5/5 Pizza Cooking Class Experience at D’Amores Thousand Oaks! 🍕 When our Westlake High School Regiment seniors couldn’t celebrate on their traditional night, Lea at D’Amores helped us create something special—a private pizza-making class! From planning to execution, everything was seamless. The students had a blast learning to toss the dough and enjoying the pizzas they made themselves. Huge thanks to Lea and the D’Amores Thousand Oaks team for such a fun, memorable evening. We had a wonderful time and hope this becomes a WHS Regiment tradition! 💙

Google
OMG! OMG! The BEST and I mean the BEST pizza in town! It was so delicious I ate two huge slices even though I was full. The crust is absolutely PERFECT! I have eaten a lot of pizzas and D'Amores exceeds all! A MUST TASTE!

Google
What an incredible team building experience! From the pizza toss to the tiramisu whip, it was so much fun (and very delicious)! Lea was an awesome host and guide. Highly recommend this for teams.

We did the group pizza and tiramisu building here and it was a great experience! Lia was a great instructor and full of life. The food is really authentic here with all ingredients thought through to be the most fresh and healthy choices. The dough for their pizzas is made fresh every morning. It was probably the best pizza dough and red sauce i have tasted in a while! Definitely worth a stop in!

Was in the mood for some pizza and pasta googled and found this spot due to the great reviews my husband and i thought it be a good ride on his harley from simi to go try it out! This place does not disappoint we each ordered slices of pizza and a family size spaghetti with meat sauce! The pizza was so delish and the pasta was really good sauce so tasty full of flavor! Trust me it will not disappoint! Met the owner very friendly and so welcoming!!!!!

Google
Ok, so I was raised in New Jersey and spent nine years of my prime pizza eating years (20s) in Boston and I fancy myself an expert judge of “East coast style” pizza. D’Amore’s, in the Thousand Oaks location, has been my home away from home for an authentic, honest, “Italian, the way my grandmother made it” meal. The pizza and calzones have the crust that you savor. The pasta dishes are finished with just the right amount of basil and cheese, the antipasto and meatless salads are fresh and crisp. It’s obvious that D’Amores cares about the quality of the ingredients they buy. Ok, so another thing, Lea D’Amore has been doing a pizza party truck for years (both of my kids have had birthday parties with her), years ago. Highly recommended, and a hit with the parents as well. Please keep this family business well patronized. It’s a little piece of home. They say “it’s the water,” but I know it’s in the heart! ♥️

Yelp
Cleanliness: 5 out of 5 Service: 5 out of 5 Atmosphere: 5 out of 5 Food: 4 out of 5 My order: 14" Veggie pizza with jalapeños. Reflection: The customer service was amazing and I have to point that out because I went about an hour before closing and I know that can be seen as an inconvenience. I really enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients as well.

Yelp
We came here because we saw all the fantastic yelp reviews!! Unfortunately we probably didn't get the best batch since for most of the slices (see video !) the toppings slid off the pizza, which may have been because the pizza was overloaded with sauce or not yet given enough time to rest after cooking. The toppings were still good but felt like we were using the dough to scoop up the toppings the kept falling off -- We love supporting local businesses so we will certainly come back and give this restaurant another try! The shop was so so cute with frames on the wall outlining the family story - and the service was quick!

Yelp
First time here and ordered a jumbo pizza (12 slices) with half cheese and the other half with pepperoni & sausage for $35. They cooked the pizza the way I requested which was not burnt, charred, or crispy but soft and toasty. The pizza tasted delicious and I'll definitely come back for more and try some other things on the menu.

Yelp
Delicious food, amazing service & a comfy ambiance! Staff is friendly and owner Lea is very welcoming! My family and I couldn't decide with so many tempting options to choose from so we shared a Marguerite pizza, chicken Alfredo pasta, chicken piccata, baked ziti w sausage & garlic knots. Everything was flavorful & the fresh ingredients were evident in the quality & taste! Clean restaurant & bathroom! Found a new favorite Italian restaurant & can't wait to go back to try more fresh dishes & desserts!

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Fresh flavor, steamy hot. Crust so crunchy. I got a regular cheese pizza and my friend got jalapeños and pineapple. So yummy!!

Atom B.

Yelp
This place used to be REALLY good unfortunately not anymore!!! 2ND time I ordered the wings they are overcooked and dry they forgot the blue cheese to dip ( I did not get buffalo sauce), so you could really taste dry burnt wings! The pizza seems smaller than I recall, I got a large and it seem like it was a medium, unless they changed the sizings they had a XL but that one is too big, But the pizza was cold, soggy, and really wasn't even pleasing the taste! I'll be going to Freda's Pizza, in lieu of D'Amores more authentic now, or Topper's Pizza! Worth $75 I think not, the worst now!

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best experiences I've had in Thousand Oaks! I took the pizza and tiramisu making class at Amore's with a group of five friends, and from start to finish, it was incredible. Lisa was our instructor, and she was absolutely AMAZING--knowledgeable, patient, funny, and made the whole process feel welcoming and easy to follow. You can tell she loves what she does, and it makes the class that much more enjoyable. The pizza? Delicious. We got to make our own from scratch, and the flavors were out of this world--fresh ingredients, perfect crust, and customizable to your taste. Then came the tiramisu, and wow... creamy, rich, and the best I've had in a long time (yes, even better than some restaurant versions). The whole vibe at Amore's is warm and inviting. Everyone we interacted with was kind, friendly, and clearly passionate about sharing their love for food and community. It felt like cooking with family. Highly recommend this class for date nights, group outings, or just treating yourself to a fun and tasty time. We left full, happy, and with big smiles on our faces. Thank you Lisa and the Amore's team for a beautiful, delicious memory!

Yelp
Best pizza I've had in a while. Just had a simple cheese pie and it was fantastic. Cooked just right, great sauce, right amount of cheese and great crust. Would definitely go here again to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

Yelp
The availability of pizza places that offer vegan cheese is sadly limited. I have developed a condition that requires me to avoid dairy, especially cheese. That makes enjoying my favorite food - pizza - extremely challenging. I saw online that D'Amore's has vegan cheese as an option. Called ahead to verify, and the kind young man taking orders confirmed it was true. When I asked about a white sauce or creamy garlic sauce for the base, he was confused. Apparently, they only use red pizza sauce. I asked if they could do olive oil and fresh garlic as the sauce layer. He checked with "the chef" and was told that was okay. Well, when Dear Hubby went out to run errands and brought the pizza home, it turned out that whoever assembled the ingredients ignored my request. I got red sauce instead. They do use Follow Your Heart vegan cheese, which is a good choice. The rest of the 'za was just okay. The mild Italian sausage had unremarkable flavor. The crust turned out to be the biggest disappointment. It has the consistency and flavor of boxed frozen pizza from the grocery store. Yikes! At $25 for a small pie with 3 toppings, the wrong sauce, and a subpar crust, this does not entice me to want to go to the restaurant for a dine-in experience. Oh yes - I ordered an hour before for a 5:30 pickup time. When DH arrived, it still wasn't ready. Unfortunately, our first impression wasn't the best.

Yelp
Good pizza, healthier than most, nice staff. but service could be faster and maybe a little cheaper. This pizza is probably on the more pricier places in town, but you get what you pay for.

Juan M.

Yelp
In Beverly Hills the pizza isn't as expensive per slice! Live this place as far as west coast pizza goes, but I'll wait till I travel back east or as far as Sherman Oaks or Beverly Hills for pizza that's not as expensive.

John D.

Yelp
Worst pizza I've had in a long time. Crust was terrible, too much garlic, mediocre cheese. I could go on. I used to love this place but it has been many years since I had it. They first chased me away by over pricing their pizza and now they simply made it nearly inedible. O redemption possible here.

Wendy R.

Yelp
The pizza was so delicious! We took it home and three of us shared a 14" pie. The staff were really nice.

Ethan L.

Yelp
Place was so amazing. Food was delectable and service was amazing. I loved every bit of this place. Will definitely be coming back soon. Pizza came out warm and super good.

Yelp
We love the Pizza and I usually pick it up myself. Friday night I was tired and ordered a pizza and salad. I have NEVER gotten a pizza still hot like it just came out of the oven! Kudos to Grubhub for delivering a delicious pizza and the chopped meatless salad quickly and, as I said, the pizza was still steaming!!

Yelp
Yummm this place was such a hit! Went for a Sunday dinner and ate on their large outdoor patio which is perfect for summer nights. The employees were all super friendly, polite, and helpful. The food was outstanding. We shared a small pepperoni and ricotta pizza, and the baked ziti with eggplant. The pizza was SO good and flavorful. The undercarriage was super crispy, and the toppings were plentiful. The pasta was a massive serving with a yummy creamy red sauce, with super fresh basil on top. They have the classic jars of parmesan and red pepper flakes that you can shake on your food yourself, and the cheese was surprisingly fresh and soft, where most pizza places have cheap hard parm in these containers. We had over half the pasta and 2 slices of pizza left to bring home. It's located in a shopping center with plenty of easy, free parking. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Such great food!!! Everything here is so good and shareable! I love ordering a few different things like a pasta, pizza and appetizers bc we can share with the table and try a little bit of everything. You won't regret anything you order here, it's so good.

Yelp
The pizza is the BEST, the service was amazing, took my son to dine in and we definitely will come back again, the guy was generous to give us an extra drink which was very nice of him. Great people and I liked the sitting area, they have TV for entertainment which is a plus, thank you for the incredible service and the perfect pizza, my son insisted I write this review

Mira C.

Yelp
The pizza here is pretty good. I'm originally from NYC and I've found that a lot of pizza places in California don't serve pizza that are comparable in tastiness to an average NY pizzeria. In fact, I've had terrible pizza here. Thus it was a nice surprise to have a good slice of pizza in California which I did enjoy at this pizzeria.
google avatar

Jeff J.

Yelp
The pizza here is so good! I recently stopped in with my son for a couple of slices and I was blown away. The staff was super friendly, the service was fast....and the pizza was hot, delicious, and authentic New York style. I can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu!
google avatar

Maria Christina V.

Yelp
Our new go-to for great Italian food! We love their lunch special (every day until 4 pm including weekends!) and includes soup or salad, entree, and drink. The food is so so good and made to order. Everything I've had has been delicious. The chicken parm is hot and crispy, and the tomato sauce for the pasta is so so good and fresh! Mmmmmm .... Excellent food!

Jared S.

Yelp
We live in Camarillo but drive to TO or Malibu for their pizza since the Cam location is closed. Easily the best pizza we've had in LA (they import some ingredients directly from Italy). Their employees in TO are extremely nice. When you order a pizza to go, they always finish the last couple of minutes after you arrive for freshest pizza. The pizza is East Coast style (seems like NY but I think it's Boston, not sure the difference). Highly recommend!

Yelp
Love the thin crust cheese, call me a purest. Great salads as well. Service is always friendly and casual dining with sports on the TVs.

Carrie C.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, soooo much fun. We had a pizza making class here last night with our group of 11. The owner, Lea, did a fantastic job teaching us how to make our own individual pizzas and tiramisu. So delicious. Our entire group had a great time. I highly recommend this pizza making class and restaurant.

Robert Y.

Yelp
I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday, she's a Chef .She was super happy and excited, about the fresh ingredients imported from Italy, the quality and Leas very helpful ,exciting class.I have been there before, love the authenticity, service and quality .I highly recommend the food, staff is great,I'll continue to patronize them. Yelp
My family took me to D'Amore's as a birthday surprise for a cooking class. I'm a chef and Italian food is my faaaavorite, so I was super excited at having this experience with Leah, one of the owners. She routinely runs cooking demonstrations in-house, corporate team building events in addition to operating a successful catering business. Ms. Leah gave us all of the specifics on imported flour used to make their pizza as well as the imported WATER both direct from Italy! This really makes this delicious pizza and cut above EVERYTHING! It's naturally gluten-free as the Europeans do not use the same hormone altering pesticides used here in America. We made sauce from scratch and also hand whipped tiramisu for dessert. I was delighted like a kid in a candy store! I simply could NOT STOP grinning! We created & baked our creations under Ms. Leah's watchful eye and encouraging demeanor, cheering us on all the way! She weaved stories of her running classes in the restaurant for as many as 35 attendees and at local corporate centers as we cooked & ate. Sooo much fun for me to create alongside another chef in a quaint space with wholesome ingredients. She was even so kind as to give us some dough to take away to recreate this deliciousness at home, which I did a few days later. I will return, hopefully to create something else super delicious in this unassuming, lovely space.

Yelp
Truly the BEST PIZZA around anywhere! It took me years to discover the original D'Amore's Pizza in Canoga Park. And for over a decade I patronised them. This original establishment had the finest tastiest crust I'd had on a pizza. And, you want their regular thin crust. The origin story is a grand story. It is about how Joe D'Amore travelled from Boston, MA to Southern California and used his grandmother's recipe for his pizza pie shoppe but he couldn't make the crust taste right. After many attempts he and his Momanona discovered that the difference was all in the water! Because of California's hard water they decided to import the water from Boston and the rest as they say is history. https://www.damoresthousandoaks.com/our-story However the recipe came to pass their crust is simply gorgeous and tastes different from other pizzas made in California. Unfortunately, I had to move away from the area and alas no more D'Amores pizza until I discovered a chain and tried the D'Amore's off of 3rd Street near Beverly Hills, CA. I was elated to discover a D'Amores Pizza was over there...until I tried it. My joy dashed. The crust was all wrong. It was NOT the same recipe. Nothing tasty. Nothing special. Nothing grand. I gave them 2 or 3 more attempts until I gave up altogether. Then years later I moved again. During the recent Pandemica I was desperate for good pizza and tried out various pizzerias in the area hoping to come close to the original Canoga Park D'Amore's from "long ago." Lo and behold there was a D'Amore's in Thousand Oaks! I decided to give this one a try but I withheld any great hopes due to many prior disappointments. And YES!!! The same recipe!!! This D'Amore's is NOT like any of the others including even the Canoga Park D'Amore's of old which has since also changed. Due to a number of establishment changes over the years the Tried and True D'Amore's Pizza with the incredible crust made from the original recipe and amazing pizza has now shifted over to Thousand Oaks! YES! Luck turned around! And to cover the other bits...customer service and staff are very pleasant and accommodating. It's a cute local pizzeria and if you haven't been I recommend you give them a chance. They also have many other tasty non-pizza Italian entrées, too! Note: They can swap out vegan cheese for their pizzas and even swap out vegan cheese to cook their Baked Ziti. Make no mistake about vegan cheese, it is plant-based and as such does not melt like cheese made from dairy. To expect a pizza made of vegan cheese to taste or behave similar to pizza made of dairy is an unrealistic and unfair expectation upon any establishment.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service and comfy and clean environment. Always a pleasure to go if for pizza or something fancier!

Brianna A.

Yelp
We are regulars and love their thin cheese pizza. Reminds me of pizza you would get in NY. Nice thin crust with a perfect amount of flavorful cheese and a sprinkle of oregano. I follow their social media and want to try it with some ricotta on top next time!

R G.

Yelp
Delicious spaghetti & meatballs! Friendly service and helpful staff. Casual, relaxed atmosphere.
google avatar

Sonj H.

Yelp
We used the credit and tried a ricotta spinach pizza and it was pretty good. So all in all I think this place delivers a midrange pizza experience. A solid B.

Karen O.

Yelp
Always very nice and the menu is good! We have had very good experiences ordering from they They have coupons offers.. Their pizza by the slice is very good and a generous portion.
google avatar

Saul G.

Yelp
I've lived here 12 years and never tried it but man what a great place. Had their arugula / prosciutto pizza plus their extra spicy wings. Both were outstanding. I came in based on meeting the owner and he was right. Everything is fresh and delicious.
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
I had called ahead of time to ask if they could accommodate 16 people. The man was very friendly and explained they have indoor and outdoor dining. So we all show up about 10 minutes later. We got to sit down right away inside. We all ordered different foods, it all came really fast. Everything was perfect. Unfortunately I didn't get to take pictures. It was sooo DELICIOUS!!! Every single worker was super friendly, they went above andbeyond expectations. We all had a great time and will definitely go back!

Marnie B.

Yelp
We have been ordering pizza from DAmore's every Friday night for 10+ years...it's our favorite. However the new delivery service is adding $20+ to our order each week. Unfortunately we will be changing.....too expensive.

K K.

Yelp
Really good pizza...LA is always rough but this is a good slice and yummy salad/dressing! We usually go to Malibu locations but this was just as good.
google avatar

Evette R.

Yelp
They offer an awesome range of fresh pizzas. I liked dining here. Staff members are always friendly, prices are reasonable and the spot is always kept clean.

Terry K.

Yelp
Satisfying pie, friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. Recommend thisestablishment.

Yelp
Listen to THIS!!!: I got there 25 minutes before closing on a week night. I asked them to put together anything that was already made and they cheerfully heated up a slice of pepperoni pizza. Even though it was like 8:45! Well, it was EXCELLENT PIZZA. Crispy crust, but not burnt, lots of cheese and meat with a tiny amount of flop and a great-tasting sauce. 10 out of 10!!! Didn't taste reheated! I'm from NYC so I'm picky, but this was BETTER than NYC! I can't wait to come back! Chef's KISS, D'Amores! Word to the wise: eat it within 10 minutes of getting it. Doesn't matter if you burn your mouth, it's worth it. If you wait any more than that, as with any pizza, it's gonna taste a little congealed. And whatever you do, don't ever DoorDash pizza Because then it's on you if you don't like it. Cold or jostled around. It's really a sin to DoorDash pizza.
google avatar

Jaide D.

Yelp
I had a pleasure to visit this place! Tiny little Italian restaurant and lots of generous welcoming staff! We were trying this place to see if we wanted to have them cater cannolis for our wedding! Let me just tell you it's a green light for booking! If we hadn't already booked our food we would book them for food as well! We got a large meaty and olive pizza. Also I am gluten sensitive and they have sooo many options for it I couldn't choose, I wanted their gluten free pasta which looked delicious but decided on a gluten crusted salad with spinach ricotta garlic and Parmesan! MMM MMMM it was yummy!!! We also had the fresh Cesar salad and bruschetta. Sooo yummy and flavorful! To top it off we had 4 mini cannolis that were the cherry on top of a delicious meal!! Very very clean place as well! Inside and outside! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
You gotta try their pizzas! Service is good and the pizza is amazing. We have had pizzas here for 2 days and still cannot get enough of it. It is simply amazing!
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Best pizza! Not a single time we had to regret ordering from D Amore. Valley area and this location are really good and the pizza is unbelievable.
google avatar

Anne B.

Yelp
If you like thin and crispy pizza this is the place for you...nuff said! They have a lunch special worth stopping in for during the week. They're tucked away in the back of a plaza next to a great Korean/Japanese restaurant. Give em' a try but beware parking is chaotic during lunch time so come early!

Darlene W.

Yelp
I would highly recommend D'Amores Pizza, If you are looking for a pizza/Italian food caterer for your next event. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding and the set-up is professional! D'Amores catered our birthday party outdoor bash and the guests were gushing over how good the pizzas and salad was! And Lea and her crew are so friendly and accommodating. It was a joy to have D'Amores cater our gathering!
google avatar

Elsa G.

Yelp
Was craving pizza with cauliflower crust and it was delicious!! Upon entering I noticed how clean the restaurant was and I was greeted by friendly staff. I also had a slice of pepperoni and it rocked!!!!! Delicious fresh made to order. Definitely will be coming here again! Friendly cooks and staff which is a huge plus! Next review I'll provide pictures.

Yelp
Had a legitimate concern / constructive criticism for their lack luster customer service. They never had the professional courtesy to respond. Will continue to go to Toppers,Winners, Lampost where patronage is appreciated. Too much competition out in the Conejo for D+ service.
google avatar

Myra L.

Yelp
My pizza looked great however it was very soggy, i literally poked a whole rt through it easily, I held it up and everything just came off.
google avatar

Ron W.

Yelp
There are many places to order pizza in Thousand Oaks, what makes this different is their quality. Imagine thin crust pizza that has a crisp at the edges, sauce that is sweet and blends well with their extensive topping selection. One large slice pizza is filling. Their salads are substantial sized. Their chicken tenders omg!!!! How do they do that magic? It's not the basic frozen chicken quickly fried that you can get from freezer section of any known grocery store. This time I ordered veggie grill pizza with meatballs, chicken tenders and family size meatless salad. All were awesome and plenty of leftovers for the following day. Their pizza survives the fridge. Some pizza becomes soggy, mushy, extremely hard.. nah. Their recipe makes it worth to get larger size pizza. Parking is easy and free. Pre covid was easy to eat at their beautiful outdoor patio or inside.
google avatar

Pascual C.

Yelp
We have only been ordering their pizza for a short time. They have the best pizza around. My wife really loves their tiramisu.
