My favorite place to eat in Hexham by a landslide, I've been here for my birthday a fair few times and they easily accommodate a group of around ten just by pushing the tables together I usually get the prawn and melon starter. Pork belly main & brandy snap basket dessert off the blackboard. I have also had the lamb & duck mains which are also really nice but I find the duck isn't big enough for my greedy belly 😆 The sticky toffee pudding dessert is also excellent, my partner who hates most sticky toffee puddings enjoys this one because it doesn't taste of dates Also kinda random but the ladies toilet is delightfully luxurious, so much nicer using a flannel to dry hands than paper towels or blowers & the carpet is a bold choice but purples my fave colour so I like that too

Danielle's Bistro - the kind of place you think about telling everyone, but secretly want to keep for yourself. My favourites are firmly established: honey-roasted beetroot with feta to start and cheesecake to finish (because why change perfection?) In between, the sea bass with prawns was a reminder that some kitchens don't just cook, they care. A bistro where routines become rituals and where returning feels less like repetition and more like reward ❤️

This is a lovely find in Hexham. It is an 'old fashioned' bistro serving beautifully cooked and prepared meals. The decor was quaint in a way but perfectly suited the feel of the place. The proprietor was welcoming, his staff friendly and their attention to detail first class. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was melt in the mouth.

We did not booked and arrived 19:00 for a table for two. Lovely meal and staff very pleasant. However, the resteraunt is rather dark inside. Staircase too and from toilet is rather steep.... we felt we were rushed from our table.

Danielle's is the perfect place for a cozy, suitably priced, and delicious meal for anyone looking for both filling and delicious portions. The menu offers a wide selection of pub/bistro classics, slightly fancier dishes and some knockout signatures, all for a comfortable price and all executed to near-perfection. You can tell that whoever designed the menu has a real understanding and appreciation for flavour combinations and textures, as well as the kitchen being able to cook them wonderfully. The drinks menu is great, with a good selection of soft and hard beverages that can accompany your meal, ask any of the very helpful, smiley and professional staff for help with drinks or anything really! The (I presume weekly or daily) blackboard dessert specials are brilliant too with dishes such as truly, melt in your mouth sticky toffee pudding or a healthy selection of ice cream and sorbet flavours. The setting and serving was brilliant with a nice wait time before the meal arrived, and a wonderful calming ambient hub-bub of chatter and music. I also noticed that they cater to the younger ones among us too and didn't see any issues with them serving kids as young as 3/4! Currently their coronavirus measures are excellent and appropriate, with face screens, disinfectants and social distancing.

I made the mistake of saying compliments to the Cook my colleague replied don't you mean the ‍ chef? Oops my bad Great place you won't be disappointed we loved it and will go again when we visit Hexham waitresses are quite and attentive

Yelp
A popular bistro style restaurant tucked away on Westgate in Hexham. The interior is very homely, with a big fireplace and domestic wooden furniture. There is an eating area at the front, and further tables on the upper level at the back. (NB Toilets are upstairs.) They have an a la carte menu, but most people go for the fixed menu, which provides one course for £19, two courses for £23 and three courses for £27. Additional items can be chosen with a supplement from the main menu. There are also daily specials, also with small supplements. We had creamy mushrooms on sourdough toast to start; I had the halloumi and vegetable skewer with sweet potato wedges and salad, and my partner had the Seabream fillet with fishcake and tarragon sauce, served with vegetables of the day and roast potatoes. For pudding my partner had the Belgian waffle with vanilla ice cream, butterscotch sauce and walnuts. I had the baked rice pudding with nutmeg and sultanas. Overall, the meal was excellent. My partner was particularly happy with his choices, especially the main of sea bream and fishcake. My main was very nice, although the wedges would've been better served separately, as they picked up some of the seasoning oil from the skewer. However, I had plenty of halloumi cheese on the skewer, and the vegetables melted in the mouth. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the rice pudding, which was made with cream, rather than the creaminess coming from the milk and rice together. However, with a drinkeach and Service, the total bill came to £70, which was very good value. Service was polite rather than friendly, but it was very efficient. We would very happily go back.

Yelp
Nice cosy place with excellent selection of various dishes. They have a la carte and pre fix at very reasonable price. Food was well prepared, service was prompt and friendly
