Dalton's Sports Grill

A few months back ordered some gizzards which had gone up tremendously since my first few times dining here. I kid you not there were about 10 gizzards if that for $12.45. I decided to give them one more try because the gizzards are tasty just not paying that amount for the portion I received. This time around the portion was better but I eat one and had this awful taste I immediately spit it out and it's some sort of green something mixed in. Not sure if that one was bad or if it wasn't properly cleaned either way I couldn't finish the rest. My husband also order 20 Caribbean Jerk wings they were decent but as he got to the bottom layer of wings they were literally sitting in grease which I know grease is expected but not a cup full. Why plate someone's food knowing the grease wasn't properly drained off the chicken ? Not sure if we'll be back and although we love to support local businesses these types of experiences makes it hard to do! I did post photos from both times we ordered.

My husband & I went to Dalton's for a Friday night date night. It was a great experience. We had mozzarella sticks for an app. We also got 10 bone-in wings each. They were cooked just like we like them. Crispy yet juicy. I got my fav honey mustard and he got mango habenaro. Delicious!

DALTONS Food/service is hit or miss. We ordered two burgers to go: a Bronco burger and cheese burger. Along with tater tots and onions and two appetizers: fried pickles and squash. The Styrofoam containers kept in all the heat and the crispy coating was all soggy and unappealing. When ordering the burgers the online order asked HOW we wanted them cooked: medium is what i answer. Nope. Both were beyond well done. And toppings? NONE. No mustard, ketchup pickles or onions despite typing ALL THE WAY. Arriving to pick up my order, it said it would be ready at 6:13pm, my order wasn't finished until 6:49pm. The hostess/servers were all over the place, I stood for a few minutes before anyone would even acknowledge me. We keep trying to give Daltons a shot but I think this was the absolute last straw. We want so badly to support a local business, but the quality isn't there. What an absolute waste of $50.

Everyone should go here at least once to see how it's decorated on the inside. Very outdoorsy and woody. Very interesting and different than a regular restaurant which makes it fun! Our waitress was nice and efficient. The food was good. Just nothing really special that stood out. Hence the four-star instead of five star.

This was the second time we've been here. The food was decent the first time. Second time, we waited for about 15 minutes for a server to ask about our drinks. This was a bad sign. Five minutes later, we were told the gator wasn't available and still no drinks. The server came back with a menu and drinks finally. We were already so frustrated we just canceled our order and left. We canceled the order and went somewhere else WITH NO APOLOGY.

First, I always want to compliment the service staff. Emma did a fantastic job taking care of our every need. A very sweet young lady and she knew how to treat us well. Excellent customer service and took exceptional care of our every need. The food was superior to most restaurants we have eaten at lately. The fried green tomatoes are as good as my MoMA made and the best I have had in any restaurant lately. The fish & shrimp & clam strips was so fresh and delicious. My husband and I both were amazed. Highly recommend the seafood platter on their Saturday special. Drove over an hour to eat at another restaurant but changed our mind. My husband had eaten here years ago and told me he wanted to try it again so we left the other restaurant and drove 30 more minutes to Dalton's and I was so happy. My husband knows I love art, no matter where it is at because painting and carving is a talent. He told me you are going to love the art on the walls and he was so right. The atmosphere was perfect southern hospitality at its best. If you are ready to go somewhere different and just relax with a cold drink and get some amazing food, Dalton's is the place to go. Ask for Emma, she is awesome!

We loved this place and plan on returning when in that area. Good food, great prices and a open friendly environment.

We went on Saturday around 5pm. There were 13 of us so a small wait but understood that. Our waitress was Alaina. She was great. We never asked for anything she was always checking on us. The food was excellent. What she didn't know we were there with family because my older brother had passed that week. Had my younger brother and 2 of my older brothers kids and we could not have had a better experience then we did.

Hubby and I have been to Dalton's a few times and it's always a great experience. We have tried a couple of their appetizers including the cheese sticks and the corn nuggets. Both are really good. Their marinara sauce is more of a meat sauce, very tasty! The chicken sandwiches are hubby's favorite. He's had both the buffalo chicken sandwich and the scream'n chicken sandwich. Their boneless wings are delicious. Crispy and saucy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. Their medium sauce is amazing! Tater tots are perfectly seasoned and crispy and the sweet potato fries are tough to beat! The servers are friendly and attentive. Great beer selection and elevated bar food. Old Florida/country vibes. It's a must visit kind of place.

I went here on a referral, I didn't think it's was the best wings in town. Server was okay was more into her friends at the other table which doesn't bother me, but I ran out of water.

The servers are very courteous however, the actual service to get food was a bit to be desired. I ordered the smash burger sliders and they were dried out and definitely not worth the price of $14 and change. They may have been worth perhaps seven dollars. Their prices have been raised and their quality has really gone down on those burgers. However, my husband's baked potato was great he said. No complaints there.

Yes I would go back their food is pretty good a little expensive but that's to be expected

Tater tots are so good here. I got the fried chicken sandwich and the size of the actual chicken on the sandwich was disappointing- it barely even took up the bun and I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had. Just an eh sandwich and I probably wouldn't get it again. The sauces here for the wings is a really good selection. The fried cheese & pretzel app was good! I did check in here and it offered me 10% off the bill - then the waitress told me we couldn't use it which was weird. She even checked with the manager and he didn't know anything about it. Seems weird if the manager doesn't even know about a yelp deal the business has to post themselves? They didn't end up offering it either. Oh well.

Pretty decent place and would visit again. Had standard smoked meats. The servers was nice and checked on us numerous times. Greta local and family environment.

From the start it wasn't good. We were asked if we wanted to eat outside. I said not really, there were empty tables inside, but we were seated outside. We waited 20 minutes(they werent busy) when the bartender finally went to get the waitress to take our drink order. We finally got our food, Mac and cheese was good, meat was just okay, but the fries and onion rings looked and tasted like they had sat under a warmer light for quite some time. Needless to say we won't be back there again.

Great food and great atmosphere. We came in with the kiddos. Kiddos got the hamburger with fries and boneless wings with kaboom sauce. Wife got the buffalo chicken wrap with kaboom sauce as well. I had the cowboy nachos. They had pulled pork, cowboy beans, bbq sauce and all the fixins.

I went to this restaurant with my children for lunch today. We were seated but then completely ignored for over 30 minutes. I watched another family come in after us, get seated, and promptly receive their drink orders. I spoke to the host, who told me they didn't know what was going on and would check on it, but they returned with no answers. What stood out to me was the fact that my children and I, who are African American, were ignored, while a white family that arrived 30 minutes after us was served immediately. Ultimately, I gathered my hungry children and left without ever being acknowledged after we were seated.

I come here every Friday, they have a special that if you order 25 wings you get a free picker. I love it! This time Elena my server brought a bucket instead of the pitcher so my beer would stay always cold. Love it more! This is a 10 stars place, thank you Alena

So I came by to get the appetizer of fried banana peppers and fried jalapeño peppers came to the table very and asked for 15 wings all drums and was said ok no problem then the food gets here and I have 6 drums and the rest flats and the appetizer had barely any banana peppers and mostly jalapenos peppers. I don't mind paying extra for all drums and for a decent amount of banana peppers and jalapenos. Not sure what's changed but this is two times not very good experience in two weeks. Come on guys me and my family love this place and come here a lot hope this review helps to fix the problems. Staff is always nice and the restaurant is clean as always. I came on Tuesday this week and my family came to celebrate my friends bday and me my wife and son finished all of our food before he ever got his food so he just got it to go.

Service was a little slow by the waitress was very nice and was working very hard. I had a pineapple chicken wrap it was very delicious. The tator tots were not as crispy as I prefer and no seasoning on them . Cute atmosphere.

The food is great and it's a really clean restaurant. They stay pretty busy with nothing else like it around and have a great variety of choices on the menu. Great family setting for all ages. The only thing needed for improvement is the tentativeness by the staff and speed of service.

Pros: -Spacious, floor plan -rustic feel aka "down home" -intricate details in decor (carvings in back of bench seatings) -humongous portions (each plate ordered by the four in our party was enough for two to share) -prices are average for bar food (quesadillas, burgers, wraps, etc.) -our waitress was so attentive & timely -lots of food parking ***ZERO CONS*** Recommended appetizer: LOADED POTATO BITES!

Hooters wannabe, with higher prices and way less chest. Be prepared to wait twenty minutes for a drink refill. Best thing about this place is the ranch.

Taco Tuesday at Dalton's was the greatest. Great service, great food and a great price

Went to Dalton's for first time after reading great reviews. Emma C. did a great job taking care of us!!! We had the 20 Bone-in Wings. Fantastic wings. Good size, meaty, and done right. Also, the Wheeler's Cheese steak Sandwich. Very good. The Yard Bird Potato was really, really good. Had the Brownie & Ice Cream Dessert. Nice. Great Job!!! We will definitely return.

Wow! This was good . The waitress was very attentive and friendly. Nice big spacious restaurant, great for groups and watching sporting events. Nice bar. The decor is very southern country comfort, mural of a swamp scene and wood themed decor. The Yard Bird Potato is big n filled with food. Grilled chicken, broccoli, cheese n onions with ranch dressing. I finished it and it costed me a 30 minute nap. The only bite I didn't like was the last bite, why, cause it was the last bite, I want more. I'll be back to try another menu item because the description on the menu makes them all sound delicious. I'll see you there!

Great vibe! Great ambiance! Food was good. American cuisine as a well priced menu. Total wasn't as expensive as one thought which is always nice! Service was great! Our waitress was attentive and super helpful! Drinks were great too! Will definitely be back for an all American dining experience.

Got a recommendation from a friend to Daltons. I would say everything is excellent. Killer Onion Ring appetizer followed by Ema's steak tips for my wife and a beautiful mushroom and cheddar burger. Service is really good, the place is clean (really important for me) and a solid atmosphere. You will love it here!

order 20 bone in wings for pick up garlic Parmesan, mild, cajun ranch tell me why the hell all these flavors were mixed into all 20 wings. I thought I was getting three different flavors. it was either that or they gave me all Parmesan. I really can't tell. **update ate them they were all Parmesan and the wings were very dry, they forgot the side of ranch too**

The food here is okay at best, and thats the only good part about this place. The ambiance isn't too bad but it feels so.. empty. Not to mention how unprofessional having claw machines in a place like this is. If you're going to have stuff like that in a sports bar at least put it in a room where it's not ruining the atmosphere, what a pain it is to have kids push past your seat to get to a claw machine. The service, theres one or two people that are out standing, but the ones that aren't pushed the scale to the other side for me. I was served by someone I think was called Brandy, she was rude and the wait for me to be able to get my food and drinks was absurd. I would not come here again. Overall a bad experience and I would not recommend coming here. Not even digging into the part that there is rarely any sports playing at the sports bar.

Came in for a quick bite at a local stop. Hubby got beef tips with a side of broccoli and green beans. I got the buffalo chicken salad tossed in medium heat with ranch dressing. Waitress was really nice and greeted us immediately. Food was warm and fresh. Nice experience this time.

Good Food very noisy service was ok; however they do not take you in order which was frustrating. we got skipped at least by 4 other parties. 5 percent to use a card i paid cash but i guess the menu price is cash and the charge 5%. That is the highest charge i have seen.

Finished up a round of golf and headed up to Daltons. I tried to remember to take a picture this time but I was to hungry. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and fries. Tasted great. I added a side of brown gravy and dipped my fries and burger. Chill atmosphere as always with baseball games on the tv's. Service was great.

No longer a place to support. I strive to support local but between the horrible service and no interest in serving decent food, Dalton's will sadly close as soon as there is competition. Cold food and pathetic staff. Sadly there are a few really good servers but they can't outrun the weight of the others.

The restaurant is very beautiful. The inside is really clean and the decor is very fun. Our server was quite different. Asked what beers was on tap, she said she didn't know and just stood there. After looking at each other for a second, I made the decision to go up to the bar bc it didn't seem like she was going to find out. Everyone ordered burgers and they tasted very very salty and you could even scrap the salt off the bottom of the burger. Unsure if the mushroom Swiss burger only has the mushroom in the gravy, but did not want the gravy and saw no mushrooms on the burger, if we would have known that it was not going to have any mushrooms woulda requested to add some. The fries and onion rings were typical, nothing special or different. The beers were cold. They have a section for the kids to play games. The bathroom was really cute. Everyone seems to be locals and make sure you go early bc they're quite busy. Looked like they have outside seating as well. Give this place a try.

This is now my 4th visit to Daltons and let me tell you...it gets better and better every time. So, tonight was busy...a 45min wait to be exact. Got seated & our server was right on it. She was in point, she engaged with multiple guest/tables and she also was able to make my daughter laugh ( Who usually doesn't like anybody LOL ). I've always had great service at Daltons but this server was top of the list. Today I ordered the Swamp Donkey. It wasn't what I thought at all. But that's completely my fault. In my head I was thinking about the Cajun Potato which I LOVE but for some reason I said Swamp. It looks amazing but I'm not a fan of banana peppers. She offered to replace it but I declined since I made the mistake. Either way, I ate around the peppers and still enjoyed what could. Again, completely my mistake. Next time I'll actually read the menu right. On to my favorite the appetizers! We got Fried Green Maters, Chicken Gizzards & Mushrooms. I got one question...who's old southern grandma is back there frying this food up? Because this here brings me back to Sunday afternoons growing up when my Nana fried chicken for the whole church. That breading is ON POINT. Crispy but not too thick, Flavorful, just the right around of seasoning. And it's consistent every time. Just don't make no sense. I'll be back....a lot

We really enjoy having Dalton's in Lake Asbury. We've had great service, food comes out fast and everything we've had has tasted great. The nachos will feed 2-3 people, sliders and Philly Cheesesteak is Delicious! I really wish they would start taking To Go Orders over the phone but that my only complaint.

It's been a while, but I enjoyed being there during karaoke. I remember the food and service being really good.

My daughter and I wanted to stop for lunch before playing some disc golf at a nearby park and the pizza place we normally hit was closed. Good thing too! We found Daltons nearby and decided to give it a shot. Pulling into the parking lot I was concerned this might be out of our budget. I have seen country clubs that didn't look as nice. The hunting lodge appearance Carried over inside and is very open and welcoming. Based on our waitresses suggestion I got the steak potato (minus mushrooms of course). To say I was happy with my meal would be an understatement. I ate enough that I am uncomfortable and still didn't finish. Meanwhile my daughter inhaled her burger. Both of us ate enough to be full, had drinks (mine was a beer) and still came in under $35. I'm normally a loyal customer, but my pizza place just lost out.

Dalton's Sports Grill took over the original Boondocks in Lake Asbury. While the menu is streamlined from the old Boondocks, the food is amazing! We had taco Tuesday beef tacos and shrimp quesadillas. The tacos were filled with perfectly spiced beef, large chunks of lettuce and tomato and topped with tasty cheddar cheese. The shrimp quesadillas were stuffed with large shrimp, lettuce, tomatoes, flavorful cheddar cheese and toasted to perfection. Add a full bar and fast, friendly, and efficient service for the ideal lunch spot. We're planning to try them for dinner sometime soon. What a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene!

Ribeye was done just right. Seasoned, moist, and tender. Broccoli and salad was excellent as well. It's nice to be able to enjoy a place that still does things right. Thank You.

Ate here a few years ago when it was Boondocks, so figured I'd go back to see if it had changed. Don't remember the menu, but pretty much bar and grill food. Ordered the giant pretzel with cheese sauce and the fried mushrooms as apps. Both were very good, but the cheese sauce was fairly boring nacho cheese. Beer cheese would have made the pretzel awesome. Mama just got an order of boneless wings, while I had the Sky D burger. She enjoyed the wings, and I was ecstatic over the burger and the onion rings. Who'd have ever thought to put hash browns on a burger? Not me, that's for sure. But it works, and works well. Burger was cooked perfectly, and very juicy. Sat out on the patio, which we found out is dog-friendly. Wish we had known that earlier, as we'd have brought the pooch. Service was excellent, the food was hot and good, and the beer was cold. Posted pics of the menu, as it's not the same as the one that's posted online.

Got here at 8pm and it was pretty busy. We didn't get seated until after 830pm even though closing time is at 9pm. The place was still very full and more customers were seated after us as well. However, you would have never got the feeling it was closing time. All of the staff was great especially our server. She was so sweet and helpful. She said the Cowboy nachos were going to be big and we were hungry and got them in addition to fried pickles and three burgers fir the three of us. She was right. We didn't finish the nachos and packed them up. So there isn't a description on the menu so I will explain here. The Cowboy Nachos are a bed of tortilla chips topped with cheddar cheese, sweet baked beans, pulled pork, BBQ sauce, ranch dressing and fresh jalapeños. Very generous portion as well. So good! It was messy but so good. We kept eating them even after the burgers hit the table. They also have traditional nachos as well as a Philly version as well. The fried pickles were also very good. They were pickle chips. Lightly breaded and served with ranch. She also mentioned they were changing a few things on the menu to add a Black and Blue burger that same week. So that sounds good. We got a SkyD burger for my son. Which he really enjoyed. I got the Flying Hawaiian that included pineapple, bacon and pepper jack cheese. Also a Bacon Cheeseburger with a added fried egg for the Mr. My only knit pick was that the pineapple is not fresh, but a jarred/ canned slice. I get that having fresh pineapple might not work out in their favor overall. So I get it. But it was still good and you always get points for having fresh jalapeno over pickled in my book. Again, great friendly service. Great portions. Lots of options. Big spacious dining area. Well lit and clean!

If I could leave no stars I would. Why you may ask? Because I never even tried the food. Tuesday night 7pm ish. Waited 10-12 minutes to be seated. No problem. Was sat. Waited. Waited. Waited some more. Was able to look over the menu. Three different servers pass by without stopping. After five minutes, table of three in front of us gets sat and immediately and server takes drink order. Waited TEN Minutes for someone to notice guest and myself. Nope, nada, nothing. Excused ourselves to exit. Won't be back. Would've liked to have tried the food but you shouldn't have to wait like that. There were still open tables as we left. To go unnoticed was ridiculous.

This is more of an update on previous reviews but this time we were here with a group and we ate in the main dining area, rather than on the covered patio area. The menu has changed and they have daily specials, which is nice to see. My husband got the Thursday special--spaghetti/meat sauce. It came with grilled garlic bread. I tried to avoid onion stuff (as usual because of an allergy). I was not, apparently, entirely successful so I was glad we live very close. I had the pulled pork sandwich with regular BBQ sauce (that might have been the culprit--or, the pork might have been pre-brined). I also had a side of steamed summer squash. We were at two tables so I didn't see what the other table's diners had, but at ours there was a teriyaki wing dinner with onion rings, a fried shrimp dinner, and a plain burger. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals but be careful of the wing sauces--even the mild has a lot of heat! The decor is fun and the service was pleasant. Get there early because it fills up by 6 p.m.

Menu was a bit limited for me. Even the drinks. But the staff were awesome, food was delicious. The building and decor are so fun. We are local and plan to come back here and there.

Good was delicious and the server was so friendly! Had the Cajun potato, shared their version of bang bang shrimp, and topped it off with a decadent chocolate cake!

Great place to hang out and eat. The environment is nice, especially with the design and decorations inside the building. The service has always been great, even when it gets busy. I typically get wings from here, there is no flavor I am set on getting, I have tried quite a few and all have been great! They also offer outdoor seating with a bar which is nice in the cooler months! Overall great place for adults and families!

Food is so good! We had fried green tomatoes, sweet potato tater tots, Cajun stuffed potato and Screaming Chicken Sandwich. Everything was delicious! Our server Ashley was very attentive. I couldn't take a picture of everything because I dug right in!

When u say extra crispy and it's not crispy but extra yucky. Geez idk why they can't get your $50 plus order right. If it wasn't a to go order I would have told them to shove the wings up there ass whole. Next time I'll be sure to check my shit before leaving. I guess i never updated this, Daltons replaced my order, No question asked brought my receipt. Thank u!

The worst over 45 min after we ordered and we get told they lost our order then 30 min later get told they are out of something's then food comes out right as we were going to walk out manager never came out. Don't eat here.

Figured we'd try the wings here to compare to Mr Chubbys. Food was ok but for similar prices we'd probably go to Mr Chubbys cause the food is a little more seasoned.

just ok. Selection lacking. Service is fine. ambiance is rustic but clean. I only go there because it's the closest place.
