Perfect place for breakfast or a light meal. Close to the port, it fills up quickly when the ferry arrives. They have a great view over the port, the staff is kind and efficient and the food is honest, tasting like home. I had an egg sandwich and took home some scones but I should have also packed on the sourdough bread that was delicious (and they sell small packages of 3-4 slices!).

Really great sandwiches, we tried the wildboar and sardine. They were both really great. In addition they had several alternatives of bakery which was also amazing. Not to mention the people working there, super kind and helpful. Would recommend everyone visiting the island to make a stop. Thanks for having us!:)

Happy the bakery cafe is open at 8.30am! Came to the island for Setouchi Triennale. Delicious sardine sourdough sandwich and good black coffee. Short wait for table as everyone came into the island, probably on the same first ferry as me from Takamatsu.

Just the perfect cozy and hip place to end a day of walking around the beautiful island and petting cats in the village. Friendly English-speaking service. As a vegetarian I was to happy to eat a really good walnut sandwich with hummus and mushrooms. My partner had a sandwich with eggs, cheese and broccoli. We loved it, as well as the tasty craft beer. We highly recommend this place! This wonderful village and island needs to be able to live on and then it needs places like this and people visiting it.

I loved this cafe! The anchovies sandwich, Victoria cake, and soda were delicious. The ambiance of the cafe and the view from the terrace was beautiful! The people that served us were very friendly!

Had the wild boar curry sandwich and it was amazing. The curry was delicious. The wild boar was hunt by the owner’s husband in the island. The sandwich was full of good cheese and veggies. Bread was well toasted and crispy. The staff is also welcoming and well humored. The store was busy but they were still friendly and nice. Promised to return to have a dessert, but time run fast and I couldn’t make it on time. But I’ll be back again.

Very cute hillside cafe. Not really any seating inside, but the terrace is very nice, and they have fans for hot days. I had the curry boar sandwich and an iced chai. I’m usually picky about my iced chai and this one really hit the spot! The sandwich was really good! It had pickled veggies, a lot of cheese, and curried boar. The bread was also good. I will say that the sandwich was more of a grilled cheese with a little bit of meat in it, but regardless it was delicious. Oatmeal raisin cookie was ok. I prefer a more moist and squishy cookie than this one was.
