I'm so mad I just waisted my money on 2 chicken strips that are the size of a ketchup packets. SMH do better Dairy Queen. I use to love these chicken strips as a kid but I won't be returning again after this experience.

I was in here yesterday (a Wednesday evening) maybe an hour or two before close. All I ordered was the Superman blizzard that was limited edition for the new movie. Was super excited about it. I get there and order with my partner; the blizzard is literally the only thing we order. We sit waiting for 10 minutes and people come and go and get their orders. It took nearly 20 minutes and us going up to the counter to ask about the status of my Large blizzard only to find out it had been made and literally was melting on the counter. They gave it to me after it was mostly melted but I didn’t start eating it until we had actually left. It was so frustrating because there was literally no one in the building and the workers did not look busy at all. Door dashers were coming in and out as well and they were being served, just not me even though I wasn’t out of view from the counter. The blizzard tasted fine, but obviously had melted. The older lady who realized we hadn’t gotten it yet clearly felt bad, but the younger girl seemed to have zero care :/

On 03/20/2025 at 06:30, I ordered a chocolate-covered vanilla cone but received a refrigerated one instead. When I politely asked for a fresh cone, a staff member wearing a black collared t-shirt and curly hair responded aggressively, saying “they take what we give them.” While I understand the job can be hectic, I believe customers should receive what they’ve paid for without issue. This staff member may benefit from additional training on customer service. However, I appreciate the young lady who kindly made me a fresh cone.

I had a great experience at this Dairy Queen today, thanks to Reggie, who was attentive, respectful, and made sure my order matched what I asked for—no pushback, no confusion, just excellent customer service. He handled everything with care and professionalism, which I truly appreciated. I’d also like to recognize his supervisor, Disha, whose leadership was evident. It’s clear she fosters a supportive environment where team members are trusted to do their jobs well and respond to customers thoughtfully. I’ve been a customer at this Dairy Queen for many, many years, and today’s experience reminded me why. Thank you, Reggie and Disha!

Google
Absolutely the worst DQ I've ever been to. Went thru the drive thru and ordered ONE mini blizzard. People in front of me order 4 items but couldn't get it together with the person at the window. Waited at least 15 mins. for them to get it together. Got to the window, paid and waited another 10-15 mins to get my ONE mini blizzard. Workers arguing behind the window at each other but loudly so I could hear. Finally received a very messy mini blizzard with ice cream dripping down side of cup. I would NOT recommend this location and I will not be back!

Google
They do extraordinarily delicious ice cream cakes, like the Oreo Blizzard Cake with drizzled candies inside and on-top. I buy them for my office for events now—it's one of those things you just have to try! I had no idea DQ did these kind of cakes until I saw them in-person. Here are some of the heart-shaped cakes that were also available here last year on V-Day. I love all their cakes.. but I've had really good food from here as well. Favorite food items: the original blizzards (esp. Oreo and Reese's), their sundaes, DQ chicken strips, and also cheese curds!

Google
Ordered a large chocolate come they gave me a vanilla one. After asking about it they looked at us like we screwed up. We came there because you are the only DQ that’s had chocolate soft serve. You screwed up.

The lady in the drive thru was so nice & patient. You don't get that to often anymore. I wish I would have gotten her name.

Yelp
I went through the drive-through. Service was really quick. I got a blizzard and a hotdog. Both came out right. I have no complaints. I will definitely come back again.

Yelp
Lots of negative reviews.... But TLDR; it's fine. Sure you have to wait but I think it's not that bad of a wait. The 2 staff that were inside seemed to be working pretty fast, they also wore masks, and it was good - hot/fresh taste. Think people come on this app to complain or rave, but it's fineeeeee.

Yelp
I really like Dairy Queen so much I like desserts and foods. Oreo Blizzard Cake Chicken Strip Basket And Hot Dogs

Yelp
I love Dairy Queen and this location is awesome. Thanks to TASHA for always making my banana splits exactly like I like them.

Yelp
I stopped by to get my lil bro a chicken strip basket with a blizzard. While in the drive thru, my car started smoking so I got out of line and pulled over in the parking lot. The owner/GM was so kind. He checked my car and helped identified what the issue was. He kept coming outside to check on us and even offered us some water and a fountain drink as we waited for the tow truck.

Erica B.

Yelp
I wish I could leave zero stars. Poor customer service, zero mask considerations... and the worst part: there was recently a dead body found in the parking lot yet the staff didn't bother to call the police. I used to come to this location but cannot fathom eating from this kitchen. Frankly, I'm shocked corporate has not yet shut down this location. It's gross... period.

Yelp
Went in during lunch. I had to flag down an employee as there weren't any at the front counter and no one appeared. The guy that took my order was less than friendly, no smile and barely any words. The food was good and my order was accurate. The 3 stars is based on service and the fact that this place needs to spend some money on upgrading. It's very 90s in here (see pics).

Ella R.

Yelp
got my blizzard relatively quickly despite a decent amount of cars in the drive-thru, staff were polite.

Yelp
You have to sit in line too long for ice cream. They won't open the store not even for take out! You have to sit and wait so long because of the food orders. Seem like they would park the cars with food orders and run the orders out to the cars.Even if it's just for lunch. So that the guest that are buying ice cream are not inconvenienced. I think they would make more money that way too. I saw three cars turn around and leave and I'm sure it was because of the long wait. I know that is why I left.

Yelp
I felt compelled to review this Dairy Queen because of the friendliness of the owner when she took my order in the drive thru. My grandma kind of sent me on a dummy mission because she was talking to her sister who lives in Maryland and her sister told her how good Dairy Queen's fish sandwich and cheeseburger was. Her sister told her they had a 2 for $5 special on this. No matter how many times I explain to my lovely grandmother that promotions differ from state to state, she wanted that fish sandwich and burger. I pull up to the drive thru and I don't see the fish sandwich. So I ask the young lady who came up over the speaker and she told me they do have one it just isn't on the drive thru menu. Imagine my surprise when the fish sandwich and burger came up to less than $5 with tax. As I waited for the food, she chatted with me and offered me a cup of water (without me asking). She was so very polite and kind and you can tell it was genuine and not the fake customer service politeness. If I'm ever over here and have a random craving for a blizzard (which I haven't in years), I will come here. #Yelp100

Yelp
This is our regular spot for over a year now and we always left happy and satisfied! It doesn't matter how it looks on the outside or the inside (they're doing renovations right now) the people always make the experience fun. Alan, Bobby, Juwan, Kruti, and Disha all freakin rock!! They always have a smile and are so inviting. They already know what we want, except when we change it up on them. ;) We love them! Side Note: If you want special customized flavors and sizes, they gladly make it for you! They even made me a special vegetarian onion ring sandwich once (the Kruti special).

Yelp
Nuts and bolts: Went there simply because I had an after-work craving. Went through the drive thru, so I cannot comment on the interior. It is a bit of a rundown building- not fancy DQ here. But I was happy that is was a brazier and didn't serve only ice cream. Pros: The service was really great. The guy asked if I needed everything before I could even ask. I mean- really superb. Cons: Unfortunately, the food. IDK what was up with the ice cream. It wasn't my regular blizzard. It didn't seem to have as much flavor. The fries were HORRENDOUS. BTW, they do not have a medium size. They were cooked to long and had no salt whatsoever. Probably some of the worst fries I have ever had. And I takes alot for me to want to throw away fries. :-( Neutral: They don't stay open too late. Take home: Try another location.

Yelp
The worker hardly spoke English; she kept saying "6?" Okay, 6 chicken strips" after I said 3 strips about 20 times. Then when we pulled around and she said the total which seemed too high for just a 3-strip entree and 2 mini blizzards. I asked her politely to repeat the order. She rolled her eyes literally as hard as she could it was so extra then repeated it in an annoyed tone. Then both blizzards literally tasted like acid as if they had been stored in a Ziplock bag for 5 years then defrosted an hour earlier. It was nasty. 0 stars and I love DQ normally. This is also my first review ever if that tells you anything about how rude she was. Name on receipt is Muskan; you a hoe.

Yelp
Just left here. Waited 5 minutes at the counter before someone took my order. Then ate my ice cream and went into the bathroom to wash my hands. The sink faucet in the men's room was broken. How are the employees washing their hands? They aren't. Enjoy that dipped cone with extra bacteria. PS I mentioned it to an employee as I left ( one of 2 employees taking a break while customers waited). He did not seem concerned. Supposedly this place gets a 100 rating. Good thing it is close to a Grady outpatient clinic.

Yelp
I went in today and it had to have been 100 degrees inside, even thought it was only 83 outside. Someone explain that one to me. It was literally too hot to sit in there. I got through the first layer of my blizzard and realized they hadn't mixed it at all, so it was all just vanilla ice cream. Who likes plain vanilla ice cream? I threw it out, I'm still pissed.

Yelp
This dairy queen is a STAPLE on north ave. It is like a good friend. It's always there when I need it. (Except when it is closed. Then I become very sad.) Drive through, dine in... it's always appropriate. The people that work there are great. They turn the blizzard upside down and everything when they give it to you. They are happy. They make my peanut buster parfait PERFECT every single time. I unfortunately, can't get enough. When I hit age 40, maybe my body will start rejecting peanut buster parfaits on its own - I hope. I don't really have the type of self-control necessary to not participate in such delights.

Yelp
This is a Classic style DQ. No frills...but 100 percent clean inside and a well run operation with very friendly staff. Looks family owned and operated, and that makes a big difference. Will return.

Yelp
To the extent that we only use the drive though and have only bought soft serve treats, this review is tempered a bit. But when it comes to this sort of limited drive through experience, this DQ stands head and shoulders above all the others I have ever been to. The man who I talked to and the lady who served us may have been the franchisees but they were so nice that I could not deny them a 4 star thumbs up. Btw, Yelp shows the wrong map location for them. The "N" in their address means "North Avenue".

Yelp
I stopped by DQ today with my non-adventurous eating friend. She has been going to this location for years because she loves the chicken strip basket (comes with fries and some toast). I have to admit, I'm a huge fan too. Today she ordered the chili dog and it was good. This location is super clean and I noticed they got a 99 on their health inspection, which is more than some fancy pants places get. The service was VERY friendly and while yes, this is fast food, it was really fast. The french fries were hot and pretty damn good. If you're looking for fast food on North Ave., go to DQ. The staff is really nice and I think it's family owned. I have only been twice, but my friend who goes quite a bit said they never mess up her order. And who can resist a dilly bar or a cone with that chocolate hard dip stuff?

Leiana J.

Yelp
As soon as I move to a new place, I locate the nearest DQ. I lived in Decatur and used to frequent the one on the edge of the Agnes Scott campus. Now I go to this one and am equally happy. The service is friendly, the food is fast. They turn the blizzards upside-down when they serve them (I have a strong belief that all DQs should do this). I do wish the seating area was a little cleaner, but they did score high on their health inspection. There's a large area in this particular restaurant with no seats. I like to think is a dance floor (who wouldn't want their prom or wedding to involve DQ?). Perhaps I'm fooling myself, but going to DQ gives me a feeling that I'm supporting a middle-class family. Perhaps, my ice cream paid a percentage of the franchise owner's oldest daughter's college fees. Even if this is not true, I highly recommend believing it because it makes me feel that much happier about my ice cream. Yes, perhaps it's not healthy for your cardiovascular system, but it's definitively good for the soul.

Yelp
A-ok for me. Only went through the d/t but the employees were really nice and patient with my indecisiveness. I never travel down north ave, I'm always on the adjacent ponce. I love that DQ is in my neighborhood! now I can get my chilli-cheese hot dogs and greasy ass cheeseburgers and dilly bars, and banana splits, and slushy floats and of course the blizzards...oh how i heart the blizzards

Yelp
I'm tired of this "pretend to be good for you" froyo trend. Sometimes I want hormone and pesticide filled (if that's even possible) ice cream, blended with unnatural food colorings and corn syrup filled candies. When that mood strikes, you will find me in the drive-thru at this Dairy Queen, hoping that no one sees me, ordering a mint Oreo blizzard. It comes out shocking neon-green, but don't let that scare you. Don't you know mint leaves are supposed to be fluorescent? Sign up for their Blizzard Lover's Club and they'll email you 2-for-1 coupons once a month. Now just to find a friend I can share this embarrassing addiction with...

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. I know visually the exterior isn't the most appealing, however the food didn't disappoint and both the burger and fries were hot and delicious! I'll admit the bun didn't look the freshest, but I could just be me nitpicking at that point. Either way it wasn't enough to detract from the overall experience. Keep up the great customer experience!

Yelp
Okay I'm going to be completely blunt about this DQ location- it's horrible. The staff is rude and talks badly about customers after they walk away from the counter. The food is severely lackluster. Like okay I get that this is fast food, but that doesn't mean my burger should look like it's been to hell and back. I have been here twice and twice I have been disappointed. They also follow the trend of fast food joints that charge for sauce... or so it seems. One time I went through the drive-thru and asked for ranch and didn't get charged. However on the inside I was charged a whopping 53 cents for a small container of ranch. Then the other employees snickered behind her.. almost as if she was lying about me being charged. My girlfriend loves DQ, but I can assure you I will be finding another one.

Roberta L.

Yelp
My first fast food review....this is about the lovely woman in the drive-thru window. I only ordered a hamburger. When I got to the window she asked me if I would like a cup of water! I know that seems like a small thing but it was unexpected and much appreciated, no one ever asks. And the burger was hot and yummy. Oh, and she told me the DQ in downtown Decatur will reopen. :-)

Chandler C.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst service I have ever received at a food establishment. Horrible service with disrespectful employees, dirty dining room and the staff had little to no knowledge of the menu. When they messed up my order for the third time, they realized there was an up-charge of 85 cents and took my credit card to swipe it again. I would recommend this restaurant to not even my enemies. If you want ice cream or a burger in a hurry this is not the place for you--it took them an extended period of time to fill the order (messed up the first time) and even longer when they did it the second time.

Yelp
very poor service. Sometimes old lady working over there her customer service is horrible, when you ask something and if she doesnt like it then she speaks in her language so nobody can understand.
