An excellent experience for the whole family I went to Dairy Queen this weekend with my son and was pleasantly surprised by all the changes the place has undergone under the new management. From the moment we walked in, we noticed everything was much cleaner, more organized, and had a much more welcoming atmosphere. You can really tell someone is taking care to keep the place in great shape! The staff was super friendly and attentive from the start. They greeted us with a smile, explained the menu clearly, and even made great recommendations based on what we were looking for. Top-notch service!

This recently renovated Dairy Queen , now boasting a fresh, modern look, offers a delightful experience with its delicious, high-quality ice cream and friendly service, making it a must-visit spot for a sweet treat.

This Dairy Queen was recently renovated and it looks fantastic, cleaner, brighter, and more modern. The new layout makes the space feel more welcoming and comfortable. As always, the Blizzards are delicious and the service is quick and friendly. It’s nice to see a familiar favorite get a fresh upgrade. Great spot for a treat or quick meal! And don’t forget to get your cakes for your events, so many fun designs and delicious. Definitely recommend!!

Love Dairy Queen! This place has been around for decades. Always the spot to visit since there aren't so many in Miami. Staff is always attentive and the ice cream products treat great. Thank you for years of service.

Went to this store around 2:30pm today because I google to see if they honored the special for veterans, granted the google search said that it applied at participating locations. The woman at the counter stated that she didn’t know that she had to call the owner (she stated that it was a franchise). After she spoke to the person on the phone she said that they are not doing anything special for Veterans Day. It was disheartening to hear that only because it was not going to break the bank for them at all. It also seemed like I was the first veteran to walk into that store (on Veterans Day). Seems to me like their focus was more on profits than an appreciation for those who served in the military. UPDATE: I appreciate the response, but I still feel the same way. If veterans and service members were truly valued as mentioned, the store would have done something to show it, even something small. The reply sounds polite, but it comes across as more of a standard corporate answer than real appreciation. It’s disappointing, especially on a day meant to honor those who served. *Actions speak louder than words*

I’ve been coming to this Dairy Queen since before I was even born. My mom craved Blizzards so badly while pregnant that I’m pretty sure my first kick was just me reaching for a spoon. She knew labor would be as challenging as the Michelin Man’s mother trying to squeeze out her son, but she powered through, and that’s basically how I got my name. Ice cream has been my ride-or-die meal companion ever since. Lunch, dinner, late-night “oops I blacked out and somehow ended up at the drive-thru” snack, it’s always been there for me. There was a time when I live just one block away (I swear it wasn’t intentional…or was it?), which only proved fate wanted me in a committed relationship with this Dairy Queen. And as with any healthy relationship, faithfulness means regular visits and shamelessly devouring large portions. I have since moved to another city, and on my last visit I noticed the place had a whole new look. Which leads me to wonder…new ownership? Or just the same loyal crew with a glow-up? Either way, I approve. Bottom line: if ice cream is therapy, this Dairy Queen is my therapist. Only difference? This one never charges me $200 an hour, just a couple bucks and maybe my dignity when I lick the cup clean in the parking lot.

Look at the photos and video (which video doesn't show the melted ice cream right from beginning dripping off spoon). Nonetheless, you decide yourself why this is receiving the rating. Also need to mention, the cashier was very rude and didn't seem to care about my concern. Contacted management on phone however, received a voice-mail. Awaiting word to hear back and go into detail with my recent experience. Very disappointed in a $5+ cup of half frozen milkshake.....not even come close to their Blizzard. Pretty pathetic.

The ownership is new and this store is looking great. Amazing staff, quality of the product and customer service.

This Dairy Queen location is pretty sweet. On the corner of Bird road & Ludlam. It's always packed and the kids working behind the counter are very attentive. I got a Medium Vanilla cone, dipped in chocolate. It was perfect. My Husband got a blue raspberry slushie. He enjoyed his. The only issue is the ridiculous expensive prices. 2 items cost us $14.00 - for a dipped cone and ice containing slushie mix. That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The vibe there is very chill and there are places to sit, if you wish to do so. If I'm in the area, I will probably go back because DQ ice cream is so darn delicious.

Craving ice cream and wanted something delicious and flavorful. Came to this Dairy Queen. The store is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The staff were quick, kind, and did a great job. Super happy I stopped and hit the spot with this banana split. Authentic and delicious. I for sure recommend this location.

Something about going to a DQ and getting some ice cream on a clear day after Doug some bike riding or other outdoor activity This place has a drive thru just in case you can't stop. They didn't have chocolate on this last trip so that's not ideal

Shit. All they have are two fucking items and the main one (blizzard) they can't even get it right when you ask for specific things. I recently began coming her once a week with my kids like three weeks ago. The girl with the glasses always with her fake ass sweet voice "ok yeah no problem" fucking asking for a tip but then doesn't make the ice cream right. Like, are you dumb? Not coming again.

Acceptable except they are always out of something. Last visit I was told that they no longer carry Root beer for their floats. Really !!!

This store changed hands recently for a long time family ownership. An institution is dead. Service has deteriorated to an extreme. From 5-6 employees to just two. Each taking care of inside and drive thru. A wait of about 30 minutes for a Blizard on the drive thru. And to top it all, it was made with very little ingredients, 90%+ ice cream.

The most delicious ice cream ever the Oreo blizzard was amazing. Perfect for family time

Screw this place. They get your order wrong, have missing ingredients and don't accept gift cards.

Went there last night and the one guy with the blue hat on was really nice , had the chilly dog and a Sunday . Dogs were good . I think it's under new management they r revamping the place

Old location, very tiny inside, not worth going in; I just used the drive-thru. I ordered a medium dipped cone and it looked like a small. These folks have been trained to give you as little ice cream as possible. After telling her that it was far too small, she made it again, a little more ice cream, but still insufficient for a medium (yes, I know the sizes after going to DQ for many years!). Ice cream wasn't that frozen, it started melting big time as soon as they handed it to me. No thanks.

Just as good as you remember it. Was driving down Bird & had a pang of nostalgia as I thought of Dairy Queen. Stopped in for my all time favourite, Vanilla + Chocolate Swirl in a Wafer Cone Dipped in Chocolate. *Chef's Kiss* Perfection! The girl at the counter was so sweet & upbeat too. Will def be back!

Every year, as August is coming to a close, and fall is nearing, Dairy Queen releases its famous Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. This seasonal treat has been a fan favorite since it was added to the Dairy Queen menu in 1991. The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is a soft serve with pumpkin pie pieces incorporated into it. It is garnished with a dollop of whipped cream and a generous amount of nutmeg seasoning. For the past thirty three years, it has been hyped up as one of the best fall treats. So, on November 16th, I decided to give it a try. As I took my first few bites, I quickly noticed that the flavor was extremely underwhelming. The pumpkin taste was so subtle that I could hardly taste it. For the most part, it tasted like vanilla ice cream with a slight hint of pumpkin flavoring. The "pumpkin pie pieces" that are mixed into the soft serve are simply flavorless chunks of pie crust that are thrown into the mix. In my opinion, they did not contribute any flavor to the dessert. I think that this dessert would be elevated in flavor if the pumpkin pie pieces included the actual pie component, rather than just the bland crust. This Blizzard, which is said to be fall in a cup, lacks the most important component- the actual taste of fall. If you are looking to find fall in a cup, Dairy Queen's Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is not going to fulfill that wish. Additionally, I do not understand why so many people would want to have a chilly dessert during one of the coldest times of the year. After all, I am already shivering, why would I want to eat ice cream? A Blizzard should be enjoyed in the summer, not autumn. A Blizzard just does not seem to be the ideal fall dessert, especially for those who may live in cold regions. When I saw my Blizzard sitting at the pick-up window, I was underwhelmed by its appearance. While the dessert is already unenjoyable, additionally, it is not aesthetically pleasing. The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard is a soft, dull orange color. However, real pumpkin pie is a deep orange. It didn't bring forth the cozy, autumnal vibe that I had been expecting. So, I think that if the Blizzard were colored more appropriately, it would at least appear to be a pumpkin pie product. I would like to say that I typically enjoy Dairy Queen, especially their Blizzards. I am also a big fan of all things fall. So, when going into this experience with high expectations, I was extremely let down. The dull flavor of the Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, the nonideal coldness of it during the fall months, and the lack of resemblance to an actual pumpkin pie takes away from the fall feel that this sweet treat is intended to evoke. If you're looking to have a mediocre soft serve, Dairy Queen's Pumpkin Pie Blizzard would be a great choice. On the other hand, if you're looking to have a true fall dessert, I would recommend eating an actual pumpkin pie.

Such a nice old school treat! The staff is very kind and friendly. The owner is awesome. The place is very clean and organized. They have a drive thru which is a huge plus when u are on the go. This place is outstanding. Five stars and beyond in my book. The service is great, the owner is funny and the character and the product is delicious. Everyone needs to have something from this Dairy Queen. It's an experience not like your typical Dairy Queen.

Love a late night icecream to finish a relaxing humpday. We had a Hearth Blizzard, Pecan Blizzard and a cone. Definitely an old school treat.

Kathy is absolutely amazing!!! I had called in to ask if Dairy Queen could make a custom made ice cream cake, Kathy absolutely was able to accommodate and she did an amazing job with the cake! I had provided her an example of what I wanted the cake to look like and she did exactly that. My boyfriend loves ice cream, he was turning five and his favorite show growing up with SpongeBob, so I thought it would be so funny and cute to make him a SpongeBob ice cream cake. Kathy provided great customer service, she would communicate with me along the way about any design changes or colors of frosting or what types of sprinkles are wanted, she was very accommodating and had lots of options. Thank you so much Kathy, that ice cream cake was absolutely delicious and it came out perfect! You are the best!

I love this dairy queen! Only thing is they are closed on weird times of day but other than that the service is great! And very clean:)

Went here twice for Blizzards, both times they were great and the employees were nice. Only reason I gave 4 stars is they are always out of random ingredients like brownie, reeses, etc.

How beautiful is this custom birthday cake my sister in law got me for my birthday? And it wasn't even during the summer time. I think I almost prefer their cake over Carvel's. They got my vote with this great design. Better price too. And even bigger than Carvel cakes. Another plus for their location, they have a drive thru!

We accidentally ordered the wrong blizzard so we wanted to order the correct one for our kids at the drive thru. We were totally going to pay for the additional one. We just asked to add one and they said no. When asked what the name of the person that said no was she stated "we don't give names"! They said call the manager and describe the person. But yet if I do that I would be discriminating and be offensive.

Deplorable customer service, the product still have high quality. I said hello, they never answered, I asked for something, I barely could hear what they said.

Absolutely terrible location. I understand it's family/friend owned, however the customer service is quite terrible. Drive thru is full and they neglect their customers insider their store. All 3-4 workers in there made eye contact with me while I was waiting to place my order and not once did they ever say a word to me. Not even to let me know they would be a couple minutes longer. Waited so long to order ONE blizzard and of course they get it wrong.

This Dairy Queen has been around since I was in high school and I am 38 now. And I must say they have NEVER disappointed me! The owner is the funniest & coolest guy ever. He even gave my dog a free ice cream cone once when he saw him in the car while waiting for our ice creams in the drive thru......LOL I now live close to the Cutler Bay area but still make it a habit to pass by to get my favorite ice cream yumminess....BANANA SPLIT!! They actually make it like if they were going to put it in a commercial or something. It's pure perfection!!

Review is solely based on how SLOW the service is there. They will close the walk-in lobby area and make it drive thru only to only find the line wrapping around the parking area and barely moving. What the hell they are doing back there that it takes them forever just to serve pre-made ice cream blows my mind. Please get your act together and allow customers the option to walk in the lobby or wait in the drive thru.

this is my late night craving spot. They are close to my house, so I can just hop in the car in pjs and go thru the drive thru easily. Im a very big fan of their blizzards, and I usually get the chocolate chip one (vanilla icecream, chocolate hard topping blended). The owner is so funny!

This location is NOT closed...at least on Saturday. We saw a sign saying it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but other than that you can still get your ice cream cravings satisfied any day of the week. Please stay open Dairy Queen you have the best ice cream anywhere!

On several occasions I went through the drive thru, the worker rushes your order then screws it up when they deliver it to you. You ask them to fix the order and they get upset for their mistake. Out of 5 orders 3 were incorrect, giving vanilla instead of chocolate, and confusing Oreo with a blizzard. Poor customer service and the ice cream was icy.

This Dairy Queen does it right! The standards are kept high at this DQ! Right down to serving your blizzard upside down to demonstrate that it's properly thick! Don't be surprised if you get a bit of a comedy routine at the drive thru... they have a good sarcastic sense of humor here for sure! Always cheerful staff! The peanut butter crunch blizzard is a must-try! My wife and I have been coming here for many years, and the service and quality has always been consistent.... but we only ever get a peanut butter blizzard and a thick chocolate malt, and we always drive through. Honestly, it's not a terrible rut to be stuck in!

Really good icecream. Friendly quick service. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. Thet have a big variety of cones, icream, cakes, and the drive through is very convenient. My daughter loved it. Huge ice cream/delicious. I would definitely go back for more.

Natalie, the cashier was awesome and very kind! She filled my ice cream past the rim (which I have never seen from anyone else). Natalie made sure to give me plenty of time to figure out what I wanted to order and when I asked her about 4 different items she knew what different ingredients went into all of them, which helped make my decision much easier. This DQ location is clean, looks good, smells good and most importantly the staff is knowledgeable about what they are selling and is super nice! I definitely will be coming back again if I am ever in the area and have a sweet tooth!

Forget those generic Carvel ice cream cakes at Publix, that have been in the freezer for god knows how long, and cannot be customized, Dairy Queen is where it's at, my friends! You can pick any design and filling that you'd like and have a cake that can feed about 8 at an affordable price, and who can say no to ice cream? Even my dad, who is not easily amused and has never cared for ice cream was wanting a second slice! My sister ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday and it was beautiful, I regret not taking a picture, but this time, I took a picture of my sister's birthday cake, which we had this past Saturday. It's not as beautiful as my daughter's but still, very pretty. The flowers are made from sugar, as are the little elves you may be able to see toward the bottom. The green grass is made from frosting, they really pay attention to details, as you can see! My sister ordered a half-vanilla, half-German chocolate and brownie interior, complete with brownie crumbs, and it was delicious. We're all trying to lose weight and it was so tempting to get a second slice! The prices are not bad either, considering the craftsmanship, they range from $20-$30. The soft buttery frosting on the top was the perfect topping to a cold, crunchy, nutty interior, which also had shaved coconut flecks. I cannot speak for other locations but the employees at this location do a great job with decorating and having the cake ready in time for pick-up. Easy, breezy and delicious, as well as a guaranteed hit for all in the family!

Everyone on here complaining about the owner--get over yourselves. He's FUNNY and he loves to joke around with people. I asked if "I can have a blizzard" and he said "you can't have it, but you can purchase it". And then he told me my total was $448 and asked if I wanted a $1 holiday spoon. He's a jokester and he made my day. Most people don't enjoy working with the public and taking the time to try and make people smile. He does. Open your minds and take a joke!!! Oh yes and the ice cream was great.

Terrible customer service. The girl who attended to me didn't even seem eager to assist me in any way and apparently she was senior management. Not the DQ way. Not going back there again. Used to be a DQ customer but now I will be sticking to eating fro you Very disappointing.If I am a customer one she be greeted with the utmost hospitality, a genuine smile and an eagerness to make sure the customer leaves satisfied no matter what. Sadly that was not the case when I went.

Aren't I glad I came in on a good night... after reading the other reviews, I'm kind of shocked at the horrors people have faced here just for some ice cream! I live near by, and never ever thought I'd end up here, but whats a girl to do when her best friend and husband want a blizzard? We were greeted by the white bearded man, and a young employee who were pretty patient while we stood there and decided which flavors we were getting. The white bearded man, helped us decide by telling us the most popular flavors and made a joke or two while we waited for the younger guys to make them. We were on our way, and they were as good as a blizzard should be.

Ice cream is amazing and I love that their drive thru is open late. Normally the kids working there are polite. That being said, today was different. The girl who gave us our order was not in the best mood. When she spilled some ice cream, she got visibly upset. I just took out a napkin from my car and cleaned the cup so my car would not get dirty. I did not say anything to her. When she saw me cleaning the cup, she slammed the window and yelled for me to just lick the cup. Someone else gave us the rest of our order. It was unnecessary for her to react in that way since I didn't mention or even ask her for napkins to clean her mess. She needs to control her attitude with her customers....

Not the type of ice cream I like. Don't get me wrong, people looove Dairy Queen such as my boyfriend but I'm not a fan. I got the cookie dough custard and then I got the Oreo one with fudge in the inside. This last one was actually pretty good but every time I eat Dairy Queen, it messes up with my stomach. The service was fast and the prices are not high at all!! I'm just not crazy about it.

This little spot is always good for a quick treat. The service is always nice and fast. I always try their latest treats just to see what flavors they come up with!!

I've been here 3 times and every time I left disappointed. Needless to say I won't come back again. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They take your order and work on it while looking at their phones. Also they have a problem with explaining the options on the menu, looks like they don't really want to sell. I've done some research and everyone is also complaining about the manager, this needs to be taken to corporate.

Dairy Queen! Is my favorite ice cream shop ever...I even worked at a Dairy Queen when I was 16! But this one? Terrible customer service. The employees do not know the menu. To top it all off, they would not accept a gift card of mine. They would only take a printed piece of paper, not a gift card number. After chatting for awhile they would not budge, and would not accept the gift card. I'm sorry but this is 2016, what kind of store does not accept a gift card? The toppings in the blizzards tasted old. All and all this was an extremely disappointing visit to Dairy Queen. I will not be returning to this location.

Drive through paying with gift card. After leaving we were chased down by employee stating card was declined. I just called and has balance available. Ended up paying with cash. Train your employee better on using gift cards!!!

The older man with the white beard is extremely rude and condescending. Avoid at all costs!! I live 5 blocks away from this location and still go to US1 location to get my Dairy Queen fix.

From what I see I'm not alone here at seeing the horrible customer service they have here. First let's start with the owners hygiene. They are dirty looking wearing open shoes and long beard and oily filthy hair Loose and worn down. Second, they treat their employees rude and yell and humiliate especially the young kids working for them. I have been there and experienced screaming matches between owners wife and young employee. Definitely, should be reported to the labor commission. Apparently they hire young kids but don't train them well and manage the establishment poorly. If they could train their employees as well as they yell then it would work out. I think owners are too old and losing their patience. Usually we get great customer service, but today the young lady in the drive through window wasn't the usual for us. Let's just say, her customer service was not quality as this location has always provided. Are family has been coming here for years. The ice cream quality is always superb. Hopefully change or training is made, wouldn't want to go elsewhere.

This is the second time I had such a horrible experience at this Diary Queen. The owner of this store is the rudest human being I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. When ordering through the drive through I said " I would like a vanilla soft serve" to which his response should be in a cup or a cone. Instead, his response was "you want it in your hand" excuse me? He again said " do you want it in your hand" I said no in a cone. To which his super rude response was " that's better" . This is the second and last time I go to this place. What a rude and disgusting person. The store is also very poorly taken care of. A word of advice customers make or break your store treat them with respect you jerk!

Santa looking man was rude. Screamed at us about some coupons we had. The way he addressed us was just nasty and uncalled for. No professionalism. We will not be returning.

Older man that operates the drive - thru (I believe he's the franchise owner) is extremely rude and condescending. This man has absolutely no business in a customer relations capacity. Additionally, this location is severely outdated. I would probably reccomend the US-1 location in Pinecrest.

You just can't go wrong with the choco-brownie blizzard! Very friendly staff. I went through the drive-they and they offered my puppy her own ice cream for free.

I've been coming to this Dairy Queen ever since I was a fetus inside my mothers womb. Even though she knew it would possibly result in a labor that could compare to the Michelin Man's mother, she paid it no mind (and that's the story of my name). Ice cream has been my favorite lunch and dinner companion since then, and now that I live about 1 block away from this place (I promise it wasn't on purpose...or was it?) I think my relationship with this Dairy Queen was truly meant to be. Since being faithful is expected in a relationship, regular stops and engorging large portions of their deliciousness is a must. Seriously, I am also giving a shout-out to this ice cream shop because the owner of this particular store is not only one of the sweetest and funniest dudes around, but is also a philanthropist, and his stores charitable works can be regularly seen displayed in the shop.
