"With locations at MIA Market and Shoma Bazaar, this is where to go if you’re craving pasta in one of the city’s most popular food halls. Naturally, there’s a delightful cacio e pepe on the menu that uses tellicherry peppercorns (bigger than the usual ones) that gives it an extra oomph in the pepe portion of the dish." - Amber Love Bond

"Porcini mushroom fettuccine has a special place in Dal Plin owner Elisabetta Callegaro’s heart. As a child, she would venture into the woods with her family to pick mushrooms for their traditional recipe. At Dal Plin, Callegaro and her husband Massimo Tundo serve fettuccine wrapped around luscious porcini cooked in garlic, vegetable stock, and extra virgin olive oil, with a touch of butter and Parmigiano. A light herbal mix of sage, rosemary, and thyme complement the robust, earthy flavor of the standout dish." - Juliana Accioly

Loved the Italian girl that works there at the cashier! Just because of her, I decided to stay and have dinner there. The pasta is good but seems a little bit too simple - just Parmesan and pepper 😕 Like I expect a little basil on top and honestly, surprised they don’t serve the pesto pasta. It is cool that they make the pasta in-house. It was tasty and I was surprised it filled me up but as someone mentioned before it is not a big portion. Great to try but don’t think I will get back!

Google
Easily the BEST alfredo I’ve had in my life. Pasta is fresh and the sauces are delicious. The bolognese was good too but the alfredo… chef’s kiss. Will definitely be coming back to Miami just for the alfredo! Did I mention how good the alfredo is?

Purvik Patel

Google
Really good food. I got truffle pasta but truffle might not have been fresh but it was delicious. Cacio de pepe was also delicious. I would probably get that next time. The black pepper was really coming nicely. The ravioli was delicious as well

Google
It was an excellent Italian… until they sold it. Now, its a gimmicky, tasteless nook in a corner. The portions are an insult. I am so sad this happened. Previous owners were great and had excellent taste in food. Now, its one of those places thought out to squeeze all the money they can out of a client.

Google
Phenomenal Italian restaurant at the St. Roch food court! Everything is fresh and it’s the highest quality. The pasta is freshly made every day by the best ingredients you can imagine, all imported from Italy. This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in Miami and as good as top Italian restaurants in Italy! Everything there is soooo delicious. Don’t miss the Fettuccini Fungi Alfredo, this is crazy - the best I’ve ever eaten. The Tiramisu is exactly how it’s suppose to be - exact portion between the lady fingers, espresso, cream and cacao - it’s amazing! The owners are very nice as well, they know what they are doing :) Highly recommended! Don’t miss out this hidden gem!!!

Google
Great local Italian restaurant w/a few excellent Vegan options. Everything is super fresh & delicious, made w/high quality ingredients. The owner is very nice & accomodating.

Google
Some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. The pomodoro w/ burrata and fettuccine alfredo are amazing!!!

Google
Amazing food, the pasta is home made. I ordered the special which was black truffle fettuccini, the taste was incredible.

Yelp
I visited again and decided to try something different, even though I was craving the red sauce. I tried the cacio e pepe, after having wanted to try it for a while. I'm glad I tried it, but I like the pomodoro better. I almost only gave three stars because of the service. Both times I've gone, I've tried to ask questions and the employees weren't very helpful. It also took over 20-25 minutes to get my order each time. I understand that it's made fresh, but my husband ordered from a different vendor after me (also fresh), and got his food way before me each time.

Farah A.

Yelp
The pasta here is magnificent! I've come to MIA market a few times and usually gravitate towards the sushi, or sandwiches but this time I was craving pasta and Dal Plin truly hit the spot. We ordered the pink sauce pasta with burrata and a few pizzas to share and loved every bit of it! The food haul itself is such a nice lively ambiance and is great for a squad that's looking to enjoy different flavors.

Yelp
Love Dal Plin. Usually stop by to get their veggie soup of the day. It was Butternut squash today. Delicious!!!

Natasha L.

Yelp
i am frustrated. I am a loyal customer traveling far and wide to come enjoy this glorious pasta but let me tell you i have never felt more bamboozled than I do right now. This restaurant has a menu and that menu has prices and those prices ARENT REAL. I ordered a 21$ bucatini yet my bill was 27$. WTF is that about??? i asked and the dude ringing me up added gratuity mind you, this is a fast casual space. You go up to the kiosk, you order your food and when it's ready you get out of your chair and you pick it up. NO GRATUITY IS NECESSARY HERE. Why did he chose that for me? I signed up for a 21$ pasta why are you shadily giving yourself a tip that i did not agree to. Suffice it to say, i am heated rn.

Yelp
The pizza looked so good so I decided to stop by and get some . There are a lot of options on the food choice in this Mia Market place. Got the margarita pizza but didn't taste anything like it. The dough is so thick and the cheese is so little. The worse pizza I ever had.

Kara B.

Yelp
36 dollar truffle pasta without the truffles or mushrooms. What I ordered and paid for. Vs what I got. When I questioned them because it's $36 they said this is the same thing and they don't make the prices the boss does.

Dev F.

Yelp
Incredible Italian food. So underrated. I like everything I get from them without exception

Andrew H.

Yelp
Came to the boujee food court in Miami Design District and wasn't sure what to get. Nothing really appealed to me, but Dal Plin stood out because their pastas are handmade and the chef was from Italy. The service was also really great, the chef was telling me what their favorite dish was (speghetti maranara burrata) and you can tell they take a lot of pride in it, so I was like sure. The dish wasn't cheap, $24 (speghetti burrata) + $7 (one meatball) = $31 for speghetti and meatballs, with a cheeseball. It was good, and the handmade pasta did make a difference, there was definitely skill in making it. The sauce was really good, and the burrata fit it really well. It was pricey and I wouldn't eat here again, but it was a satisfying meal.

Vero V.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday. The lady at the cash register super rude. I was asking for a pizza and rudely she said there were no mushrooms and the chef was not making pizza at this time (was not even 5pm mind you) and was only doing pasta. I understood however the lady at the cashier could've been 100x nicer. Would not recommend only because of her. A shame because if I was told this nicer I would've definitely bought a pasta.

Yelp
The pandemic made this spot occasionally unavailable. But, they have persisted, survived, and continue to passionately produce Miami's best Italian. Dinner with a friend on a Friday night consisted of: Eggplant Parmigiana Risotto with shrimps and asparagus Lasagna The husband and wife team that are Dal Plin are on site, making up for employees who chose federal unemployment relief over honest work. Despite being worked constantly, they are courteous, warm, friendly and patient. Their customer service skills are above and beyond for any city; in Miami, it's a 12/10! The eggplant parm is precise and exquisite. Thin slices, quickly fried without being greasy. Layered and lathered in tomato sauce and cheese. Fantastic! The risotto had a texture so impossibly perfect, it takes you out of a Miami food hall and drops you squarely in Rome on the Via della Vetrina. Al dente, not crunchy and not starchy. Never had better on this side of the Atlantic. The shrimp cooked to juicy. Excellence!! The lasagna is fabulous and authentic. After ordering it 2 dozen times, I can say with confidence that it never disappoints. Multiple layers of broad flat pasta, a tastily seasoned bolognese in between. It's not a lack of imagination that causes me to order this on every visit - it's the deliciously predictable enjoyment of an unfaltering passion that Dal Plin has for satisfyingly exceptional food. Always 5 star!!!

Michael T.

Yelp
Really enjoyed their lobster fettuccine, their pizza and their eggplant parmigiana. Friendly service and quick. Hands down one of the best at MIA Market.

Taylor G.

Yelp
Food was absolutely Delicious!! We had the truffle pasta (first time trying truffle) and it was the best thing we had all week! Not to mention the chef was so sweet and friendly! 10/10 recommend this place!

Gisel S.

Yelp
Hands down some of the best tasting pasta I have had in MIA. We had the spaghetti pomodoro and the bucatini Casio e Pepe. Heafty price tag for an eatery, but soooo worth it. Simply delicious!

Lana T.

Yelp
Wow!!!! Now that I gave a baby and I'm looking for GOOD food with a family atmosphere....this is it (sushi yasu Tanaka added too). Venue (5/5) great for a more casual meal with 5 star food. Perfect for a family or non stuffy group. Within the MIA market which is high class mixed with locals and tourists. I think though I'll give it as perfection for family foodies. Food (4/5) fantastic bolognese. A bit pricey (22 dollars) but I'll pay for the quality food. Service (5/5) good service

Santiago L.

Yelp
Honestly, it was just bad.... for such an expensive price it should at least taste good, also all employers were just either having a bad day or just being mean to everyone.. idk not one smile. lastly they gave me no silverware and when asked they gave me a mean look and gave me dirty ones, so I had to ask for new ones and they made me feel as if I was at fault for asking for clean silverware. great locations great views but terrible experience. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, 4/10 My Gf ordered Classic Lasagna 1/10

Mark E.

Yelp
What I love about this place is the simplicity of its menu: cacio e pepe, bolognese, spaghetti pomodoro . . . you get the idea. Simple, however, doesn't mean easy. These dishes step away all pretense and quickly give the diner an insight into the kitchen's level of skill. My dish displayed perfect balance - the pasta just form to the bite, neither overwhelming the sauce nor getting overwhelmed by it, the bolognese delivering classic rich flavor with succulent mouth feel and subtle seasoning. Students of cooking should come here to study simple, elegant execution of home style cooking. But be warned: simple don't mean cheap, either. You'll pay a premium to eat here - I don't think any dish by itself lets you get away for anything under $20 if you get a bottle of water with it - which may give pause to the foodie who has a hard time reconciling the price tag given you could theoretically make the same dish at home for 1/100th of the menu price. Ah, but could you really? I say, save it for a fun occasion, but do come here. You'll learn something and enjoy yourself immensely.

Sheldon K.

Yelp
Terrible! Went in on Friday 2pm and ordered Margarita pizza. It took close to forty minutes. It was terrible. The staff couldn't care less.

Alfred B.

Yelp
Disgusted whenI saw guy at register taking cash- then going to cut bread and using his bare unwashed hands after touching money- to then using a dirty wet dish towel to clean his hands- to him putting my to go order together and using his bare hands to collect the shrimp and place on top of my risotto. Never going to eat from here again- severely unsanitary.

Jessica T.

Yelp
I've eaten here a couple of times, most recently this weekend. I've had three things here that I've absolutely loved. Gnocchi, first let me tell you I'm a sucker for gnocchi. I'm a sucker for gnocchi with white sauce. I'm a sucker for gnocchi with Gorgonzola. They have this here! they pair it with honey and some greens which add such an interesting and memorable taste to the way they make it. It's usually hard for me to chose a pasta without a protein in it, but i high recommend it. Lasagna- it is absolutely delicious, i ask them in the past to add some of the Gorgonzola cream sauce (use in the gnocchi on top) and it makes it so much better. I definitely think they should make that an option thats recommended. The lobster pasta is to die for. It's so light and has a little bit of spice with the red flakes that they add. I also highly recommend. I've never eat anything here that I wouldn't love to order again.

Lina R.

Yelp
Best Italian food in Miami. These are some of the dishes we've had and can't say enough how delicious all have been: burrata salad, bucatini cacio e pepe, spinach ravioli, classic lasagna, the Italian mushroom fettuccine and more. One time we ordered to go and the attention to detail in the packing was very thoughtful. The spot is inside a food hall so there is no table service therefore I think the prices are a bit high but is so worth it! You won't regret it!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Small place with BIG flavors. Just wow. The pizza is light, airy, with a crust akin to focaccia. What really stood out was the sandwich. Everything was flawless: the bread, the mozzarella, and prosciutto. It was accompanied by the most delectable potatoes that my mom and I couldn't stop ooh-ing and ahh-ing about. I'd love to go back for dinner and try one of their pastas.

Gaby C.

Yelp
Got my order through Ubereats. My orecchiette with broccoli was delicious and so was the vegan creamy soup. Not sure what veggies they used but it was very flavorful. So happy they have vegan options! Good size portions too!

Isis N.

Yelp
People often make a face when I first tell them I'm vegan.... "Oh"... What they really had no idea is I can have anything they have... just better... Dal plin it's the perfect example... authentic Italian pasta... Not a vegan place, however their charming owners recognize the ever growing vegan community, and added 3 vegan dishes to their menu. Bravo!! Bravissimo!! Another great reason to come to St. Roch Market. I have to say this is the first time in years I had truly authentic Italian pasta... Plain and simple, Dal Plin it's a gem!!! No need to dust the passort and take a trip to Milan. Just ten minutes going west. I had the vegan bucatini pomodoro. Beautiful presentation. Suddenly, I felt happy. 'Al dente' was elevated to new highs under this duo's expertise. It was rich and delightful. I have the feeling you need years of experience to achieve the flavors on that sauce... My date chose the vegan orecchiette, and according to the empty bowl it was a hit. The orecchiette pasta held the broccoli sauce like a little scoop, making the experience luscious and decadent. We paired both dishes with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé, from The Mayhaw, the center bar at St. Roch. Amazing experience... hmmm... and romantic too...

Anna K.

Yelp
Horrible customer service!!! Shame on cashier girl Pls!!! it's your workplace! Bucatini Cacio & PepeParma Tortelloni

Jorge M.

Yelp
They don't answer their phone, I was supposed to pick up an order from this place and I had to park on the street where there is no parking and I risk getting a ticket however this restaurant is so arrogant and so unhelpful that they do not pick up the phone, I could not find them anywhere in the mall either, yeah no thanks I am not risking a $50 ticket for some trash food.

Betsey Z.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Felt as if I was in Italy enjoying authentic dishes. Everything was delicious! For having such a small kitchen we were surprised on the quality of the food. Definitely recommend and will visit again. We had the Spinach Ravioli in Pink Sauce, White Truffle Homemade Gnocchi and the Trio Vegetariano

Kristen C.

Yelp
We've been long-standing fans of dal plin for a while now. They recently just re-opened pick up in Politan Row. Picked up all our faves including the pizza, cacio e pepe, and bolognese!

Michelle L.

Yelp
I don't write reviews but I'll make an exception for Dal Plin. My boyfriend and I were too tired to walk to the restaurant we were planning to go, so we end up at St Roch Market. we were kinda worried because it is a food court after all. but I have to say, I have never had such good Italian food even when I was in Italy, not to mention the couple who runs the restaurant are super friendly and sweet. TRUFFLE FETTUCCINE & SPAGHETTI POMODORO SO GOOD IT MAKES YOU CRY

Valerie L.

Yelp
My husband and I ordered from Dal Plin for our anniversary and we absolutely loved what we had! The spaghetti pomodoro is unreal. So grateful to have such delicious vegan Italian food. The best meal I've had in a long time! Thank you Dal Plin for an incredible anniversary meal, even in a pandemic.

Yangsoo S.

Yelp
The best pasta I had this year, you can see them making fresh pasta with your eyes at the store. I didn't expect the quality of the dish to be this high, I fully recommend this business! I got Spaghetti Pomodoro and it was just perfect. Especially the noodles meet my standard(not al dente but just firm enough to have a good bite on it). I can't wait to go back and try another dish here!

Stefanie A.

Yelp
I've eaten here twice last time I was definitely more impressed than this time. That's why I rated it three stars. I love St Roch market but I wasn't as impressed with my dish this time. When I pay $26 for a pasta dish I expect to have fresh broccoli not frozen, my dish came with mostly stalks but I was so disappointed this past time. I am pretty sure the first time the dish had fresh broccoli and the portion size was much bigger. I'll definitely give them another try but I hope they consider fresh veggies vs frozen.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Work in the area. We recommend this place to clients all the time. The food is off the charts good. We've been eating here for a few years now. Everything is delicious. I love the lasagna!

Madelaine C.

Yelp
Dal Plin has some of the best pasta I've found outside of Italy! I tried the cacio e Pepe and the spinach ravioli in a sage brown butter sauce, and both were fabulous. To start, the pasta was cooked to al dente perfection. The cacio e Pepe was rich and creamy with a wonderful lightness. The ravioli was out of this world. The sage brown butter sauce was the perfect mix of herby richness to complement the spinach ravioli filling. I will be frequenting this restaurant for all of my pasta cravings!

Marcelo W.

Yelp
Cacio y Pepe how its meant to be done, perfecto! I will be back to try other dishes. Owner was onsite and super nice.

Katarina R.

Yelp
This place has the freshest pasta. Handmade right in front of you. It's located inside St. Roch Market in the back, and the owners are super friendly! I always get the bucatini pomodoro and cant help but eat the whole dish each time. Love that they have a vegan section on the menu! This is my go-to spot for pasta cravings.

Brandon G.

Yelp
I've never been to a restaurant where the cashier clicks on the tip button (adding a significant tip) before handing you the screen to sign. Beyond unethical and shocking for a counter service establishment. Buyer beware!

Ossip B.

Yelp
I'm not sure what they are thinking in this place. First of all the food is not that good! Second, the attitude you could do without! I guess some guy who acts like the owner has a real bad attitude there. They think this is fine dining but in actuality you're in some food court. I will never go back!

Donnie A.

Yelp
Not worth the price, the milanese and gnochhi were average.

Nabila Y.

Yelp
Amazing! I love this spot! I live by coral gables and I order from here via Uber eats and it's amazing!! I love everything I've tasted so far! I can never choose one dish so I always order 2-3!!! Obsessed with their Gorgonzola gnocchi !!!! ( would love if there was chopped walnuts but honestly it's great the way it is!! ) bucatini pomodora with pink sauce is great and cooked to perfection and always consistent!! Please make sure you get their tiramisu!!! Recommend fully!

Anna M.

Yelp
I took my Mom to get some pasta , we had a lobster tomatoe pasta and truffle pasta . Both were excellent and nicely presented . The wait time was pretty long as we waited about 40 minutes on sth that they can prepare in 15 and the whole market wasn't even busy .

Freddy M.

Yelp
Excesive time to serve pizza slices, even that the place was empty. Snob place with high prices.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This place is simply amazing!!! The owners are so accommodating as we asked for chicken Parmesan which is pictured in my post. The pasta is fresh and cooked to perfect. The Bolognese sauce is flavored perfectly while the meat is very tender. The pizza was cooked just the way we like it and again the bread is freshly made. The attention to quality and detail is like non other in Miami. It's safe to say this is the best Italian in Miami.

MR E.

Yelp
That vegan broccoli pasta they make is so good. Healthy but filling. Great flavor. Love that they have vegan options.

Michelle F.

Yelp
Delicious food delivered by a very beautiful delightful couple!! Thank you / yummy My husband had lobster special and I had the spinach ravioli Superb

SMariam C.

Yelp
Amazing! Don't doubt coming here! The truffle homemade fettuccini is the best dish. It's authentic fresh pasta, I felt in Italy. No Parmesan cheese needed. The octopus and shrimp salad and the cacio e Pepe are delicious as well! I order though Uber eats, very looking forward to visit the place.

Gen E.

Yelp
Absolute amazing and traditional Italian food. Don't listen to Josi F. If you check her profile she's used to dollar tacos (still leave negative reviews lol ) and never had fresh truffles in her life.

Jeffrey A.

Yelp
This is the best Italian food I've ever had. Very difficult to standout because everyone makes Italian but their ingredients and dishes just have some extra something; love. I really really love this place. Happy to find it.

Nicole M.

Yelp
The pasta here is outrageously good. Highly recommend the bucatini pomodoro which comes with the creamiest burrata. I also really enjoyed their antipasto platter that brought burrata, prosciutto, and bread. Highly recommend this place!

Vanessa T.

Yelp
I don't normally write reviews but this place is too good to not write one. The staff was incredibly friendly and got our food out in a timely manner. I ordered the Italian mushrooms fettuccine and my girlfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. The portions were perfect. The noodles were super creamy and soft , freshly made. The bread came straight out the oven and is so soft but still has a crunch to the outside. And the taste is impeccable. I would honestly give them a higher rating if I could.
