Google
I’ve been to a couple of other grilled cheese places and this is the best of them. The sandwich was crispy, gooey and delicious with some subtle flavors to add to the comfort food pleasure. The onion rings were some of the best around. Maybe more surprising is a slightly upscale vibe with a full bar and a pleasant space to sit and visit.

Audra Wicks

Google
First things first, their onion rings were the best I've ever had. I loved them so much I was nice enough to share them. The grilled cheeses were good but could've had more depth in chair considering the amazing ingredients they cleverly paired. Other than that, I left feeling satisfied and not grossly full. I'd really like to go back and give some of their other menu options a taste.

Google
The parmesan sandwich is decent. But the brisket is all grease and very little flavor. It definitely leaves a bad after-taste in your mouth. Couldn't finish eating it. I was really hoping for an elevated or upscale grilled cheese sandwich, but this one will count as a miss. Customer service is decent, and the alcoholic drinks were good. The grilled ppund cake was very dry even with the toppings. I gave it a try, but it's not worth coming back, though. The search for a great grilled cheese sandwich continues!

Google
Juan was an amazingly attentive bartender! Great drinks & a great way to spend our Valentine’s Day. The Be Mine Martini was excellent. We had the cheese fries and classic grilled cheese - all were great. First time here, and look forward to many more visits!

Google
First let me say I was so excited to try this place! I had a cattleman's grilled cheese the meat was barley there only in one spot and the amount of cheese was sad and it was very greasy (y'all should put the sauce on the grill cheese)BUT it was hot fries was good tho the highlight of my visit was ANGIE my server she was nice sweet and very patient! She DEFINITELY deserves a rise

Jordan Orozco

Google
The food here was so good. The grilled cheese was equally crispy and gooey. The side of fries was good but I didn't need to get them because just the sandwich was a lot of food.

Ashley Davis

Google
Visited w my sister on a weekday. We were seated immediately. Our server was very kind, food was served promptly. My grilled cheese was a 10/10 as well as my tomato soup. I Will definitely be back.

Google
The pimento cheese grilled cheese was amazing. The roll it was served on was perfectly toasted and soft at the same time. Don’t forget to get the cheese curds. The ranch sauce served with the fried cheese is something you’ll remember.

Yelp
Giving a 5 star review, because we simply didn't have any problems while eating here. I've ALWAYS wanted to try this place, because grilled cheese and tomato soup is my go-to comfort food. I ordered "The Favorite" grilled cheese and the "DGC Old World Tomato Basil" soup. My partner ordered the "Buffalo Chicken" grilled cheese and the "DGC Fries". The grilled cheese and basil soup were DELICIOUS. The soup was the perfect mixture of a little chunky to just "soupy" enough to drink a little here and there. My partner liked the buffalo grilled cheese, but tried mine and admitted he liked it more... but could just be a preference. I would definitely recommend the Favorite and Tomato Basil soup combo, though! They're both considered * House Favorites * on the menu. The DGC Fries were a perfect mixture of both crispy and a little squishy, which I love. AND, they're sprinkled with an Old Bay seasoning. SO GOOD! We also ordered the "Peticolas Velvet Hammer" from the drink menu. It's a red ale with caramel, brown sugar & floral hops. Very good! This store location is smaller than I thought, but pretty roomy, and the service was very quick and our waiter was friendly and refilled our drinks often. The prices were also pretty cheap! It was a good sandwich, and was about $12. The soup was $5, and you get a lot for that price. The fries were $3. I'm looking forward to going back and trying more sandwiches! I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for a late night snack after a night out at a bar nearby. I had the mac n' cheese and brisket grilled cheese. It was pretty tasty but very messy. I would have liked if the mac and cheese was a bit more creamy, it started to get a little dry with the noodles and bread. But the brisket was very good. Not a bad spot if your looking for gourmet grilled cheese. They have tons of options!

Kayla S.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Good vibes. Food: I had the buffalo chicken & it was pretty good. Definitely had flavor & was very filling. Their fries are delicious, too! Drinks I had them make me a Paloma but I also got another drink that was delicious - wish I remembered the name! They have deals where certain drinks are cheaper which was great. Service: our waitress was good. Moderately attentive & nice. The bartender was a sweet sweet soul & made such good drinks! His conversation & personality solidified my experience. Vibes (ambiance): very casual & laid back. Kid friendly but not overbearing. Mild noise. Overall very chill.

Brenda B.

Yelp
Went here for lunch around 12:30p, and I was promptly seated. My server was Kim, she was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich with Sweet Potato fries. The sandwich was delicious, very flavorful and the bread was well toasted. The only negative was that the meat was not evenly distributed, had a big piece of sandwich with no filling. The sweet potato fries were AMAZING, the best sweet potato fries I've had, they were fresh and had a great crunch. I will be back for happy hour

Yelp
O my gosh! I love this spot! I never knew I needed an entire restaurant dedicated to grilled cheese, but I am now complete for rainy days and comfort food in Dallas. My girls are super picky, and they LOVE their grilled cheese and I am obsessed with the cattleman's bbq. We stopped in after the spa for some comfort food, and the space was beautiful as we normally order it was our first time in. Our service was great, the mimosa was solid and food was amazing as always. Definitely stop in if you need some comfort food!

Aja-Monee' F.

Yelp
I got the tuna melt with the tomato soup. The sandwich was amazing it was a 4.5/5. The sandwich had circle tomatoes which were not cut small enough for consumption. The flavor was amazing though. The soup was so good too. I'd give it a 4.2 I wish it had more seasoning but I was craving tomato soup so it was so good. The vibes in there was like a bar cozy vibe. A lot of people were coming in and out so it seems pretty popular. The service was mid. The server was texting while taking our order it was very awkward but still a good experience

Izzie P.

Yelp
Juan was an amazing bartender and server... AMAZING! Sat at the bar and he was super sweet and gave good insight of the menu. Seemed like he served more tables than some of the other servers while still bartending and answer the phone. All around one of the best servers I've ever had. The food was super yummy as well! Fried green beans are a must order, and the soup would be a lot better with a grill cheese (even thought I didn't order one). Quiet lowkey place on a Sunday night, and this would be a great spot if they did trivia nights! All around great visit and would recommend.

India F.

Yelp
I never thought I would rave on a grilled cheese! I tried the ham and Brie which is something I normally wouldn't get but it was SOOO good! Also it's true, these sweet potatoes fries are perfection. The place is great, in a nice shopping center, kinda cozy inside. The service could be better.

Candyce V.

Yelp
This place pretty much had me at their bread + cheese combo so I knew it had to be a winner! Oh, and there are fries too, so that's my food weakness trifecta. Add on a full bar, and I'm a happy camper! The food was pretty good--I liked the different sandwich options. I went for the Bacon Chicken Ranch. Hubs got the Brie & Bacon. My salad was a bit sad (yes, I do like healthy food options as well as the carbs) so I wished for more there. But all in all, this is a solid spot!

Diana E.

Yelp
First time trying this place after wanting to for a while. I"ll say the soups are good and flavorful. We went for the fajita grilled cheese to get some protein. I would definitely try one without the chicken next time because the fajita was not the best but the grilled cheese itself was good. Nice place to check out on a gloomy chilly day.

Candi C.

Yelp
My kids enjoyed their food. Our server was a gem he was the only one working on several sections. The service is ok. The ambiance in the establishment isn't very active. Don't think I'll be a returning customer.

Tina A.

Yelp
The food is out of this world. Service was excellent and we loved our food it was on point , it was made fresh and also had great taste to it. We will be back here to eat. Absolutely loved the place and people there.

Anastasiya T.

Yelp
Quick service, affordable delicious comfort food, clean inside. A lot of options of grilled cheese sandwiches. French fries delicious!

Charnae D.

Yelp
This place is amazing! My husband loves grilled cheese sandwiches so he chose this restaurant for his birthday. We're so glad we did. The service was great and the GM Michael is so kind and personable. The food was really delicious. We ordered the Cobb salad which was HUGE and it came with fried grilled cheese croutons We also had a classic grilled cheese with the best combo of cheeses and the finest bread and an order of grilled cheese sticks. We even had the most delicious dessert trio! I also love the ambiance and the area of this location because it has some of my favorite stores nearby. I will definitely return.

Yelp
I was encouraged by the photos. I walked and ordered for carry out. I couldn't figure out a website to order. They offer all the delivery services though. I ordered the Cattleman's Grilled Cheese. Brisket and cheese. Definitely tasty but could have used MORE brisket and MORE cheese. Mostly bread. Bummer. I also ordered the Parmesan fries. These could have been crispier. Just normal to me. I've had so much better. It was semi-busy inside. A bunch of people at the bar. They really only had soft drinks from a fountain for carry out. No bottled beverages. It was a miss for me. Maybe next time try the salads and soups??

Denisse C.

Yelp
I got the brisket grilled cheese. They were a little stingy on the meat and the BBQ sauce had a strong chili powder and pepper flavor. Overall it was satisfying but definitely not what I remember this place being. The pink drink was delicious though. I sat at the bar and food came out pretty quickly. Several people checked on me that was nice. It was quiet for a mid day lunch.

Mike O.

Yelp
This was our fourth time here and likely our last, at least for quite awhile. Our server was very unfriendly and kind of ditzy. She was also the bartender so maybe she was overwhelmed. If so, she should either serve or bartend. The food was very salty. I had the cheeseburger and it tasted like someone poured a bunch of salt on it. The chips were so salty, they were inedible. We typically enjoy eating here, but this was a very disappointing experience from beginning to end.

Rhonda B.

Yelp
For the record, I didn't order any grilled cheese. But i was greeted quickly, kindly- sat at the bar and had the tomato soup, bruschetta & the seasoned fries. All were yummy and I would order each again.

Olga K.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a quick lunch on the way home. I enjoyed the Cattleman's Grilled Cheese on gluten free bread. It was exactly what was needed after a long hike. I love that they have the option of gluten free bread. I did find the grilled cheese to be a little dry but that was expected due to the type of bread it would definitely taste much better on non gluten free bread but I wasn't willing to deal with the side effects that day. Great menu selection made it hard to decide but gives me a reason to come back. Will be trying the Cubanesque next time.

Yelp
Went to the mockingbird station location yesterday with some friends for happy hour. The restaurant was almost empty - only one other table of patrons. Our server was so unwelcoming when we arrived, we felt like we were disturbing her and considered leaving and going elsewhere. Although they have a happy hour, they have no happy hour menu (paper menu or online). When we asked for a happy hour menu, our unwelcoming server simply pointed us to a QR code which also does not have a happy hour menu on it. We were told it is the General Manager's job to update the menu. We would have been ok with that if our server proactively told us that and then verbally told us the happy hour specials, but she did not. The times listed online for happy hour are 3-7pm, but found out it's actually 3-6pm. However, they honored happy hour prices until 7pm. Ultimately, mainly the bartender served us, and he was more knowledgeable and friendly than our server. We received good service, and our drinks and food were good. However, overall, this was not a good experience. Would not recommend.

Brandon G.

Yelp
I had brie and bacon, my wife had different sandwich. Bread was so hard couldn't hardly eat it. We both searched intently for any cheese in either sandwich but found none. Bacon lollipops is just wadded up strips crammed onto a stick with pineapple chunks on the side with syrup. I don't get it, who likes this? How can you have "Grilled Cheese" in the company name? Very dissapointed.

Elisa M.

Yelp
Went back to DGCO and this is what I had expected on my previous visit! This visit we ordered something that wasn't on the menu but is one of my favorites, the grilled cheese stickers and tomato soup for dipping, so I asked Ray if they still make it and he assured me that they do. (Insert happy dance!) - we also went with the pretzel mozzarella balls to start with. We also ordered drinks which hit the spot! Our food came to the table all together, the food was hot, and everything looked great. However what was even better is that it TASTED GREAT!!! Then Ray suggested dessert and because at this point we were gluttons and had enjoyed everything placed in front of us, we thought sure, suggests something! He came with the Elvis - a banana, peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich . . . Talk about divine! The only thing that would take this over the top would be a little ice cream because if you have come this far, why stop now?? Overall this was a great meal, a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try my next grilled cheese - cause this isn't your moms grilled cheese, it's a grown up twist to a childhood favorite!

Erica S.

Yelp
I ABSOFRIGGINLUTELY Love a grilled or fried PB&J sammich! Yes, I said sammich! My wife picked up lunch for us and a friend. Knowing I have an inability to pass up on a grilled PB&J, she ordered this for me. I was soooooo excited. Then immediately disappointed when I opened the container. The menu does advertise this sandwich as being made on extra thick Texas Toast. It is definitely made with extra thick Texas Toast. Mad overkill....I couldn't fit it in my mouth without squishing it. I didn't like the amount of bread. No points off, simply my preference. What I did not like about the sandwich was their in house made peanut butter. Homemade peanut butter is always a nice treat and I was intrigued to try theirs! As it is supposed to be made with cream cheese. Sounds like a dream, right? Wrong.... The peanut butter was dry, and crumbly. Butter - it is in the name. Any type of butter has a smooth (even when chunky or crunchy) and creamy texture. This peanut butter needs a major overhaul. Would not order this again. Reading reviews after trying my sandwich, doesn't seem to be a one off for the grilled PB&J. The other two sandwiches brought home were the Cattleman's and Rustic. These two were big winners! Delicious and worthy of ordering again!! Try either and let yourself do that little wiggle when the first bite is delicious!!!

Kate C.

Yelp
Seriously so good. They have fancy grilled cheese and traditional grilled cheese. My 4 year old loved it and the staff was very sweet to him and put us at a nice table for wiggly kids

Gunnar B.

Yelp
As my wife has previously stated in her review, we went right at opening a few weeks ago. She ordered her usual of the Jalapeño Popper Sandwich which admittedly is always good. However, I tried something different and went with the Brisket grilled cheese. I thought it tasted off from the beginning, but everyone has different barbecue sauces so I chalked it up to that. A few hours after eating here I began to experience severe stomach cramps and general stomach pain. I realized I likely had food poisoning and the only thing I had eaten that day was the brisket grilled cheese. I believe the brisket used was from the day before, or was old meat that was used that caused it. Obviously I don't know what the prep work looked like in the kitchen, but it was incredibly disappointing that we feel like we can no longer trust one of our favorite sandwich places.

Nicole H.

Yelp
I was super excited to bring my grandparents here when they were visiting from out of town earlier this month, but unfortunately, no one came to seat us after standing inside the entrance for 10 minutes (despite the sign that asks guests to wait to be seated). After 10 minutes, my grandpa asked one of the servers if we could get a table. She didn't even speak to him or apologize -- she simply grabbed the menus and placed them on a table without so much as a hello. After sitting at the table for nearly 10 more minutes and both waiters looking at us without so much as a greeting, we got up and left. While there were a few other people eating, it wasn't busy enough to justify such poor service. We won't be back. Super bummed with this bad experience.

Courtney B.

Yelp
This place is cute and is definitely nailing the niche of grilled cheese and all things related. They do offer a happy hour but I will say if you have tastes outside of basic beer or liquors don't be surprised options are limited. It's not the main focus. It was a party of 3, my son, grandma and myself around a 4p early dinner due to an event later. DeeDee was our server and she was very friendly and super fun. My son got a Texas cheeseburger, my grandma got the potato soup and half salad. I got the cattleman's grilled cheese that came w brisket. They have several dressings or sauces to choose from, all of it was tasty. The honey mustard was the table favorite, had a nice sweet heat kick to it. Very tangy and my son by the end was dipping his burger into it. We also splurged for dessert and my son got the caramel sea salt milkshake and I got the bread pudding. Some negatives overall but are minor was the potatoes were under done in the soup, still hard to chew and not soft like usual. The bread pudding had delicious flavor but it was served cold, would've preferred it warmed.

Cathy S.

Yelp
I loved this place... an upscale grilled cheese amazing. The tomato soup one of the best I have had.

Rebecka Z.

Yelp
My husband and I went out to Oak Highlands Brewery on a Sunday afternoon to enjoy a couple of beers on their patio and much to our delight, the Dallas Grilled Cheese Co food truck was out there that day. We both ended up getting The Rustic grilled cheese sandwich which had three or four different cheeses, an order of fries and there cheese sauce for dipping. The grilled cheese is absolutely legit, the bread that they use was grilled to absolute perfection, so crunchy and delicious and the cheese of course was completely melty and gooey. Everything that you absolutely want in a grilled cheese sandwich, this is it!! The fries were really good but I wasn't totally crazy about the cheese sauce that we got for it, it was much more of a cheese gravy with Italian seasoning. It wasn't bad at all but I would definitely rate it three and a half out of five stars but everything else we got was absolute perfection.

Abbey W.

Yelp
This would have been a 5/5 star review, the food was great! The service was TERRIBLE. when we entered the restaurant we were not even greeted. The waitress/host just pointed at the table for our group to sit, which normally wouldn't be a problem. We are a pretty chill group of friends! She came back over and she didn't introduce herself and it was a burden for us to order or ask questions about the menu. Our waters were sitting in an eyes distance next to the POS system for a long time. Mind you there was only 4 other people in the entire building. She was extremely rude and constantly treated us like this throughout the entire service. Now, the food was FIRE. We got the wings, mozz balls, tons of grilled cheeses and it was delicious. Unfortunately the only time we will be eating here is if do a to-go order.

Robert G.

Yelp
Very disappointing - how a grilled cheese could be so average is beyond me. Service was solid - no complaints there. And the price was reasonable - so another star for that. Otherwise, a very average meal. I ordered the upgraded grilled cheese / tomato soup combo. The sandwich had very little cheese. It reminded me of two pieces of dried toast with a Kraft single in the middle. Very little flavor, extremely dry and crunchy. Thankfully, the tomato soup helped. We also tried the PB&J. Jelly was only on one half of the sandwich. The other half had this really funky peanut butter. Somehow it was both dry and oily at the same time. Similar to raw cookie dough but oily on the outside. I don't know if the peanut butter had expired or if it was just a really bad ingredient choice but either way, it was inedible. No chance we will be returning. There are too many great restaurants in Dallas to settle on an average dining experience.

Karen 2.

Yelp
i'd recommend stopping by here. had a great meal i really enjoyed the french onion soup value combo with the grilled cheese it's convenient and a good deal and my waitress had a fantastic attitude along with stellar service. 4.5 rounding to 5.

Hannah S.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try out this place for a while now. However, my expectations were set too high from reading all the good reviews. Our server wasn't friendly at all. I walked in and got super bad vibes and throughout the entire service she wasn't welcoming. The food was very greasy and made me sick after each bite. The grilled cheese tasted of chemicals and the "tomato soup" was so watery and tasted like watered down vodka sauce (yes, the pasta sauce) I was hoping to find a new grilled cheese spot- but I'll be sticking with Panera for now.

J. M.

Yelp
My son and I tried this place for the first time today. He got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and I got the cubanesque. Both were pretty tasty. We also got the pretzel cheese balls (can't remember the exact name) and the DGC wings; both were tasty. Our waitress was nice and the environment was cool too. Giving 4 starts because it wasn't 5 start level but it was good. I'll definitely come back.

Demetra C.

Yelp
It was a new experience for me and I enjoyed it. I had the grilled cheese with mac and cheese in it. The flavor was good and it was a really large portion. I need to try a few more to give an in-depth review but for my first experience, it wasn't bad.

Leticia P.

Yelp
A go to favorite. Delicious food and nice waiters. A place to meet up with my girls!

Ash C.

Yelp
After terrible service at a nearby restaurant, we are SO glad we tried Dallas Grilled Cheese Co! Everything looked clean and we were surprised to see they had a bar. The servers were nice, helpful, and very attentive. The food was great, too! Husband loved his wings and I really enjoyed my "dude". We will definitely be back soon!

Katy L.

Yelp
Friendly, helpful staff and great food - the jalapeño popper grilled cheese is a must have.

Tammie J.

Yelp
The service here is horrible!!! They seriously have the worst attitude I've ever seen in a food establishment. From the hostess, server and bartender. Food was trash!! You're wasting your time if you visit this place. I'm so disgusted!!

R G.

Yelp
I'm going to start off by saying the food was good. But the real stars of this place are the drinks. Wow. I've only been in Dallas for two weeks. I've tried plenty of espresso martinis in this city but haven't found one I liked until now. Wow. One of their bartenders, Juan, makes such an amazing espresso martini. Also, I appreciate them having a holiday drink menu. "The Grinch" almost got my heart to grow three sizes haha.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
AMAZING food. They seemed understaffed so the service was not great and had to wait a while just to get a bill.

Havah S.

Yelp
We went in here on a whim because we were already out shopping but honestly I would come here even if it wasn't "close." The quality of everything we tried was super good. The cheesy fries literally had cheese on every single fry and were the best fries I had in quite some time. The French onion soup was a tad salty for my taste and the onions were thicker than traditionally the norm, which I didn't quite like. But I still ate the whole bowl. And honestly I would go again and again. While I can make a pretty mean grilled cheese these were 12-10 --super fabulous sandwiches with great service. Definitely worth a visit.

Kyle D.

Yelp
I was a little hesitant to eat here because I've eaten at other grilled cheese focused restaurants and never thought the food was worth the cost. But that's not what happened this time! They have more options than just grilled cheeses including burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. But everything here is appropriately priced and tastes super fresh. The sweet tea especially tasted great, like it was just made. Our sandwiches and soup were delicious too. Finally, the service and restaurant were great. Honestly, no complaints and a lot of compliments. I would definitely recommend as a good lunch spot or dinner spot if you don't want to leave stuffed.

Asia W.

Yelp
This is my second time giving this chain a shot. The first was at the Bishop Arts location and second at Mockingbird. They just need to rename this place crappy sandwiches. Sooo this last time I ordered whatever Rustic "grilled cheese" with bacon and tomatoes. Also, fyi it doesn't come with fries or chips or any other side. I know it doesn't say out doors but in case you were hoping, it doesn't. My sandwich had 3 types of cheeses: Gouda, Muenster, and Cheddar. Anyone that likes melted cheese knows that Gouda doesn't easy melt and for some reason they put the Gouda in the middle. So I'm eating barely warmed, not melted cheese. They plopped the slices of bacon right in the center and a little slice of tomato with the skin still on it. It just wasn't an appetizing meal. I won't be eating any more of their sandwiches. Maybe I'll have better look with their starters the next time I'm having a craving and can't find a chick fil a.

Michael K.

Yelp
Juan was an incredible Bartender. I had just gotten off of work at a nearby hospital, and after telling many people how to do their own jobs all day all I wanted was a good meal and some fantastic drinks. Juan did such an amazing job at not only recommending great drinks but also carrying out making each with a professional, perfunctory manner and impeccable delivery. He went above and beyond in every facet of his job and I will be hoping he is bartending every time I'm there. Ask for this guy!!! Whoever hired him has great hiring skills!!

J L.

Yelp
We sat waiting for a server for over 15 mins - nobody ever came to get our order. We wound up leaving. Severely understaffed.

Ethan S.

Yelp
Amazing grilled cheese. Satisfies my inner child and has crazy combos to suit any food palate.

Ray S.

Yelp
Dallas Grilled Cheese Co Is Not Just A Meal It's An Unforgettable Experience The Food = Incredibly Delicious And Their Customer Service Excellent.

konnar h.

Yelp
This spot has potential. Food is good, and drinks are surprisingly good as well- ask the bartender for that you want. I will be coming back.

Keith F.

Yelp
Small venue indoors with a great atmosphere, and outdoor seating as well. Our last visit they were short staffed but still quick with service and order came out timely. The sandwiches are the star of the show here. There are ample options to choose from and all are delicious. The Buffalo chicken sandwich, pretzel coated cheese bite appetizer, and tomato bisque soup Can't go wrong with toasted sourdough. Soup is great to dip your sandwich in. Fries are seasoned well with parmesan and old bay seasoning, and really shine when dipped in the house made ranch. A menu hack I would recommend would be the the dude sloppy Joe sandwich and add mac n cheese inside the sandwich. The desert menu is also incredible. Great spot for a work day lunch with your favorite coworker or date.
