I had the pleasure of trying Chefs 5 course tasting menu and I was not disappointed. There were a few dishes where my palate was not quite sure but they certainly left a lasting impression on my palate. There were others that just blew away my senses. Truly worth a visit. The wine pairing to my veal was absolutely spot on and the risotto with lobster was melting in my mouth. Highly recommend. If not from my description then from these pictures.

Disappointing. Refusing a baby in the restaurant is completely discriminatory. We had gone there several times before having our child, but we will not return. We had to change our entire trip because a baby is considered a disturbance in the restaurant, which is unethical—supposedly because there is no space for a stroller. What, then, about people with disabilities? While the food is certainly delicious, the service is discriminatory.

Best fine dining restaurant I have tried so far. The atmosphere is great and the food quality is exceptional. Service is also very good.

Exquisite experience! Does feel like being at a Michelin star restaurant. The restaurant is a part of Van der Valk Hotel Het Arresthuis, which opened its doors in Roermond in 2011. The restaurant is named after Roermond bishop Damianus (1724-1793). There is a Damianz menu and more exclusive chef's menu, offering from 4 to 6 sets of dishes. Going even for 4 dishes leaves you full and fully satisfied. Each dish is a firework of tastes and there was nothing we did not like or could not finish. A real gem of Roermond, just a short walk from Roermond outlet. Well worth the visit. Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours to finish the whole set and a dessert/cheese plate they offer at the end of the set.

We enjoyed dinner at Damianz ! The service was good and even adapted the pace to our baby. We ordered the chef's 6 step menu and weren't disappointed.

Absolutely amazing food and service! Highly recommended. One item maybe to consider for chef - peer desert is way too sweet, it needs a splash of acidity to balance it. And also powdered sugar is not needed in there too.

I found this place based on a recommendation in Trip Advisor. It's located in Hotel Arresthuis, which is converted from a prison. Hands down, this is one of the best dining experiences of my life. If you enjoy gastronomie, then this is surely the place for you! Unique food combinations that please the palate in surprising ways. This is more than a meal, it's a total experience. If you are in Roermond, you must make this a priority!!!
