"Daniel and Denise Croix - Rousse – the third in the series, after locations on rue de Créqui and in the St Jean quarter – is enjoying the same success as its older siblings. Fill up on hearty Lyon cuisine in a traditionalbouchon(tavern) setting." - Michelin Inspector

Loved this dining experience! From the states and know little about French cuisine. We had the best time with the 4 course special, 35€. We watched the chefs work as well. Amazing food adventure!

Overall pleasant experience but not as great as our expectation. Or maybe we have raised our expectations too much due to all the hype we heard about this place. The food is decent, service is kind and fast. They have a booster chair for toddlers. Overall ok but no wow factor.

I'm really between a 3/4 stars. I wanted to love it more than I did. Let's start with the good, the server was awesome and spoke really good English. He joked with me and was very friendly. The wine selection is pretty good, maybe a little pricey but good non the less. The 40 euro menu is great value and the portions are huge, so you will be full. I really liked the macaroni and cheese with the hint of nutmeg in it. The overall taste of the food was excellent. Okay so the needs improvement. I think the biggest miss for me was the pork. Parts of it were really good, especially the pieces that were more rare near the fat. However, where it had been seared was incredibly dry. Like it had been cooked and preseared and reheated and just very dry. The texture in the sear was not good. I loved the vegetables accompanying the pork, however they were not warmed through and had cold centres. I was 1 of 2 tables in at the time so I am not sure what happening.

Great service but the quenelle was quite bitter. I have had it before several times and that was the worst I had. The gratin appeared to be with penne, not with potatoes. And we also found it too expensive for a regular bouchon menu.

I had an amazing dinner. The food was amazing. Everyone explained me in English the whole menu. It was really an experience.

Delicious spot on top of the Croix-Rousse hill. One of the only few places where you can find a vegetarian option in a bouchon lyonais.

Very friendly staff and the food is delicious! The 3 course lunch set menu at €33 is really value for money.

It is sad when Michelin star restaurant turns to a tourist trap with an average service and food that you can get from Monoprix.Any Bouchon meant to be a proud and an honor to your local authentic traditional Lyonnaise cousine . Michelin star Bouchon must be above all that. Stop serving an average supermarket dishes.
