This review update is for their annual Pizza Nite with Santa and his Reindeer event. Our party of 6 including the 2 grand-darlings attended this event for the first time. Wow, was it popular and I've never seen this place so packed. We had a 5:15pm Sunday night reservation and there was nary a parking spot in either of their 2 lots and I ended up parking across Oakton Street in the very close-by Oak Mill mall parking lot.
It's a nice event. You can have a photo op with Santa as you await your pizza order. You can also go and visit with 2 live reindeer that are parked out front of the restaurant in a small fenced in area. The food menu was the same as usual. The girls had kids menu items of mac n cheese with fries and two kids burger with fries (each $7.95, and each with a generous serving of fries). The 4 adults shared a 1/2 lb calamari appetizer ($14.95) and an extra large 18" thin D'Agostino's special ($36.95 with sausage, mushroom, green peppers, and onions). Daughter also enjoyed a Blue Mojito, son-in-law enjoyed a Pina Colada (each was $10 and each were sizable cocktails) and I had a draft Lagunitas 'Lil Sumpin Sumpin ale ($6.50). The kitchen and staff did a great job keeping up with the massive crowd, and there was just an average, reasonable wait for all of the food items. The thin crust pizza with its cracker like crust was delicious, hit the spot, and I really enjoyed it with my beer.
When we left at about 6:45pm, many tables were clearing, and I had earlier thought it might get most crowded at about 6:30pm. But it turned out with all the kids' families, that the earlier 5:15pm time frame may well have been close to the peak period for this event. Anyway, highly recommended holiday event with your kiddos if you like the idea of pizza with Santa and his Reindeer.
FYI - they charge a 4% credit card surcharge, which is hidden til the end and pretty atypical.
