Due to the lack of responses from the owner, I didn't think the review was worth my time, but people need to see this. Some history, a couple weeks ago, we suffered the tragic loss of one of our children. On Sunday 9/10 between 8:30 pm and 9 pm - for the first time our loss, we went to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard in what ended up being a failed effort to re-establish some normalcy as we navigate this new life. We ordered a pecan cluster which is my favorite. The patron ahead of us had a very large order and appeared to pay multiple times. Not sure if they allowed them to order more at the window or if it was separated orders, but we sat for a pretty good minute. When we approached the window, the the young lady handed my husband a blizzard which looked like it had been melting a bit. He asked, "Can you make a fresh one please? This one looks like it's starting to melt." The young lady who was very kind began to explain something about the type of chocolate which makes it look that way. My husband asked her to flip it to be sure. At that point, the manager Meagan began yelling at my husband stating, "I LITERALLY just made that! There's nothing wrong with it! I JUST made that, sh-t!" We were both taken aback especially by the swearing. My husband became upset and said, "You know what, I don't want it. Give me my money back." Meagan, again became irate, yelling at my husband, "I just made that! I'm not remaking product for you! You can take your money and get the hell out of my line!" My husband raised his voice and said, "Did I yell at you? Did I swear at you?" Meagan began processing the refund at which point was asked her her name.
There is no part of this that is acceptable. The only compliment I have is from the young teenager who was kind and tried to explain the reason the blizzard looked that way. Meagan, however should not be in the service industry all. So, I say to the owner, you may want to re-evaluate and restructure your staff. Give Meagan our thanks for making sure we felt lower than we already did. We will not return to this location and we don't advise anyone else to.
