"A popular Houston barbecue truck is opening its first permanent spot on two acres near Katy Hockley Cut-Off and Clay Road, close to the Four Seasons baseball park. The rural site will feature a 1,500 sq. ft. barn-like dining room, an outdoor beer garden with park benches, a live-music stage, and a pond, designed to be kid-friendly for the after-game crowd. Run by Chef Randy Duncan and his wife Sylvia, the operation is built on a reputation for long lines and sellouts—Duncan, a Houston BBQ Throwdown champion, is known for a 14-hour smoked brisket that has been used in popular collaborations (including a brisket kolache at Glaze, brisket-topped pizza at The Pizza Shoppe, and dishes at Pappa Gyros, Proud Pie, and Texas Tradition). The menu at the new location will rotate about ten cuts of meat—examples include turkey, boudin, and ribs—sourced from Ruffino Meats in College Station, with sides and locally made bread and pickles; the spot will be BYOB initially and plans to serve beer on site. One of the best in Katy. It lived up to it’s name. We always buy here once or twice a month and their menu are always great. Great people, Great food! They also give discounts to Veterans, First responders and teachers too!

Food was incredible. I tried the lean brisket and it was still incredibly juicy and tender. The mac and cheese and the corn had great flavor. The pork belly burnt ends were my absolute favorite though. Perfect texture and an amazing flavor. 10/10 BBQ

I’ve been to a lot of barbecue places in Texas since I moved here from California, but I would have to say this is one of the best I’ve ever had since I’ve lived here for the past five years! Lots of flavor, not overly salty. Everything seasoned just right and the barbecue sauce is amazing. I had the brisket, beef cheek, Barbacoa and the pork belly burnt ends. I wish I had more right now. That’s how good it was. Both sides I had the mac & cheese, which was great no Velveeta was used. I also had the barbecue beans which was really good. The only thing that maybe my taste buds didn’t like in my opinion was the potato salad but everyone makes it different. It’s not something that would stop me from coming maybe just choose a different side also their prices are very reasonable. I got a three meat platter with three sides for $45, I highly recommend trying, daddy Duncan’s BBQ

Ordered 4 Katy Boxes: Sliced AND chopped briskets were phenomenal! Pork belly burnt ends were incredibly delicious! Omgosh the scrumptious chicken was out of this world! 🤤 Had all of the sides - YUMMY 😋 Everyone enjoyed a taste of most - and still have leftovers for later tonight and tomorrow … maybe a couple more days! Our order was completely to go - we had other plans and unexpectedly visited Daddy Duncan’s (SOO glad we did!) - but plenty, plenty, plenty of SHADED picnic tables to eat; serene and peaceful atmosphere

Our favorite go to BBQ spot. Been coming to Chef Randy for years. From Toddy Oaks, to Erma Rose, and now in Brookshire!!! No matter where he goes, the food is always amazing!!! Full of flavour and packed with deliciousness!!! Couldn't stop by without getting the loaded Baked Potatoe, BBQ Mac & cheese, chicken chefs special, pulled pork sandwich, and my favorite, the sweet potato mash!!!! All so good! Great catching up Chef Randy and we will see you soon!

Traveled down from MN and the local friend said this was THE place..... Loved the ribs, brisket, and baked beans! I cannot wait to visit again and try the dino ribs and more baked beans! BBQ in Minnesota will never be the same.

I am stunned - been wanting to try Daddy Duncan’s since moving to Katy proper, and was not disappointed today!!! I’ve had a lot of BBQ in my days across Texas and the USA and this is undoubtedly top 3. Huge portions, perfect tenderness, and flavor that is making my mouth water just writing this. Boudin links off the charts with just a bit of spice, and ribs that fall perfectly off the bone but not until you sink your teeth into them. An incendiary experience!!!

Some of the best bbq I’ve had, turkey leg with Mac on top was excellent! It has to be one of the best Mac and cheeses I’ve ever had, Such a great Smokey flavor and the sauce is perfection, sweet and tangy.

I called to see if they were open today and if they had the one thing I was craving...a bbq baked potato. The guy said yes we are and we have BIG potatoes today!!! He was very nice and texted me their address and Menu. When I opened the container I had no idea how much food was inside and immediately I said "oh wow, look at all this meat!" The potato came loaded with chopped brisket, pulled pork, sausage link, shredded cheese, butter, sourcream and bbq sauce! Everything tasted really good but I think I liked the pulled pork best. Aaaaaand it was well worth the $15 because this will definitely feed me at least 2/3 more times. Highly recommend.

Brisket fire!!!! Jalapeño boudin one of the best I've had...like ever! Service is friendly and they make a connection with their customers! They are located currently in old Katy behind silos with distillery and breweries around them which makes this a perfect spot. Only open on weekend and open until sold out which is all the time. Don't sleep on this food truck bbq local!

This place is definitely 10/10 The customer service was excellent and was very knowledgeable of the menu items. It's outdoor scenery and they do have tables for you to sit at. My mom and I shared this and we still have a lot leftover. The food was delicious. The price is worth it because of the portions they give you.

Last night I visited Daddy Dunkin's BBQ... WOW level amazing food. Got the Katy Box: Sliced brisket, Pork ribs, Sausage, Potato salad, Beans, spicy coleslaw, pickles and Jalapenos. Also had them add on a side of the Mac&Cheese and the Chili, just so I could taste all the things. The brisket was tender, juicy and smoky with great flavor... The ribs were huge! So tasty. The sausage was crisp, great flavor and melt in your mouth cheese included in it. All the side were pretty spectacular in their rights as well, most especially the beans (so much meat mixed into them) and the chili (brisket and ox-tail meat made this insanely good). Even snagged some of the 7up cake for dessert and to enjoy with the wine tasting I got on the side. SO happy to have been recommended over here... total convert, even going to get with them to buy a whole smoked brisket for later in the holiday season.

We ordered the Katy Box and the Texas potato , unfortunately my daughter and I who shared the potato which had sausage ,pulled pork and Brisket ,got sick after eating it ,I could tell something was a little off from the taste of the pork ,the other two meats were just ok ,we drove a good ways to come try it , unfortunately it just didn't meet our expectations,the service was great though

THE BEST BBQ food truck ever! Wow. Wonderful, pleasant people serve up absolutely delicious, unique versions of classics, as well as (what I believe is signature dish) marinated and smoked oxtails. Hubby and I had been wanting to try these, so we seized the opportunity when we were headed back to Conroe from San Antonio. We called ahead and spoke to "Daddy" himself to check hours and location. His food truck is located outside MKT Distillery in Katy - you can take the food inside or sit at the picnic table under the trees, as we did. The oxtails melt in your mouth - scrumptious! I can't say enough - check it out. Only open two days a week; Saturday and Sunday, 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Get there early before they run out! Almost forgot the bourbon bread pudding! Treat yourself!

This place it top to bottom good. Over the last few years I have virtually had everything on their menu one way or another. They come up with chef specials that are delicious, their homemade pickles are amazing, Dr Pepper oxtails, frito pies and the brisket is in another league. Their brisket is so good the have collaborations with 10 or so other restaurants in the Katy area that use their brisket inside of their dishes. This is a place you share with your friends and family! The atmosphere and demeanor of the staff are on point and he treats customers like family. Always asking questions of how it's been going and creating that small talk while he is busy crushing the BBQ scene. They can't be beat!!
