I’ve passed by this place many times. The doughnuts here a big and fluffy without any overkill of sweetness. For me this is just perfect. You won’t find gourmet doughnuts clad with fancy designs, rather brass tacks tasty eats. The location is easy to get to and I think you’ll enjoy as we do.

Popped in around 10:00 am this morning, the selection looked awesome, and we loved the donuts we chose! Our donuts were the right balance of warm, soft donut, with light crisp from the icing. The person working was so friendly, he totally brightened our day. Definitely worth us driving a little out of our way to visit!

For our first time here, we were greeted like we were old time friends. The location is clean and the decorations are cool. The doughnuts are delicious! My favorite is the cinnamon and sugar. The sugar and cinnamon is packed on there and it wasnt messy. It didnt fall off and it wasn't too sweet. All the doughnuts were soft and fluffy. We will definitely be back.

I drive by this place on my way to work everyday and the giant pink donut with the color changing sprinkles in the window always makes me smile. The Dunkin Donuts that I usually stop at for my coffee was closed this morning. So, I decided to swing in and see what Daily Dozen had to offer. They didn't have a coffee bar and that was perfectly okay because they had a cooler with water. I had no idea, when I pulled into my parking spot, that I'd be stepping into donut Heaven. When you see their donuts, you know that they're made from scratch. They have some really unique varities, for example custard filled French Crullers and coconut custard donuts. If I had to guess, the custard was made from scratch. It was perfect!!! When I saw how delish the donuts looked, I decided to pick up a couple of dozen for the office. Everyone loved them. The man who helped me was really friendly as well. I'll definitely stop by again in the future to get donuts for my co-workers. Bonus PSA - This donut shop accepts debit and credit cards. 😊 I thought I'd throw that out here since many do not.

I ordered about 10 doughnuts for our small office on National Doughnut Day last week, giving my credit card and order to a gentleman over the telephone. He was helpful, quick and cordial. Unfortunately there were a few flavors we wanted that they were out of, but that happens at a lot of doughnut spots - if you're not there before things sell out you're SOL - so, I do not fault the place for not having a few of the flavors we wanted. Price point is good and the doughnuts we did get were delightful. See the photo I posted for the yums we got. This is a great neighborhood spot to check out when you need that sweet morning sugar or are going to a get together and need to bring something for the gang.

Came here to get my paczki for Fat Tuesday. I arrived late morning/early afternoon and there was still a decent selection and not a long line at all, only one person ordering in front of me. I got a 6 pack, 2 raspberry, 1 strawberry, 1 apple, 1 buttercream, 1 custard. When I got home I was disappointed that instead of the apple, I was given the lemon, which I did not care for at all :( I even watched him grab each one, so I'm not sure how it got mixed up. Overall they tasted good (minus the lemon one) and I would definitely come back for other items!

I didn't know this place existed until my friend told me recently. It's definitely better than other donuts. I'm really glad they had the good flavors people told me to try. I really like French cruellers so I got the regular and filled one too. Really nice people helping to pack our order. we stopped by on a Sunday morning.

I've heard wonderful things about Daily Dozen and decided to give them a try. I specifically ordered 2 dozen donuts for my daughters birthday party, over 1 week in advance and prepaid for the order (a mix of red velvet - my daughters favorite, glazed and sprinkles.). We also had a kiddo with a peanut allergy and heard that they take it seriously and will take precaution to ensure there is no cross exposure with nuts and or shared baking sheets, etc. Two days before pick up, I called to adjust the pickup time slightly and the owner was not recalling the details of the order. He said that if I pick up by 7am, there should be no issues having the donuts I wanted available. I stated that I had pre-ordered, therefore I wanted the donuts I ordered, boxed up and ready to go. Otherwise...what is the point of pre-ordering. He said "no problem." Fast forward to pickup day. My husband walked in and only half of the donuts were packed up in a box and the owner said he ran out of red velvet!!! Why he didn't pack up the order first thing in the AM is beyond me. My daughter was heart broken. Word of caution, the owner seems friendly enough but is NOT reliable. I was also concerned that he didn't take the nut allergy seriously. As for the donuts. They are average. I'll be taking my business back to Donut Cutter!

Avon Donuts in Pontiac was closed so we had to look for a donut shop in Telegraph or Woodward. Thru Yelp reviews, we decided to try this,or the duck donuts in Troy. This location was much closer to us going home. There's a variety of donuts to choose from. I like their fruity pebbles. Only disappointment is that there is not enough cereals to cover the top. The moonrock was also small in portion size. The cruller looks like it's not store made. Regardless, the flavors of soft and sweet donuts is there. All are individually priced for $1.75; $9 half a dozen; $15 for a dozen.

Great donuts and a nice variety. We got there at around 10:30 and almost everything was available, though selling quick. Super friendly owner, we left saying we want to be that happy at work every day! Honorable mention: moon rock, coconut custard and apple stick, they were top notch. Plus, they serve Hyperion Coffee signature blended for The Daily Dozen. Next time will try traditional and chocolate glazed. Totally worth a trip.

This donut shop is right up the street from me. It's almost too convenient. Their donuts are made fresh daily and taste amazing! They also always give my kids one free donut hole when we come in.

Decided to try here because donut cutter was sold out. Got 6 donuts, which all have the old donut oil taste. Will not be returning. For ref: the Warren location is comparable to dc.

Hands down the best donuts around. The service is your friendly welcoming local donut shop. I have not had a donut here that I didn't like. My favorite is the Little Dipper (Q looking donut). Glad they are staying open and staying busy.

Came here for the first time due to an early doctor appt. Got the strawberry frosted with sprinkles, red velvet, and glazed. All great. I would recommend coming early and getting your pick!

Decided to skip the Donut Cutter and give them a try. Unique twists on some of my favs, like a custard filled cruller. It was amazing! They are my new #1 donut stop.

Great donuts, unfortunately not a lot of flavors available at 8:20 AM. Not sure when you have to get there to get your favorites. Can't imagine what the selection is like in the afternoon. Shop is small so I doubt they are made on site. That said they are quality donuts.

Just back here to give another five stars to our favorite donut shop in the area (and beyond). Nothing compares!!! The sour cream has ruined all other sour creams for us, ever. Love the blueberry cake donut and really any cake donut they offer. Thought I liked yeast donuts, but Daily Dozen has converted me. You can't go wrong here. Don't miss out on this spot!!!

We took our daughter and son here last Saturday! They loved picking out donuts from the wide variety. Each donut we tried was delicious! A great way to start the weekend off!

So strange. I swore I had a review posted on here but it was gone. I had to try out this place out as I make it my business to check out any viable donut shop within the state and if I am anywhere near it. I always get the plain, glazed and sour cream, those are my litmus test for donuts. I took a couple of bites of each and found them to be decent, not special. I will say I had the misfortune of going on a Saturday afternoon when the picking were rather slim and I was hoping to check out a fancier donut but they were running low by the early afternoon. Additionally it wasn't busy at all when I went and it was just me myself and I. Was that a bad sign? In a pinch this place works but if there were more offerings that day I might have been more impressed.

I can't believe I haven't gone in here sooner! On a recent Sunday, I ventured out solo, left the boyfriend in bed, and ran out to get some donuts. Walking in this place was pure joy -- They had good music going, art on the walls, friendly staff, and the donuts were great. I got a chai tea for the boyfriend, and it was delicious! Super gingery. The only thing keeping my review from five stars is that by 11 am, the donuts as fresh as at a shop that continues to make donuts throughout the day.

This was OK. Nothing spectacular about this place. I can't say the donuts were incredibly good, but they weren't bad. Service was fine and I was the only one in the place at 9a on a Sunday, so it was quick. Lots of variety to choose from. Their toppings for the chocolate dip and fruity pebble donut reminds me more of frosting than icing or a glaze, so I wasn't a fan.

I work at Beaumont Health RO, and this is our go-to donut place! Heavy, cake donuts that are filling! We love getting donuts here for all kinds of celebrations. My personal favorites are red velvet, sour cream, chocolate custard crueller, and glazed!!

One of the best donuts you'll have in metro Detroit. It's not quite on the overall level of Avon in Pontiac, but you can't get a bad donut at Daily Dozen. Not only that, they stay fresh even left out overnight, which indicates its top notch quality. The salted caramel sour cream donut, however, is one of the best donuts, if not the best, I've ever had. Certainly worth a trip to this place for that single item. Soft, chewy, and the perfect consistency which is the true standard of any donut, Daily Dozen hits this one out of the park. My only complaint is that they run out of them too quickly!

My sweet tooth is always raging so I definitely had to give them a try. I had a glazed doughnut and a cream filled doughnut. Simple enough to gauge most donut shops by these two. They were good, and I would return to try others.

The long awaited second location of Daily Dozen is open!! They opened last week just before the Dream Cruise festivities. I do love me some donuts so I stopped in on my way to work this morning and got a custard filled crueller (yes custard filled) and a maple crunch. The very nice gentleman behind the counter even offered me a free dutch crunch donut hole, how nice. The donuts were rally fresh and super tasty. I loved them both. There were so many delicious flavors to choose from that it was hard to decide so I will have to come back soon to sample the other flavors. The shop itself is small, but you do not need much space for a donut shop, since they just opened a few days ago I think they are still decorating yet, but again, I came to grab a donut not for the interior design. The who employees were super friendly as well.

I love this place and it's become somewhat or a ritual for me and my son to head here on Sunday mornings when we feel a craving for donuts. The service is fantastic and my little guy loves that he gets a free donut hole every time we go in. On top of that, the donuts are amazing! The sour cream donuts are always delicious, the moonrocks are my personal favorite, and my son thinks the custard cruller is the greatest donut ever! The best part though goes back to the service, even if the donuts weren't as good as they are, you get a great experience every time. The fact that my 4yo gets acknowledged makes him feel like he's a part of it too and he loves going with me there. If you are in the mood for some delicious donuts and great service, go check them out!

Great selection of fresh yummy donuts. Lots of flavors and assorted styles. The employees were really friendly and fast. Location is easy to get in and out of quickly. $11 for a dozen. Sounds good to me! Will go back.

Meh. I tried a honey glazed chocolate donut. It was ok. It is no comparison to Holy Moly Donuts chocolate glazed donut. Yes, both donuts are black chocolate cake donuts with a clear glaze all over, but Holy Moly's are more chocolatey. Daily Dozen's honey chocolate glaze didn't have much flavor in general. FYI - I have no financial interest or am I part of the Holy Moly organization. I'm simply a fan of their donuts.

Today I was finally able to try the daily dozen. I love donuts and heard a lot of great things about this place. I was a bit skeptical as I also heard great things about a donut shop on Southfield rd that turned out to be very sub par. However, daily dozen definitely does not disappoint and the reviews proved to be true. I got a bakers dozen and tried multiple flavors everything was moist and flavorful. My favorite donut, the sour cream, is what I judge most places by; it was also great with a crispy outer surface and very moist inside. I'd definitely go back.

Best donuts in town hands down, it was the first time for me trying this place and i bought a whole dozen and not even one of them didn't taste good. They were all delicious. Cruler filled with custard, sour cream cake and the fruit loops ones are on my top list, in addition the owner is a very cool guy we sat and talked for over than 20 mins Great guy

My sugar rush has been satisfied!!! I've been wanting to try this place for so long & I finally got my chance! Pleasant service & a nice selection of doughnuts! The parking lot is awful but you can park around the corner or in back. The sour cream cake doughnut was to die for!! My friend LOVED the apple fritter & nothing can beat the lemon filled (maybe just a teeny bit more filling! ;) -- I was totally planning on sharing with my co-workers but after tasting them I decided to covet the rest & take them home! Will definitely be back soon, I NEEDED a plain sugar dipped glaze but they were all sold out so I didn't get to try one today. I know they open at 6am so perhaps I'll have to get there sooner! FORGET about Dunkin & try this place!

Donuts. in. Detroit Fresh, hot and delicious. What's not to love about sinking your teeth into a delicious fluffy glazed raised donut? Or a maple bar that makes you wish it was a foot longer? Really good donut selections and a lot of great service makes this a spot you want to go to when then donut craving hits.

Make sure you physically speak to someone if you are placing a special order. I wanted to order two dozen chocolate kream donuts. I placed an order through the "contact us" section their website, but heard nothing in the way of a confirmation. The next day, I made a phone call around noon to again confirm, but got voicemail. The morning I went to pick up the donuts they, of course, did not have my order. As far as the food goes, my students enjoyed the chocolate custard donuts.

My favorite donut is the Strawberry Moonrock and the cider donut is also great! The donuts are always so fresh! This place is by far the best donut shop around! They have a large selection of donuts! Check them out!!

If custard filled donuts are your favorite, GO HERE. It's not just the typical Boston Cream or Long Johns with chocolate on top.. they have custard donuts covered in powdered sugar, toasted coconut, or glaze. And they're aptly filled with A LOT of custardy goodness. I love donuts and these may be my favorite ever

The moonrocks are amazing. If you are going to have a treat, you won't regret having one of these. The sour cream donuts are also quite yummy. Our little ones have enjoyed a few other donuts ... lemon-filled, raspberry-filled, & cream-filled. And we are particular when it comes to an occasional donut treat ... !

Today was my first time at the Daily Dozen in Royal Oak. Such a great place! They have a great assortment but you better get there early because this place is super popular. I came at 12:30 and they were 75% out of everything. I had a chocolate frosted doughnut and it was delicious. The girl was so nice she threw in a couple doughnut holes for me to try. I will definitely be back to try other flavors!

Run by great folks, serving the best donuts in the area....you can't go wrong with any of their selections. This isn't the bland Tim Horton's/DD or a high brow bakery. This is just a good old-fashion baker that delivers a quality product every day. The only downside to Daily Dozen is what to select.....Coconut Custard, Moon Rocks, Custard Crullers, Fritters are all the real deal. #86,400

Amazing customer service! Visiting from Washington D.C and encountered some wonderful smiling faces who took the time to explain some of their unique (yummy) flavors. A customer in line before me took the last Bowtie (almost cried), however the Red Velvet, Sour Cream and Sugar made up for my loss lol.

Great doughnuts. Kids and dogs sometimes get a surprise. The same great quality as the original shop in Warren, but with a bit more pizzazz.

I was soooo disappointed. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a stellar donut experience, and I got some very basic donuts. I heard they have "speciality" flavors on the weekends...perhaps I should have waited till Saturday. A few of the donuts were dry, and the rest were just ordinary. Nothing special....at all. Dutch Girl and Dilla's Delights in Detroit are waaaay better, and of course my favorite expensive artisan donut shop, The Donut Bar in Southfield.
