Dallas Love Field

Modern facility, nice staff at the shops and restaurants, very clean restrooms , quick service to car rentals and quick return and shuttle to and from the airport,very efficient baggage claim. My departure from DAL, was even more pleasant as getting through Ticketing and TSA was quick and staff at both Delta and TSA were very friendly.

I've travelled in and out of Dallas Love Field countless times whenever I take a Southwest flight to the DFW area. The airport is clean, has lots of restrooms and is easy to navigate. There's even a Chick-fil-A that is always closed because somehow I exclusively fly in or out on Sundays it seems. The one drawback as a Celiac is that I try to eat before I fly out of here because safe options are difficult to find here. There are plenty of shops and security is easy to get through. I was flying out of Dallas using Southwest airlines and this is a great airport. I got dropped off when using the route 5 bus and the curbside main entrance to the terminal building is tiny. But when I got inside, it was not busy and I got through security in about 5 minutes. And due to the small size, the airport is very easy to navigate. Even though it's kind of small compared to DFW, there are still some good places to eat inside. Overall this is a great airport.

Easy to get in and out. Bags came super quick. Clean bathrooms and airport. Plenty of great food options as well. Great hub for southwest flights.

There are roughly 50,000 people moving through this airport every day and the men’s restroom has 8 stalls… 8 stalls!!! You can forget about ever finding one available. There is consistently a line out the door, which suggests the airport is clearly not up to code for the volume it handles. This should be a crime. On top of that, the restrooms are extremely dirty. The store selection is minimal and underwhelming, and the staff is generally rude and unhelpful. Overall, this is easily one of the worst airports in the country and a frustrating experience every single time.

I flew off from Dallas thru southwest airlines. Everything went very smooth and southwest airlines staffs were very efficient in moving the crowd. This airport gets very crowded during weekends and holidays since the area is very smaller than the DFW.

Currently here on a layover delay. The airport itself is nice, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of restaurants—there’s no shortage of places to grab a bite. It is a bit crowded right now due to delays, and the interior layout can feel a little tight when it gets busy, but overall it’s a solid and comfortable airport to be stuck in.

Dallas Love Field is honestly one of the better airports I’ve flown out of, but it’s not perfect, so four stars feels right. The biggest plus is how easy it is to get in and out compared to DFW. Security usually moves pretty fast, and I’ve never felt totally overwhelmed here, even during busier travel days. It’s smaller, which I actually like, because you don’t have to walk a mile just to find your gate. The airport is clean and modern, and most of the staff I’ve interacted with were friendly and helpful. There are decent food options too, especially for a smaller airport. You can grab a coffee, a quick bite, or sit down if you’ve got time to kill. Seating is usually ok, though it can get tight when multiple flights are boarding at once. That said, it can feel a little cramped during peak hours. Some gate areas get packed fast, and finding a quiet spot isn’t always easy. Parking can also be a pain sometimes, especially if you’re running late or during holidays. Prices aren’t great either, but that’s kind of expected. Overall, Love Field is convenient, efficient, and way less stressful than a lot of big airports. If they fixed the crowding issues and parking situation a bit, it’d easily be five stars. Still a solid airport and I don’t mind flying out of here at all.

Thanks to Southwest, this is the first time I've flown through this airport, and I love it. Close to downtown, One terminal and 20 gates, compared to DFW's 175 gates spread out over five terminals? *FUGEDDABOUDIT!* The airport is bright and clean, everyone is friendly, and it is very easy to navigate. You can easily walk from one end to the other in just a few minutes. There is lots of shopping, bars, and restaurants ranging from fast food to sit down. I highly recommend Cantina Laredo. Great food, and decent prices even though it is an airport restaurant. I have to fly Southwest more often, so I can fly through here again. Thank you.

Love Field is a great alternative to the massive & crowded DFW airport. While a major airport for airlines like Dallas & Southwest as well as international flights, the airport has a nice, small regional airport feel to it. In the morning hours TSA checkpoints are short and quick. If you have a family, the agents will also often let you go through the precheck line just to save you from having to pull your kids along the winding line. Little things like that won't happen at larger airports. Once you're through security, the terminals are clean and inviting. Fellow travelers, while walking with a purpose, aren't rushing through giving the atmosphere a nice laid back feel to it. There are also plenty of food options to satisfy any craving you might have while waiting for a flight (or just departing from one). Bags also come out quickly so if you're in a rush to get out of the airport, they'll help you out with that as well. I will say that most of the car rental centers are off site so even to just check in for a car you will have to ride a shuttle. But thankfully they're not too far away so it shouldn't take too long to get to that part of your journey. In all, I was very impressed with Dallas Love Field. I've only ever flown through Fort Worth but after this experience, I think I'm going to make Love my go to Dallas airport.

I've always had a positive experience during my connection flights at the Dallas Love Field Airport. The airport itself was always clean, the restrooms were well managed and stocked, and the food options never disappointed. Baggage checks were always quick and plane boardings were always efficient.

I can't remember if I have flown through this airport just once or twice but on my recent trip to California, I had a layover at this airport. The area of the airport I was in had a good number of restaurants and shops. I didn't have to walk far from the gate I landed at to the gate of my connecting flight. The restaurant choices were good. I found what I needed to help me get through the airport as I had missed my connecting flight.

This is a pretty good airport. I am here on a four hour layover. The southwest section has lots of places to shop and choose to eat at. Everything is very clean, which is a bonus.

I love to fly through Love Field Dallas on my way home to El Paso! This is one of my favorite local airports that offers plenty of shopping and clean bathrooms. Alaska Airlines, Delta, and Southwest Airlines operate from Dallas Love Field. Alaska operates from Gates 11 and 13, Southwest operates at Gates 1-10, 12, and 14-20, while Delta operates from Gate 15. So the fact that it is only Southwest airline is a misconception.

Had a smooth layover here--plenty of food options and space to sit/plug in electronics at their food courts. Had no issues with flights coming in/outgoing, and luggage followed us as it was supposed to.

Love field is convent to get through, lots of food selections, plenty of bathrooms & easy to navigate!

From start to finish after Landing the employees at the airport were exceptional at their jobs! Made it very easy and convenient for my Mom and Me to get through all the foot traffic and chaos at the airport!! Thank you!!

Alerting all history buffs flying through DAL. So this airport is simply average to me (just personally nothing too notable from my perspective compared to other airports in the US), but I am bumping it up to a 4 star on Yelp due to the commemorative plaque and information about Lyndon B Johnson's (JBJ) swearing in the Presidential Oath of Office on the tarmac of this airport in 1963 that is featured on Love Landing inside the airport. Across fromTSA, before you actually go thru TSA, there is an escalator, take it up to the second floor and take a U-Turn and you will see the overhead signage for "Love Landing." Follow along straight ahead to the windows and right next to the lounge, you will see the historic plaque. It is almost to say that the LBJ plaque is above the main TSA check point. The plaque tells the moment in time of what occurred at this airport on that fateful day. You can also then look out the window and see the light out of the tarmac that denotes the actual location of the plane when LBJ was sworn in. How cool! I guess up until recently, there was only a marker out on the tarmac showing this spot, so it was only the airline ground crews that were fully aware. But they then changed the marker to a light and now from this window you and read all about it and see the spot clearly. How cool! For a history buff like myself, this little thing and the tasteful, quiet manner in which this historical moment is marked here, I found to be like a hidden gem. I am certain 95% of people who go through DAL don't reflect on this event in our nations history nor even know that this marker is here. And the bar that is located right next to this window/plaque of LBJ is kind of a hidden gem in itself. It is void of people, one would have to know that it is there and it was a great spot to kick back a cocktail and reflect on history before flight time. No other airport in the US has something like this, so DAL is a 4 star Yelp airport in my book for this unique factor alone.

DAL - what's not to Love (Field)? Fast in and out of the airport and close to everything Dallas. Clean, quick and convenient - you'll Love it too!

4.5 Stars; will round down from the minor inconvenience. I don't quite often fly into Dallas via DAL vs DFW, but fate had brought me here four times this past holiday. Note that the only airline here is Southwest, so that may be a good or bad thing. It's great when all the flights are spread out and not 90-100% full, which is about when I flew in. I can only imagine what the Thanksgiving / Christmas lines may be like at peak travel hours... I had no issues with security each time and never had a line. The only thing to note is that if you're flying into Dallas Love Field and need a ride share (Lyft, Uber, etc.) note that it's a very LONG walk to Zone 2-3 in Garage B from the gates. The food options are pretty diverse. Can't say too much about parking or rental cars since I didn't do that yet. But after paying a fortune to get out of the airport, a rental car may very well be worth it if you have the time to pick one up and drop it back off.

Dallas Love field is amazing. Clean and well organized. Alot of great restaurants. Food. Thank you to all employees great job.

FYI. . .if you need to catch an Uber, you will have to walk AAALLLLL the way down the skybridge to catch it. Ok, now that we've got that out of the way, this airport is so small but so clean and has some really cool features. I flew into Dallas once before but was so mad that my flight was cancelled that I didn't pay attention to anything on my way out to get a hotel. I appreciate the smaller airports! Like i said, its clean and it has some really good food options.

LOOKS OKAY ! Our Sept 18th flight from LaGuardia Airport, NY to John Wayne Airport, CA included a short layover here. A fellow passenger...a Dallas native called it the little airport. I guess he meant it was the little brother to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It certainly looked bigger than John Wayne Airport to us. After landing at around 3.30pm we headed straight to our departure gate...everything looked nice and clean along the way. NOT MUCH TO TELL ! I bought a bottle of natural spring water at D Magazine News. At this point we couldn't wait to be home in California ! NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !

Good airport, nice traffic flow for travelers. I'm not sure I would want to fly through this airport on a major holiday. I'm sure the over abundance of travelers would be a change to the feeling of the airport. That said, it was a good airport to fly into and out of. Nice and clean, plenty of places to eat if needed.

Bizarre part has gotten worse over the years in my opinion. Admittedly I have mostly stopped flying into and out of it for my own reasons, but what I absolutely cannot stand is when I am picking people up or dropping off at this Airport and the guys outside are always screaming at people to move the cars along. I understand did not wanting people to park and hang around waiting for people. And, the number of times I have gotten yelled at while I am literally in the process of loading or unloading, or when the person I am picking up is within line of sight, is ridiculous. It makes the whole process of being at that airport inherently stressful, even if the rest of the experiences technically acceptable. I just cannot think of that many situations where an establishment hires people to literally yell at customers who are trying to go about their business.

I personally like DAL - it's smaller than DFW, the Pre-Check TSA lines are short or no line at all, and easy to find your gate, food, and drinks. This has been my third time at this airport and it's been so easy. They have a Maggiano's in the airport! I was pleasantly surprised and curious! If I remember, I'll have to try it one day!

Even though this airport is supposed to be one of the busiest airport in USA, still very chill and stress free than LAX. Best of all there a lot of good restaurants in this airport. Bigger and spacious too. TSA agents are somehow friendlier and the security line goes by quicker.

Fire alarms went off during visit and I feel like a lot of people missed their flights. My flight was delayed another 4 hours so didn't even effect me. No lounges in DAL, and why I would give it lower ranking. This is clearly a southwest airport so I guess that's why. It is a small airport and east to navigate, have some decent places to sit. Probably better to fly into then out of incase of flight cancellations or delays if you are at DFW you can get another flight. If flying out of DAL with another airline other then Southwest you might get some problems.

Relatively smaller airport. They have a spot where they play music good variety of shops and the best part the bathrooms offer FREE menstrual products for women in the bathroom. First I have ever seen it free I usually see it for 75 cents to a $1. Only spent about 1 hr at the airport for a layover. But if I ever go back to Texas I'll come back to this airport.

I've picked up and dropped off relatives at DAL in the past couple of months. It's farther for me to travel to vs DFW but the flight cost savings for the traveler makes it worth it. It can be a bit congested at the drop-off and pickup points outside the doors of the airport. If one exists, I haven't found a staging area where I can wait for a call from my party to head to a specific door for pickup. I have not personally flown in or out of DAL but wouldn't hesitate to if the flight economics were right.

My first time at Dallas Love, I thought, what a weird airport. But it's small and efficient, with a large selection of eateries, and even a USO. I flew in from Colorado Springs, which has nothing to offer. This spot has Moe's, Whataburger, Starbucks (2 I believe), Dunkin and more!

Nice well run airport compared to the slum airport we came from (STL). About the same size airports too.

This airport is small - only a handful of airlines. The airport always appears clean & organized. People who work here are friendly & helpful.

Dallas Love Field home to Southwest Airlines is one of the two airports in Dallas Fort Worth serving the area with flights to and from DFW! This is my go-to airport when flying to and from DFW since I always fly Southwest. This airport strictly only Flys Southwest, so chances are if you are flying out from Dallas, this is your airport. Please don't make the mistake and arrive at DFW airport because Southwest Flys from Love field. The airport has plenty of garage style parking and is easily accessible to enter. If you do not have a toll tag on your car, you can print a ticket and pay as you exit the airport. Therefore, if your car is equipped with a toll tag, then you can simply just pull up to the garage, and the gate will open. The airport has arrival, departures, and parking signs throughout the airport to easily navigate for the first time travelers coming to this airport. Near at hand is a ride share pickup and drop-off location as well. The airport is very clean inside and resembles a shopping mall in my perspectives. Nearby is a small food court inside as well as souvenir places to buy merchandise for family and friends. Inside, they have multiple restrooms onsite, and there are a couple of bars inside to have an alcoholic beverage. The security does a great job throughout the airport, making sure it's a safe place for travelers. The lines are long passing through TSA, but they usually do a great job getting people in and out as fast as they can. The baggage claim area is easy and convenient when picking up your luggage. There are flight arrivals and departure screens posted in clear site to easily track your flight and bag claim carousel. I enjoy coming to this airport and flying Southwest due to the low fares and 2 free checked bags with every flight ticket. The staff does a great job in keeping the airport safe and the airport traffic flowing as smoothly as possible. As a reminder, you can always check your flights on the Dallas Love Field website, and as always, please arrive 2 hours before your flight. Safe traveling!

Here for a long, unplanned layover, took a lap around and there are lots of bars, restaurants, shops, so you will at least be able to get some food in you while here. My biggest complaint is with all these food options - the whole place smells like food and there is a disgusting amount of food scraps/crumbs/etc on the ground. If you are gonna spend to get a lounge pass I'd imagine this is an airport that it's worth it - sitting in gen pop is pretty unpleasant.

Average city airport. Their uber pickup is reeeaaaaally far away, you have to get out of the terminal, cross the street, then go up the elevator to a very long enclosed hallway with some people movers. Then come down at the end.

Loved this airport for back n forth travel to SW destinations. they used to have ride share app services at curb and now it is moved .5 miles away inside the parking structure. Though it is more manageable now it is a bit of a walk with family! Also wife happened to use the nursing room. It was bit in disarray but she got the space to sit which was important for that time. We would love to see more of nursing pods like many other airports have at various terminals. Love the chili's and Starbucks here. Go to place to pick up salads.

We had a layover at Love Field. I've been through DFW many, many times. We also live in Chicago and our primary airport is O'Hare. We're used to large, overwhelming airports. Going through Dallas Love Field was a "breath of fresh air." It's small enough to get from gate to gate quickly and easily. It was clean and there was still plenty to see and do while we waited for our flight.

I enjoyed my brief layover at this Southwest Hub in the Big D. They got clean bathrooms and everything you need is not more than a couple of steps away. Their food court was fast foody, and I was able to decide on a Moe's Homewrecker burrito. I could have chosen a BBQ sandwich from Dickey's or a ChikFil-A sandwich... but they also have your sit down locations like Chili's, Cantina Laredo and Cru Wine Bar. I certainly didn't feel like it was crowded, and there was plenty of seating everywhere. I did not see anybody sitting on the ground scrambling for plugs to recharge their phones or devices. A plus that the the plug in seats were plugged into the ground and pumping out power. The team at Moe's was super friendly, balancing the right amount of sass with good customer service that I could deal with during a quick layover. The board staff were nice and efficient. The bathrooms were clean, and the decoration was modern. I was really comfortable... it's on my list now, and should be on yours. Don't be afraid to land here.

Flew in and out for a conference. The good is that the security screening process runs very smoothly. They have plenty of lanes open to help you get through quickly. There are a lot of food options inside as well. They have fast food as well as some sit down dinning available. The not so good is the bathrooms are rather small and not maintained adequately. I went to three different ones and there were long lines at each. They were not particularly clean either. There isn't adequate seating at the gates. It's a smaller airport in a y shape with a lot of gates close together. There was also a long wait at baggage claim when I arrived. Overall not the best airport I have been to but not the worst.

Staff was friendly and helpful from the time I got dropped off by my lift to the time I got to the gate and checked in. They helped with directions on where to go and rec kind doing it.

I do not like the new ride share pick up location. You have to walk a mile through garage A, through three sets of glass doors. They're trying to be like LaGuardia in New York

Flight was awesome. Baggage claim was on time and the overall experience was great... now back to work LOL

Coming here today was the first time I'm flying out on a not so busy day. My sister dropped me off, I got here early so I was able to have a sit down dinner and a snack. There's plenty of seats, but not all have a functional outlet to recharge your electronics. The restrooms were clean, although they have a dispenser by the toilets for hygienic wipes. It was empty. Walking to my gate was easy, everything is clearly marked and the restaurant selection is great.

This place is overcrowded and too hot. Crying babies everywhere concur with the heat assessment. There are not near enough seats for waiting passengers, and too few restrooms. Very poorly thought out, which is surprising given some of the incredible architecture in Dallas.

If you have to go into Dallas and have a choice pick Loves Field. Is is a more tamed airport with great amenities and is much easier to navigate. It is still a busy airport but offers an easier experience then the other option in Dallas. Yes it does not have the options of flights that the other one has but if you are traveling with family, especially small children, the chaos is sooooo much more tamed. There is much more of an ease to Loves. I highly recommend... if you can make it work... to fly into or out of Loves if you can.

Love field continues to be a pillar during my travel! It's a great place to fly in and out! The one thing I never knew because I typically rent a car here is that the area for ride shares is a pretty lengthy walk! Other than that it's always so easy!

Always easy in/ easy out experience at this airport. Quick access to the gates, good choice of grab and go eats and last minute souvenirs. There is only one security line so it gets long, but moves quickly. TSA is friendly and efficient. Gate agents are informative and welcoming. Seating area is clean and spacious. If you're traveling alone, your family or with a large work group you'll have everything you need.

Nice small community airport! Though I didn't eat or drink at this airport, it looks like an nice place with some good eateries, both local favorites and restaurants. The restrooms were clean and though there were lines, it moved pretty quickly due to the large number of both urinals and stalls. There was an issue with the luggage jamming when we arrived, but the staff at the airport kept updating us with information about how long it would take and when they would restart the belt. It was maybe 5 or 10 minutes before the the bags started coming out again. And after that it was pretty quick for our luggage to come up. The reason for the one negative is that when we flew out yesterday, my mother opted to sit in a wheelchair as her legs were bothering her. Both my mother and I have pre TSA, which we told the attendant who what's pushing her. We ended up standing in line forever, probably for 30 minutes, and then I had to take my laptop out and take my belt off and do things that I wouldn't ordinarily do if I were going through a pre TSA line. I was very irritated that this gentleman did not take us that way. It would have been far quicker and I wouldn't have had to take my laptop out nor my belt off or my shoes off. We did not have that issue flying to Dallas as the attendant made sure that we were in the shortest line having the pre-tsa destination on our boarding passes. Other than the snafu at security, everything else was fine and easy peasy. If you can fly to Dallas Love Field versus DFW, you will probably prefer it because you aren't at a big huge airport with many terminals. Highly recommend this airport. I will remember the security issue the next time I am there.

Oh my Goodness can we talk about DAL airport. Okay it's crazy that Dallas has 2 airports, but this one was so cute. It has a play area inside for your kiddos. It has a stage for musical guest to perform. Also Maggianos Italian restaurant inside and that's only the Southwest terminal area where those gates are located. This place is cute and has thought of food, drinks, and entertainment for you and your family. The restrooms were clean and efficient. No complaints there. Could they use an update sure but meh it could be worse. Pleasantly surprised by Dallas airport and Dallas in every way. Fly into DAL if you can and leave a review.

If you're flying into Dallas I recommend you fly into Dallas Love Field. Great selection of shops, restaurants, and a smaller airport so you can save yourself a few bucks. Check out the Chilli's while waiting for your flight, they make a killer Old Fashion!

I love this airport, it feels like a mall setting . All stores are open and crowded. Many choices and options. From food to clothes to souvenirs to liquors it's a one stop shop. Weather is always beautiful which makes airplanes looks great landing . Pricey but you can always find something reasonably to purchase. Decorated beautifully throughout the building!

When it came to needing accommodations on our way flying into this airport, the staff did a really good job. They even pushed my friend to the designated area where she needed to be at for pick up, and they even helped us with our Uber driver top-tier service. However, when we came back to the airport to depart from Dallas, we ran into some issues with the accommodations. It appeared that there was some confusion on who was available to help us. Hit and miss.

I love this airport as Southwest Hub if I was flying through to head somewhere more fun. However, as a destination, I was hugely disappointed when I went to find a ride share. Uber Pickup is WAY too far away. It was at the far end of the parking lot. It's relatively small, so it's easy to go from one gate to another (no trains needed). There are plenty of food options and the corridors are a nice size where you don't feel too cramped. I'd connect through here again.

I love traveling Southwest because it's small and easy to maneuver. It's basically one way in and one way out. The parking garage was always full, so parking was a bit rough. This week I picked up my aunt and dropped her off. I honestly don't know if you have to show up two hours early to do check in, baggage etc. The line was pretty long, but my aunt had wheel chair assist so it made it smooth for her. The wheel chair guy John was pretty friendly and made my aunt more comfortable. She's an elderly lady and traveling for her is scary, so thank you John. I never noticed the "dog park", but see my picture and where it's located. I figured I shared because I never knew it existed. Anyways I would definitely fly with Southwest, safe flight .
