Danbi Korean Restaurant - Review - Japantown - San Jose - The Infatuation

"We love this low-key Korean joint for its classic soups and stews. You’ll find plenty of dishes that expertly balance spicy and sweet, like spicy fried chicken, stone pot dol sot, and budae jjigae with a broth studded with spam and American cheese. The well-lit dining room is pretty plain, but it’s large enough that you’re likely to find a table any time of day." - Shoshi Parks

It's a solid choice if you're craving Korean food and are nearby. The service is quick, attentive, and friendly. Their menu features most dishes commonly found in Korean restaurants. The food is not particularly remarkable; it has seasoning and flavor but nothing exceptional. Finding a parking spot may be tricky since it's on the first street. I suggest heading directly to the parallel streets to park and walking a little, so you don't waste time and can enjoy the scenery.

The food was truly amazing and had lots of flavor. The customer service was even better. I had the rice cakes and soy glazed fried chicken and they were both delicious. Can’t wait to come back and try other things from the menu!

🥩 The Food: I was pretty let down by the food here. The short ribs were a huge disappointment. These are supposed to be tender and fall off the bone, but instead, they were extremely chewy and tough. For the price, I expected much better quality. The bulgogi was dry and lacked the rich, savory sauce that normally makes it shine. It ended up bland and forgettable. The potstickers were the one redeeming item — crispy, hot, and probably the best part of our meal, but that’s not saying much. 🛎️ The Service: The service was fairly quick, but it didn’t stand out. The staff brought things out efficiently, but the energy felt a bit rushed, and they didn’t check in much. 🥗 The Sides: The banchan (Korean side dishes) were disappointing. Very minimal portions for just two people, and nothing memorable. 💰 The Verdict: For the price, I left feeling like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Between the chewy short ribs, dry bulgogi, and sparse sides, this just wasn’t a satisfying meal. The potstickers were solid, but that’s not enough to bring me back. There are definitely better Korean options out there.

FIVE BIG BOOMS!! A hidden treasure here in sj—I have been scouring for some meat jun high and low since returning from a trip and Danbi did not disappoint!! 10/10. The staff were super nice and welcoming and the meat jun was amazing!! I drove 45 minutes just for this experience #worthit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.

Google
Food is ok, not that you will comeback for. I feel this is too expensive for such portion. You can go to an AYCE with the $. Service ok, they will check on you if they have time. Clean, but there's unknown strong smell upon entry.

Google
Danbi Korean Restaurant delivered a serene and flavorful dining experience with the Old Style Bulgogi soup, packed with authentic Korean flavors and perfectly cooked glass noodles. The meat was incredibly juicy, and the generous portion size ensured delicious leftovers that reheated beautifully on the stovetop. This spot is a must-visit for anyone craving hearty and flavorful Korean comfort food!

Google
My favorite Korean spot in San Jose! I feel grateful that I don't have to go to Santa Clara or Sunnyvale to get my dolsot bimbimbap or yukaejang! The service is also super awesome, kind and generous. This has been my go-to spot for years. So happy they are open and serving awesome Korean food. This coming from a Korean girl who grew up eating her mom's and grandma's home cooking!

Yelp
pros: -parking in front and on the side -close to other eateries and to the County building -lots of authentic Korean dishes -lots of seating -fast service cons: -none

Yelp
We have been going to a restaurant next door for several years and always thought we should come here and finally it happened! Very welcoming staff quickly brought out menus, hot tea and water. They also carry soju in case you are interested. We got meat Jun- thinly sliced, perfectly seasoned beef in crispy on the outside and soft pancake inside. delicious! Osam Bulgogi with squid and pork was amazing. Squid was so well done, people with us that didn't like squid lapped it up. Perfectly done squid, pork was nicely spiced. Spicy rice cake with cheese had good quantity of fish cakes and perfectly chewy and soft tteok-bokki. Pro tip: order a side of rice and spoon over the cheesy sauce and enjoy! Delicious! The Banchans were a little underwhelming. There are other places around the Bay Area that offer more number of side dishes, that are varied and are provided in good quantity. That kimchi is really good though! Heavier on gochugaru just the way I like it.. All in all - will be back to try fried chicken and beef short ribs and stone pot bowls and soups.

Yelp
First the banchan was fire. Signs of a good Korean restaurant. The Korean auntie told us that they make it in house as she gave us refills of our favs that we cleared out I got the kalbi tang & my partner got the yuk gae jang-- both slapped. Great broths here so I feel like their soups are really the best items (haven't tried the other stuff but I def wanna come back). The sweetest women running the place

Yelp
Danbi is my go to for its authentic Korean stir-fried sautéed dishes its hot stone pot is my favorite serve with six side dishes commonly known as banchan and yes it comes with refills and very generous as they are. Been coming down here for the past nine years and the ladies are so wonderful, friendly and will come around if I need refills e.g water, side dishes all I can say service has been top notch. What I order on thd menu #32 hot stone pot rice topped with beef, veggies and egg generous portion a healthy meal so enriching and simply fulfilling. Interior is quite spacious a gathering place to dine-in with friends and families for a get together. Ample parking either on the side street or behind the building shared with surrounding business right next door to Bad Boys Bail Bond.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Danbi for dinner! Two of us ordered: -large terra $10.95 -seafood pancake $20.95 -bibimbap $16.95 -beef soft tofu $17.95 Unfortunately, not sure if AC equipped, definitely hot inside, had ceiling fans running. The big highlight was the seafood pancake. One of the best I've ever had. Crispy and filled with lots of seafood! I personally ordered the beef soft tofu, and it was great flavor and good size. Easy parking in the plaza. Staff here is extremely friendly...and their English is very good! Definitely will be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
Same great service: Fast, friendly, attentive. Same awesome food: mostly favorites and a new ones (Chicken Soft Tofu.) All of the dishes came out piping hot and fairly close together. Everything is clean and there is ample parking in the rear.

Yelp
truly delicious authentic korean food! we came for dinner and there was no wait, we ordered the kimchi jjigae, bulgogi fried rice, and the hot stone bibimbap. everything was super tasty and the side dishes it came with were pretty good as well. the bulgogi fried rice was my fav as it was perfectly seasoned and the ratio of everything was good and it had bits of crispy rice! the soup was hot and came with udon and rice cake and more. more on the sour side but i personally like that. i would highly recommend checking this place out

Yelp
I was able to reserve 2 long tables for my coworkers and surprised the place didn't fill up for lunch hour! Service staff is nice and also there are a wide variety of menu offerings that would please both those new to Korean food and those who are experienced. I also appreciate several dishes had option to choose tofu as protein - it helps vegetarian eaters be able to have Korean food. I got the dol sot bap (hot stone pot rice) that comes with beef by default but you can choose other proteins. The pot is hot enough to do the crispy rice which means the dish passed the test. Banchan were diverse and pretty solid! There was almost everything you could want - kimchi, radish kimchi, cucumber kimchi, bean sprouts, etc My coworkers got many things such as the stir fry and bulgogi and kalbi. It looked like everyone enjoyed their meal so we will have to add this to our lunch rotation. Parking is a bit limited but there is a small lot a little bit down the street next to the restaurant. Would recommend carpool if possible. Luckily I had street parking in front of restaurant.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 AMAZING korean food!! The staff is super nice especially the owner! She was super sweet and checked on us during the meal. Had great conversations with her and even saw her cutting meat for the table next to us! Restaurant is clean and wide variety in menu. We ordered the: - Spicy Rice Cake: rice cakes were perfectly chewy and sauce had a good spice to it - Seafood Pancake: crispy at the bottom and good amount of seafood! my favorite! - Beef Soft Tofu Soup: so much tofu and beef! and it comes with an egg you can crack in! Side dishes were also good especially the kimchi! Will definitely come back when I want Korean food!
google avatar

Yelp
The service was great. The main course comes with a lot of side dishes and they're always the best part cuz they're unlimited. I wanted something light and easy so I took the vegetable pancakes which was super delicious. The quantity is definitely a lot. There are plenty of seating and the place looks better inside than it does outside. I would go again cuz everything I tried was so delicious. I wanna try their soups next.

Yelp
My husband was craving meat jun tonight and he went on a search for it! He stumbled across this via a quick yelp search and man oh man am I SO glad he did! We were greeting by a sweet aunty who was running around making sure we got seated and taken care of. The restaurant was pretty full-which was pleasant to see. Our order was taken and within 10 minutes it came out piping hot and delicious looking. The staff was so efficient! There were on 2 servers and 1 person busing and if was so impressive how well they were taking care of everyone with such a small staff. The food was so good and I was so happy to have what tasted like a homemade meal. The dumplings were big, juicy, and tasted like they were made in the back! The meat jun's seasoning was top tier. And the kimchi was the perfect amount of tangy and crunchy for my taste. The ban Chan sides were so yummy we demolished the entire meal and can't wait to go Back!
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
This is a pretty cute restaurant with a homey feel to it. They had a large variety of side dishes including acorn jelly which isn't usually offered at other Korean restaurants. I also liked the kimchi and bean sprouts. My favorite item that we ordered was the seafood pancake which was perfectly crispy and had a good ratio of seafood. The seafood tofu soup was just okay. The hot stone bowl was quite good but could have had more beef--also the rice could've had a better sear!
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
The food was superb! It was all of our first time eating here and the flavor was on point for all of the dishes we ordered. The banchans were super yummy, too. Minus one star for the service. It took awhile to get our water refilled even though we asked a few times. We came on a Saturday evening and it could be that there's only 2 people for front of house during the busy hours, hence why our refills took awhile. This place had lots of tables and very spacious! We got seated right away and didn't even need a reservation.
google avatar

Kathryn N.

Yelp
Ordered a few more items here like the kimchi fried rice and seafood pancake. I really liked the seafood pancake! Would definitely reorder in the future. I wasn't a big of the kimchi fried rice though. The rice is overcooked and too soft for my personal preference but I know that some people do like it that way

Yelp
I've been coming to this korean food spot ever since opening day when i first found it. The restaurants original owner had sold their business, however their new owner still maintains great flavors and consistent recipes as the beginning. I'm really picky when it comes to korean food, but always return to this spot with my sister as it is our favorite. We normally order their army stew (budae jjigae), as well as their hot stone pot. I defiantly recommend both these dishes as they're great in flavor. Their soft tofu stew is also a must! The restraunt owner works almost everyday, and always provides the best service. She's very quick and attentive with her customers and somehow always keeps the restraunt clean even when she has a dinner rush. Overall love her and love this food! will always recommend to anyone craving korean cuisine!
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty Korean food near the SJC airport. I'm from Hawaii so had to try their meat jun. Nicely sized portion, tender meat, and thin flavorful breading that didn't need the dipping sauce. My wife and daughter shared their cheese dol sot that comes in a hot stone pot and sizzling with cheese. A delicious comfort food that we could not stop eating! Service was welcoming and kind, and there's tons of seating. Parking is in a lot out back. If I had a minor gripe that is not their fault, it's located next to a bail bonds place, so a certain type of people were hanging outside and yelling at us as we left. But otherwise a very enjoyable Korean restaurant that I'd highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away which was nice and the place was spacious. I was going to order the tofu soup because that is my typical go to dish at Korean restaurants aside from galbi ribs. However, this time I decided to try the Old Style Bulgogi which did not disappoint. The soup was soo nice with the onions. Beef and noodles were good, though I wish there were more noodles. Don't think enough was given. Would recommend though and definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
The workers here are very friendly, I managed to snag street parking outside Danbi and ordered a beef sundubu jjigae and vegetable pancake to split with a friend. I loved the broth and the amount of beef that they put inside it is pretty substantial! Vegetable pancake is pretty decent, I'm not the biggest fan of it as a dish but I can admit that it was breaded/fried really well and the veggies were yummy too. The kimchi banchan were also really delicious as well, I finished all of mine and even asked for seconds. It's always exciting to try and support a mom and pop Korean restaurant in South Bay!
google avatar

Tina K.

Yelp
What a yummy Korean spot! Street parking was available within a block. We walked in and didn't have a wait - it's a pretty large open restaurant. Service was good and their menu has all the favs and some unique variations. 5 stars for the service, the short ribs, the vegetable pancake (drooooling), and all of the banchan. 4ish stars for the soy glazed fried chicken - they were good but just tasted like regular chicken wings.
google avatar

Gabe Y.

Yelp
Its been a while since I have had a good Korean fried chicken wing. This is the spot to go! I got it spicy and it was both moist and crunchy. The meat itself was flavorful with the marinade, not just the breading was flavorful. All their side dishes tasted very fresh. During the summer, they also had a special of Mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles). My partner loved it as it was perfect for a hot day. Be warned, this is a very large portion. I wouldn't suggest getting an appetizer with this dish because its so much food. The service staff were so nice and helpful and I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Sandy Q.

Yelp
I was meeting up with 2 ex-coworkers for lunch and one of them recommended this restaurant. It was a Saturday and the place wasn't busy. We ordered gyoza, seafood pancake, tofu soup, and kalbi. I thought the food was just okay. The seafood pancake was kinda of bland and the shrimp that was in the soup didn't taste fresh. I did like the gyoza due to its crispy wrapper. Unfortunately, I didn't try the kalbi because I don't eat beef. Prices are somewhat high.

Yelp
Just wanted to give an update - seven years later and this place STILL rocks. Delicious! Seriously, it's hard to find a place that can be consistently good over the years. This is more of a traditional Korean restaurant rather than the Korean BBQ option that is all the rage now in 2024.

Nhi C.

Yelp
Food: the meat Jun was different and interesting...it was one of my favorite plates here Tofu soup was not so great, I wouldn't order it again Fried chicken (soy glazed sauce) was over fried, I'd pass Spicy pork was decent Banchan were decent My favorite was their japchae, was bit oily, but very flavorful Service: good Would I come back? NOPE. We came here with 4 people and a baby in a carriage. When the check came, the 20% tip was automatically marked. There were like 3 tables eating at the time in the restaurant. Not sure why we were forced to pay a 20% tip. Ridiculous. My first and last time. Sad.

Jasmine B.

Yelp
Kimchi Fried Rice - Very yummy! Exactly what you would expect from kimchi fried rice Soy Garlic wings - sauce was delicious and the meat was good ramen with rice cakes - this was not good. i think it was shin ramen lol Not worth the price at all. the rice cakes were not tteokbeoki rice cakes they were really small and superrrrr thin (like as thick as a piece of cardboard. service was good and what u would expect, not bad but not amazing servers know korean and english the ambiance was ur average korean restaurant but it was nice seeing a group of older korean men bonding and laughing together
google avatar

Trung N.

Yelp
Excellent food with kind and friendly service. The meat jun is flavorful with excellent texture. Honestly I can't think of much else to say except it was a nice experience and the food was good.
google avatar

Xiaochen Y.

Yelp
There is not enough people to serve at all. The service is really bad! And, the beef tastes wired! Pretty bad dinner experience
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
Met with long lost friends. We were supposed to go to Henry-hi life, so glad we decided to go here instead. The atmosphere was nice (music was just right), bathroom is decent (didn't like the fact that they only had blower no option for towel, don't like touching the door handle). The food was delicious! And they had meat-jun, it was delicious as expected (introduce friends to it, they too loved it). The banchan/side dishes were great selection, the kimchi and that white jello looking) was my favorite.
google avatar

Kris G.

Yelp
In a pinch or with time always a go to. It does have a lot of bells and whistles, just quick served good food. There are fancier places and even tastier places, however if you want something straight down the middle than Danbi is perfect. The service was quick and good. Everything is clean inside and spacious.
google avatar

Bella L.

Yelp
Danbi has always been on our regular lunch rotation when we'd go to the office regularly. I have been here several times and it never disappoints. Service is efficient and friendly. This last visit I enjoyed osam bulgogi which was a combination of seafood (calamari) and pork stir-fried with a sweet/slightly spicy sauce. It was excellent and really hit the spot. The meats and vegetables were all perfectly cooked. I always enjoy their fresh kimchi. It's my favorite of all the Korean restaurants. There is street parking out front & a side parking lot.
google avatar

Joanne N.

Yelp
Great option for some comfort korean food! I found this place on yelp because the army stew looked delicious so I had to go try. This place has a small parking lot on the side and also has street parking. I was able to easily find street parking right in front which was convenient. Its a cozy restaurant, nothing fancy. We ordered the meat jun, kimchi and cheese dolsot, and budae jigae (army stew). The worker was super nice and attentive to us. The food was quick to come. My favorite was definitely the meat jun. It was so unique and they dont have it at a lot of korean places, so I was so happy they had it. It was so flavorful and good texture. The kimchi and cheese dolsot was pretty good. It was kimchi rice and cheese mixed together in a stone pot. You can't go wrong with that! The budae jigae was smaller than I expected but still good. It was typical and nothing too special. Overall a good spot for korean food.

Yelp
We found Danbi Korean via Yelp after visiting the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. We don't come to San Jose that often so we're unfamiliar with the dining scene. One thing that's consistent is that our picky 3yo almost always enjoys Korean cuisine. Maybe its something about the way the meat is prepared, with a nice balance of sweet and savory. Danbi is a huge restaurant and on a Friday afternoon was nearly packed with the lunchtime crowd. Our food cane out reasonably fast, which was a plus. We ordered: Meat Jun is an awesome appetizer. Thin strips of marinated beef coasted in eggy breading and lightly fried. I have not had this dish in East Bay Korean restaurants and was surprised how good it was. 5 stars. Bibimbap in a hot stone bowl was good, though portions are smaller than what we've had in the East Bay. 3 stars. Galbi Tang (short rib soup) was a solid dish with a pleasant light broth and glass noodles. It tastes even better when mixed with rice. 4 stars.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Wow, this meal left me feeling happy and kept thinking about the experience for days after! Everything was delicious and made with the most important ingredient, LOVE. HAHA so cheesy but it's true. The aunties here are so nice and sweet. Can park on street or parking on the left side of the bail bond next door. Can't wait to dine again :)
google avatar

Selena S.

Yelp
Ordered the yukgaejang, and though it's made well, there's nothing too special about it. It's also not very spicy unfortunately. It's a decent option if you're in the area, but with the stiff competition in the bay, i think you can find better. they offer a couple different versions of it. you can get a classic yukgaejang with glass noodle, or with udon if you'd like. The owner is very kind, as is the rest of the staff. the place wasn't too busy on a saturday evening, but it was decent nonetheless. i don't think i will be back though.
google avatar

Katherine T.

Yelp
This is my second time at this restaurant and I actually unknowingly ordered the same thing both times haha. I got the Doenjang-jjigae which was perfect for the slightly chilly evening. It was a little bit salty, but I didn't mind it too much and it had all the things i love in a stew: noodles, ricecakes, tofu, and napa cabbage! The restaurant is pretty big inside, so no need to wait. Service is pretty good and menu is large, so lots of variety of options to choose from.
google avatar

Joanne L.

Yelp
I missed Korean food from back in OC, and this reminds me of just that! The seafood pancake is hands down one of the best ones I've tried in the bay- so packed with seafood and chives, fluffy + thick, and crispy on the outside! It was exactly what I needed. The seafood tofu soup was authentic and reminds me of my favorite childhood meals. We came in near closing but they were nice enough to serve us and let us take our time eating. The seafood pancake is on the pricier end, but it was so big I'd say it's worth the price. Will be coming back next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Learnee L.

Yelp
Last minute decision to get late lunch/early dinner. We were around the area so Yelp brought us to this place. Not surprisingly the place was empty since it was late lunch and early dinner time. The staff was very nice. We both ordered bibimbap. I had to say it was a disappointment. It wasn't warm enough so the toasty rice at the bottom wasnt there. I think that's the best part of the dish. The flavor was there but it was not exciting. Menu price was decent. Sufficient parking on the side of the building available.
google avatar

Irene L.

Yelp
Super close to home so excited how convenient it is to get here. There's a parking lot to the left side if you can't find street parking up in front. From the outside, it doesn't look like much but once you go in, it's a large restaurant with plenty of seating. For 2, we ordered: - kalbi tang: 5/5 - very flavorful & comforting to have on a cold night - beef short ribs: 5/5 - these have got to be the meatiest short ribs I've ever had from a restaurant, some pieces were slightly burnt - seafood pancake: 5/5 - crunch crunch CRUNCH, yum! More on the battier end but love how loaded it was, super generous on the seafood Service was good, servers were attentive and checked up on us several times. I enjoyed all the dishes and it was even better to have leftovers to eat for another meal. However, it did put a dent in the wallet, dinner for 2 came out about $86 excluding tip.

Yelp
Chilly evening- Perfect time for liquid K-yum! As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted with a smile, menu and a table. She also asked if we needed any help with ordering; luckily we didn't! Two soups were piping hot and tasty. Yook gae jang was stronger than the Galbi tang IMO. We got the seafood pancake which was perfect beginning - crispy enough with good amount of seafood goodness. I got the stone pot I must say that it was on fire the spicy stone pot was lit! It was soooo goooood, it was just boiling, the rice was on the bottom just crisping up, it is for those who are patient. (Not me) We would not recommend the fried rice - not that it was bad but just meh compared to all the other options there. Ambiance? Pretty spartan. I appreciate the focus on the food and service. Bathroom was sufficient.

Yelp
Not a lot of Korean restaurants have Meat Jun on their menu and that makes Danbi even more special. Meat Jun - 5/5 Seafood Pancake - 5/5 Jap Chae - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Cleanliness - 5/5 Parking - 4/5

John R.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the service was good, and the ambiance was great. I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
Was really craving some tofu stew and this place did not disappoint. The sides were fresh and the potatoes were really tasty, I'd never had potatoes like that at a Korean restaraunt, like they were brined in a sesame soy bath or flavor
google avatar

Madeleine Y.

Yelp
My family always loves coming here for some good Korean food and it did not disappoint! We came here around 6pm on a Saturday night and we got seated right away! Seafood pancake - so fluffy and flavorful, loved the amount of toppings and perfectly crispy on the outside; definitely get this! Spicy pork - very tender and flavorful; great portion Beef Jun - so tasty and always one of my favorites; very flavorful and perfect egg-to-meat ratio Short Rib Soup - meat was tasty but wish there was more for the cost; the bone broth was so good though and we took the rest home Service was great! They offered to keep refilling our ban chan and overall great experience. Will definitely continue to come back here!

Yelp
Danbi has that "authentic" Korean restaurant feel. The classic menu look. The beer selection in the glass fridge in the back. The seats and tables. Throw in the Ajuma helping serve the patrons. Pretty neat, miss these kinds of Korean restaurants. Almost feels like K-Town back in LA. That said, my experience did feel like something was a bit lacking. Ample parking in the small parking lot adjacent to the bail bonds shop right next door, parking is easy for a DTSJ location. Street parking also shouldn't be too difficult either. But back to the food. Food was fine. Food was actually pretty good. I'm quite disappointed in their seafood pancake though. The seafood pancake was wayyy too greasy and left an off putting after taste that just felt like a mouth full of grease/ vegetable oil. I actually had to order a beer (didn't actually plan to) in order to cut through the grease taste. It didn't really work, but the beer was good! Their other foods were pretty good, but seafood pancake is a classic, why does it taste like it was marinated in vegetable oil? Service was pretty good for a busy and packed restaurant for Wednesday dinner service. Overall, Danbi was a good experience and I'd visit again. Probably just do a kim chi pancake rather than the seafood pancake.

Lyna T.

Yelp
First time here and it was hard to find parking unless you parked on the street. The restaurant is family owned and it was spacious. We came here on a Friday night so it was quite busy and the workers tried their best to serve every table. We ordered kimchi fried rice, short ribs, and potstickers. The food came out quick with banchan. It was my friend's first time eating Korean food and she enjoyed it. The restaurant closes at 9 so last call is before 8:30 PM. Overall, it was a good experience and the workers were friendly, but the food was pricey.

Yelp
My friends and I visited on a Friday night and were seated immediately. I was looking forward to this place since I saw so many positive reviews, but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype for me. We ordered the army stew (buddae jigae), seafood pancake, and the garlic soy chicken wings. Everything was honestly very mediocre -- the army stew soup base tasted a bit light and watery, but I liked the variety of ingredients that were included. The seafood pancake was 70% batter and was overpowering the actual seafood bits. The chicken wings were just okay, nothing amazing. Overall I wasn't super impressed with the food, but staff were friendly and the environment of the restaurant was clean, tidy, and spacious. Not sure if I would come again, but still glad I was finally able to try it out.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday night and though the place wasn't packed it was pretty busy. There's plenty of parking in the lot on the side and there's also street parking right in front of the restaurant. We got a stone pot, soy glazed fried chicken, seafood pancake. I loved the soy glazed fried chicken, the flavor was on point and it was nice and crispy. The stone pot was delicious - can't miss with this one. The seafood pancake was a little bit on the bland side but I loved how crispy it was. The service was quick and nice. It didn't take long for us to get our food. Overall, I was quite happy with this meal!

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been back and realized I've never given Danbi a review. One of my favorite Korean spots in SJ. My favorite menu item?... meat Jun! All the texture and flavor I was craving for. Can't be in LA for Broken Mouth? This'll do and it's right here in the Bay. The danbi fried rice is fire too. Great, friendly service. Come for lunch and there's usually a few parking spots right in front.

Yelp
Chicken wings were the best thing we ordered. Very pleased with how they came out nice and hot. Not too much breading and the flavor was fantastic. I'd come here again just for their wings. Budae jigae/army stew was good as well. I was worried that it would be too big but it was a good size for two-three people to share (if you're eating other dishes too). Not pictured was the bibimbap in the hot stone. It was okay, I've had better but not bad at all!
