The 21 Best Restaurants In Margate - London - The Infatuation

"The best time to visit Daisy is at golden hour. The cocktail bar, on Margate’s Cliff Terrace, doesn’t get as packed as the main seafront and is the ideal place to watch the sunset over the water. But it’s not the only reason to come (especially since most of the time the weather is not serving ‘put your sunnies on’). The cocktails are excellent and creative, but not fussy. It’s the kind of place that describes their tequila-spiked verdita as “very ‘Gwyneth Paltrow smoking one cigarette a week’”. The warm room and warm hospitality invite lingering, especially if you get a space in the cosy basement." - jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

The food was amazing.. everything was cooked to perfection and so flavourful. The staff was lovely and really attentive. The cocktails were the real star of the show, so unique and delicious. Little Esme was a bonus. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely amazing roast!! Can tell the chef cares about the food they put out and the owner and staff (including Esme! 🐶) make you feel really looked after. Came during the storm, felt cosy and warm with delicious food & tasty orange wine 🍊 friends had the best Bloody Mary they’ve ever had. Miso smoked cabbage and beef top marks. Easy 5*’s!

I wish I got photos of our drinks and food, but the only photo I have is of Esme (the owner's dog), who was taking a little break from greeting and snuggling up with guests. We came by after a dinner in town and got the beef fat popcorn and smoked tofu with soy mushrooms as sides - mmm tasty! The cocktails were so creative and the descriptions were hilarious. I agree with the other reviewer that it felt like being in a friend's living room. The receipt also had the train ticket times too for anyone needing to head home late. So thoughtful. We'd definitely be back!

Daisy is lovely, feels like having a drink in a friend’s living room. Cocktails were creative, original (they do classics as well) and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing was service was slow, however we weren’t in a rush and could see that the bartender (possibly the owner) was the only one working the floor and making drinks at 6pm on a Saturday night but I think this was due to his staff being late to work so we definitely don’t hold it against him but suggest allowing a little extra time to enjoy the atmosphere and not stress about time if you have somewhere else to be.

This is a lovely venue, beautiful atmosphere and art on the walls. The food was delicious and the cocktails have a good choice.

The food and drink I had were tasty. The dill relish with the cornbread was interesting. Had a nice welcome from the little dog hanging around in the restaurant.

One of my all time favourite bars! I always pop down when I’m in town. Their cocktail menu is so interesting (and delicious) with a lovely view of the sea and Lido sign. Not had a chance to try the food yet (besides the cinnamon doughnut)
