Google
I am rating Dang's a solid 5 for their Takeout Food/Service at dinnertime over the past 4+ years. I've ordered a number of dishes, and their Takeout service is dependably quick/timely and the food is hot and fresh. Dang's serves up many tasty dishes; A few personal favorites are, Tom Ka Soup The Emerald Fresh Salad Rolls Pad Thai If you're dining in, I would say the atmosphere is ok, but not special. The Food and Service will make the visit worthwhile though. The staff at Dang's always make me feel welcome and appreciated.

Google
Overall great experience, 2 out of the 3 items were delicious. Service was prompt and friendly, good serving size. When we asked for the spicy sauce rack they came and gave us the hot sauces in tiny plastic containers for in-restaurant seating, so much plastic waste. Recommend to change to a reusable spice sauce rack.

Birthday lunch with friends. We shared 3 dishes, Lemon Chicken, shrimp fried rice, and chicken pate They were all excellent. Fresh crisp. vegetables, great flavoring, just perfect.

My dining companion truly loves the chili chicken. The spice level can be adjusted per request. It is crispy, tasty and served with white rice. The portion size is generous and there is plenty for leftover meals. I ordered the pad kee mao with beef and without tomatoes. I appreciate that the noodles have flavor but are not served in an oozing pile of sauce. Prepared very well. The service is slow so don't expect a quick meal. The servers all have the understaffed and overwhelmed vibe. Definitely order the Thai tea without ice and milk on the side. Very sweet but the sugar rush is worth it.

Google
PRETTY TERRIFIC THAI- Inconsistent Portions Dang’s is definitely the best Thai food in Lake Oswego, but is far from the best in the Portland area. They have issues with delivering a consistent product and portion size varies greatly visit to visit. I would also appreciate some more heat in their dishes, but I’m guessing they’re catering to the average LO white person…

Google
Ordered the pad Thai chicken medium spice to go. Wasn’t sure if it would be spicy enough so I got the Thai chilis to go with it- super glad I did. The spices were perfect, medium was a good spice level. The chili sauce was really tasty though and I couldn’t stop adding a little to each bite. Some of the better pad Thai chicken I’ve had in too long. Highly recommend

Google
I think this place has gone downhill a bit since my last visit. Food was very oily. Appetizera were either gross or vey underwhelming and overpriced. Curries ate fine.

Google
I used to go to Dangs Thai when I lived in Oregon 17 years ago and was so pleased to see they're still around now after moving back. We had the pad Thai and Panang Curry and both we amazing. The service and atmosphere were great as well.

Yelp
We had a birthday party in the back room for 10 people. The food and service were commendable. It was a very enjoyable experience.

Yelp
Back at one of our favorite spots for lunch in town. We had our favorite! Pad Kee Mao - both the Tofu and the pork versions. Delicious as always. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

Yelp
Best Thai we've had in the area. They don't over sugar the food like so many Thai food places, food is super fresh, friendly service

Yelp
My wife and I have been going here for about 10 years, and it never fails to satisfy. The restaurant is clean and bright, waitstaff are polite and efficient, water is refilled often, and their very own Dang's dishes are cleared or boxed up to go quickly. The menu spans several pages and includes all of the best Thai dishes, plus some specials. All of them have been perfectly prepared. I've never had to wait for a table, and they do a bustling to go service.

Yelp
Dang's Thai Kitchen isn't far from our home and is often busy when we drive by. So of course one night when craving Thai food the question was not "why not" but rather - "what do you want to try (said to my husband)." Let's start with the ambiance. Easy parking, no problems ever. Love that and a plus +. The restaurant itself is quaint and actually larger than I expected inside. It has been clean and during the one time we ate at the restaurant itself, we didn't have to wait for a table. Our preferred method evidently seems to be an order to go. The service is pleasant and welcoming. The staff is nice and validates our order(s) and when placing the order ahead of time, the time allotment they provide to pick up the food is typically on point. For the nights we drop in and place an order to go on-site, they ask if you would like to sit at a table, have something to drink (we on occasion have had a glass of water while waiting) and they keep you informed on when your meal is ready. The food. I would say good! The quality and taste is what I would expect and the quantity is a good value. That said, it wouldn't be my favorite Thai food restaurant, but we do often visit Dang's for convenience, quality and value. It's a great staple. Will I come back? Absolutely. Is it the best I have had, no. But that is ok. I enjoy the fact we have a local, close, convenient, welcoming and good quality Thai food restaurant locally that also has decent hours. Lots of restaurants here in Portland close early, and they are definitely open a bit later, which is very welcomed!! Give them a try. I think you will find they will be in your rotation for a good Thai meal.

Yelp
This restaurant is surprisingly authentic considering its location. I say that because it is in Lake Oswego. A lot of the Thai restaurants in LO don't make the food spicy enough. This place will if you request it! The people who work there are very friendly and sweet. All of them! I've been going there for 13 years and never had one bad experience. Everything is good.

Yelp
Consistently fresh, yummy, and quick...literally every time...and I've been dining here over 20 yrs!

Yelp
Ew the food was so bland we doused it in sriracha to just eat for sustenance and the "chili chicken" had very little chicken. This is my first negative review bc I wish I would've known the food would be so bad I actually called the establishment to see if there was any remedy for this and the lady said it is "impossible" for there to be little chicken and wasn't interested in customer satisfaction. Based on other reviews sounds like they've gone downhill or maybe just their takeout is inedible? Save your money and go elsewhere

Yelp
Everything is tasty and service is great. It's a nice place for lunch and I also order takeout frequently.

Yelp
Reliable take-out. We usually get the curry (red and Panang). The one time we dined in, we tried the fried rolls and they were good, too.

Yelp
On a rainy night in Portland we searched for a restaurant open passed 9pm. The sidewalks were rolling up and our choices were slim. Dang was open so we stopped in right at 9:30 and was lucky. the kitchen was closing so we were able to get our order in just in time. The lady at the counter was a pleasure. She was patience, kind and helpful with the menu. Being our first time there we were not familiar with the menu. We were not sure either about what could be cooked and what was off limits since the kitchen was closing. We placed our order and and waited for about 15 minutes, everything was packaged and ready to go. Arriving home we were happy with the layout of trays. Everything was very fresh and tasty. We went with medium hot and next time I will try the hot. The mango shrimp was extremely flavorful, it was a new one for me. Sweet and hot all in one with shrimp...can't go wrong. I will go back and try them again but next time I will eat in.

Yelp
Top notch. No clue how it's only 3.7 rated. Recommend duck red curry and various noodles dishes.

Yelp
Love the Tom Ka. Great portions. Love getting takeout. Dang that's some good food. I reccomend this place

Yelp
Fabulous find heading on your way out of Lake Oswego toward West Linn is this delicious made to order delicious food. My friend always orders the coconut mango shrimp, which always gets scarfed up in record time, even when she "isn't hungry". Service is like going to a dear friend's house for dinner. Always welcoming and gracious. I'll include a pic of the just made abundantly stuffed "veggie rolls" ... so you get the idea. Parking is easy. Finding it is dicey as it's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Definitely a must try and you will go back over and over again.

Yelp
So good! Larb salad was amazing! We moved to the area from SoCal. We have tried several Thai places over the last year and this one is the best!!! Service was so great and the restaurant is super clean and comfy!

Claudia H.

Yelp
Food was amazing, very flavorful with good texture, big portions, fast and friendly service. I recommend their pad see ew and pad Thai.

Yelp
Haven't had solid Thai food in a minute and came across this place in Lake Oswego. It was very big inside with ample parking too, no street parking needed. Their menu is super unique with things such as Chinese/Thai rolls and stuff calamari for appetizers. Haven't seen those items anywhere else so that was super cool to see. I love salad rolls and got the fresh rolls with shrimp. I really liked the peanut sauce, it was very creamy but not too sweet. Another person I ate with got the curry and it was huge! She needed two to go soup containers for the curry and then another take out box for her rice! I'm all for leftovers! Overall this was a nice place to enjoy Thai food. I wasn't completely wow'd by it but also not disappointed!

Yelp
Just had a horrible experience! I placed a large to go order and went in to pick up my food. I walked in and saw two bags waiting on the counter. I told the lady at the counter my name and she said "there's your order". I asked for utensils and she gave me what I needed. I put all the utensils in one of the bags and then proceeded to walk out. As I was walking out, she ran and grabbed one of the bags and scolded me in front of all the customers for taking both bags. Her exact words were "Why would you do that? That's not yours!'" Apparently, the other bag was for a different customer but originally she told me both bags were mine. Instead of apologizing for her mistake she ended up lashing out on me. Talk about great customer service and not owning up to your mistake. They lost a customer for life and the experience left the food to be undesirable. I don't usually write bad reviews but the experience was just intolerable.

Yelp
I have been going to Dang's Thai Kitchen for 17 years and have always loved the food, but something happened to it recently. Last month, we ordered some noodles and fried chicken, and the fried chicken was so greasy and overcooked that we ate a few bites and threw it in the garbage. I was willing to write off one bad experience, but tonight we had green curry and pad woon sen, and the pad woon sen was inedible (also straight to the garbage), and the rice that came with the curry was mushy and definitely not jasmine rice. The curry was okay, but nothing special. I was raised to never waste food, so throwing out food is not something I do lightly. It pains me to say I will definitely not be eating here again.

Yelp
We had lunch here yesterday, and it was so disappointing that we went to a different Thai restaurant on McVey for dinner tonight which was much better. At lunch yesterday, there were 3 tables of customers, and they sat us all close together along the window. The rest of the restaurant was empty. I would expect them to seat us with Social Distance, since the wait staff was wearing masks. I've had great meals here pre-pandemic, and was so disappointed yesterday. I ordered the Halibut, and my son ordered Pad See Ew. The Halibut was served with a knife, on an amazingly delicious bed of fresh vegetables and a half a plate of rice. I didn't know why they served this with a knife, until I tried cutting into the Halibut with my fork. Even pressing down on the fork, I could not cut the halibut. My son stabbed a piece of Halibut with his fork and chewed on it saying that it's the only way to eat it. I did the same. The Halibut was over cooked and very dry. The waitress asked how we were doing, and I told her. She said that she would let the chef know. The Beef Pad See Ew was much better than the Halibut, however the beef is more tender at the restaurant on McVey. When we got the check, we realized that the chef was not going to replace the dry tough halibut. Nor did they discount the halibut on the bill. I was so disappointed that this restaurant has gone down hill, from what it used to be. This is why we went to the Thai restaurant on McVey tonight, to have a much better meal.

Yelp
Noodles are consistently good but it is very expensive for what it is. Soup and two orders of pad kee mau with sticky rice was $56

Yelp
Good atmosphere, nice waitress, yummy food! Highly recommend coming here for dinner!!!!

Yelp
My mom and I came for lunch today. Dang's has plenty of seating at tables, and the atmosphere is inviting with orange walls and big windows to look outside. We ordered the triangles as an appetizer, lemon chicken, and mango sticky rice for dessert. The triangles are stuffed with chicken and shrimp, then fried and served with sweet and sour sauce and an orange mayo. They were OK, but we did not finish them and were underwhelmed. The lemon chicken should hardly be called lemon chicken! We could not taste any lemon at all, and the chicken was also a bit overcooked and hard. The lemon chicken comes with a big scoop of rice. We asked our server for soy sauce and were given two little packets, not a bottle. Fortunately, the mango sticky rice redeemed our meal. I loved the flakes of coconut and fresh mango slices. Since Dang's is close to my mother's house, we will probably give it another try, but order something different.

Yelp
The woman who works at the front desk was really scared me. I saw her discriminating against two deliverymen. I will never come here again, I am afraid

Yelp
So sad that I'm leaving this review bc this used to be our favorite Thai restaurant. They have gotten so sloppy and their dishes are no longer consistent. The vegetables in our stirfry dishes were over cooked and mushy, and the seasoning was sooo salty. On the flip side, some of the noodle dishes were not as flavorful and on the bland side. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we noticed that the decline in food taste and quality, but figured it was just a fluke and gave it another chance. To top it off, the customer service has gone down the drain! We placed an order online and indicated the pickup time and they totally forgot about it and started cooking our order once we got there for pick up. I Had to wait over half an hour for our food. We've been eating here for over 10 years and used to tell all of our friends about this place, and now we will have to look elsewhere.

Yelp
It's great to see them open their dining room. I believe today is the first day to eat inside. Food was really good. I expected at least some heat on the Ka Pao, beyond that it was very tasty and tender. The wife went for Mango Prawns. I am really impressed with the flavors in that dish. She was the only one of the three of us to not have left overs to take home. The girl child went for lemongrass chicken and rated it highly. Service was a bit slower, they had a line of people standing outside to pick up their take out. It's good to be able to easy inside again!

Marlene L.

Yelp
Dangs used to be my go to when people dropped in and I needed takeout. Since the pandemic the meat and fish have been overcooked and dry. Not possible to even reheat. I miss the old chef and the wonderful Thai flavors.
google avatar

Nick R.

Yelp
My go to for Thai takeout. Absolutely delicious, cheap, with huge portions. I've eaten here about a dozen times now and never once been disappointed. Their curries are always on point. Friendly staff and kinda got a kitschy local vibe. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm updating my review so I can remember to order these again. It was amazing! We had the best calamari appetizer. Then we ordered the mango prawns again but they were out of mango but offered to make it with pinapple. It was just as good if not better. Then we tried something new. Pla Rard prik. Lightly fried cod with fresh and crisp vegetables in a yummy sauce. It was delicious! We drive 40 minutes past many Thai places because it is so worth it! Love the staff too. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
google avatar

Betsy B.

Yelp
If you've read my reviews, you may recall my 1 star experience at another Thai restaurant in L.O. We had accidentally ended up there when meaning to end up here. Huge difference between a 1 and 4 star ! So glad we eventually made it here for dinner :) The atmosphere was much much nicer and more comfortable here than the miserable other L.O. Thai place I reviewed. The food also couldn't compare. We had the fresh rolls with tofu. Super delicious with amazing peanut sauce. The quality of the peanut sauce is so very important. The chicken pad ke mao was not overly spicy just as we requested. The chicken was fresh , and the food came fast. No complaints here, will come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid Thai food in lake Oswego. Have been wanting to try this place for a while especially since I pass it on the drive in. It's on riverside drive and will be one of the first restaurants you'll pass when you enter lake Oswego from portland. It's a standard Thai place - all the usual items on the menu. Staff is friendly. Food is great. We had the pad Thai and the pad kee Mao. It tasted like you'd expect it from any good Thai place. If you have a thai hankering and you're in the place to go this is a great stop
google avatar

Linda S. M.

Yelp
We're fairly new to the area and this place was highly recommended to us. For the life of me I cannot imagine how it gets such good ratings. From the moment we sat down, we were attended to by the absolute rudest, most disinterested wait staff we have ever experienced. Not a hello, a smile or eye contact. They, literally, refused to wipe off a dirty table upon request, only brought proper place settings when asked, served 2 entrees together while I sat for nearly 15 minutes waiting for my dish to arrive. I flagged them down 2x asking about it. As for the food - the summer rolls were nothing but chopped lettuce and 1 small piece of tofu (the dipping sauce was ok). The pad Thai was a large clump of lukewarm, over-cooked noodles and seemed to be missing some key sauce ingredients. Their version of lemongrass chicken was nothing more than rubbery chicken pieces surrounded by plain steamed broccoli and drowned in some kind of thick, peanut-based sauce. No one ever came by to check back with us, fill water glasses, take plates away, or ask if we wanted wine refills. We had to flag them down 3x for our check, then again to take our money. They acted like they were doing us a huge favor to serve us at all. How does a place like this do such strong business? Past reputation? Never ever again..
google avatar

Luanne A.

Yelp
We've visited Dang's twice and both times it's been wonderful! My litmus test is always the fresh salad rolls. If they are good it usually means we're off to a good start! Both times spot on. The yellow curry is fantastic and the pad ke mao is great! Beautiful presentation and generous portions. This is the new Thai go to!

Yelp
Disappointed to write this review after having been a longtime customer. We generally order the same dishes each time and have noticed a decline in quality. While the noodle dishes remain generous in portion, the meats are sparse as well as the vegetable. The noodle dishes are sauced up noodles for the most part and rather greasy. We also always order the salad rolls which in the past have been delicious. Now they are cracked and fall apart at the first bite rendering them to be a knife and fork appetizer. The Tangerine Duck is a favorite. However this dish has declined over the years as well while the price has gone up. The dish claims to be half a duck. Either the duck is very small or they are only serving a third or less. Very small amount of duck for $19. As for customer service...I'm saddened for that as well. Typically I order online. Lately, at pick up, there is some kind of confusion when I give my name, or it's noisy in there, or they tell me it is not ready and it is sitting right there...sometimes they get the order wrong and we don't know until we are home. Last night we called in the order because the online platform wasn't working. They got an item wrong on the order- and it was probably because when I called it was very loud in there. The person I spoke with spoke very quickly as if they were in a rush so I'm assuming that it was just too chaotic in there for them to handle everything. Needless to say, I think it is time for us to move on from Dang's. Their food, prices and customer service just aren't stellar the way they used to be. At the moment I am still having a very greasy taste in my mouth from the leftover pad thai I just reheated for lunch. That isn't what pad thai is about.
google avatar

Kyu M.

Yelp
Hair was on the food, I requested to change it and they brought back the exact same food, overcooked with more sauce on a smaller plate. I didn't eat, paid and left.

Dj R.

Yelp
This is supposedly Pad See Ew. It's more like a big pile of sticky, gluey I don't know what! I can't even find the words to describe it. I had two bites and I feel ill. This was a take away, so I can't really give an opinion on the ambience or service. Very disappointing because this is kind of our go to for Thai in Lake Oswego. I guess I need to find a new "go to".
google avatar

Pavel R.

Yelp
While Lake Oswego isn't exactly known for diversity, Dang's Thai Kitchen is very good. The owners decided to put a number of Northern Thai dishes on the menu, it was happy news to Thai foodies. Angel Wings are so large, they seem to be taken from a juiced up goose; boned, then stuffed with minced pork, shrimp, mushrooms and vegetables, they may convince Buffalo to reconsider how that city treats its vaunted fowl appendages. Thai salads taste great, but especially so yum talay, a medley of shrimp, mussels and squid tossed with mint and lime juice. If passing on curry would be as unimaginable as stiff arming popcorn at the movies, then by all means have the stir-fried green curry beef. Green chile curry paste is deep jade green in color with a mixture of herbs. Most entrees have vegetables with them, but for a pure vegetarian entry try the pad prik khing, tender green beans with basil, chile paste and kaffir lime leaves. Definitely a solid Thai food choice when you're in Lake Oswego and want something casual.
google avatar

LaRae B.

Yelp
Solid Lake Oswego Thai joint. Perfect for those nights you don't want to cook. Food is reliable, tasty, and ready in 20 or 30 mins (takeout). Always several people in the lobby waiting for to-go orders. Only negative comment is to please consider compostable containers. They use clear plastic clamshells and utensils.
google avatar

Mike D.

Yelp
This used to be the best in town! I just got an order, thrilled to revisit! The duck in the duck curry was over cooked and tasted off, and the eggplant was off tasting as well. The crab fried rice was pitiful at best.. tasted like it was fried with old fryer oil, the crab was not completely shelled and was the quality of shriveled old frozen grocery store crab. Maybe this was an off night, and I hope so.. but it was bad enough I won't be trying them again for quite a while. Down the road a ways is Thai PK.. amazing food and never a bad experience.

Yelp
Great Thai food!!! My family loves pad Thai and it's by far the best, their serving of pad Thai is huge. Friendly staff. Service is excellent.
google avatar

Annalisha M.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years, but the food is just as good as I remember. The 4 stars are because of there slow service. It was not a big deal tonight, since we planned on hanging out and making a evening of it. They serve beer and wine only. For a reasonable price. I got a glass of Acrobat Pinot Gris for $6. For a starter we got there fried egg rolls. Those are a must! They came out piping hot with fresh ingredients in the inside. For entrees I got the lemongrass chicken on a bed of fresh veggies and peanut sauce over the top. That's my new favorite dish. It is plenty to split between two or even three people. My boyfriend got the crunchy cashew chicken. He loved it, but he sad they forgot the cashews. The dimmed lights and warm restaurant make it cozy in there and encourages you to stay awhile. Definitely worth visiting or picking up togo food from.

Yelp
Their food is some of the best I've had. Their portions are generous too. Highly recommend.

Yelp
i have been coming to this restaurant with my family for years. the quality isn't quite what it once was years ago, but it is still pretty good and it's one of the thai restaurants i eat at often within portland/lake oswego. i love their fresh salad rolls with shrimp. they are huge and i've ever seen another thai restaurant serve them the way dang's does. their peanut sauce is delicious. i also enjoy their tom kha soup with mixed seafood, pad thai, and pad see ew. the spring rolls are tasty as well. solid thai restaurant overall.

Yelp
Dang's is definitely the best Thai food in Lake Oswego, one of the best in Portland Metro if not THE best. There is a reason it is always packed and always full of to go orders. I have probably been here at least 100 times. It is always fresh, delicious and on time ready for pick up when they say it will be. Some of my favorites: Volcano Beef Chicken Pad Thai Yellow Curry N5 with beef Egg rolls Pot stickers Try it out, you wont be disappointed.

Yelp
It had been a long time since I had eaten here. I was craving Thai food and realized this place wasn't too far away from me. My mother and I decided to go here for lunch on a weekday this week. We stopped in around 2 pm. Right away the staff were unwelcoming telling us that they close at 2:30 pm. I said well a half hour should be plenty of time. We ordered a salmon curry and a regular curry dish. No one said the Salmon curry would take longer to make. We got the curry dish and had to wait on the salmon one. We asked for it to be mild but it was way too spicy in my opinion. I had to take most of it home and add alfredo sauce to it to combat the spice level. I totally regret ordering it. They bring it out and practically demand that we take it to go. I looked at the clock and it was 2:20. It wasn't 2:30. We were done by 2:35 but the staff were harassing us to leave. We would have been done without the harassment and pressure from the employees. It was rude and inconsiderate. We won't be going back here. If they don't want customers they should have close at 2 pm on there window not 2:30. I was extremely disappointed in the food and service.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Tasted great and generous portions. Would definitely go back . Ordered pad Thai and drunken noodle to go.

Yelp
We were looking for a Thai restaurant and came across Dang's review and thought we would give it a try. When we arrived there was a steady line for both takeout and sit down so we had a feeling it would be good. My fiancé ordered Massaman Curry and I had the Spicy Chicken and Shrimp with Fried Basil. Both were delicious. Traci's curry was the best she has ever had. She always compared massaman curry to her ex-favorite (after this dish) Red Onion. We will definitely be going back. BTW, even with the line, at one point going out the door, they were still able to keep the wait time to a minimum.

Yelp
Delicious and fast, food was served hot and well packaged. I had the red curry and pineapple rice, both were very good and worth going back for.

Yelp
Excellent food!!Daughter says best Pad Thai she's had. I had a spicy chicken basil stir fry that was excellent. Very good thai food!
