I am an African American woman who currently resides in Dallas but is not originally from Texas. One thing black people need to understand is this -
NO AFRICAN AMERICAN REACHES A POSITION OF PROMINENCE IN A PLACE AS BIGOTED AND RACIST AS DALLAS WITHOUT BEING COMPROMISED. WITHOUT SHOWING ONE FACE TO THE AFRICAN AMERICANS AND ANOTHER TO THE FOLKS WITH REAL POWER.. WHITE PEOPLE.
Faith Johnson, The Dallas County DA was compromised in my opinion. She talked a real good talk. But from the moment I first saw her and first heard her speak I knew what she was and that is a 'figurehead'. She would not do anything to disturb the status quo. She was put in the hot seat by Botham Jean's shooting and she had to try and triangle this situation. She had to passify large portions of black society who were angry as hell a beautiful brother was shot dead by a white woman in his own home minding his own business in Texas and she was ALLOWED TO WALK FREE. She didn't spend one day in jail initially.
And white society who could have cared less about Botham Jean or his killing. He's one less ni--- to worry about and let's be honest that's how these bigoted, uncultured, hateful, ignorant, most likely inbred white folks from Texas think. Many of them anyway.
It wouldn't have mattered if Botham Jean was Jesus himself, one look at his BLACK SKIN and they would lust for his murder.
So Faith Johnson had to try and pacify both groups.
Look at all the successful black men in Dallas. The minute they get two nickels to rub together they are chasing a white woman. Or a hispanic. Or an Asian. They get white washed real quick. They even start smelling funny. Thats how much they change.
