Dairy Queen (Treat)

This DQ usually has a long line in the summer. Of course the ice cream is good but I want to give a shout out to the employees because they’re great and I appreciate them. They always provide good service and are always kind.

It is now Sprinkles. They have fixed the glass on the building and have improved the outdoor sitting area. The soft serve was good.

Definitely a vintage DQ, and so worth it! Walk-up only, but plenty of space to mingle and enjoy a dairy treat. Neat old photos around the building too.

Showed up at 8:15pm and they’re supposed to be open until 9pm. This happens very often and much earlier than 8:15pm. If you’re short staffed or there is some issue, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR HOURS. I run a business and this takes 30 seconds to do on Google and is a huge deal for customer service. It’s not hard for you to do this but it makes a big impact on your customers. We plan our evening around this once every couple months and have been continually disappointed by seemingly random early closings. Sometimes by many hours.

The young folks working at this Dairy Queen need training. As we were being handed our smoothies and ice cream, one of the young man burped so LOUND, my daughter turned around and asked me who burped. He then came to the window and instead of saying excuse me he tried to play it off. That was disgusting. My mango pineapple smoothies looked and tasted like water down whole Milk with sugar. They were not wearing gloves. NEVER COMING BACK!

Place is barely open and when it is the service is atrocious. One visit this summer (probably my last ever to this location, go to the one further up Lexington for better service) I asked for a royal oreo blizzard. They tell me that isn't an item anymore and that I should learn the menu and stop wasting their time. I then ask if they could make a blizzard with just oreos in it. They said no, that's against the rules. I then ask for a cookie dough blizzard and they put up a huge fuss about making it but they agreed to do it. When I get the blizzard it's basically completely melted and not to the typical consistency that you would find in a blizzard. They wouldn't give me a refund so I did a charge back with the bank. It wouldn't surprise me if this place doesn't open back up in the spring.

Tried to grab some ice cream with my daughter today (July 11, 2024). Waited in line for 20 minutes and no one ever came to the window, but there were 4-5 people inside the building. While we waited we could see other people come and go from the store who were clearly not employees, but were inside the building. The place reeked of weed and there was a group of people hanging out by the back door smoking. Finally after 20 minutes, one family was finally asked for their order, but then the window closed again. It took 10 minutes for them to make 3 Blizzards. Meanwhile no other orders were taken. Customers started leaving. We waited another 5 minutes or so and left. This is not the first time I've had a experience like this at the Roseville Dairy Queen...but it was the worst and my last. We'll be making a bit longer drive to the DQ on Lake Street where you can actually buy your kid an ice cream.

Came at 8pm, guy told us they were closed and turned us and 2 others away with the open sign on too!
