This is like my lolly shop!!! I love everything there. Many items are made in Japan. At such prices, they're an absolute bargain. The ceramic dishes are cute, stationery and storage items are great. I can't think of another shop where I can get all these products in a single shop. It's worth spending time there to browse all the isles. Please support them!

Kinda weird that it smelled strongly like human feces throughout the store. I had to hold my coffee up to my face to get through. The concerning part is that my friend who went a few months ago said "oh, I forgot it smelled like this." I'd have stayed much longer otherwise.

Fuck you Google

It smells like a raw sewage treatment plant, the exposed plumbing in the store isn't helping the smell either. Also Daiso is way to expensive now i could get the same snacks cheaper down the street from the Sanrio Friends store or the Japanese convenience store on pitt street. But seriously it smells like actual human waste, fine if your from a third world country but that is unacceptable in the middle of Sydney.

Round round round round

the sewerage smell in here is absolutely shocking and disgraceful, upon leaving the shop i had felt like i could not breathe properly anymore and the smell still lingered in my lungs. worried for the workers here who are exposed to this smell for long hours!

This Daiso store is located inside The Galleries in Townhall. I prefer this store over other Daiso due to the spacious size. The staff are nice. There are a good range of food and everyday products, though sometimes the stock is not updated quick enough.

Daiso stores have some of the items that are not available elsewhere, so when in Sydney we’d stop and have a browse here. In April 2022 all items were $3.10 each except those with a different price tag. This one is located one level down, the entrance is off 501 George Street or Kent Street.
