Excellent service from the staff, great atmosphere. Food is good, slightly too salty personally, but flavorful. I will revisit with my wife next time.

I had my father's 90th birthday in the bar area. We had an amazing time, the food was great, and the service was on point. D'Agnese's staff does a great job.

Google
Our first experience at Lunch and we know their dinner meals are always the best. I can’t wait to go back and try another amazing meal. We had the cod and chicken piccata. We will be back again and again

Had my birthday dinner with friends and family at this place, and let me tell you; each one of them loved it. They all praised my choice of going with this restaurant for a classy birthday dinner. The service was exceptional, servers were kind and efficient. Our orders were taken immediately after the party arrived and the food came in fresh and hot. Prices are reasonable which only makes the restaurant worthy of praise. This is the best Italian food in Akron area, that has the best ambiance and best prices. For all Akron locals and those visiting, this is your place for great Italian food.

We had a lovely Italian dinner here. The eggplant dish was delicious, and there were lots of great dessert options. Our server Lukas was friendly and helpful — he even walked us over to the dessert counter to help us choose. Great food and great service. We definitely recommend!

Google
The restaurant was elegant and I would consider it elevated dining. The food was marvelous. I had the beet salad with tomato basil soup. Everyone in my party was delighted with their food order as well. Well done! I highly recommend this place!

Google
I had the crab cake appatizer, which was absolutely delicious, and the saricha aioli was bomb! I had the grilled salmon entree. I'm not a fan of artichokes or squash, but they absolutely work in these dishes with the sauce. The salmon dishes are always on point. I also had a peach Martini 🍑!!!

Food was amazing. Service was excellent. We had a 3 yo blond granddaughter with us that makes everything better. Wait staff loved her. (She behaved this time).

Yelp
My mom, grandma & I recently went to D'Agnese's before we took in a show in downtown Akron. The ambiance is relaxed & comfortable, and you'll pass a case of tasty looking cakes & assorted treats as you approach the hostess stand. The menu consists of classic Italian dishes and has enough variety that everyone will be able to find something that appeals. I got an appetizer of arancini, which came out fresh & crispy and was enjoyable. The portion was generous too, with 4 fairly large risotto balls. My grandmother ordered the parmesan crusted cod which came served with risotto and asparagus. It was on special and she reported that it was excellent. My mom and I both ordered the gnocchi with sausage & broccoli. I thought this dish was a disappointment - it was visually unappealing and the sauce looked more like a gravy than a lemon cream sauce - though my dining partner enjoyed hers more. For dessert, we split a creme brulee that had a nice strong flavor of orange and was enjoyable. Our server was efficient & friendly and we had ample time to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace and still take off for the show on time.

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant in the White Pond area. Sunday night Rez. It was nice they were open for our group of 8. 1) very good service. 2) Caesar was excellent. 3) carbonara special could have used more sauce and the peas were over cooked. 4) nice Chianti by the glass 5) nice tiramisu Bathroom was exceptional. Thank you!

Yelp
Great! This is where the locals go! Menu is vast with something for everyone! Gluten free options as well. House bread is delicious! Location is convenient! Kendra our server was knowledgeable about food and had great recommendations. Restaurant was cute with outdoor seating available weather dependent. If in the area would go back! German Chocolate cake delicious! The pork chop spot on!

Yelp
Great service, plenty of delicious choices, cozy atmosphere, what more can you ask for for a great meal with friends on a Saturday evening? HUGE portions, from the apps (we had baked artichoke and arancini) and salmon, ravioli, gnocchi, and eggplant parm. entrees. All WONDERFUL... Come hungry, it's a great spot for a dinner with friends, special occasion, or just a regular night out. Definitely something for just about everyone... Veg. choices were great, including my eggplant parm. Be sure to save room for their tempting desserts!! Check them out if you're in the area...

Yelp
D'Agnese's is a great place for dinner, or even lunch during the week. The service is nice, and they start you off with bread and this delicious Balsamic dressing with a roasted garlic clove in it. Their D'Agnese's Chicken, with lemon butter sauce is my favorite thing on the menu, with a side of the linguini with garlic and oil sauce. I also like that they have a patio area for nicer days.

Yelp
There were three of us at dinner and we all enjoyed what we ordered. One of us got the parmesan encrusted cod, which was served over a bed of risotto and asparagus. The other two of us ordered gnocchi with sausage and pine nuts, which was deliciously savory. We split an appetizer of arancini, which we all enjoyed. D'Agnese's is in the middle of a plaza and so we didn't know what to expect when we walked in, but it was upscale with an elegant vibe. Our server was super friendly without being pushy and service was quick but not aggressively so. We finished our dinner by splitting a creme brulee that was one of the best any of us are here in a long time. The restaurant is only a 15-minute drive from downtown Akron, so it's a good choice to kick off a night out on the town.

Yelp
We were able to get in without a reservation. I might suggest making one as they were fairly busy on Saturday night. We sat in the lounge area which was very comfortable and we had sports on the TV's! I started with a roasted beet salad which was truly amazing. In my world anything with beets is worthy. My entree was gluten free pasta with marinara and sausage. Excellent sauce. I accompanied this with a Peach Basil Sangria. I loved the fresh fruit in the drink which of course included peaches.

Yelp
D'Agnese's was a pleasant surprise!! We came here on recommendation by our ROTC handler while visiting the home of the Zips. The location was kind of out there, not in the greatest neighborhood, but definitely not the worst. The waitress Michelle was awesome. We had the wedding soup, chezorino chicken, broccoli and chicken alfredo, coffee, and tartuffo (All to die for!!) Really unique flavors in all the dishes. Now the coffee was just a cup of coffee. The ambience was ok but the eye sore out the back window was a removed sink and counter that has been there awhile hence the tall weed grow around it in plain sight. All in all great experience coming from Cbus to lil ol Akron, keep up the great work chef. . Enjoy

Yelp
We have dined here many times in the past. We have always had a very positive experience. This visit was no exception. The food was excellent, so much so that we almost always order the same thing. You might say, stick with a winner. The fried artichokes are always very tasty and they make several excellent and reasonably priced veal dishes. We had a beet salad this time and enjoyed it. There was one notable difference at this visit. It was my wife's birthday and our server did a marvelous job of bring out a delicious chocolate desert with a candle just at the right time. I don't know how many times and at some really fancy places they managed to forget or ruin the surprise. The way our server handled the birthday made the trip worthwhile.

Yelp
Busy Mother's Day weekend dinner Service was excellent, thanks Maribell (spelling?) Started with special recommended Wine ( a cabernet) and the Artichoke appetizer. Fantastic wine, the Artichoke hearts were light, lemony and delicious. Our table had a variety of entrees, shared- Eggplant, Veal D'Agnese, Fettucini Alfredo All were wonderful. The eggplant parm was light, crispy, and creamy sweet. My favorite. The Veal D'agnese is always a favorite, tonight I had my side pasta with the lemon butter, which will be my go to from now on. We finished with several desserts- Loved the coconut cake, and all the Cheesecake varieties (Generous portions!) A great night out for Mother's day Thank you all, job well one!

Yelp
Great restaurant in Akron off of White Pond. We love the D'Agnese's in Broadview Heights, so we were happy to try this location. Nice looking place with a large number of tables. We had a party of eight and they accommodated us without a problem. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The food was very good. I ordered the pan seared scallops with risotto. The scallops were perfectly cooked, light pan sear on the outside yet still soft and easy to eat. The risotto was delicious. We shared a beet salad which was delicious and unique. Certainly only for beet fans, we loved it. My gf had the chicken Marsala and raved about the dish. Her meal came with a pasta side: a simple spaghetti with marinara. So delicious. I love their sauces. We'd definitely return if in the area. Good food and service.

Yelp
My husband and I have eaten here a few times. We sat at the bar each time. We get served but not as quickly as you'd imagine for sitting at the bar. Each time we asked for something, the server would go down other things and then eventually get us whatever we needed (Parmesan cheese, extra salad dressing, drink refills, etc). My husband had a seafood pasta he enjoyed and I tried the Alfredo. I didn't like the sauce - it was very greasy and not flavorful. I didn't eat mine and the server never asked why or if they could get me something else instead. I'll come back because I think this place has potential but I'll definitely order something else next time - the ravioli looked pretty great!

Yelp
I went here for dinner and even with a full house the service is beyond spectacular! If you haven't dined here previously you must try this restaurant! An important side note, it's highly recommended that you make reservations in advance. The Fettuccine Alfredo is amazing and the best part is that unlike Olive Garden you don't feel like you need a nap after eating it. You don't have to worry about overpriced entrées either. You get a nice classic Italian ambiance with realistic prices. It's a hidden gem in Akron!

Yelp
Great place! We were meeting some family and we ended up staying over 2 hrs. Meal was fresh, tasty and served on time. The veal was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. One of the best restaurants in Akron. The bar looked like a great place to watch a game too.

Yelp
We dined here on Saturday, August 12, 2023. I had the grilled salmon and my husband had something like a chicken piccata. The service was very good. I was happy to see they even had one mocktail on the menu, which I would have ordered (because I'm a non-drinker), but it contained ginger beer and mint, both of which I don't like. So I gave the server my own margarita mocktail recipe and the bartender did a very good job making it. As for the food, my salmon with risotto was just okay. I had to ask for salt and pepper to give it a little more flavor. My husband said his chicken dish was very good. The best part of the meal was dessert, banana cheesecake! It was amazing.

Yelp
Food and service were great! Ambiance is nice, very cozy and Italian. We had a table of 6 in a corner and it was very loud and hard to have a conversation at normal speaking levels. But I would definitely come back and would like to sit in the lounge bar area. There were plenty of menu options for every kind of diet. We had a birthday celebration and were surprised with two cannelloni's with a candle. I remember going to the original restaurant in seven hills 40 years ago!!!!

Helen G.

Yelp
My family had dinner on May 24, 2025. We had appetizers and drinks, which both were very good. Our dinners were fantastic and our server could not have been any better. We had yummy desserts to finish off our meal. We always come at this time every year to celebrate birthdays, and are never disappointed.

Yelp
This was underwhelming to put it politely. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was very basic. Granted it is a basic dish, but thats one reason it should be easy to make it taste superb. The appetizer was not hot. It was maybe just kind of warm. The atmosphere is not bad. The music isn't too loud, though I was surprised there wasn't a better choice of music. Perhaps some Italian artists would be nice. But like everything else it was pretty basic. And basic is not bad thats why Im giving it 3 stars. But it wasn't something I would try again my husband on the other hand liked it. He loved his shrimp linguine pasta and loved the cheesecake. The waiter was polite. All in all it wasn't bad but I make better pasta at home. Perhaps I just didn't order the best dish. I like to keep it simple, just not basic.

Sophia R.

Yelp
The service is very good very polite. Their food is out of this world no matter what you get. Everything is very good. I definitely recommend them.

Yelp
Sunday, April 7, 2024, will forever be known as a triumphant dining experience from beginning to end. My best friend and I enjoy getting together to explore great dining options whenever we are together. Our server, Blayke, was very attentive to our needs and made phenomenal suggestions on the appetizers and drinks/wine. We decided to order the calamari and the April special, which included a goat cheese and asparagus tart. WOW! Both of the appetizers were out of this world, and Blayke also brought us house baked bread and a delicious dipping sauce of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and a roasted garlic clove. Simply marvelous. My friend ordered one of the April featured cocktails and a glass of wine with dinner. Speaking of dinner, we again asked Blayke to provide us with some recommendations. Blayke spoke highly of all of the food and asked us what we were thinking about. I was torn between the scallops and the chicken piccatta. My bestie was torn between the scallops and the seafood pasta. Blayke started that the chicken piccatta is one of his favorites, followed by the scallops. I chose the chicken piccatta, and my friend went with the scallops. Both of us were blown away! My chicken dish came with artichokes and roasted red peppers on it with a side of pasta. The scallop dish came with lemon risotto and broccolini! Such a decadent meal we had! Both of us were very satisfied with our meals, yet we knew we wanted to share a dessert. We opted for the lavender Creme Brulee, which was light and the perfect end to the best meal we have had together! The food, ambiance, and stellar service and leadership that Blayke provided made this an outstanding dining experience, and we look forward to returning to sample more of the phenomenal menu!

Yelp
Quiet... I was told you have to dress up... I over did it lol. Just dress casual. Nice intimate place I like the clean linen tablecloths the lighting it nice dated but still nice reminds me of old money lol The food was served hot needs more flavoring (very bland) but when I looked around the other patrons seem to be like it but I did see ppl use a lot of salt I'm not a salty person ( no pun intended lol) The waitress seems knowledgeable of menu and knew a lot of the customers. I probably won't be back unless I'm on date and if they have the live band I heard so much about~ Bathroom was clean, lots of parking

Yelp
Food was fantastic. The noise level was almost unbearable. Would not go back because you can't have a conversation.

Yelp
I have tried a lot of Italian places while living in Philadelphia but on a weekend trip to the Cleveland/akron area I had to stop at one of my favorites. D'Agnese's always makes you feel like you're eating at your nonna's house but also in a fine dining atmosphere. The best of both worlds honestly. The D'Agnese chicken (lemon butter sauce) is always the star of the show in my opinion but others at the table ordered chicken Marsala, veal Marsala, chicken saltimbocca, and chicken Parmesan. Everyone had amazing things to say about their dishes and the portion sizes are notably large! The appetizers we got were fried calamari (a family favorite) and arancini (recommended by the server) both were AMAZING. The service was solid for a completely packed restaurant and we truly had a kindest service even given how busy he was with both the bar and some tables. Also, we only booked the reservation the day before and they found a way to make sure we could get in even given how busy they were, which was very appreciated. We love visiting this restaurant as a family and have continued to come here for years. Why have I never posted a review till now? Not sure. But ultimately I will continue to crave the D'Agnese Chicken until my next visit to the Cleveland Area.

Pamela K.

Yelp
Food is great service always very good can be a little pricey. The ambiance is very nice.

Jewel M.

Yelp
The restaurant was nice and clean. It felt very fancy! Our server was incredible and would refill our drinks quickly. The food was okay, personally was not a big fan of their marinara sauce. The crab cakes were soft and moist. My husband enjoyed their lasagna but was not a big fan of the red sauce either.

Scott B.

Yelp
Food is excellent. The balsamic bread dip is addicting. Had the pasta and it was very tasty and generously portioned.

Yelp
We live really close to this place and haven't been there for years. Tonight I remembered this restaurant on yelp and decided to make a reservation. Oh my gosh, the food was amazing. We are definitely coming back! The Deangelis chicken was incredible and is a new favorite for me. I will say their wedding soup has something very special going on inside their bra and I am a big fan.

Yelp
M- the meal was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The service was attentive. We came in behind a table of 25 so we waited with hors d'oeuvres until our food showed up. We had meatballs and cheese squares to start. i had the beet salad and chicken Parmesan. For dinner the marinara was slightly over seasoned but tasty. The deserts look good but we had too much time into the meal by then. It was a bit pricey but I never let that be a problem when you walk away full and satisfied. I will return on a less busy night to compare and maybe leave room for desert. Elevated Italian food with a complete wine selection. This is not tony parasson's so bring your wallet.
google avatar

Randy E.

Yelp
One of the best pork chops I've ever eaten. Wonderful atmosphere, waitresses were excellent.

Yelp
Let me start this off by saying that I am frustrated. I have had D'Agnese's countless times working across the street. I'm usually a chicken parm guy but I decided to change it up today and let me tell you, it was a mistake Don't get me wrong, the chicken parm is great and I assume from other reviews that the rest of the menu is decent as well. However, the pizza is almost non edible. I flipped a coin today and decided to get a Sicilian pizza, now being Sicilian and a member of a very Italian family, I can assure you this was the worst pizza rated by any tastebud. The cheese was barely melted, the crust was that of a baguette pulled off the shelf at your local Walmart, and I asked for no olives and guess what... YEP, it had olives! With this being said, I will be happy to go back for the chicken parm and grab a Peroni or two and hell the carrot cake as well... but as far as a pizza, I'd stay far away.
google avatar

Derek T.

Yelp
Specials are always rotating. So nice to sit outside in the summer. Great staff. Always fresh and tasty.
google avatar

Virginia S.

Yelp
Food is always good- wish they would vary the menu occasionally. Service is very nice
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
First time here after hearing about it for awhile. I'd say one of the better Italian restaurants in the area. Not bad on price and the place is nice. Servers were good and at 5pm on a Saturday it wasn't crowded. By the time we left it was beginning to fill up. Reservations probably needed after 6pm. We will be back as the food was great.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
Been a while since we've been here... overall a really really enjoyable time. Was seated promptly and our server was Blake. We ended up ordering a margarita pizza and chicken Marsala... the pizza had great quality ingredients but the crust was doughy... I prefer a more crisp crust but it was still good. We also ordered chicken Marsala and it was amazingly. The chicken was prepared perfectly and the sauce was amazing. It was Tuesday so we ordered a bottle of wine as the sell them at market price on tuesdays and they are very reasonable. Overall, a great dining experience with above average food and a great staff.
google avatar

Kim K.

Yelp
They have a fabulous happy hour. You're truly getting good deals on drinks and food. There's a bar section on the right when you walk in. completely separate from the restaurant on the restaurant on the left side of the front door. We had a great glass of wine. Their house red. And deep fried artichokes, meatballs, and muscles that were really juicy and large. Definitely a great place to come for happy hour and enough appetizers to really fill you up.

Yelp
Birthday luncheon for the 87 year old family matriarch and D'Agnese was a must. Table for 7 and a delightful waitress who managed all our requests with an "absolutely". Four members of our party had either chicken or veal D'Agnese which features a scrumptious lemon butter sauce. Birthday girl chowed down on Veal piccata which is presented with an unique twist or two featuring both artichokes and red peppers not traditionally part of a piccata. We also had wedding soup which was well executed and two different salad offerings. Mine was a beet salad that featured both yellow and red beet slices, Gorgonzola and candied walnuts with a balsamic dressing. More greens than I expected but even the small salad was huge. Perfect place for mom's soirée.

Yelp
Food is so so so good! highly recommend! we had an event catered. rave revues. just go!!!

Dre V.

Yelp
Service and ambiance were good, food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Nice spot for the area I guess. Bit expensive for the quality
google avatar

Maddie T.

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant in Akron! The artichokes with lemon butter sauce are an absolute MUST appetizer. Bread comes with your meal and they serve it with a rich balsamic dip that has roasted garlic. Be sure to ask for more bread to dip in your pasta sauce (I recommend the gnocchi and sausage sauce)!

Martha T.

Yelp
We just had D'Agnese's cater a party for us. The food was fabulous!! They made lemon chicken, red skin potatoes, Alfredo and grilled vegetables. A job well done!!

Tim D.

Yelp
We've only been here a couple times Probably the best Italian restaurant we went too. Really enjoyed the buttery sauce that they use
google avatar

Molly N.

Yelp
The food and drinks never fail to delight! Arancini risotto balls are melty and flavorful. Salads are interesting and well sized (1/2 or full). Flatbreads and pastas are wonderful. I last had chicken piccata that was top notch Great bar scene, often with live music Service was a little slow as the bartender was our server and he must have been pretty busy. Overall our group of 6 loved it

Julie C.

Yelp
I have come to D'Agnese's for lunch several times in the past, but was very surprised to come in now and find their prices to still be in the same neighborhood as 2019 and earlier. The quality and preparation of the food is impeccable. My favorite is the salmon with risotto and roasted vegetables. Even though it's a generous portion of quality salmon filet and risotto, it's so hard not to clean the plate. The salmon is flavorful and seasoned, and the risotto is creamy and decadent. The vegetables were roasted just right, so they were sweet and fragrant additions to the plate. There is not a spot nearby where you can enjoy such a complete and tasty lunch for the value here. The ambiance is nice and a little bit formal, and the patio is lovely. Thanks to Kariem my server for being attentive and getting me in and out quickly and on to my next work meeting.

Yelp
I was blown away by the service and food for my daughters 16th bday dinner! Family and friends were impressed by the decor and food. Very pleased indeed!

Yelp
Love this place. The food is fantastic. The service is amazing. The owner is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Oh, I almost forgot. Really authentic Italian.
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
We were driving thru and wanted to try D'Agnese's. It was delicious. We had the lunch Cod with risotto and the Chicken piccata with gnocchi. I also had a very good cup of coffee. I don't always leave a 5 star but the fish and the chicken was cooked perfectly. (Very rare for many chefs) The food and the service was fantastic. Wish we could have tried more.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Been a fan for 35 years in Cleveland. Akron location holds the sane standards. Always delicious!
google avatar

Chuck L.

Yelp
I hadn't been here in a while. Always enjoyed the food, but with the many choices around Akrons west side, D'Agnese's was often overlooked. I wont do that anymore! We ate in the bar and enjoyed the music and fun. The food was delish. (We ate a series of appetizers) The patrons were in a mood to let their hair down to the music. Dancing and conversation made the Thursday evening a special weekday treat. Going back soon!

Jen B.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants we've been to lately. Great atmosphere, decent service and great food and drinks!! Hubby and I went out for date night. We got the Aracini appetizer, Chicken Picatta and Penne and chicken which were all really good! But the picatta was by far our favorite!! Will definitely be coming back!
