I finally decided to try DaMo Pasta Lab after they opened in my neighborhood a few months back and it was even better than I expected it to be. The restaurant is small, yet stylish and suited more for takeout than enjoying the fine dining faire that they serve in house. In fact, while the dining room had only one person eating, several takeout orders were fulfilled while I waited for my order.
There are plenty of great pasta options to choose from and every dish is made fresh to order, with the finest of ingredients. I ordered Casarecce Al Pesto with some grilled chicken and the nicely sized portion was delicious and oh so satisfying.
The service I received was friendly and attentive, which I find to be almost as important as the food.
My only gripe was that I didn't see any options to add meat to the pasta dish on their website, which was something I was looking for. In order to add chicken to my pasta I had to go to the "Italian American" side of the menu, which allowed you to build your own pasta dish. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice just to be able to add chicken or even meatballs over on the "Padta Italiana" side of the ordering page. That being said, now I know where to go (and how to order) some great not-your-everday pasta.
