Dakota 94

Nice neighborhood pub. Good variety of beverages and food items. Having said, given the price point, the food is not flavorful enough to stand out. I expected a lot more out of $18 giant pretzel, which turned out to be a a loaf of bread with a bland cheese sauce. This place is probably better suited for happy hour before heading home from work rather than a dining out.

This is a follow-up to a previous review for a previous visit we made to Dakota 94. We gave a high rating then with the only drawback being the nachos. We had ordered a bunch of dishes for takeout and everything was really delicious except for the nachos, which oddly did not have any cheese on them. Maybe just an oversight in the kitchen but seemed strange in what was otherwise a very enjoyable dinner. We stopped in at Dakota 94 to dine in on a sunny Chicago afternoon, and as you can see from the photograph, with the open-air front of the restaurant, Dakota 94 isn't like any other restaurant in the area! You can really enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while you enjoy your meal! The staff here is terrific, too, they really do treat you like family here. We ordered the cheese curds and Bavarian pretzel for starters, both of which tasted great. The portion size for the curds was incredible, it could've been an entree all by itself! We ordered the chicken sandwiches and the walleye sandwich (pictured) and both were delicious. Would very highly recommend Dakota 94 for some great classic American eats. A great place with great service!

Wow! Finally got the chance to come and try out Dakota 94. I had plenty of people telling me to try and I finally did. It did not disappoint! Having a family environment, TVs with the game on, friendly staff and good drinks. I was already loving it even before the food. We tried the bison burger, chicken avocado sandwich, kids menu - cheese burger and kids menu- spaghetti. None of it disappointed and I even had to try the kids food and was impressed. This is a must try place. Highly recommend!

We'll first time trying it out. It was the best homemade meatloaf I never had. Best item on the menu and they were out of it. Disappointed to say the least. We will give it a try next time we come to visit our daughter next year.

Yummmmmm... Rosé on tap, check. Friendly service, check. On time warm food, check. Value for the price, check. If you have not tried this place, then turn around and head over. Environment has such a positive vibe. The food is delicious, and if you want to substitute you can. Came here only because another location was closed, took a risk and boy am I glad I did. I will continue to stop in for brunch or dinner. Either way it’s bookmarked as a favorite on my list.

Lovely place for a private party and more. Food was super delicious, waitress was indeed pleasant and very accommodating. No, it wasn’t my b-day but our friend aka ‘the b-day girl’ ‘Alina’ brought us flowers. All together a sweet gathering with dear friends to celebrate 🎊 🥳 🎂 🎈❣️

Very happy to see this restaurant in my old hood. Everything was solid. Food, service, ambience, decor. Thank you for taking care of me and my family. Came back and this place is even better! Outstanding service and food!

This a new place in the place of the former Mia Familia. Very clean, modern casual menu, nice wine selection. Food was well prepared & the staff was attentive. However, delivery from the kitchen was less than timely. All were served at the same time but one dish. When brought to the attention of the waitress, we told it was in the oven. I don't make my omelet in the oven; does anyone? Other staff noticed & checked two more time. Clearly they missed the item. It did come but after some of us were done. Most places would have comped the dish. On street parking some metered. Maybe free parking in the church parking lot on the next block. New restaurant hopefully will get their act together. Otherwise would have been 5 stars. Second visit. Less impressive. Busy. Plenty of families which is cool. Loud music to the point that waiter could not hear. Food came out spread over 15 minutes. Mixed reviews on the food. Clearly the food has moved away from what restaurant was orginislly depicted. What exactly does Mexican food have to do with Dakota? A good part of the menu was now Mexican. Good Mexican but not one would expect from the name.
