"Located a few steps from the Atlanta Beltline, Dancing Goats Coffee Bar feels like the "Cheers" of coffee shops. It was the first business to open at Ponce City Market while the historic building underwent a herculean transformation, and it has since become a favorite hangout for the residents of Old Fourth Ward and Poncey-Highland. Owned by local roaster Batdorf & Bronson, the joint offers all the usual suspects—macchiatos, cappuccinos, lattes, pour overs, cold brew—plus out-of-the-box seasonal creations like, recently, a turmeric-ginger cappuccino." - Jennifer Bradley Franklin

I'm always on the hunt for a cozy Cafe that's close to home to go do some work. The Dancing Goats in Decatur is definitely ideal to meet up with friends or just go by yourself. I like that it's near some good restaurants such as Chai Pani and Farm Burger. If you don't like those restaurants, the cafe is only 3 blocks from the " heart of Decatur " where you will find more restaurants and other stores. Atmosphere: The cafe is much bigger than it seems from the outside. There's different types of sitting from communal tables to comfy single armchairs to high top tables by the windows. There's a comfortable and lively vibe. You will see students and professionals there. Just be for warned that it's not the quietest place to study or work so bring a headphone. You will hear music and a lot of conversations going on. Service: I have never had bad service in there. All the barristas are friendly, nice, and patient, especially Jade! She makes delicious drinks and gives the best customer service. She's very patient when you ask her questions about the drinks. Kudos Jade. Food: I really can't talk much about the food because I only had a bagel. It's just a typical bagel. Nothing fancy. So if you are looking for a comfortable and friendly place to go do some work, hang out, and drink some good coffee, stop by there.

Went there this morning with my husband and daughter. the staff was friendly and attentive and service was fast. We got a latte which my husband enjoyed, a mocha that I liked, and then we got a bagel, scone, and a mini doughnut. The food was good but it is like a do it yourself with warming up and cutting up your own bagel and things. Plenty of seating inside and very spacious and open. The parking lot is also big so plenty of space there as well.

The Dancing Goats Coffee Bar is alright. The environment there is nice, but the actual quality isn’t much to write home about. The latte was okay, not great. The milk foam was kind of sloppy, and the flavor wasn’t amazing. Plus, the food options aren’t spectacular either. You have to heat up the breakfast sandwich yourself. Overall, there are better lattes, from better coffee shops, with better food elsewhere. That being said, it isn’t like Dancing Goat is bad. It just isn’t something to go out of your way for.

A friend and I visited the Dancing Goat for a quick after-lunch snack. When we entered, I noticed the place was much bigger than I expected.  There were a few tables outside, but there were places for indoor seating everywhere. I walked up to the counter and asked the staff member what this specific pastry was behind the glass and the answer was “A DONUT”.   The response was not very warm or descriptive. In fact, I felt it was a little sarcastic.  I ended up ordering the Cherry Scone, which was a little dry and not very sweet.  This place has a cool layout, nice for grabbing some coffee and maybe working remotely.   I will return to try some of their other desserts and coffee choices.

Always really friendly people working here, and the coffee is amazing. It's almost always busy here, and I can see why. It's super chill with good coffee.

Great coffee shop with free parking in the heart of Decatur. Love that they have a spot to leave your pup securely while you grab a drink inside. Staff is very friendly and there are plenty of pastry and snack options.

A nice, spacious atmosphere with coffee and pastries that check all the boxes. We shared a table with some really lovely people that made our experience memorable.

Nice renovation from 3 years ago when I used to come here all the time as a student! They have expanded the indoor seating to where there is plenty of room to sit and study for a while if you so choose. Service is fairly quick, however the coffee and espresso were too acidic for my liking. Sharp aftertaste that stung, and the homemade lavender syrup also did not taste too great.
