"Josh Abbott created a perfect Dairy Queen order based on his favorite childhood meal: a four-piece steak finger country basket with fries, Texas toast, cream gravy, an iced tea, and a mini M&Ms milk chocolate Blizzard. This order highlights the unique offerings available only in Texas and emphasizes the simplicity and authenticity of the meal." - Courtney E. Smith

Ordered a cake from this location. The experience was AMAZING! Cake was perfectly decorated and tasted excellent. The entire experience was 5 star. Don’t sleep on this option. It is well worth it!

I am extremely impressed with the customer service Deandre has given me. I was having a not so good day, but it’s something about a respectful person that greets me with a smile and makes sure I have everything I need that turned my day around and I appreciate that from him. He deserves 5 stars all across the books! Thank you!

If I could rate this place a negative ZERO and had the energy to contact the GM of this location I would do it in a heartbeat. HOWEVER this little review will have to be enough for me. I've lived in TEXAS for the last 30 plus years and ordered food at various locations less than 10 occasions during that time span. This is because I ALWAYS order a blizzard or a small dipped cone – hardly ever order food. Yesterday, I decided to order a chicken tender basket and 2 mini blizzards for my kids. Then I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich ($4.79) with a side of onion rings ($3.29). To my SURPRIZE, I was given what looks like a chicken slider because the bun, small onion ring and slice of tomato was bigger than that little piece of grilled chicken. Not to mention chicken was COLD to touch. I paid just under $5.00 dollars for a snack sized sandwich which resembles a McChicken but McDonalds only charge $1.29 for it - so no big deal. That little piece of chicken is totally unacceptable and I’m not even complaining about the price but at least give me half of a chicken breast – geesh. NEVER again will I order food from this place because this experience was by far the WORST ever. Not to mention young fella that took my order should not be allowed to take drive-thru orders - PERIOD. If I return to DQ in the future, I will most definitely choose a different location.

I had not been to a Dairy Queen in a long time. This was a newer one in Frisco. It brought back fond memories from my childhood. I used to always order the Hungerbuster or Beltbuster. I ordered the latter and a root beer. And it did not disappoint. The food delicious and hot. My girlfriend and I ordered dip cones for food measure.

Google
Fries were hot, but my burger was cold and hard. It looked like it had been sitting awhile. My husband's was ok, I think mine was cooked ahead of time and left sitting out! Our order was too go, so it was too much trouble to go back! The store was clean, but the cold burger is a deal breaker! Won't be back! Cook the burgers fresh!

DeAndra Mitchell-Personal

Google
Horrible place. I usually don’t put a review, but this was an horrible experience. When I say I will never go back to this place never. Their customer service is also rude, they had to nerve to slam the window shut when I was asking if this is how they normally serve people. They made my order wrong with hair on the burger and look like someone bit all around the meat patty. And it was cold.

Google
I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes for 1 chicken strip basket. This is NOT fast food!!

Google
Every time I come here nothing but great service, food , and professionalism! Unlike every other business nowadays. The employees speak clearly, with an eagerness to serve you, and with a great attitude! In this day and age it is refreshing to be treated like an important customer. Most places nowadays never welcome you, thank for your business, or even put forth the energy to open their mouths when they speak. They act as if you are bothering them by visiting their establishment. Not here! They appreciate your business and are welcoming and are generally grateful for the business. This is a lost service and many businesses could benefit from learning from this crew here! Great job management!!

Yelp
This is still our favorite DQ . They do give a senior discount without complaining. Last time going through the drive through because we had our dog and a puppy in car . They offered us a pup cup. Our 8 week old puppy got his first experience with ice cream .

Roberta O.

Yelp
I ordered their fish meal today and the fish was burnt and the lady on duty was soo rude when I told her and would not do anything to help. I have been there before and never had fish like that, don't think I'll go back there for it again.

Ashley P.

Yelp
Unpleasant experience. The opening manager is super disrespectful. We didn't realize they didn't open at 11. We just really wanted some soft serve ice cream. Told us she couldn't serve us because she had no employees in the store yet. When we hadn't even said anything and we were just sitting at the drive thru. Told us we could go to another location or to try Braums. Super unnecessary.

Toni M.

Yelp
Due to the lack of responses from the owner, I didn't think the review was worth my time, but people need to see this. Some history, a couple weeks ago, we suffered the tragic loss of one of our children. On Sunday 9/10 between 8:30 pm and 9 pm - for the first time our loss, we went to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard in what ended up being a failed effort to re-establish some normalcy as we navigate this new life. We ordered a pecan cluster which is my favorite. The patron ahead of us had a very large order and appeared to pay multiple times. Not sure if they allowed them to order more at the window or if it was separated orders, but we sat for a pretty good minute. When we approached the window, the the young lady handed my husband a blizzard which looked like it had been melting a bit. He asked, "Can you make a fresh one please? This one looks like it's starting to melt." The young lady who was very kind began to explain something about the type of chocolate which makes it look that way. My husband asked her to flip it to be sure. At that point, the manager Meagan began yelling at my husband stating, "I LITERALLY just made that! There's nothing wrong with it! I JUST made that, sh-t!" We were both taken aback especially by the swearing. My husband became upset and said, "You know what, I don't want it. Give me my money back." Meagan, again became irate, yelling at my husband, "I just made that! I'm not remaking product for you! You can take your money and get the hell out of my line!" My husband raised his voice and said, "Did I yell at you? Did I swear at you?" Meagan began processing the refund at which point was asked her her name. There is no part of this that is acceptable. The only compliment I have is from the young teenager who was kind and tried to explain the reason the blizzard looked that way. Meagan, however should not be in the service industry all. So, I say to the owner, you may want to re-evaluate and restructure your staff. Give Meagan our thanks for making sure we felt lower than we already did. We will not return to this location and we don't advise anyone else to.

Yelp
It's like a better McDonald's and i prefer the bacon cheese It's also really cheap it also has small wait lines like smaller than McDonald's and they make your food really fast so I suggest that you try it

Yelp
Brody and Michael need a raise they were the best DQ workers ever and I will be coming back.

Yelp
HORRIBLE employee staff!. Walked in for a bite with my 4 and 2 year old. I KID YOU NOT, one of the ladies in the back approached my 2 year old daughter asking her to "start doing the dishes", though she was making racial jokes I ignored her to give the benefit of the doubt. Along with the Halloween decorations my children were complimenting, the SAME LADY starts yelling at my 2 year old daughter for holding a pumpkin that was sitting on the counter, as I gracefully gave it back... Figured there shouldn't be a problem with a child holding a pumpkin?? After enjoying their kids meal, my children approached the counter for their Free ice creams. BELIEVE THIS!! SAME LADY, gets knee-level with my 2 year old (literally 1 foot away from my daughters face) & as soon as I get up to see the issue... MY DAUGHTER TURNS BACK WALKING TO ME AND STARTS CRYING HYSTERICALLY!!! After my daughter tried to ask for her ice cream, the lady acted very mean and unprofessional with my children. WILL BE TAKING THIS UP WITH THE MANAGER ASAP! *Parents Be Aware*

Daniel S.

Yelp
Damn the fries are hot and fresh and tasty here and the service here is the best I have ever had!

Lindsay A.

Yelp
I understand that every business is understaffed right now, but the list of issues with this particular Dairy Queen is beyond astronomical! They currently don't have a functional card reader yo accept payments, so you can only pay in cash. When you can't even get cash from a bank right now, due to shortages. They're never open during posted hours. You don't find any of this information out until you've already been stuck in the drive-they line for 20+ minutes! If you're understaffed, not accepting cards and only accepting cash, as well as closing early -- you should probably do better and put up a sign BEFORE people enter the drive-thru. It's also probably not a wise business move for your hand-written notices pointing these things out to customers to be condescending. Common sense and the basics of business seem to be non-existent. People wonder why we've all turned into a-holes. This is why.

Ashley B.

Yelp
To start off my experience they don't tell me they're out of bacon for the blt until I'm paying for my food, which is why I went in the first place so then I order a cheeseburger and it's burnt and disgusting, they kept forget my items, They had to remake my drinks because they got it wrong, and they forgot our icecream. Over all just incompetent service they dint seem to know what their doing what do ever

Karl G.

Yelp
Just my opinion I thought after talking to the manager about the service at this location things would have been improved, but they have gotten worse. Stopped by the drive through and even before someone took my order they asked me to wait. I waited 3 min before the attendant was ready. According to the manager the time per car is 3 min this is kind of impossible to do if you have the customer wait 3 min before his order. So a normal 12 min for a few cars becomes 24 min. In the restaurant industry if they are not good at service how can they be good at protecting your food and being hygienic? I would not trust this location anymore until they get rid of management and service returns to normal. It has been this way for a few months now.

Dennis S.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise tonight from a very kind employee at this store. I was taking my grandson for a treat for his graduation from middle school band. We arrived a few minutes after closing and the manager was nice enough to accommodate us. It made his my grandson's day. Thank you.

A P.

Yelp
Pulled into the parking lot and a guy yelled at us for parking and drove off. Went in to order and they told us the ice cream machine was broken after we'd ordered and paid. We waited a long time, they finally got up and running and we got a few watery Blizzards, the dip cone we ordered came out a regular cone, but we were too tired by that point to say anything. Dallas is a big place with many suburbs, save your time and sanity and go somewhere else for family ice cream night.

Geno T.

Yelp
Someday this joke of a location will get their act back together. You really think people are going to sit in your Drive-Thru line for 45 minutes? You've milked this covid thing for long enough to keep your Lobby closed. With the exception of Chick-fil-A recently going back to drive-thru only, you guys have been about the only restaurant around who has not opened their Lobby. Until then, Braums, Baskin-Robbins, and Handel's will be the places to go. Stay away from this place.

V V.

Yelp
NEGATIVE 5 stars, please stay away! that was a horrible experience and i hated everything about it. water tasted like lake lewisville, fries were rubbery and room temp at best, barely enough gravy for anything, and the little gravy i DID GET had the consistency of fucking water, the steak fingers were okay but a little rubbery as well and their not good without good gravy, i resented each bite i took but i was starving and spend $12 fucking mcdonalds wouldve been better. NOT TO MENTION the 10 minutes it took me to get to the order screen in the drive thru and another 10 for them to even take my order, and another 5 to get to the window. Will never go back again and i hope they shut down honestly. i dont wish that experience on ANYONE. it was a fuckin shit show, wish i looked at the reviews before going here

Liz C.

Yelp
Two poor expeiences lately. They have gone down compared to a few months ago. Two separate occasions, I ordered blizzards completely missing the brownies signature ingredient. The new girl in drive thru ALSO asks if you want your change back - and not nickel and dime change. I doubt managment knows she does that. Won't be back after two strikes, same experience.

Edward K.

Yelp
I just visited the location at Teel and Main in Frisco. I ordered a crispy chicken salad which turned out to be the worst salad that I have ever purchased from there. First, I ordered the salad without tomatoes and what do I find on the salad when I open it up. Secondly, the chicken was cold and seemed old. Finally, as I go through the salad to remove the tomatoes, I find that the lettuce horribly wilted. Not sure who serves this to their customers, but it doesn't get mulch worse. There needs to be better quality control in place at this location.

Marian S.

Yelp
How is this place still open? All I wanted was a chocolate shake. I got lukewarm chocolate milk.

Abigail T.

Yelp
Literally one of my favorite drive thru experiences I've ever had. It was close to closing time but I had promised my crew I would grab them some blizzards before the night was over. All 4 people working were the absolute sweetest humans. Both of the Skyes, Dakota, and the other who's name I didn't get, thank you for being so kind! Your positivity is so amazing in a time where so many service industry workers are burnt out. Everything was made quickly and correctly. Couldn't recommend this group more, thank you for making my night!!

Charles E.

Yelp
Not once in the past 2 and 1/2 years of going to this location has my order ever been 100% correct. There's always something missing or done incorrectly. Tonight we were missing an entire #4 meal from our order. The dine in is closed so there is no option to get your order corrected unless you wait 30 minutes in the drive through. We made sure this time to not leave the drive through before we fully checked our order and I'm glad we did.

Erica C.

Yelp
Just don't. Consistently bad service and product. Just don't even bother. Staff is at best unbothered and at worse rude. Wait times are pretty ridiculous, and the product is crap. I've been visiting DQ's since I was 2 years old and this is the worst one, it really is. Just waited over 2 minutes at the window with no other cars in line, and only 1 in their parking lot for my chocolate dipped cone, which they handed to me dripping down the cone. Awesome. Just don't even bother.

Sarah N.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! EVER! Reason 1- The staff is EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. (Story time at bottom) Reason 2- Food Is NASTY. I have been to several Dairy Queen's and the food was LEVELS better than the food at this one Reason 3- The bathrooms. Three emojis- . They always look like they are never cleaned. Story- So I came here one evening after wensday night service at my church. I ordered one brownie fudge a la mode in the drive thru. There was one car in front of me. I expected to wait 8-15 minutes AT THE MOST. I sat there behind the one car for about 25, and noticed even the people in front of me had not gotten anything. Finally about 10 minutes later they got handed two drinks and their card back and drove off. I'm sorry but it should not take 35 minutes for two sodas. And it wasn't like they were busy inside, because there were no cars in the parking lot. I'm assuming that they were back there talking and forgot. I pulled up next and payed. They guy went back there and didn't come back. About 15 minutes later and nothing had happened. I didn't want to drive off because I had payed, so I knocked on the window. The guy ran up with my order. I recommend you go to the one on Preston instead.

Jeff G.

Yelp
stay away from this place for a meal. ordered a kids meal and when I got on the road my daughter said she couldn't eat the cheeseburger because it was very cold.the service was bad and the group was talking instead of serving us. do not order food from there.

Cliff H.

Yelp
horrible customer service attempted to charge my card twice and then refuse to apologize and it claimed that I was the one with the attitude. Shift leader Aaron is the one to blame. I would recommend replacing him and hiring somebody with better customer service skills

Nick S.

Yelp
The store is always dirty, they microwave the hamburgers, and the staff working the counter always seems like they don't know what they're doing. I gave them another chance after the supposed management change, but that didn't help at all. I'm done

Steve A.

Yelp
Drive thru. Ordered and gave $10 in quarters, the young lady was doing her job and took the money, then someone told her you don't ever take that change again, she said I didn't know, his response was I'm telling you now. He then said "that's Fucking rude, my wife and 2 kids in the car could hear everything, I ask was that the manager, she replied yes. Will never go to this location again.

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I see why yet another DQ has a low rating.. I was STARVED.. Stopped here today at 2:46 pm. Only car in the line, and my food came out too fast. And the temperature of the container was the first obvious sign. Only customer and they still screwed it up! I ordered the Steak Finger basket . When I got home, just a little over a mile away, I discovered soggy toast and the worst fries ever. Cold and greasy . Gravy so hot it burned my tongue .. So my meal consisted of a steak finger and the toast because it was all I had to eat after working 16 hours, I wasn't about to run back out. I WILL BE COLLECTING A REFUND THE NEXT TIME I LEAVE THE HOUSE. I am calling this Strike 3 for this company, hoping to get good result from this visit, I'm just NOT GOING TO TRY ANYMORE. Clearly it's a company wide failure rate, and with the economy tanking, my cash is too valuable to maybe get what I'm paying for..... and being the ONLY car in line , I should have been served fresh cooked food, not lunch leftovers . So Yes this DQ has definitely earned the rating reflected on Yelp!

Kraig C.

Yelp
Very very slow service... They only have the drive-through open and I guarantee it's just because they can make more money by not having an extra person in the store... Completely ridiculous... The line is around the building and then when I get to my order is completely screwed up... They need to quit using the pandemic as an excuse and get their dining room opened like every other restaurant in the area complete bullshit!...then I get home and 2 of the three blizzards were wrong... f- this place... get your shit together... go to Braums actor the street ten times better service!

Jason R.

Yelp
How in the heck does this Dairy Queen not honor the free medium Blizzard for Veterans Day. They should be ashamed, and the GM was the one that said she knew nothing about it! Shameful!

Shannon S.

Yelp
Just got my favorite Blizzard - Caramel Apple Pie. But there was no 'pie' part - no crust at all and very little apple. Now I know why this DQ has such low ratings. What a disappointment :(

Brooke Y.

Yelp
SLOWEST EVER!!! I've given this place three chances and each time it was as slow as a Whataburger at 12 am on a Friday night. I think they seriously seek out the slowest people in town and employ them. I'll drive 5 miles out of the way to the next closest Dairy Queen before I'll go back here, bc I'll still be home sooner than I would if I went to this location!

Will B.

Yelp
I just had the worst experience possible here I ordered a burger fries and a drink. After I finished my drink I opened the lid to get the ice and noticed there was multiple bugs in it! I almost threw up all over the place! I would not recommend going there an I don't plan on going back!

Rachel C.

Yelp
Seriously... don't waste your time. On average I wait 15-20 in the drive thru line for my food EVERY visit. I should learn my lesson. The employees do not communicate the length of time you will need to wait for your food either. Little respect. I see that many of the reviews say the same thing. Management, you should really get this figured out.

Daydra R.

Yelp
GM was unaware and did not honor Veteran's Day 2020 free medium blizzard. Disappointing!

Julie K.

Yelp
I am always buying a gallon of ice cream (they do it by quarts) I went to purchase my 4 quarts and really disappointed this time since all the quarts they were hollow in the center all the way down to the bottom but just enough covered on top to hide the discrepancy. I hope this is not a standard practice

Kelly W.

Yelp
Hey! Who wants to throw 18$ in the trash?? Well I didn't but I just did. Please see my pictures. Am I being punked? I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich (3.99) a cheeseburger( 3.50) and a chicken finger basket. (8.00) and a cone. The burger and the chicken SADwich were the most insane waste of money. Literally There was no meat. What little was there was slimy....my dog didn't even want it. I got the basket for my 2 toddlers. They were spitting out the chicken so I asked my 2 year old what was wrong, and she told me it was spicy. I tried a bite and it was covered in pepper. So no one ate anything. It all went into the trash. So did my 18 bucks.

Glen G.

Yelp
This past Saturday we decided to take the kids on a nice bike ride to the local DQ for a sweet treat. Understandably during this Coronavirus Pandemic we need to keep our social distancing in place. The drive through was the only way to get our hands on the blizzards we were so looking forward to. When we walked up to the drive thru window. The gentleman at window looked annoyed instantly and made hand motions for us to move back. We followed the instructions and tried to place our order. Since we had a few children with us we wanted to get extra cups to share the blizzards. After he rolled his eyes he gave out a big sigh and said " just the order...just the order". The blizzards were good. How do you get ice cream with toppings wrong? It was the attitude of the gentleman that took our order. That's what made the difference. His attitude was poor and he looked annoyed at us even being there. That is what will guarantee that we will not return to this location. You have chosen to serve others. Serve others with kindness.

Laura S.

Yelp
Worst DQ ever! I went today for lunch and the checkout girl in the drive-through had a bunch of white flakes all over her shirt, all I kept thinking and hoping was that it wasn't dandruff. Then I got my food and drove off and realized they didn't give me my drinks and had to drive back. When I got to my location to eat my food and my toast wasn't even toasted it was just warmed up and it was soggy and supersoft it was gross. Nobody there as friendly as well. I was the second person there in the drive-through and took over 10 minutes for me to reach the window and get my food and yet I had to go back because I was missing my drinks. There was people behind me that started honking. I would love to give this a zero.

Makinzie S.

Yelp
Waited in line for 25 minutes just to get to the speaker and be told they are CLOSED. There was over 10 cars behind us. They are so INCONSIDERATE and the lady who spoke to us was very rude. Never will go here again.

GP C.

Yelp
Ordered a vanilla milkshake. Was very watery. Asked for a remake and the server got very rude. The remake was solid soft serve so wasn't even close to a milk shake. Service at this location is always hot and miss. The owner needs to take a serious look at the staff here. Dairy Queens are usually excellent and busy. This one is like a ghost town. 1 star was generous be far.

Medina S.

Yelp
We only go to Dairy Queen's since my husband only likes Blizzards. This location is notoriously slow, but tonight it was beyond that. Took us over 45 minutes in the Drive thru to get a Blizzard and ice cream cone. Definitely don't come here if you want fast food, there is nothing fast here.

Tim L.

Yelp
This is a pretty new location and it shows. Everything looks new inside. They even have a TV something not a lot of DQs can claim. The staff here is friendly and very helpful. I ordered a meal with a Blizzard and they asked if I would like to have my Blizzard with or after my meal. I told them afterward. They checked back every now and then to see if I was done with my food, but not too much to where it was creepy. If you've never been to a DQ you definitely need to get their signature items: Steak Fingers and a Blizzard. That's pretty much been my order for years and I never get tired of it.

Scott F.

Yelp
Pretty good. Ok service.

Dean B.

Yelp
Good staff and pretty good food. Got a blizzard when I ordered and they used to give them when you were done but they have it to me early and half melted when I got ready to eat it

Tamera P.

Yelp
I'll give them three stars, and I'll break it down why... -staff was not rude, but not friendly either, one had a really dirty uniform, and they just didn't seem... eager, for lack of better term (I know fast food sucks, I know firsthand, but the trick is to try and look happy) -food took like ten minutes for a kids meal that was lukewarm, why did it take that long for something that just came out of a heating vat? -besides temp, food wasn't all that bad so... Enjoy your three star!

Jackson B.

Yelp
The food is great and they almost never mess up your order. Only problem is while the employees aren't rude they aren't very nice either. But over all great place and will definitely visit again!

Kasey G.

Yelp
If i could give no stars i would. My son came in a few days ago and ordered a blizzard. She made the wrong one and wouldn't make him another or give him his money back. How is that okay??? She was so worried about it being on her record. Ridiculous!!! Won't be back!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Management needs to teach the cashier to ask for change before she runs out. The wait for $1's was so long that my blizzards started melting on the counter. I had to pull over twice to dump ice cream so it wouldn't get all over my car. Not happy and beyond annoying.
