"Restaurante Danals, a Mexican restaurant located at 508 N O’Connor Road, experienced a devastating fire leading to a roof collapse. The restaurant is known for its colorful murals, frozen margaritas, and staple menu items like tamales. The fire occurred on Monday morning, with first responders arriving at the scene at 8 a.m. to heavy smoke and flames. Fortunately, there are no immediate reports of injuries. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the building's instability has hindered investigation efforts." - Adele Chapin

Still a decent lunch but service keeps lacking. Reasonable prices and good food, salsa was not as good as it used to be. I never got my sour cream and guacamole I ordered for my fajitas. But heck it took 10 minutes to get a glass of tea, no telling how long that would have taken. All in all, not what it used to be, but maybe just an off day. I will still try again as it is still a solid option.

My husband and I visited this place the Monday before it got burned down. It was our first time going there and we fell in love. The food was great with good portions, price is hard to beat. Especially with the free chips and salsa ready for you while you wait. To top it off, they had amazing homemade tortillas. We had plans to bring our families here so they can fall in love too but sadly we didn't have the chance to do that. Hopefully this place opens up again or moves to a different location, very much worth it!

I'd like to give this place a higher rating, but I just can't. Every time I've been here, I was rudely served. The food is good; they make their own tortillas. The portions are pretty big and the setting is very typical of a mexican restaurant. It's the service that makes me cringe. I've tried this place at least 4 different times throughout the year and every time I had terrible service. By terrible service, I mean the waitress was not nice when taking the order, not getting the order completely correct, not checking on us periodically, and not smiling. Several times, I recall having to flag our waitress down and asking for more chips or salsa or a drink refill. I hope the owner reads these reviews. I am not the only one complaining about the poor service.

Update 10/27/2017 They must have gotten their problems straightened out because the food and service were spot on tonight. Glad to see it vack in order as it was one of our favorite places to go. My chicken fajita nachos were to die for.....again! July 17, 2017!!! Do not go here until they solve their employee shortage. Food is horrible and service is terrible. I'm not sure what has happened but this used to be one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. If they still have the "help wanted" sign on their door, don't go in!!! Update July 2018 Sorry to say it has burned to the ground. I don't know what happened but sad to see it gone.

I came in on a Thursday evening about 5:30. We got chips and salsa right off the bat but then were completely ignored by the single taciturn waitress for 30 minutes. We had to flag her down to place an order, and for refills. We were never checked on by the waitress' own choice. Service, in summation, was freaking atrocious. Our food came an hour later. It was delicious- just inexplicably long in prep. It wasn't a busy night at all for them, there were only 2 tables besides us. Who knows why the service was so bad. Needless to say I won't be going back. Sure, the food was great- but not worth going through the bad service and waiting to get to. Not with all the other great Tex-Mex in this area.

The restaurant is under new management and there have been SO MANY improvements! The food is super delicious! The restaurant is now cleaner and there are new waitresses who are really friendly! I absolutely enjoy the vibe the restaurant gives off! SO MANY improvements and much better quality in everything!

I will never dine there again Anyone that is not white or Mexican I strongly recommend that you don't dine in I've placed 2 to go orders and everything was fine. So decided to take my family in for a family dinner and it was horrible customer service trash the cook was rude I had a e-certificate and when I said it cook took my e-certificate to the back came back and said it was no good I had to call from my phone the number that was on e-certificate and show him that it was real oh I almost forgot the hot tamales trash I have some look like crap so I told him I didn't want it long story short I'll never be gone. The food was ok.. Our waitress was good as well even though she had to call the manager/owner on almost every question that we had. The part I didn't like is this Manager/owner refusing to honor Groupon.. he was adding some limitations that are not listed on Groupon like, dining limit and date of purchase.. He blamed it on Groupon and didn't want to back down on it.. Not even an apology. He said, come back another day and use that Groupon 😚 He didn't seem worried when I told him I'll have to put up my review on this.
