I haven’t been here in a little while, but there was a time when my wife and I used to come here a couple of times a month. This is easily one of my favorite spots for dumplings, and I still crave it.
Our go-to order was always the beef and onion dumplings, pan-seared (worth the extra $1 every time). The onion adds so much flavor, and the pan-seared style is just perfect — crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. We’ve never even tried the boiled version because the pan-seared is just that good. My wife did try the shrimp, pork, and Chinese chives once, which was good, but we always came back to beef and onion.
I’ve ordered carry-out from here as well, and it holds up really well. The dumplings are still juicy and delicious, which isn’t always easy to pull off with takeout.
The space itself is small and simple — nothing fancy — just a few tables with napkins and soy sauce. One detail I really appreciate is their chopstick system, where clean chopsticks come out of a machine, which is a nice touch and shows attention to cleanliness.
They also do a good job communicating with customers. You can sign up for text updates, which is helpful since Google hours aren’t always accurate. They’ll let you know if they’re closed or running promotions, which I appreciate.
I don’t live close anymore, but whenever I’m in the area, this is one of the first places I think about. If you love dumplings, this place is absolutely worth going out of your way for.
