anymore than a bite of it. We ended up getting butter chicken, the chicken wasn't too dry at least. Sauced was decent too.

Yelp
I called them to make sure they were open, they in fact were NOT! They locked the doors and on their website they said they were open.

Zamanable H.

Yelp
We love the lamb biryani here so much that we got a half tray last night for our family. Everyone loved the biryani, meat and spices were so flavorful.

Jewel M.

Yelp
I highly recommend. The food is wonderful, nice size portions, and the place is clean. Great service

Skyler A.

Yelp
Someone recommended this place to us a few months ago and we got the butter chicken, rice & nan bread as well as the chicken wontons. Everything was hot and delicious! We will definitely be coming back.

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Our dishes were not as flavorful as we'd hoped (lamb korma and butter chicken). We got DoorDash, and one of our mango lassis were left out. No big deal! I'll give Daawat the benefit of the doubt because it was delivery. Will give it a shot again, but next time dine-in.

Patricia L.

Yelp
Food is really good! Flavorful and tasty (you can the range if spiciness!) and my favorite was the Chicken Jalfreze.

Pete S.

Yelp
This is an undiscovered gem of a restaurant on 9 mile in Warren. They have an extensive menu of samosas, shawarma, gyros, curries, and a Chinese fusion menu as well as a kids menu. The owner and staff are very friendly and willing to patiently answer questions about allergies, etc. It was our second time here, this time with a group of six. Our food was delivered quickly and was delicious. I recommend the chicken tikka biryani, the vegetable fried rice and the meat samosas. The sesame chicken got raves from a frequent chicken eater and apparently the garlic naan was outstanding. The ambience was very pleasant, clean and not too crowded. I tried to take a video of their glass wall with rising bubbles that change color but apparently can't post videos to yelp. I guess you'll have to come see for yourself.

Rachel B.

Yelp
I ordered the mango lassi and lamb korma (similar to lamb curry but with coconut milk). Everything tasted delicious. I went here with some coworkers and they gave us a spicy chicken tenders appetizer and soup that were also very good. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend if you are in the area! Prices are also very reasonable too.

Natalie N.

Yelp
OMG BECKY!!! For anyone who loves heat and the famous Naga chili, this is your place!! This restaurant has it all and more. Indian, Chinese and Halal food as well. It is like the Chinese cuisine had a baby with the Indian cuisine!!! We had the Naga Chicken shawarma and the fried rice. The food was so good I could not stop eating it!!! Derrick had to tell me to put my fork down. I have to go to the mall and get new pants now too!!! The flavor and spice were totally on point. You can get your heat levels anywhere from 1 to 10. I did the 10, and it was utterly fantastic!!! The star of the movie was the Naan bread with coconut and raisins. I could have eaten the whole thing. I can not wait to come back here. I highly recommend this wonderful place. They have so many dishes to choose from. The owner was so awesome, too!!! You will feel just like you are at his home.

Yelp
What a great new fusion restaurant to the area. I was so excited to learn about Daawat and I couldn't wait to try it out. The menu is very extensive with Indian, Chinese and Middle Eastern options. Over the past several years, Curry has been my thing; it's the spice to life in my opinion. I've been to a few Indian restaurants with a buffet set up for food. Due to Covid, these buffets have been discontinued. I love trying new dishes and expanding my experience with diverse foods. That being said, the Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer was delicious. Those are usually our go to options when ordering Indian food. The naan was fantastic. I love dipping naan in the curry....oohhhh so good! If you get an opportunity to check out Daawat, you are in for a treat.

Dennis L.

Yelp
We had an awesome meal at Daawat. The owner was so hospitable and welcoming and the atmosphere was inviting and clean. The chicken tikka masala was very tender and flavorful. The tandoori chicken was sizzling hot and absolutely delicious. The shrimp biryani was spot on. The garlic naan was the best I have ever had. We finished our meal with a wonderful rice pudding. We look forward to returning again.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Biryani is amazing the red one the yellow one is okay but I've had better at other Indian restaurants

Taylor C.

Yelp
I don't normally leave reviews but this place was absolutely amazing ! The staff and service was unmatched we walked in and immediately got greeted and seated . Would 10000% recommend the butter chicken and garlic nan . We shared the meal for 2 people and it was the perfect amount for us . Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing . Food was out very fast as was our appetizer. Definitely recommend!!

Terrill H.

Yelp
So I came to this place after work and the ambiance the service and the food was excellent...I order as a during the Mango Lassi x2...the Chicken Chaat as an appetizer and the Chicken Jalfrazie and when I say everything was delicious it was a good experience for me

Nabil B.

Yelp
Grubhub driver left the food by the front door and didn't ring the bell or call or text me until I called them and said it was delivered. Not a good service. As for the food it was good.

Xavier K.

Yelp
Daawat is dashit. Very good place never fails me. The service is the best here too the best

James Y.

Yelp
I went there on Friday, the food was great. I would recommend to anyone who wants good service. The owner Arif is very kind to us always.

Steve T.

Yelp
Daawat is a new Indian/Bengali restaurant that opened in June. The interior is very nice, the staff are friendly with good service, but unfortunately the food isn't that great. You can find better Indian food at dozens of restaurants around metro Detroit. We got the Chicken 65 appetizer which was very dry. The chicken was almost hard which makes me think it was pre-cooked and just heated up before serving. For entrees we had the shahi paneer which I normally love but, in this case, they didn't use homemade paneer. They use the store brought paneer with the rubbery texture which ruined the dish. We also had masala meatballs which were decent. There are a lot of excellent Indian restaurants in the area so there is no reason to revisit Daawat.

Eric S.

Yelp
While I haven't experienced that much Indian cuisine in my life, I was glad to see that a new Indian restaurant opened up in the city of Warren. Eager to try them out, I ordered a common Indian dish called Chicken Tikka Masala for carryout. I have to say that it was very delicious and the portions were good for the price of $9.99. If I had to critique my first meal, it would be that they need to add more Garlic to their Garlic Naan bread but I definitely will be returning to try other dishes!

Janine B.

Yelp
Got a delivery from Daawat last week and it was our first time trying them. I got chicken tikka masala and it had some kick to it. It was good though and i would get it again. My fiancé said the chicken biryani was better than anywhere else. We got plain naan and it was ok.

John J.

Yelp
The younger guys at the counter were super sweet the prices I have no complains about, and the food was even better

Chris B.

Yelp
Great food and very fast. Decided to try them for the first time with a carry out order. People were super friendly and place had a beautiful atmosphere for family dining. Wish I had chosen to eat in instead. Food was hot and very tasty.

Erik S.

Yelp
Amazing food and the hospitality is unmatched! Butter Chicken is a must! Can't wait to come back!

Stephen J.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. This is the best Indian food my wife and I have ever had. The chicken tikka biryani was perfectly spiced with a "yumminess" that makes it hard to put down your fork. The chicken curry was warm and flavorful, like a hug in a bowl. The naan was crispy on the bottom but dreamily soft and puffy on top. We will definitely be back!

San S.

Yelp
Very beautiful restaurant in warren was very surprised walking in you don't see lovely restaurants in warren that are clean the food was amazing only one request wish the food was extra spicy but over all amazing just ask for extra hot

Rubel A.

Yelp
The best amazing food I had in Michigan, from naga fried rice to Indian curry what a mouth tasting and there service I give them 100 stars and decorations another 100 stars. We need them in nyc see you soon thanks again.

Tony P.

Yelp
Just got an order from them and the beef in the rice is just cooked chunks of fat! The heat for being mild is a little bit too hot for me but I was really looking forward to the beef in the rice. Each piece of meat looks like it's cooked but it's just large chunks of fat! I don't even want to show the pictures of the stuff I had to spit out!

Bruce M.

Yelp
1st time here and I definitely plan on coming back. Came here because my usual place was closed and this might become a regular spot. I had the butter chicken, garlic naan and mango lasi all where really good. A friend of mine got the chicken korma which was amazing!

Ashraf K.

Yelp
Best Bangladeshi style Chinese. Thai soup can be better. Iftar items are tasty. Highly recommend. One more suggestion to the owner please fix your soda machine. Or serve can soda or bottle. Please and thank you.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Amazing! Just amazing. The food is delicious and the service is great. We've tried the saag paneer (5/5) chicken Tikka masala (5/5), butter chicken (5/5) and the Channa masala (4.5/5) chicken naga fried rice (4/5, I wanted it to be a bit spicier lol) my new number one restaurant to go to for indian.

Thomas J.

Yelp
The restaurant has a very good atmosphere, as well as neat/clean appearance. The food is a 5 rating, for sure! I enjoyed the Chicken Koram, which I had for the first time. You can tell everything is made fresh and very flavorful. The staff are very courteous and personable as well.

Huma T.

Yelp
Went there with my family for the very first time. We are on a road trip all the way coming from west coast California. Very welcoming decor and super friendly staff. Zohaib is an absolutely nice young fellow to greet guests with a very pleasant attitude. Food was very delicious. Owner by himself is a very down to earth person, he came to our table and introduce himself and ask about the food, if we need anything. Will recommend this place with a five star review.

Dustin P.

Yelp
Very good food! We've gotten takeout a few times now and it's been good each time. We missed part of our order once but that's it

Tony M.

Yelp
Went back today.... Order my food 20 minutes in advance..... long story short my food wasn't ready... I have only 30 minutes for lunch and that includes walking to the car and driving to pick up my food.... For some reason he was giving me the run around on top of acting like he was ringing order up.... Until I added a coke to go and I could hear the beeps when he touched the screen. So I didn't get to eat lunch today I was pretty pissed off.... I wasn't even about the money... I didn't ask for a refund they can keep that $17..... Never getting any more business from me again..... did I mention there was no one else in the restaurant and 1 person walking in while I was wasting my time waiting.....

Kathy O.

Yelp
Treat yourself and go out to this beautifully decorated restaurant with great food!!! I love Indian food and so does my Mom so I was so happy to find Daawat in Metro Detroit. We ordered the Chicken Korma - wonderful, flavorful sauce, perfectly spiced! Bihranhi = seasoned rice with beef - outstanding. Dahl - yellow lentil dish - now I usually do not like dahl very much, however, I really like this with the Naan bread dipped in! The naan was outstanding - soft yet crisp = delicious. So we will be back for sure. They also have tons of Chinese dishes too but we didn't try them.

Sydney H.

Yelp
the butter chicken is amazing. and the garlic naan comes out so soft. this place is so good, i can't stop coming back.

Nazifa N.

Yelp
Why it's so hard for Indian restaurants to serve quality food in Michigan ??! Put a halal tag & serve whatever you like, right?! We ordered Beef biriyani, Shrimp biriyani, Chicken biriyani and Kachchhi Biriyani and Deshi sheekh kabab with naan. Rice of the biriyani tested same In biriyani even though prices & names were different! On site it's written seekh kabab will be cooked in clay oven but it was no where near to clay oven cooked sheek kabab. I've provided you pictures of biriyani and you can see that color of rice same only differently named & high price. Anyone, who's from Indo-pak knows these dishes are no where close to authentic biriyani. Even street vendors food from these regions are better than food you are serving! It's so disappointing that you people are fooling customers who hasn't tested authentic biriyani and think you're providing a good service!! All I have to say, have some ethics! You guys raised 1$ per item even though you're selling it using same rice with different protein. You're saying you serve HALAL while you very well know that this is not HALAL way to do any business. Cheating in business isn't HALAL!

Elijah W.

Yelp
Friendly service. FANTASTIC INDIAN FOOD! Seriously! My family and I have eaten here several times and everything has been out of this world! The garlic naan....wow! Stop in and try it. You won't regret it!

Fahmida U.

Yelp
Great staff & management! We've dined in here a couple times and enjoyed. Our favorite menu item is the beef naga fried rice. We recently catered for a event (40 people) and food was ready on time and the guests kept complimenting the food. Must check them out!

Lin M.

Yelp
Went for lunch on Sunday with my Granddaughter. We had never had Indian food before and we loved it!! We started out with Coconut Shrimp app. Then had the Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan and Rice. Very good!!! Service was Excellent, really nice atmosphere. Will be back for sure!! Lin

Michelle M.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Always greeted with a smile and great service. We are so happy they are in the neighborhood.

Laneise D.

Yelp
Came here on a busy night. The owner was the only server working because of staffing issues and he was so nice. The food was great. Restaurant is clean. Definitely a good place to eat.

Katie C.

Yelp
Wow. Delicious food. Nicely decorated and clean. Kind staff. Had the butter chicken and my partner had the chicken korma. Both were delicious and hot. The garlic naan was a nice addition as well. The owner takes a lot of pride in his restaurant and it shows. If you are in the Warren area, this is a must stop. We will be adding Daawat to our weekly rotation of restaurants! Wish I would have taken pictures, but we ate the food too fast to take any :)

Melissa A.

Yelp
Hidden Gem!! super fresh, authentic indian-fusion restaurant. Delicious Food!! highly recommend. one of my new favorite take out spots!!

Ryan A.

Yelp
Beautiful interior. Plenty of parking. Service is friendly and great. Excellent chicken 65, butter chicken, and sesame chicken. Great place to bring the family. Very happy they finally opened!
