DaCoopas Pizza

Was excited to try this place after Dave Portnoys review. However it seems I didnt get a pizza with that regard. Look at the sag, half the pizza immediately just falls off into a pasta down below. I got the crispy dacoopa combo, $28 on uber eats (pickup), $24 in store (note if youre doing pickup). But yeah, seems East Boston just doesnt have good pizza. Santarpios sadly did the same for me, seems like trips to NYC will be the only place I dont buy frozen pizza.

First I will say Sadly they did away with the Nutella Pizza a Dessert item that was Excellent with fresh fruit and a light dusting of powdered sugar. It is nice to have a Sweet item avaibme if wanted at any restaurant. Pizza is definitely In my opinion. the Best in Eastie!! You can't go wrong with plain cheese. It seems to be the best I've had next day as well. Prices seem average for the area. Subs are also Good. Ask for what YOU WANT, the Service is Great and they do the best to Accommodate. Now a real winner is the Honey Garlic Salad! Both crispy chicken style or chicken strips. It's a Salad I myself think most will Love. Best salad I've ever had Anywhere! This spit is legendary and I do think if you ask for what you want you do get it, as far as how any of your food is prepared. A big plus. Calzones are good! It's got a Great Name this Spot and it stands for a reason! Service is always friendly- who wants a cranky person taking your order? NOT ME !! I've had Friendly accommodating service walk in and on the phone. Huge thing when you order Food! That's a given moody service isn't to appetizing! Hey I can't say anything bad about this place... Put ur order in how YOU like and I think you shall Be Happy with your Food!!

Correct pizza, and it is open at a late time. Good service but it is a small restaurant so w taked out our pizza.

2nd time here! Absolutely LOVE the honey garlic tenders! Staff are friendly and quick with service! 10/10 recommend their food.

I am from Texas and I left a few days ago but I simply cannot stop thinking about the pizza and wings I got from here while I was visiting Boston. I will come back just for that. Thank you for the great service!

WORST PIZZA EVER! We were staying overnight at the Marriott Courtyard to fly out early in the morning. Even though we were starving we could not eat this pizza. I do not enjoy chopped up canned tomatoes sprinkled all over my pizza which was so covered in garlic that I will not be able to breathe on anybody within 10 ft of me for at least a week. It basically looks like a low-quality cheese pizza with some chopped up canned tomatoes sprinkled all over it and definitely no sign of Basil. Do not fall for the picture of the pizza Margherita with the Buffalo mozzarella and basil all over it because that is not what you will get. And I don't know why it tasted sour. We basically just pulled the crust off and ate that. Seriously I want my money back

Hands down the best Italian in MA. All meats imported, cheese is perfect and the bread is light and fluffy. They have great pizza too but I'll get my weekly Italian every time.

I love the wings from Dacoopas they never disappoint Service is very frendly love it.

Good takeout. We like the pizza and calzones (specifically the chicken parm). Always quick service too. Nice spot to have in the neighborhood for an easy and quick dinner.

Whenever I go to east Boston this place is a must! Pizza is very good and the service is spectacular, Every time I go I feel very welcomed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves pizza.

I am very pleased of this place. Ordered a delivery double cheese burger fries and an orange soda. My food was delivered within the time given (45 minutes) the delivery guy called because of the conditions at my job. My burger was well done (my preference) the fries where well cooked and crispy. And the cheese was perfectly melted with all the condiments I asked for (plenty of napkins for me to really get into it). Will definitely be presenting from here again.

Pros: one of the best pizza & sub I've ever had. Legit addictive. Can't get enough. Cons: don't get a complicated order. Not sure why, but DaCoopas will constantly fet your order "add-ons" wrong. Ask for ranch? Nope. Toasted? Nope. No mayo? Nope. Extra lettuce? Nope. Simply recommend walking/driving over & order.

remember the old dacopas store front sign? yeah... I forgot how a cheeseburger sub is so delicious freshly put together to warm up at 230am after third shift. Its one of those moment you go that's why I remain a customer all these years.

Excellent service, very friendly. Got a fresh slice of pizza while I waited for my chicken caesar wrap. Pizza was flavorful and had crispy crust, perfect! Chicken caesar was also excellent. They didn't skimp at all on the chicken (which was freshly cooked and seasoned so well) and had vibrant green lettuce! 10/10 would recommend.

I'm really into this pizza. Photo is the margarita. Crust is doughy yet thin. The cheese and sauce is light. Delivery was fast. One recommendation is better cheese. Idk what kind it is but I'd prefer mozzarella

I just want to say thanks because DaCoopas is the perfect neighborhood spot when you just don't want to cook. We've had good luck with their pizza and subs - pizza is thin and crispy on the bottom Salads: I truly appreciate that I can order a salad and not get sad looking greens, and that the chicken is freshly cooked and doesn't taste like it got cooked yesterday and has just been sitting in the fridge. Both the salads and subs are enough to split between 2 people or save for the next day.

Cold! Missing items! Called to let them know and no customer service or concern. Blamed uberEats. Close up your shop! Pizza is at best 4/10 and customer service nonexistent. Fix your system DaPoopas

I ordered take out and asked for extra sauce for my eggplant parm. It was not included in my order, and when I called, the staff member admitted to it being her fault but there being nothing she could do to help me. The sandwich is so disgusting and dry I won't be eating it. There are too many good restaurants in East Boston to order from, stay away from this one as it it NOT one of them.

Honestly I really like dacoopas food so I didn't want to give a negative review but this is the third time this situation has happened to me. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and she goes a chicken finger wrap? And I go no a buffalo chicken wrap. And she goes with everything on it? And I go yes please don't forget the blue cheese. And it's literally a chicken finger wrap no seasoning..... What the heck? The first time this happened they gave me a buffalo wrap with barbecue sauce also inside. It's like they just create whatever they want and give it to you. So fing annoying when you're craving something... I'll probably stop ordering food here and just stick to a pizza. That's probably easier for them.

I was craving jalapeño poppers, so I ordered some from here because I heard this restaurant was good. Maybe the pizza and subs are good, but the jalapeño poppers were subpar. ): They have better ones at South Street Diner.

Ordered for delivery (Uber Eats) a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Arrived moderately warm and appeared it had been prepared hours before (or in the oven too long). Very little cheese, NO RANCH, VERY dried out and honestly not too tasty. I was hungry and short on time so I had no choice after the fact. I think the bacon is the only thing that saved this order. Oh and chicken is merely cut up tenders (which are breaded). Maybe in person orders or a different selection would be better. I would not consider this menu item again.

The restaurant canceled my Postmates order an hour after it was placed. If you're going to cancel my order, please do it in a timely manner so I can find something else to eat. An hour later is unacceptable. I was going to try to reorder when I saw the business owner's nasty replies to other negative Yelp reviews, and I have zero interest in supporting somebody like that.

Had a cheese pie while waiting for my table at Rincon Limeño across the street for Fathers Day with the family and it seems like they arr not as good as they used to be. The pizza had a good and tasty crispy crust a little on the greeky side meaning it cracked when you folded it toooo much sauce and what seemed at first like a sprinkle of cheese. Mind you we were hungry maybe the Sunday crew is team b. Have a nice day Happy Fathers Day.

We recently discovered Da Coopa's Thursday deal for the $8 buck 3 topping pizza and have kept it a tradition now 2 months in a row. I'm a big pizza guy and Da Coopa's is more than worth your bang for tour buck at $8. Specifically their sauce is what gets me to order every week due to it's fresh taste. I do wish they had the option to add really garlic as one of the 3rd topping choices.

Love this pizza and love the custom ordering such as slice amounts per pizza and how long to bake it.

I will never order from DaCoopa's again. Their delivery took 1 hour on a Sunday night. We ordered a large meatball calzone for $17 and it was literally like ordering cheesey bread from Dominoes. They basically chopped up one meatball in to a hundred pieces and threw it into some dough with cheese!

To my people first of all for years the is my favorite restaurant in the area love the food and service is always great we got a good history for more then 10 years keep on doing that good pizza and get some adobo for the chicken

Got take out from here a few weeks ago and almost everything we got was pretty tasty. I'm not sure it would become our regular spot because I think there might be better places out there, but we would definitely come back. The pizza was good, not to greasy or flimsy and the saucy was not to sweet. The steak sub was good, not gritty, but not very well seasoned either so a little bland. The toppings (onion, lettuce, cheese) really helped get it some taste. The chicken fingers were pretty good as were the fries. We got an order of onion rings and they were pretty bad, that's the on;y thing I wouldn't bother with again. There is no seating so you have to take the food to go.

Called Cooper's for a take-out of two chicken Caesar wraps and two drinks and when I asked the girl on the phone why it was the so expensive she snapped and explained there is a three dollar delivery charge and taxes and that's why. She was completely rude. Good thing the food is good or I would not buy from here again.

So online menu guves different prices that ewhat it actually is when they deliver the food , I ordered small pizza online says 6.25. When they showed up it was 7.99 and toasted ravoli online price 5.50 when they showed up it was 7.99 plus the food was cold and it tasted like something I would microwave from the grocery , PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THUS PLACE , FOOD IS GARBAGE

Really great pizza, especially buffalo chicken. Toppings in general are top notch. Just wish that they had better blue cheese dressing to dip the pizza in. They used to but now they just have Kens packets which just don't cut it.

Their delivery is always fast, I love it. Their Hawaiian calzone is my favorite thing, apart from their amazing steak bomb sub!

I don't know this part of Boston as well as some who may read this review, so I just want to clarify from the start that the Five-Star rating I gave DaCoopas isn't tantamount to me saying this is the best pizza and sub place in East Boston; rather it's my way of saying that I was given Five-Star service from a lovely young lady named Maranda. I was just very taken aback and impressed with the cheerful greeting I was given and the great service I received. Maranda greeted me cheerfully and welcomed me to the shop. As I decided on what I wanted, she assured me that pretty much any option I chose would be delicious. She also made pleasant small talk while I waited for my sub to heat up in the oven; something that people rarely do nowadays. To top it off, the Meatball Parm sub I ordered was absolutely delicious; so much so that, in hindsight, I wish I'd ordered two of them. The sub wasn't even messy which I find amazing, given the fact that... in virtually every other sub shop (...that prepares a Meatball Parm sub to go) they'll wrap it in a way that, when you UNWRAP it, makes it look like a crime scene. It may seem like a small detail, but it's great when I can take a Meatball Parm sub home and eat it without burning through a roll of paper towels. I can't stress it enough. Authentically cheerful customer service really DOES make a difference and Maranda made my visit a very pleasant one. Now that I work nearby the shop, I will definitely return. Thank you, Maranda.

I needed to order 20 Pizzas for an event at work. I had never been to DaCoopas before, so I picked up a large cheese Pizza on my way home. It was also on a Thursday when they have an $8 large cheese special. It was Excellent pizza!! Also they went out of there way to have my order done by 9AM on a Saturday.

Best pizza we've had since we moved here. Living in South Boston we've had a hard time finding a REALLLLLLY good pizza place. We googled "Boston's Best Pizza" and the city search website came up with listing the top 10 pizza places so naturally (LOL) I picked the first one. Also on the list are Santaprios and Pizzeria Regina. Having been to Santaprios (which was #3 or #4 of the list) we opted for the #1 choice. And were not at all disappointed!! I was a little surprised when we pulled up that it was strictly take out and delivery, with a couple barstools to eat a slice, sub or for waiting. But the pizza made up for it. Got a large half mushroom half pepperoni and asked them to make it extra crispy. When he wanted to take it out I asked to cook it for just another minute. And it was PERFECT!!!! It was 4 miles from where I live on Broadway and sucks having to payt the toll on the way back but it was all good. The ride home cooled it down just enough to be able to open the box and eat it right out of the box.

My boyfriend and I are obsessed with the chicken, bacon, ranch pizza for the last year. The best pizza in the area. We have ordered subs from here too and they were just as good. The staff have always been friendly and efficient.

My delivery experiences with these guys have been consistently awful. I live a 5 minute drive from the restaurant, and in my 3 separate order occasions, their deliveries have ranged from an hour and fifteen to an hour and thirty minute wait time (projecting a 30-45 minute window). In each scenario, we contacted the restaurant after about an hour for an update. Their tone was rude and flippant and their excuses questionable (twice they claimed to have an inexperienced driver, and once blamed it on "traffic" - we're literally down the street!). The food was hardly impressive either. The pizza was cold and on the dry side. Generous sizes, yes, but hardly worth the rude staff and ridiculous wait time. It sounds like these guys have earned a good name for themselves, but I can't fathom why. I'd hoped the first couple of bad experiences were a fluke, but they've yet to earn anything beyond single-star service in my book.

Great food, great friendly service! The Honey Garlic Chicken salad is awesome! They use mixed greens instead of iceberg lettuce like other places.

Pizza is good, similar style to Regina's without the brick oven. Not nearly as good as Santarpio's a few blocks away, but if you're in Day Square and want a couple of slices it's a good place to go. Subs and steaks are also respectable. As the guys there like to say, someday maybe it'll be called LaCoopa's and the Italian eatery will be relegated to local memory much like the Pony Lounge nearby, though with a pretty good business from the airport workers hopefully it'll stick around for some time to come.

Good pizza and awesome $8 pizza deal on Thursdays! Highly recommend the margarita pizza! My roommates got the sausage, mushroom and onion pizza and said it was amazing!

I ordered a large Hawaiian and a steak and cheese calzone through the online ordering system. Both came quickly(about half an hour) and were hot. The cheese stayed put and didn't slide all over the place. It's pretty traditional pizza but has the sauce to cheese ratio right, good amount of toppings and good crust. I will definitely order from here again.

Decided to try their pizza after seeing it on Social Media. Placed my order through Slice online. Requested curbside pick up. Does not exist and the woman who answered the phone was not nice at all. She did not care that their website says CURBSIDE PICKUP! Thank goodness I did not have a handicap because I would have had to have left. The pizza was good but nothing to write home about. My experience would have been better if they were nice. I will stick to pizza in the North End!

The Pizza is 4-star, the subs are 2-star, so this place suffers with a 3-star rating, unfortunately. But if you're in the area, and you want good take out pizza, give them a buzz. If you want a sub, go somewhere else. They're small, and not a good value. Cold subs like chicken salad and tuna salad taste bogus, and the hot subs are almost always overcooked. But you have to love the pizza! Almost on a par with Santarpio's, but DaCoopa's delivers!

The first time I went to DaCaoopas was about a month ago and the staff was very attentive. The slices weren't prepared as soon as I cam in and so I had to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes but it was worth it. The pizza was awesome! They put just the right amount of cheese and the sauce was delicious. Over the weekend, I ordered take out from them and the delivery was fast and friendly. Again, the pizza was fantastic! Their food is fresh and the toppings are plentiful on their pizzas. this little gem is a must for pizza lovers!

I decided to order a large cheese pizza with mushrooms, garlic and onions for delivery after reading some of these reviews. I was hoping that it would be as amazing as some of the images posted but I was sad to open the pizza box to see that my pizza was soggy and that most of my cheese and toppings had slid all over the place. The only positive thing that I can say was that they delivered my pizza in under 30 minutes? Maybe better luck next time?

This is probably my favorite pizza place, I've been coming buying pizza from here for over 5 years. Dacoopas is just an all around great pizza place, staff are cool and very respectful. The pizza is great especially the plain cheese . Ultimately I would recommend this place over Dominos plus their wait time for a pizza is 20 minutes and delivery ranging can be 30-40 min so an extra 10 or 20 depending where you live. That's why I recommend this place customer service is 100.

Been going here for over 20 years. Never once have i had a bad experiance, i basically dont even have to say who i am anymore as when Steve answers the phone he already knows.. Scott keep up the good work and to the rest of the crew thank you for years of wonderful service

Since the last review, Dacoopa's has actually refunded me for the order I was waiting on as I posted. They also took the time to actually reach out and apologize, as well as clarify on the conditions the driver was dealing with (I admittedly saw clear roads looking outside and didn't think much of it at the time). The fact that they stepped up and even reached out to apologize is enough to get me to raise the review, but the surprise refund was above and beyond and I never would have expected or demanded they go that far. As I stated in the previous review, the food is deserving of 4 stars, and now I can say the customer service, which is a major selling point to me, is a solid 5. These guys are alright in my book.

I don't live in East Boston, but I'm here often taking care of rental property, and decided to grab dinner here the other night. I am very happy to say that this was a great take-out experience. Easy ordering on their website, and quick pick up. The pizza was exactly what I could have wanted in take-out pizza. The bottom was well cooked and crispy, and held up to all the veggies that were piled on top. The cheese pizza was very good, with a good amount of cheese and not too salty. We don't order pizza often, as I'm usually disappointed with what local places offer. But I will def order this again should the desire for pizza strike!

I have gone here time and time again and have been continually disappointed. It is not so much disappointment with the food. It is with the delivery drivers. I have had drivers clearly under the influence. Cold food more than once. This last time I had a driver stand in front of my house and argue with me. I prefer to support local mom and pop establishments. But I will not order from dacoopas again.
