Very disappointing experience at D&K Seafood today.
We bought 1kg of mussels and 1kg of abalone, but the service was extremely rude. A middle-aged female staff member kept shouting at us while serving. After scooping the mussels, she did not drain any water and put them straight into a plastic bag. When we politely asked for a clean outer bag, she refused.
When we got home and opened the bag, the quality was unacceptable.
Most of the mussels had broken shells, and out of 15 intact shells, only 12 actually contained meat. The bag was filled with a large amount of seawater, which clearly made up a significant portion of the weight we paid for.
Poor attitude, poor hygiene, and poor product quality.
Definitely not the standard you would expect from a seafood shop. I won’t be returning.
