Best Oyster Restaurants and Bars in London | Eater London

"Richard Corrigan is a man responsible for not one but two entries on this list and, all things considered, it’s fairly safe to say that the fella is mad for oysters. Jersey Rock, Colchester and West Mersea native oysters can all be found on the menu at his latest restaurant on Old Street. Just don’t squeeze any lemon into a native on his watch — that’s a cardinal sin in his eyes." - Lucas Oakeley

Very very good food, that makes you so happy that you want to return asap!! The ceviche was so fresh. Everything was delicious, can’t wait to try the other dishes next time!

We came here on Saturday for dinner and the food was mostly good. The starters stood out as the highlight of the meal, while the mains were satisfactory but not particularly impressive. Between the two of us, for the starters, we shared the scallops (amazing flavour), beef tartare (really good especially with the bone marrow) and the pork belly with clams (really juicy and tasty) and for the mains, we shared the miso butternut squash (could have had more miso flavour) and the butterflied mackerel satay (good size but lacked a bit of flavour) with a side of hispi cabbage. For dessert, we shared the blackberry soft serve which was light and fresh. The service was friendly but at times it was a little slow and not as attentive.

Thoroughly enjoyable long lunch for work on a Tuesday!! Bumping atmosphere which was a pleasant surprise for Tuesday lunch. I went liver parfait, monk fish, chips and white wine. Loved it! Will be back!

Fantastic lunch here. Great selection of small bites and sharing plates to start, followed by beautifully presented mains. All ingredients very fresh and packed a punch. Soft serve ice cream for dessert, sounds so simple, utterly divine with either a fruit or nut accompaniment, it's a must try in my opinion. We dined mid week at lunch time, it was fairly quiet. Service was very attentive and genuine. Fantastic Irish bar downstairs, excellent cocktails, great atmosphere.

Great food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. A bit loud for my taste and I wish they had more vegetarian options.

Friendly and welcoming staff; lovely and flavoursome food; romantic ambience 👍 I especially recommend the following dishes: • mash 🥔 • black pudding croquette 🫓 • ceviche 🐟 • fried chicken 🐔 • lamb shoulder 🐏 • Irish coffee ☕ • chocolate peanut butter cookie 🍪 The ones that could be improved: • beef tartare was actually nice, but the toasted bread that came with it was soft, meaning it wasn't quite fresh enough • the burger 🍔 was nice but fell short of expectation Overall, a lovely meal. Thank you for having us.

My wife and I did not enjoy our experience here and we felt like our presence was tolerated rather than welcomed. Several things grated: nothing to clean hands on after the prawns, bread slightly raw, simultaneously slow and brusque service. Instead of being offered a main course, we were presented with a dessert menu! We were happy to leave. One of the more disappointing and poor value meals I have had in London.

We had a great time here - the food, drinks, service, and ambience were all top notch! We had a party of around 10 people and were seated at a long table. Our server asked us how we wanted to plan out the meal and she ended up suggesting all of our menu items with some special accommodations for our friends who were vegetarian / pescatarian. It was perfect because we didn't have to think about anything and everything was delicious.
