Dae Jang Keum

I went there because I was craving samgyetang. I ordered it, and the taste was about 70%. I wish it had been cooked longer. The samgyetang did include all the traditional ingredients—ginseng, jujube, chestnut, and glutinous rice. The service was very good, and the kimchi and kkakdugi were tasty. However, the other side dishes were a bit underwhelming.

Best experience I have ever had at any restaurant. Me and my husband went on Tuesday around noon and no one was there. I was very surprised because the food is fantastic and also very healthy and affordable. The waitress was so very nice it was our first time there so she cooked the meat for us. We had the meal for two which was just perfect for two people. I will be recommending people to eat here !!!

The food was ok, was expecting more flavor in bibimbap and the seafood pancake. Service was excellent, offering many options and great service!

This place was awesome. Incredible vibes with a large group. Super affordable. We had a work event here and the staff was very attentive and quick. Catered to all of our wants. Food was delicious too. Will be back for sure!!!

This place is very Korean, the theme was very enjoyable paring with unbeatable food. It was delicious, I enjoyed every bit of it. I finally get why Korean barbecue is so popular. The service too was amazing, we got here at 4-5 which is not very busy. Heck I even enjoyed the bathroom stall. Like what the heck America? It only takes a Korean barbecue place to know how bathrooms are supposed to be made. I don’t care what other review says but I’m coming back here. This place is a five star all day, every day.

I absolutely loved this place last night..the all you can eat special that is currently going on was amazing. The Wagyu slices on the grill?? UNMATCHED. I told them you’re gonna have to call security to get me to leave this place it was that good.

We were in Troy to shop at Hmart and got hungry for Korean food for lunch, so we found a restaurant right next door. It’s a Korean BBQ spot with a few other Korean dishes on the menu. My husband ordered the Kalbi and tofu soup combo—he enjoyed the grilled Kalbi with mushrooms and bell peppers, but thought the soup was just okay. I went with the spicy buckwheat noodles, which were good, though different from what I’ve had at other Korean restaurants. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, with plenty of BBQ tables and a large bar area.

I was not a fan of this location. My biggest turn off was the restroom. It smelled like it was backed up sewage in the women's restroom. The food at this location was not bad, but not my favorite. I had the bulgogi stew and it was quite different from when I order at other Dae Jang Keum franchise. It had a lot of extra items and were missing items that it typically has. The side dishes were kind of lacking and were not that good. The waitstaff was nice at least which was a plus. The best things was the cinnamon tea. That was something I have not had at the other location. It was such a refreshing tea.

First time was deliciously successful. Tried all sorts of items, enjoyed them all. Authentic tasty place I recommend.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times with visitors and for my birthday. The korean food here is very good, the family usually get the Korean BBQ Keum combo with the soup, Banchan, and the Meats, which have been consistently good everytime when we ate here. The staff got our orders correct, and I do love their steamed Egg in this restaurant. Very spacious place where there are many tables where you can cook Korean BBQ and can hold many people per table as guests. Overall 4.3/5

Was pleasantly surprised when we were able to book a party of 14 at 5:30pm for 6pm on a Saturday evening. Inside is very spacious and there were only four or five tables being served at the time. We were seated in a front section for bigger parties and the table setup was strange. There was a long section with the grill in the middle then just a metal bar and then the second table began with a six inch gap and just the metal bar. The second table also did not have a built in grill in the table but a portable grill was placed on top. It was a bit disjointed. By the time we ordered there were many more tables filled which the impact was immediately felt as there were not enough servers. They removed the portable grill (maybe as we had children near that side) and were cooking meat for us at an empty table behind us. At first some of the servers started cooking off the meat but then they were so busy that they weren't able to keep track of some of the meat and the pork belly was burned on one side. We weren't given new meat or offered a refund. I understand that they were quite busy. On to the food. Coming from Chicago where there is an abundance of Korean bbq the food was ok. The banchan was pretty tasty. Kimchi had a great spice and acidity to it. The steamed egg was soft and lush with egg flavor. The radish was sweet and tangy with a crunch. Standard potato salad and fishcakes. They had eggplant fried with rice flour that I have not had before. It lacked flavor but the rice flour texture was nice. The seafood pajun was done well as it was crispy with chew to the interior and decent amount of seafood. Had an order of jajameng and japchae for the kids and both were on the sweeter side but kids enjoyed them. The meat itself was pretty good. We went with bulgogi, kalbi and thick pork belly. We had asked for sesame oil and salt/pepper but sadly never received them given how busy they were. Only sauce provided was the fermented soy bean paste. We did receive a second round of banchan, but had to ask.

Delicious!!! We only tried appetizers but I will be back for the sizzling table experience. Super yummy and hot food. Rice cakes were great. Dumplings were 10/10.

This place has been our local go-to for Korean BBQ since long before the trendy new places arrived. I have taken family not used to ethnic (read: spicy) food and everyone can find something they like among the banchan side dishes and variety of meats. We usually start with a savoury seafood pancake. While grilling the meat, we especially like the pork belly simply seasoned with sesame oil and salt & pepper. I appreciate the "auntie" servers helping to grill when we have a big group. A nice touch is the cinnamon tea and cut fruit to end the meal.

Got in really quickly. Nice selection of meats and seafood for bbq. I like that they helped at the grill at the start but I wanted to do the rest myself and it seemed that wasn't the way to do it. Love all the sides, great kimchi! Parking is crazy with the two grocery markets in the same strip mall. Park away from the restaurant or risk your car getting dented from people parking too close to you or shopping cars ramming into you - or you getting hit by cars in the lot. It's nuts. Gratuity included regardless of party size so read your receipt carefully.

Been to a few Korean Bbq places in the area and this is by far my favorite. Its pretty big on the inside and it can get really busy on the weekends so expect a wait! We went with the combo for 2. It starts with your choice of dumplings or edamame, and steamed eggs, then 4 different meats - bulgogi, kalbi, bbq chicken and shrimp, all the sides and purple rice (which is so good). The meal ends with a cinnamon type drink. The food is cooked at the grill on the tabletop by staff and it comes out pretty quick. They also offer hot pots and food you can order if you're not looking for Korean bbq. I also ordered dumpling soup and hot green tea which was pretty good. The dumplings were really good and everything was filling and hearty which is what you expect at a Korean bbq place. On a side note, they do offer private karaoke rooms you can rent which is a really fun event with a group of friends!

Thank you for the great experience! My friends and I enjoyed the BBQ meats and all the wonderful side dish's! Service was great and we all enjoyed sharing and tasting the different meats. The spicy chicken, boneless ribs and Honey Pork were fantastic. For best flavor, make a reservation and request a table with the built in grill.

The service is absolutely TERRIBLE!! Placed online order, went to pick it up & they claimed they had nothing, I must have called wrong location. Showed the kid the order, claims wrong location again. Went to call, called and yes this was the right location. Went in again and this time spoke with who I assume was the mgr. looked at my order & claims somehow my order was missed & it will be at least another 25 minutes (already had been there 30 trying to find the order)

1. Idk what I had! My apologies as I was with friends who frequent Korea! 2. This was a great experience for me. I've never been to a Korean BBQ or even had Koren food fr. This was delicious!!! The oil stuff kinda taste just like sesame oil and salt but it was good. The customer service was great. Korean culture is for the youngest to serve which I loved, and the oldest is to pay (boooooo). The waiter was helping the youngest and it was great. I didn't take many pics, just videos lol I was elated and I can't wait to return!

First of all, if you're having BBQ please note they already charge 18% tips on your bill. Food was generally fine. Coming from Baltimore and LA this was really nothing to write home about but it wasn't bad. Service was quick and excellent. Portions and banchans were fine. The rice they used were a bit on the too moist side for my liking, but overall it was a fulfilling dining experience.

Frequent here often. Once minimum sometimes twice a month. They used to charge a service fee for gratuity. Now you have to tip. I tipped $10 cuz they didn't cook our food we did all you did was bring it out. After we leave, the waitress then comes outside to my car to tell me I HAVE TO TIP AT LEAST 18%. Last I checked nobody has to tip it's a courtesy. It is ILLEGAL to tell someone they have to tip you a certain amount. Cuz again if I had to IT WOULD BE A SERVICE CHARGE. I intend to report this and take it as far as I need to because to come outside and try and MAKE ME tip you $8 more is TRASHY and bad business. I come here so often I even send people there. Decent food but I guess if you don't get the tip you want it's okay to run outside and try to force a customer to tip you more.

Amazing food! Don't go near closing time tho, you will get horrible service because they want to turn the lights off and lock the door the second it hits their scheduled closing time. I'm sure if I went earlier the service would be better.

We've tried several of the Korean BBQ places in this area and find this to be our favorite. Prices are ok - it's always an expensive meal. Service can be hit and miss, but we got great service. Food was great - slightly better than the others. Recommended.

Enjoyed this experience although a bit intimidating and didn't ask as many questions as I should have. I was delighted at the little salads and dumplings were amazing! Enjoyed the hot pot - lots of different flavors and kept steaming hot on our table with a burner. There was a birthday event the night we were there and the lights went down and music was played! Will have to return and ask some further questions!

Alright. This was my very first time trying Korean Bbq. Had no idea what to expect. There's two options: you can order a meal where the meat is already cooked, or order the raw meet and cook it yourself or have the waitress cook it for you. At the table there lies a built in grill/hot top where you can cook the meat. Kimchi: 10/10 good rich tangy flavor and texture Vegetable Freshness: 3/10 Onions could have been a little more crispy, they were sort of stale. Still tasted fine. Oh my, the broccoli was fake news lol straight from a freezer bag and damp. Seriously for the price charged they should offer fresh vegetables, at a minimum. Meat Freshness: 6/10 it depends on what you get, the beef cuts and pork was ok, was probably stored frozen then thawed the day of. Did not have a lot of texture. Both Pork and Beef was extremely chewy and fibrous. Not a good sign. Portion Size: 1/10 They were very, very small. Regardless if it's a precooked dish or you do the cooking at the table. Flavor: 7/10 Value: (negative) -10 /10 Yes my rating scale is possible lol...So insanely high priced for the low quality of food and the microscopic tiny portions. I spend over $50 and was still hungry after. My group and I ordered a few pork, beef, and veggie dishes. The beef was very stringy/chewy similar to that of bubble gun, and lacked flavor, low quality cheap cuts. Pork quality and flavor was better but again, very tiny portion and impossible to chew. Overall an ok place, apparently this is how all Korean BBQ places are in Southeast Michigan. No excuse for the low quality meats and veggies plus the tiny portion sizes.

I was really looking forward to this meal, but it didn't go as I hoped. I was looking forward to having a nice cool Naengmyeon. While the menu called it simply "noodle soup" it clearly pictured Naengmyeon with transparent buckwheat noodles and choices of cold or spicy underneath it as would be expected when ordering Naengmyeon. What I got was some sort of salty ramen that didn't resemble the picture at all. I decided to try it because we had been there well over an hour before our meal came. It was really disappointing and not something that I would recommend or order again. Regarding our service I'm not sure what happened. We had been seated for 45 minutes with water and cutlery only while we waited for the rest of our party. We tried numerous times to get the attention of several staff members to no avail. While they made eye contact with us they never returned to our table to take our appetizer or drink orders. When service did finally begin it was pretty quick but not friendly. They added an 18% gratuity for a party of 5 which was pretty unexpected. I've eaten here before and had better service and better food but this trip was pretty awful and I'm not sure if I will return. If I do I will update my review.

I was very surprised and pleased with everything ordered at Dae Jang Keum! We were seated and served right away. Our drinks were brought out to us extremely quick and all the food was delicious. My favorite was probably the dumplings. They had a great crunch to them and also very tasty. But really everything was good! The atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Lots of families and groups of friends were also there.

The food was good everything was good except the bibimbap, there was no flavour in it. But the rest of the food was so fine. Absolutely loved it!

Our group of 4 did a last minute drop in before the dinner rush here and ordered the KBBQ for two item. It was PLENTY of food, especially when we ordered the seafood pancake too. The meat was very tender and the food was overall tasty and as we expected for KBBQ. Staff was very efficient and got the food quickly. Good for groups. In and out of the restaurant in one hour. Definitely would come back!

Akways a fave with friends or the fam. The BBQ for 2 is enough for 4 easily. Banchan apps are great . Support your local restaurants ! Eat!! Now I just looked at some of the poor reviews. They always harp on the service, etc. I've always found the service great. The staff friendly! The food super fresh! Complaining about not having your water refilled quick enough is a bit Karen to me. How about ... Buy a beverage. Also there are some tip complaints about the staff seemingly all from dissatisfied millennials which is a bit redundant . If they said something you probably short changed them. Ask your dad how much he tips when he springs for your dinner. I notice the reviewer mentioned what the server asked for, not what the diner left.....hmm. You probably should try Panda Express in the future and spare us your whining.

My sisters and mom and I came for dinner the day before Thanksgiving. It wasn't packed. You can cook your own food here but we opted out of that. Your hair can smell after eating in here... We ordered a few things to share: beef bulgogi, squid, soft tofu soup, seafood pancake, and dumplings. Everything was good! The beef bulgogi had a nice sweetness to it. We were stuffed and had leftovers for the next day. Service was good! They kept our waters filled and made sure we had everything we needed.

Food: Was just ok. Japchae noodles were a bit soggy. Bbq combo packages are not substitutable even if you offer to pay extra. Meat was decent. Not a lot of side dishes (6 for 2 people). Service: Don't expect courteous or good service. No smiles or welcomes. Soda and side dishes were not offered to be refilled. There were about 4 other tables and I saw at least 2 waitresses working. For two of us, we tried to order a variety of foods both BBQ and cooked but the waitress seemed to judge us and said "that's too much for 2 people" which I'm not sure is a cultural thing but we planned to take leftovers home. Venue: Spacious. They practiced good social distancing, seating us far apart. It didn't smell too strongly of bbq smoke since they had good ventilation. The floor was SO STICKY. You can hear your shoes stick every time you walked. When I pulled my chair closer to table there was something sticky under the chair.

Was a regular and recognized by the management until yesterday. We came in for lunch and when the bill came the manager let us know that she added the tip our bill and no need to tip since we come there often. After we paid, the waitress had the audacity to cause a scene in the restaurant and scream, "No tip! NO Tip!". After looking at the bill, the manager failed to include a service charge/tip on the bill thinking it was mistake. The manager had to chase us before leaving and apologize for over tipping due to the dumb waitress scene and promised we wouldn't be double charged and corrected the issue. Overall the damage had been done and I will no longer be returning there. Obviously I felt embarrassed by that waitress for causing that scene believing I failed to tip them for their work. Avoid this place at all cost!

Great service and super clean. I ordered the ice cold soup. It is served with ice in in. Very good broth and we had a nice selection of appetizers before the soup. Me and my father went and we checked out the little shop attached to the restaurant and got some Korean baked goods. You can BBQ at ur table. Very fun and unique menu. Look forward to going again.

Visited this spot with my family, we got the seafood stew, military stew, and some meat a la carte. The service was great, our server came and cooked our meat for us at the perfect time. The ban chans were good! Wish I had a pic of the steamed egg but that thing was huge and sooooo fluffy. Soups: Military stew - 2/5 tasted like a kimchi stew. Too much kimchi flavor and was super sour for my liking. Seafood stew - 5/5 very good flavor and doesn't have too much of a seafood smell. Meats: Marinated short ribs - 5/5 perfect marinate prime rib - 6/5 soooo marbled pork belly - 4/5 thick and juicy

We tried this Korean BBQ for the first time and my taste buds were so happy! We ordered the Course for Two with beef, chicken and shrimp. The staff were super helpful in preparing the meat and cooking it properly at the table. What fantastic flavor, especially the beef with a tasty marinade! Plentiful sides accompanied the main course, along with purple rice. Our drinks were refilled quickly and the staff checked on us frequently. This was a fun meal!

Disgusted. A genuine humiliation for Korean community in Michigan. 1. Unhygienic: flies everywhere. Sticky tabletop. Tables not getting cleaned for the longest time. 2. Rude service: male server rolled his eyes and murmured behind his mask when asked to bring some more sauce. What could a server possibly murmur in front of a customer? When he was asked what that was about, he completely ignored and walked away. Called him three times when he walked by and still got ignored And we were still charged with an automatic 18% gratuity. What a joke.

Haven't been here since the pandemic began but it's just as good as I remembered. We had a party of 7 adults and 2 toddlers and we got the biggest and smallest bbq combo which was enough food. They cook it right in front of you and I love the side dishes (ban chan) we're healthy additions. If you love meat and you love spicy and you love Asian food, you will definitely love this!

I love coming here every week with friends! They love Korean barbecue. We love the beef brisket and bulgogi the most! So delicious and I love their grills!

I've been California KBBQ spoiled and this place is too bland for my taste buds. Its not unlimited so look at the menu carefully to accommodate your party size. Me and my bf got the lowest price selection and it was plenty for 2. This place does not serve kimichi, a staple in every kbbq place!! Disappointed. They serve this purple rice which taste like brown rice...not a fan. Sides include: purple marinated onion, fish cake slices, egg plant, salad, mash potatoe with apple chunks inside, egg in clay pot. We ordered japchae and it was greasy and BLAND, mushrooms were overcooked and rubbery. We had good service, our server cooked our meats for us. I don't know if that is the norm or the fact that there was only two parties in the restaurant so they just wanted something to do? The meats were disappointing, bulgogi was bland too. Only ONE dipping sauce? I asked for chilli sauce, they brought me a bottle of siracha... This is probably the lowest quality of KBBQ food experience. Not worth my wallet. Rather go to the supermarket next door and cook my own!

We went to Dae Jang Keum yesterday for some Korean BBQ. We got the "Jang" meat tray of beef brisket, beef kalbi, pork belly, and spicy pork shoulder. It was eventually brought out by a cute robot with cat ears. There's little more that I can say positive, though. The service and amenities left a lot to be desired. The first red flag was when I asked for ice water with lemon and was told that there was no ice. My daughter ordered a lemonade. There was ice in it. So, at a restaurant where we're spending WELL over $100 for 3 people, they won't pay for ice since the drink was free. Additionally, the lemonade was bland and watered down even after my daughter shared some of her ice with me. Later, she asked for more napkins for the table, and we were gicen 2 napkins for 3 people. It's insulting and cheap. My wife ordered a seafood soup. It was light on seafood and flavor. The waitress also didn't bring the included rice out with her, apparently seeing that we all had rice, but it's included in the price of the soup. The banchan was also pretty bad. The salad had wilted spots and some of it tasted underwashed. The kimchi was bland. The fishcake had no flavor and even lacked texture. The only thing that tasted good was some pickled cauliflower mix. We didn't ask for refills, but we also didn't get offered any. When we got the check, I nearly double-tipped because the gratuity was added for having a barbecue table. I normally tip more than the 18%, but not being told about it either beforehand or afterhand left a bad taste in my mouth. I crossed out the second tip and left it at 18%. I was not happy, and I'm normally pretty easy to please. Overall, I would say that this restaurant gets by with a primo location next to H-Mart. Otherwise, avoid it. It's just not that good and shockingly bland. The korean bbq was good, though. Credit where it's due, but it's pretty hard to mess up freshly-cooked meat.

I'm in Downriver and so whenever I type KBBQ on my handy dandy yelp app and this is the closest that comes up. So a family gathering came up and they said we were coming here for dindin. I was excited AF. There was 7 of us and we ordered the 2 set for 3 combos. Banchan: was really good, but then you can't really go wrong with pickles and such. Steamed Egg: That was actually really good. Make sure to use caution when consuming this dish as it is super hot KBBQ: This portion of the meal is the main event. The meats were definitely super good. Prime rib was superb, beef brisket is superb, pork belly is out of sight and the spicy bbq pork is the perfect ending. Remember, proper way to eat kbbq is to turn it into lettuce wraps. Put a little gochujang on it and I'm in kbbq heaven. T he service is pretty good. They kept checking up on us and made sure everything was good to go. I would definitely come back because of my pleasant experience. And for that, 5 stars. Thank you so much for reading my review. Hubby and I ordered the BBQ meal for 2, and it was more than enough food. Bossy ladies cook your food for you if you're new to this, as we were. All the side had something fermented about it, so if you can't do fermented foods, just eat the meat rolled up in the lettuce wraps. The beef and shrimp were by far the best tasting, followed by the pork, and the chicken was eh. It looks as if they have a full bar, so I asked for a gin soda and lime. They don't have fruit she said. WTH? So we split a Korean Beer (which was a German Pilsner???) and a bottle of Soju (like rice wine but sweeter). We wok'ed out of that place smelling like food which I don't like, especially since I was dressed cute, and had my good fall jacket on which I can't get the smell out of. Will definitely try this place again for their Hot Pots' which looked warm and inviting.

I have been going to this korean restaurant for years! I love their banchan and soups! They also have tangsuyuk(sweet and sour pork) which is a must-have! The only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars is because the jajangmyeon is too oily. I've had jajangmyeon many times but their version is the oiliest. Overall, I love this korean restaurant and their staff is amazing!

There are so many Korean restaurants located within just a couple miles away from each other. So, what sets Dae Jang Keum apart from the others? 1. The interior. They have bottles of wine displayed with a blue/purple light. This will be one of the first things you will notice when you walk in. 2. The service. On your birthday, they will turn off all the lights to the restaurant and play the birthday song for you. You'll have to provide your own cake though, and they'll put it in the fridge in the back.. and light it with a candle when they bring If back to you. 3. There is a karaoke joint right next door! They even offer you a discount if you choose to go. I've actually been before and it's so much fun!! Not to mention H Mart is also just right next door (huge Korean grocery store!). 4. They are not stingy with their side dishes (banchan) here. My personal favorites include the watercress, fish cake, and the braised potatoes. You can get unlimited refills! 5. The steamed egg that comes with the BBQ combo is the best!!! At the other Korean restaurants, it is usually burnt or doesn't come with the combo. 6. They use charcoal here for their BBQ! I personally find it better than the hot plates they use at the other restaurants (this way the meat doesn't burn). The pork belly is the best! The meat is tender and reasonably priced. You'll also have a lot of leftovers to take home. 7. Soup dishes actually come out hot.. as well as the bimbimbap! Must get their seafood pizza as an appetizer-- worth the try! I've eaten here on a date with my boyfriend, with a couple of friends, with my parents, and even celebrated my birthday here once with a group of twenty people. I leave each time with my belly full and a happy customer! What's more to ask for?

I really like this place as it gives that true authentic Korean food and kbbq. The place is spacious as it is sectioned off into BBQ place or non BBQ. Also there is party section as there are always a Korean get together. Do not forget to sign in the list when you first walk in. This place can be a long wait and the servers can be a little slow but it is worth the wait! The waiters are super nice and they try make each customer happy! They (of course) provide free banchan and there are refills (SO ASK FOR MORE)! Outside the kbbq menu they have really good cold noodles and spicy jampong (do not know how to write it in English). I would recommend non Koreans to try it because it is authentic Korean food. Now I do not think I will need to go to the east or west side to eat Korean food because Michigan has now their own mini Korean town here! Tip: come before the rush hour!

Great experience. We went as a group of 6. It was fun to order a variety of meats and taste everything. Great service and assistance with the cooking. Every meat was delicious! The beef bulgogi was a crowd favorite. We left stuffed, and we will definitely be back again!

I've got to say best Korean bbq ever! The service is so nice, especially if you go during the day when it's slower! The server I'm thinking also manager was so sweet too, she was an older lady. The meat quality was delicious, and marinated meat was on point! My husband was impress! It was his first time there!

Quality of food: 4 stars Value for the money: 3 stars Variety: great Service: ranges from good to bad Been coming here since it opened. It tastes great. All your staple korean food and korean BBQ. The unique factor is charcoal. They use that for their BBQ courses. Even the left over is amazing the next day. Now, service is an entirely different animal. Sometimes, you can't even finish your coke before it refills. You always get your food cooked and separated nicely by the waitress. Have your side dishes replenished multiple times. Sometimes, they just drop of your food and NEVER come and visit you again. You get to go get your own side dishes, you get to get your own refills, you cook all the meat yourself, you have to ask for the grill change, etc. Basically it looks like you are completely forgotten. This does not just happen when they are busy, even when they are not busy, you may still experience no service. I had a waitress demanding (rudely) 15% tip when I received 0 service and my friend had to cook all the food and had cinder from the charcoal flown into his eyes and face. I like this place. But the service here is a roll of dice. The price on the largest meat set for BBQ went from $89 to $135 now. Making it unfriendly to visit. The price hike will drive many customers away. I understand there are shortages, hope the price will come down later.

We decided to try something new for a night out without the kids, and ended up here. It's a beautiful space, they were finishing up some work when we visited. It seems like you're on your own in terms of figuring out what to order, but they have a good amount of explanation. We ended up getting a 2-person meal, and that included a ton of food. The staff helps cook things, reaching across you to flip things and cut food up with scissors. We liked all the meats, and most of the sides. By the time we left, the place was pretty full. It's nice to have a unique place like this in our"menu."

Overall score 4/5 I usually come during dinner time for the BBQ combo which the service can be hit or miss since it's always busy, but during this visit I came during lunch time 2-3pm. There were a few tables there but the servers were very attentive to us, everything came out fast and fresh. The banchan was excellent, came out quick and were all the favorites. I love their house salad, if I can take the dressing home I would. We got the BBQ Dae combo for 2 that included pork belly, bulgogi, and beef brisket. It came with the rice and steamed egg. We also ordered the Korean seafood and green onion pancake and the Kimchi soup. All the items were excellent. I usually don't eat everything and have to take home the food but for whatever reason today, we killed everything including the banchan. The BBQ items were cooked well today, everything was juicy and tender. The soup hit the spot. The pancake was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Again, not sure why it tastes way better today... This is probably my 10th time here. When I want BBQ I'm usually at this spot and then if it's for the Korean dishes (e.g bipnbop) I'm at the other spots around Maddy Heights. Come here with your friends, you won't regret it.

The Korean BBQ is pretty good. I had better. Their side dishes are also decent. The dessert drink (ginger slush tea) is delicious and refreshing. Had to keep repeating ourselves and asking to refill our waters or other things. I like the modern interior though. More spacious between tables. Update: just came back for my brothers birthday and our Waitor was super nice and helpful and he actually sang along to happy birthday. Though the waitress who was helping him was not that great. She got rid of our vegetables we were grilling when we had to change grills. She supposedly gave sass when we asked to do the birthday thing also. I understand from being Asian that they don't mean the sass sometimes and it's just how they talk but she kept saying "one minute one minute". The kimchi hot pot was decent. I have nothing to compare it too though. I always love the ginger tea they usually give at the end. Sometimes you have to ask for it though (it might not always come as part of your meal. I do know it does when you get the combo kbbq). The Waitor was the best service I ever received from here.

This place was sooo awesome! Where do I start? It almost feels like the unlimited feast in Frankenmuth! We ordered a dinner for 2. It was with 4 meats, 5 vegetables, and desert. What we didn't know? They cook the meat! Lol.. we started trying to flip our meat and stopped. The women that was working with us ushered over and took over. As I sat there I realized she was the one that was suppose to flip our meat because after all.. she had control of the flame and temperatures. Oops.. We started with honey chicken and pork belly. It was soooo good. There was salad and dumplings a plenty as well. I do have to say that the salad was my favorite! The dressing whatever it was so delicious. What else we didn't know was that the basket of big leaves of lettuce. Upon research you are to make little pockets and eat like that. So, you palm a lettuce leaf, add some sauce, I put the onion salad, then a few pieces of meat and kimchi on top, rolled it up into a pocket and shoved it down the hatch. Success. The sirloin and shrimp were also very, very good!! They put onion, mushroom, and a few pieces of sweet potato. Yum! Added those to a few pockets as well. But the best was yet to come. At the end they bring out this cold cinnamon sweet tea. It was out of this world. I'm going to research this after this review. It was so sooo good. We will for sure be back. 5+ stars. I'd also like to add, our server and anyone that helped us out were great! They were prompt and just a great place.

Came here the other day, not that busy. Sat down, watched everyone( which was a couple and a couple people) who came in after us getting plates and drinks. We tried getting their attention and they were just standing and talking to each other. after waiting for at least 20 mins, we just finally leave. No communication and rude.

If I could give them 0 star I will. They're so rude. I had paid for the meal and the tips and then the old lady with short curly hair was chasing me and my hubby after we stepped out the door to ask me give more for the tip even i had tipped them 15% of the bill. Normally i always tip 20%+ but i am not really happy with the taste because its so sweet So i just tipped them 15%. How come they can chase me down and ask for more???? Its so ridiculous!!!!!!!!! I will never come back here again and i had left with disappointments. I didn't want to argue with her after she had asked me tip more rudely. She pointed her finger and said i have to tip more than 20%. She definitely ruined my dinner
