"When you’re on vacation, or even just hosting someone who is, you always end up eating meals between meals, having a few extra drinks, and accepting that it’s okay to have dessert twice in one day. But after a few days of that, you’re going to need a reset. When that happens, go to Dandelion Communitea Café. The entire menu at this restaurant and tea house is vegan, gluten free, and healthier than anything you’ve eaten in the past week. Get a salad or tempeh bowl, and while eating here won’t counteract the donuts and pie you ate yesterday, you should feel a little better afterward." - Maddy Zollo Rusbosin

The service was great and the atmosphere is relaxing. We enjoyed about 90 % of what we ordered. The lamb lollipops, mussels, crostini, and sweet potato gnocchi were excellent. Both my husband and I ordered the blackberry old fashioned and neither of us liked it. Additionally, we ordered the brussel sprouts and they were undercooked so none of the 4 of us finished them.

Last night my daughter and I had dinner at Dandelion Market uptown after the Jesse Cook concert at the Booth theater. Hadn’t been there since the Beth Hart concert in 2018. The food is absolutely amazing. Definitely one of my top favorites for quantity, quality, service and price. Highly recommend. She said there’s a club upstairs but we got there after 10 last night and the first floor was almost empty. Food still absolutely brilliant as was the service. She is gluten-free and they had a menu, explaining how they can do gluten-free options where possible. We got the stuffed poblano - to be honest, it’s not one of my favorites, but I tasted it and I wanted more! That the mussels, pork belly, were all gluten-free. The pork belly was absolutely wonderful. It was teeny tiny, sweet for me, but the texture and the portion were beautiful, and I would definitely get that again! She obviously didn’t eat the bread that came with the muscles but I did, and dip it in some sauce that I spooned onto my plate really really good! We ordered the two sliders, and they brought one without bread for the gluten free option - still amazing. Short ribs and fried pickles. Had to be the best short rib app I’ve ever had anywhere. Pickled onions were just perfect. Seriously, as was the gravy. The rib? Literally just melted and it was not strong gravy. Really highly recommend a visit, I promise you would not be disappointed! If anything, they were better this time then they were five years ago, and we loved everything back then.

I took my daughter (10yr old) last night before a show and we both really enjoyed the food. Her favorite was the Mac & Cheese which was fantastic. We also had the fried cauliflower and lamb lollipops, both of which I’d highly recommend. Our server was very polite and attentive, I only wish I remembered his name so I could give him a shout out here. All in all a terrific experience and will definitely be returning!

Love this place! Lot's of benefits to this place. The food comes out fast. No matter what it is. I ordered the fried calamari and OMG!! It was very delicious. It was fried nicely, light and crispy. I felt like I was eating fried chicken, pork rinds, and calamari all in one. It doesn't need seasoning. And if you add a squeeze of lemon juice, OMG amazing! I ordered the pork Belly. The pork belly was okay in my opinion. I don't like sweet sauce and the sauce was a bit too tangy for my liking. But other people may like it. That's just my personal opinion. I ordered the chicken rangoons. They were okay. I needed a bit more seasoning or salt. I ordered the Lamb chops for dinner. And they were amazing! The way they cooked that with a nice crisp and cooked medium rare and the flavor OMG!!! It came with a salad with feta cheese and a vinegarette dressing. I didn't really care for the salad on the side. Normally I would have because of the mixed greens and the feta cheese but I don't like sweet dressing. Overall, a super fantastic place!! I will be back!!

A friend and I decided to eat here after a chaotic day traveling. It was just what we needed. Great food, great service, relaxing atmosphere. We split the lamb, scallops, carrots and risotto, everything was bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. Save room for dessert too!

I’ve been to Dandelion Market in Charlotte, North Carolina a few times now. I always have a good experience every time. The service is great. Our server Caitlyn was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The food is also very good for the price. We shared a bunch of apps this time. I do believe they have some of the best mac & cheese in the city. We also have the mussels that were very good. The red sauce was delicious and it came with bread. The prosciutto and fig crostinis were OK. I don’t think I would order that again. The fries are always good- thin and crispy. They come with ketchup and an aïoli mayo that is really good and different. The wings were also good. Crispy but not saucy. The only negative about that is they had no blue cheese, only ranch. They were still good though. The calamari was also very good. It wasn’t rubbery but lightly fried and crispy and had a good flavor. They also have a pretty good beer list and wine. Another negative is that my wine was warm. One cool thing is they have a bunch of local beers that rotate. I’ll definitely go back to Dandelion for sure!!

Google
So so good! The two of us shared 4 plates and it was more than enough. We especially loved the pork belly and the green beans. Also turns out Tuesday is wine night so they have $15 bottles. Service was great as well. Would definitely return if we come back to the Charlotte area

Visited this restaurant tonight while trying to grab a bite to eat before our play started. The ambience was fantastic. The drinks were good but the spinach artichoke dip was the star of the experience. Definitely will be back again.

Yelp
0 stars The server was rude, that should've been the first red flag. We ordered beach mimosas, they tasted old as of the fruit mix/ juice was rotten. The blueberry cornbread definitely tasted bad. The food came out and my wife's food was burnt and my food was cold. We were excited to try this because we saw the good reviews so we gave it a shot. First impressions are everything. The menu looks great! But the execution and service didn't match up.

Yelp
Lovely spot uptown, go try this Charlotte classic if you haven't before they close this month. The food is tapas style, plenty of cocktails. Around 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. on the weekends it turns into a club upstairs. Ambience downstairs is kind of like a pub, upstairs on the weekend is definitely a vibe. The service for dinner was great.

Jasmine W.

Yelp
I come with a unique perspective since I was here for a generous work dinner, where the host literally ordered everything on the menu ($315). Since we weren't sure what we were getting, we didn't pace ourselves well and were completely stuffed such that we couldn't adequately finish. I did my service by trying a little bit of everything. While everything was tasty, space was open and flexible for both smaller and larger parties (we had a larger party upstairs), here's my ranking, starting from my faves: - deep fried pickles - scallops with corn - Mac n cheese - short ribs - pork belly - broccolini - string beans Service was just ok, not overly impressive - fried cauliflower

Yelp
I just read that Dandelion Market is closing and that is sad because I just discovered it recently. My friend and I met for dinner and drinks before going to a play. The drinks were good and I loved the different mocktail options they had. For dinner I had the spicy green beans and the stuffed pepper. Both were good but I liked the green beans the best. I tired some of my friends mac and cheese and that was also good. Service was good and the atmosphere nice.

Yelp
The Breakfast Nachos are a new menu item and a must-order. Crispy flour tortillas, chorizo, avocado salsa verde, roasted tomato salsa, pickled onions, cilantro cream - all under an egg cooked sunny side up! The Shrimp &Grits are so flavorful! Fried shrimp, bang bang sauce, scallions, bacon, red pepper pico and grits. Might be one of the best Shrimp & Grits I've had. Do you PBlt? Putting a pork belly spin on a BLT - love it. Looking for a lighter fare? Try the Dando Veggie Omlette or the Seared Ahi Salad. And if you're not a fan of meat, the Sweet & Spicy Tofu is a MUST! Tofu, mushrooms, kale, tomatoes, potatoes, and that Szechuan sauce - Trust me, I'm still thinking about it.

Yelp
Came here one rainy Saturday and was not disappointed. It was perfectly cozy- great example of an upscale pub. Downtown but a bit away from the bustle. Parking was not awesome but these days I just suck it up and pay. Walking in around noon and it was not busy. Sat at the bar and was instantly greeted. The server was so friendly and helpful. Started with a coffee because weather. Nice coffee for a pub. The ahi tuna salad was not cheap but it was delicious. Great amount of vinegarette dressing. The macadamia nuts were surprisingly awesome and really added to flavor. They did not skimp on the ahi. Overall a super cute spot for brunch in Charlotte. The drinks looked stellar as well- maybe for another time.

Yelp
My friends and I were on a trip in Charlotte for the weekend and this place came highly recommended so we checked it out and it was amazing. If you haven't been, I highly recommend!! To begin the service was amazing and the food came pretty quick, but while you're waiting you can get drinks of course BUT you also get this delicious blueberry cornbread that comes out with a side of butter that's so yummy. In terms of coffee, not a lot of options - but you can get juice hold the champagne if you'd like and they have a Bloody Mary bar which is pretty cool! My friend who got the Irish coffee said it was pretty good, just a little stronger than she likes. Ok, the food!! They have their lunch menu open during brunch as well - so a couple of my friends got a grilled cheese & tomato soup. The tomato soup was just an ordinary tomato soup but the grilled cheese was really cheesy and gooey!! We also got a few veggie benedicts which had some mixed reviews. One of my friends eggs came hard boiled, but she liked the meal in general - the only thing to note is the mushrooms were a little harder than she's used to but the flavors were good! Finally I got the spanish omelette with a side of fresh fruit. I don't eat chorizo so I asked for it to be replaced with the chicken sausage and it was literally one of the top omelette I've had (and I love eggs!) Finally the inside isn't huge but it's super homey inside and when we got there we had a reservation since we had a large party but doesn't seem like the wait would be super long on a regular weekend. Hope you get to check it out!!

Yelp
We were enjoying ourselves sitting at the bar chatting and having drinks until strangely enough a doorman came by to take our chairs away. But, instead of speaking clearly about why they wanted the chairs, they confused us by simply saying they needed to remove the chairs. To make it worse, we didn't see them asking any other seated patrons this request. To make it even harder to decipher, they were only asking to take away one of our chairs vs. all of them. So our friend who was asked to stand up felt oddly targeted. But we stayed seated. Then, they came by a little later and said they needed our chairs to clear away the bar so that they made room for people to order drinks. But there were no extra folks waiting in the bar for drinks. They moved comfortable customers away from seats to fix a problem that wasn't there. It was a confusing thing to do to patrons. Even the woman next to us was confused as to why she suddenly had to stand. Having been a bartender, I thought this action was poor management by the place. They are just a small bar and restaurant, and their actions really changed the mood of the place. I guess at midnight they change into a less relaxing bar. But, instead of handling disappointed patrons with patience and grace, the doormen acted like children calling a man childish names on their way out. They acted like 7th graders. At the end, I think they showed their true colors. I wouldn't go there again. The food is bad anyways. Maybe next time they can train staff to say, "Hey, sorry to bother you, but we remove all of the bar stools at midnight to make room for late crowds that come in." A professional approach and explanation would have gone a long way.

Yelp
I can't believe I never popped back to write a review for this place! It's delicious. I came here with my friend and husband for brunch a few months back. The whole building and pub feel is cozy aesthetic. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict, in particular. I also had some kind of lemonade cocktail that was good too! 10/10 recommend. We came here kind of randomly on the way to the airport and I would love to go back!

Yelp
I had my first experience at Dandelion Market and it was nothing short of amazing. I always do my research before I visit a restaurant and they met my full expectation. I called in advance to see if they were busy and the team member kindly let me know I would be okay to sit as a party of 1 once I arrived. There was no wait and my server was very quick to greet me. She was attentive and I didn't have to wait for a thing! I started with the Prosciutto Crostini which was made to perfection. So many different flavors that met the taste buds. The prosciutto was crispy yet soft. I then had the BBQ Short Rib which was tender and flavorful. I finished with the Sausage Stuffed Poblano which was also a nice touch even with the Sausage Stuffed Poblano. The drink that i had was called the Twinkle Toes which was strong and tasty just like I like it. I will most definitely return!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Even better than I remembered! The service was great and food arrived quickly. We appreciated that they were generous with extra bread and tortillas. Green beans were excellent, meat and cheese plate was great, the kale salad was well plated and flavorful, but the short rib stole the show! Great vibe on a Sunday afternoon - they played romantic music that helped make it the perfect date spot. I'd love to visit and order the menu for $300 one day!

Avery R.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Great service. Ambiance is impeccable. Restaurant is a little dark, but that doesn't bother me. Try the mac & cheese -- you won't regret it!

Veronica C.

Yelp
Food: lamb chops were okay, on the sweet side and lacking flavor. Muscles were the best out of the 3 dishes. The sauce was a perfect dipping pair for the bread. Pork belly: way too sweet, it def had flavor but for me the sweetness was overpowering. Service was good, she was attentive and food came out fast. Ambiance was decent. Parking: be aware they do not have any parking nor validate. The parking next door was about $11 for an hour and a half but there aren't that many places that are already reserved. On a rainy day, the parking situation is not ideal.

Sherri Y.

Yelp
Came here before a concert in Charlotte and loved it! Small plates were great for sharing without getting over stuffed. Setting was intimate but casual. Wait staff was AMAZING! Will define back again!

Abby R.

Yelp
We visited Dandelion Market on a Thursday night around 9pm, it wasn't very busy. The location was close and convenient, food was amazing and decent pricing, drinks were scrumptious, staff were great. The whole vibe of the spot was chill and casual. I got calamari, my friend got prosciutto crostinis, and my boyfriend got the beef sliders. We also drank chocolate martinis, whiskey sours and red wine (I think it was Malbec?). I also heard they clear the middle of the floor out to make room for a dance floor, sounds fun ;)

Mary E.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I have never been able to actually eat at Dandelion Market. Twice I have stopped in to try and have had very different experiences both times. The first was a few years ago and the place was packed. I thought, "good for them!" and noted to plan my visit more strategically for next time. The second time I went it was earlier in the day and the place was pretty empty. Nobody ever came by to take a drink order or acknowledge us after we were sat (small group of 2). We thought maybe we had missed a memo - maybe you order at the counter or bar? Nope, just no help to be found in sight. We ended up walking out and finding something else. One day I will get to Dandelion Market, but for now I remain disappointed.

Jessica C.

Yelp
We stopped in for a late-night snack and opted for the calamari. It was pretty delicious, nicely fried with lemon and a creamy sauce for dipping. Service was fantastic. We would definitely come back for a full meal.

Pamela F.

Yelp
Food is delicious - we enjoy going to the Dandelion Market whenever we are Uptown for a concert or play. However, please consider ordering a bottle of wine rather than by the glass as the standard amount poured seems to have shrunk ( from 5 oz. to 4 oz. ) A bottle holds 5 5oz. glasses. The bar man was rather curt when I asked him about the amount. Too busy chatting with friends.

Jenna M.

Yelp
The food was delicious! It is structured more like a European restaurant where you order a few small plates of different things and share it with your table. It's a great opportunity to explore some food a little outside your comfort zone! Our server, Jerry, was excellent, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She gave some great recommendations for us since it was our first time. Our favorites were the Cauliflower Fritters and the Arugula Salad. The only thing that could've been better were the desserts, we just had higher expectations after tasting the main menu items.

Teresa M.

Yelp
Came for brunch and really enjoyed it! The waiter was very friendly, food was awesome and I like the small plates because you can try different items and don't get over stuffed. That blueberry cornbread still has my mouth watering!! Like that it is downtown but on a side street with a parking deck next door! Will definitely be back!!

K T.

Yelp
Great place. I've been many times and always delicious. I would not recommend the chicken wontons. The scallops are good but would be better if they didn't come on top of the creamed corn (odd choice). I do recommend the charcuterie and the spinach artichoke dip and poblano pepper with chorizo. The salted caramel brownie with ice cream was fantastic. Hoping one day they add a mocktail menu.

Bruce A.

Yelp
Menu is amazing! I think it's a hidden gem. But try for yourself.next time I will try the muscles.

Ki W.

Yelp
My team had dinner with clients last night and everything about our experience was great. They were the one place that could host a group of our size at pretty much the last minute. The staff for kind, funny, helpful, and attentive. Everyone enjoyed the food and the drinks were tasty. Our clients were still talking about the experience today during meetings which is always a good sign.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
Service was amazing, she was also very friendly! Good and drinks were great! Overall good portion sizes. No complaints

Sophia J.

Yelp
It's been months since I've been here but I still think about the macaroni and cheese. I think it's the best I've ever had! My boyfriend and I also enjoyed the roasted carrots.

Sidney M.

Yelp
Their tapas menu have items that are enough for a meal. The atmosphere is bar like but funky our server allowed us to stay for 30 minutes after my bill was paid without harassing us Enjoyed the food and ambiance

Krissy W.

Yelp
Stopped by this place for a drink after work on a Thursday and was delightfully surprised. It's got a cute old pub feel inside. The bartender was absolutely amazing! His drinks did not miss and he had great suggestions. We had cocktails and two shots and everyone sitting at the bar was super friendly and kind. I will definitely be back.

Jewel P.

Yelp
really good ambiance, delicious food. good portion for the price and it's all shareable. really sweet staff

Caitlin E.

Yelp
I came here while on a business trip and sat at the bar by myself. The service was fast and friendly. The food was INCREDIBLE. I would definitely come back. It's a little on the noisier side so it wouldn't be good for a date but great place for a group of friends or to grab a quick bite at the bar.

Philip D.

Yelp
Staff doesn't seem motivated. They have a very angry and intimidating security guard literally blocking the entrance most nights.. there's nothing friendly or appealing about this place.

William B.

Yelp
Great service and the best French fries I've ever had! And I didn't want fries but my lady did! The pub food was good!

Dania H.

Yelp
The food is good but many dishes are always out of stock. They should do a good inventory before opening.

Michelle Q.

Yelp
Everything was so good! They serve their dishes in small plates, and the prices are decent. My favorites were the sliders, the Mac n cheese, and the crème brûlée. My friend was raving about the short ribs she got and had me try them. They were very tasty and savory. The food was well presented and the drinks were good. The service was good too. I was very happy we went here tonight.

Qi H.

Yelp
Made reservations but stopped by early and they were able to seat us! I was quite happy about that and we ate quite a few things but i particularly liked the braised short rib and the pork belly. The drinks were also very delicious and the service staff was very helpful and nice. Would come back again!

Camille R.

Yelp
Run there!! Everything at our table was delicious! Perfect for sharing. Cauliflower Fritters, Sweet Potato gnocchi, Arugula watermelon salad! The fries were everything!! The Cherry glazed lamb lollipops were my favorite yum. My only complaint was filling up before trying the desserts. Next time! Our cozy table was full. The service was great! I would have posted a picture if we didn't dig in so quickly. I would stop here again next time I'm in Charlotte.

Patricia J.

Yelp
A good local bar with quick service. Good for a weeknight bite. The Sunday Bloody Mary bar does not seem as robust as I remember, so was disappointed by that, but food was tasty and generously portioned.

Amara G.

Yelp
Great service, small tables but great ambiance ! Excellent food We recommend the mac and cheese or friend pickles ! The mixed drinks were also superb, we recommend the lemon pound cake if you like sweet drinks that don't taste too strong. We've been here several times and will return.

Eva D.

Yelp
stopped by dandelion market for the first time today on a rainy day. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was so delicious and perfect for this weather. the atmosphere was very homey and warm with the music they were playing. Our waitress, Tatiana was so welcoming and attentive and so inspiring. I will definitely come back here.

Karla F.

Yelp
My friends and I were so excited about this new place that (re)opened near where we live! DM operated before any in our group lived in Charlotte, shut down during the pandemic I think, and came back! When I stepped in, it was like deja vu. Apparently I had been here before, like 10 years ago after a Panthers game, and only remember a large wooden table being suspended from the floor to allow room for a dance floor haha. Apparently the club is still a thing. I digress... The Good: we ordered several shareables and weren't even remotely disappointed in anything. Our favorites were the sliders, mushroom salad, and holy @$&! the ahi freakin tuna. We ordered two of these lol. Cocktails were great as well. Our server, Anna, was fantastic! Attentive without being intrusive, made suggestions, accommodations, and all around on it! Thank you, Anna! The Meh: the girl who was assisting the hostess who seated us was not friendly. No eye contact and did not utter a word the whole time she walked us to our table and set down menus. Every other staff member was great, though. The Bad: nothing on DM! Except that I'm a dingus and didn't take any pics because I have an ADHD squirrel brain and got too distracted by my friends. I love the vibe of this place. Dim, moody, pub-ish. It's how I like it. Since the food and service were so great, it's a no brainer that I'll be back.

James P.

Yelp
We shared many small plates including beet salad, short ribs, pork belly, the sliders, and Mac and cheese. The short ribs were especially good. We finished with brownies a la mode and everyone enjoyed all the dishes!

J T.

Yelp
On a quick business trip to Charlotte recently and met up with a long-time work friend for a drink and a couple of appetizers. While I ordered a standard drink, we ordered fries, beef tacos, and chicken wings to nibble on. All were very well executed, flavorful, and nicely portioned. The fries stood out alongside their Guinness ketchup. Bartender was attentive, even as they became more packed. Will be back on future trips.

Blake R.

Yelp
Not bad but not great. Pretty good food on Applebee's plates. There's definitely something missing if you're looking for a real fine dining experience -- worth going once but probably not worth going back. An interesting mix of small plates with no real direction. The calamari was particularly good, but the rest of the meal was only so-so. Drinks similarly uninspired but definitely nothing was bad.

Susan H.

Yelp
Loved Dandelion Market! The menu is set up so there is truly something for everyone, and you can try several dishes. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Friendly staff, nice ambience, and overall a great place to have as big or small of a meal as you want on a night out.

Ben B.

Yelp
Went to Dandelion like an ordinary night , went to the bathroom and was taken out for reason. A gentlemen kicked me out without reason and proceeded to push me out of the bar . Do not recommend unless you want to not have fun.

Judy B.

Yelp
Small gourmet plates in a casual environment. Started w two great cocktails: California Dreamin' and Mucho Gusto. We then did the Meat & Cheese board, Prosciutto Crostini and Pan Seared Scallops. Each plate had our attention with a mix of texture and flavors. Can't wait to return!

Andell R.

Yelp
This place will make you go broke!! I've walked by this establishment umpteen times but only this week ventured in. It's Wednesday and I've been twice already for the week (Monday & Tuesday). I plan to go Thursday & Friday as well. The soups are ridiculously amazing and the sandwiches are heavenly. A casual chic relaxed environment that feels like the 1940s 50s almost. Please bring a Dandelion to South Charlotte.

Latonya P.

Yelp
MUST GO HERE! Taps style industrial vintage vibe uptown CHARLOTTE spot. So glad we visited on a rainy Saturday night. Parking is a lil tricky so rather than hunt down a meter we parked in the garage next to the restaurant. They have a lower n upper dining room and in the upper room it's cozy booth seating with a very large family size table if you have a large group. The place is dark lol almost so dark we had to use camera light to see the menu - talk about your mood light lol But the food is the real star - order several things since it's all tapas style but we like everything we tried - our fave was the calamari- BEST - I've had and the spicey short rib shredded to use for tacos we also had the sweet potato gnocchi and scallops over a apple/sweet potato hash! Trust me it was all GOOD This will be in regular rotation

Joel Y.

Yelp
Dandelion Market is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. We had the pleasure of dining here after it had been closed for an extended period of time to COVID. I cannot begin to tell you how incredible the food was, and we cannot wait to come back. The scallops and Gouda mac 'n cheese were exceptional. The service was excellent, the new renovations shine, and the restaurant was so clean, the floors literally shined. This restaurant gets my "Million Dollar Review."
