9 Great Bakeries in Allston and Brighton | Eater Boston

"Daniels Bakery is a family-run bakery in Brighton, which has been open since 1959. Its menu is vast, and includes danishes, breads, scones, custom cakes, muffins, and much more. It also offers Brazilian and other South American items like pastel de queijo (a fried dough with cheese) and yucca pound cake. You may need to plan a few trips to make a dent in the menu. Daniels is open for takeout and delivery." - Karen Wilber

I ordered a cake and 4 dozen cupcakes for a baby shower recently and the result was amazing. I have ordered cakes from Daniels several times and haven't been dissappointed but this cake in particular was beautiful and there is so much attention to detail. It matched the color scheme and inspiration photos while tasting great. Super impressed with Daniels yet again.

Google
I bought a cake here for my birthday party last year. I had NO idea what I was doing when ordering a cake, but the staff at Daniel’s were able to walk me through the process and helped me find the right sized cake. Also a very quick turnaround! I was nervous I was coming to them too late, but they were able to get me a cake in a few days! Great job yall!

Google
Daniel’s has been our go to bakery for specialized cakes for years! The quality and creativity is truly unmatched! We can always rely on Wanda & her amazing staff for the perfect cake. I love how I can show them a picture and they can recreate any possible combination. Not only are the cakes beautiful, they also taste amazing. The cakes are the talk of every party and I love being able to have a reliable bakery for all our special celebrations.

Google
Excellent customer service and their whipped cream strawberry cake is delicious! Thank you for accommodating my last minute birthday cake request! The cake was simply beautiful. 🩷

I absolutely love this bakery. I have been ordering cakes from Daniels for over 30 years. They did an outstanding job On my daughter’s cake. I asked and they delivered.

Google
I purchased pies for Thanksgiving and they were delicious! My kids loved the banana cream pie and the apple pie was also very good! When I went to pick up the workers were very nice, even though it was probably a stressful holiday season. Overall, 10/10 experience and will be coming back for any other holidays!

Google
Do not recommend ordering for delivery through a 3rd party. They waited 2 hours, confirmed our order thru the app, then immediately called to admit they could not fulfill the order as they didn’t have the item we ordered available (false advertisement). We then spent hours in dispute with the app for a simple refund on the order this store couldn’t deliver, because they fraudulently confirmed the order online knowing they could not fulfill it. I would take your business somewhere more trustworthy. It is absolutely not worth the hassle, and I don’t even have to try their pastries to decide so.

I needed a Valentine’s gift sent to my daughter at school very very last minute. I called the bakery, they were closed but still picked up the phone. Not only did they pick up, she took my order for the next morning and was beyond sweet and helpful on the phone. They talked to me about all the options they had for gifts. When they got to Boston College the next morning, my daughter was not available. They called her and waited for her to come across campus to give her her sweet gift. I cannot say enough about this place!! Such a great business. So kind and helpful and the desserts are amazing

Yelp
I just wanted to write another review to give them yet another 5 STARS to reiterate the fact that I LOVE this bakery SO SO much and I wouldn't go ANYWHERE ELSE for my birthday cakes!! I have had Daniel's bakery for every single birthday for the past 20 years that I can remember, and I am absolutely in love with their whipped cream frosting birthday cakes. The cake is just the right amount of flavor and moistness (I usually ask for the top layer and bottom layer to be half chocolate, half vanilla), just melts in your mouth. I've also never had such a flavorful, yet rich but light and not too sweet of a whipped cream frosting that I can honestly eat every day for the rest of my life. I look forward to this cake every year for my birthday, it is honestly such a highlight. As for the service, I have always had great service ordering from this bakery. No issues with ordering these cakes ahead of time, and the flavors and appearance is always spot on and is smooth sailing. It breaks my heart that some of these other reviews have had different experiences than me, but please take them with a grain of salt because I absolutely adore this hole-in-the-wall bakery. Please go support this small business!!!! You won't regret it!!

Yelp
I've always wanted a designer bag cake and found out that Daniel's Bakery makes them so I decided to try them out! I sent them a photo of my pink Chanel purse and they perfectly replicated it and in my favorite flavor - peach. I received so many compliments! They also offer a lot of cool & trendy and traditional baked goods! This place is truly amazing!

Yelp
" Best Birthday Cakes " We have been ordering cakes here for years . They are delicious and look good . The staff is always helpful and friendly. The vibe is warm and welcoming. Parking is metered street it's difficult but manageable.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh gluten free Birthday cake ! Cake was delicious Italian bread is made fresh daily with or without seeds

Yelp
A strong staple in the Brighton community that consistently gives back !! Their specialty cakes are worth every penny !! Highly recommend the whip cream fruit filled cake !! Tell Wanda what you want and she will make it happen !!! I love visiting this business because I'm made to feel more like a friend than a customer ! That's hard to find these days.

Yelp
I really wish I could give a better rating for a local business, but our experience with Daniel's was disappointing. We ordered cupcakes for a birthday party. It was frustrating from the get go because we needed a couple gluten free/dairy free cupcakes, but they would only sell them to us by the dozen. We also had to reiterate many times the need for gluten free/dairy free because it wasn't clear that they would be both. When we went to pick up for a 9am pickup, they were not ready. We waited at least 15 minutes before they were finally ready. The box of dairy free/gluten free cupcakes was labeled "vegan" so we again had to confirm that they were gluten free. The cupcakes looked beautiful, but tasted like I could have made them myself. They didn't have the moist, fluffy quality I would expect from a bakery cupcake. Overall, not what we expected for the price we paid. I don't think we'll be using Daniel's again.

Yelp
An extremely long overdue review! Daniel's Bakery saved my girlfriend's birthday! The staff were very accommodating they whipped up a custom delicious 8" cake with fondant in under two days. I continue to recommend this bakery to anyone in need of baked goods/cakes in the area.

Yelp
I've driven past this bakery multiple times and decided it was time to come in. I got 2 cheesecakes for my fiancée's birthday. One with Nutella, one with Strawberries and I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the cakes. Can't wait to try the cupcakes next. Definitely recommend Daniel's Bakery.

Yelp
Worst cupcakes from a bakery ever. I should have just gone to Target to get their mass produced ones, they would taste better and be fresh. I ordered a handful of cupcakes through delivery so I paid a lot of money for these and they were all the same price. But one of them was really big about twice the size of the others. But the main problem is that these cupcakes are stale. What a waste of my money. I had really good reviews on Uber Eats somehow. Thank you for the stale treats, especially considering homeless shelters don't even accept stale treats.

Yelp
Great job on birthday cake! I had a wonderful experience working with Daniel's Bakery for my daughter's birthday cake. It was easy to set up. I ordered a red velvet cake. I showed them a design that my daughter found online and they exceeded our expectations with the cake. It was beautiful and very tasty. I'm very happy and will be back. Thank you. Great job!

Doris M.

Yelp
Do not order from this place. Bad quality . My cake was disgusting and already came damaged. The bread was old and stale. Will never order again from this place.

Yelp
Had a great birthday cake from Daniel's - it was delicious and JUST what we were looking for, and catered to our dietary restrictions which is often easier said than done at a cake bakery! Would highly recommend for your next special event. Thank you for the wonderful experience :)

Dawn C.

Yelp
Cake was amazing and did a fantastic job. Price was on the high side. I was very reluctant to order from them again as the last cake I ordered was their worst strawberry shortcake I ever got but glad this cake was done well.

Yelp
This bakery is amazing! I ordered a bunch of baked goods via Uber Eats. The bakery called me to clarify my order and also threw in extra goods as it was almost closing time. Fantastic customer service and delicious baked goods. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

Yelp
2.5/5 Updated review: Pros: -Lots of selection -Pleasant staff -Donuts! -Easy contactless delivery with Grubhub Cons: -Chocolate chip cookies were stale/crumbly -- Dulce de Leche Donut ($3.99) Braided yeast donut sliced in half and filled with a very thick (peanut butter consistency) dulce de leche and coated with a cinnamon sugar mixture. The dough was a bit dry and the dulce de leche was too thick, but the filling had a good flavor. Chocolate Chip Cookies ($5.50 for 2 big chocolate chip cookies and 2 small ones) Bought in the morning and the small ones already had a chewy/stale texture and the big ones were so crumbly they disintegrated while trying to eat them. The small ones tasted okay (just sugary) and the big ones tasted like a dry, less sugary sugar cookie. Also, for some reason the big ones only have chocolate chips on top and not throughout. I'd go back if they introduced Brigadeiros/Beijinhos! They sell a Brigadeiro cake and some packaged Brazilian treats but sadly don't have either of these mini sweets.

Yelp
You will not get what you order I went in order a cake they gave me a coconut cake instead not even knowing if I had allergies to it when I clearly did not order that to tell me they could not do nothing without me not even leaving the bakery worst place ever

Yelp
I recently moved back to the neighborhood and wandered by on a day when I was craving bread (and sugar in general). I realized I hadn't been in Daniels for about 15 years, so I went in to get a few things for us. Took a look around and decided on a Half Moon cookie (something for everyone with chocolate and vanilla frosting), a couple of their small "munchkin-like" donuts and a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread from the day old rack. Bread: stale, not sure if it was from the previous day or many days prior, but it was really dry. It could be OK toasted with a lot of butter, but wow it was dry. Half Moon: dry Munchkins: didn't make me think of a donut at all, I sort of felt like it was just some dough in cinnamon, but definitely not the texture of a donut. Oh well, now I remember why it had been 15 or so years since I was in but it is disappointing when carbs don't excite me!

Leonid S.

Yelp
A very ordinary bakery. The taste of cakes is about the same as at Stop & Shop, though the service is worse. I would rather buy at Stop & Shop next time, where you can just return the cake for a full refund if you don't like it. I don't think you can return at Daniel's bakery for a full refund. The store manager/owner is not friendly and seems doesn't care much about customer satisfaction. They also charge a fee for using credit cards, though there are no notes in the store telling you that.

Yelp
TERRIBLE AND INEDIBLE! Purchased cupcakes-the tops were rock hard and the bottom of the cupcake was so dry and stale it crumbled as the wrapper was peeled off. The frosting was extremely greasy; it was supposed to be chocolate but had a weird oily taste to it with no chocolate flavor. I called the bakery and asked to speak to a manager who, of course, was not there. I left my name and phone number, but no one ever bothered to call me back. This place has no right to call itself a bakery; the sad thing is that I think Daniel's Bakery is well aware that their baked goods are substandard-just look at all the negative reviews! -but just doesn't care. This place is in it for the money. At $2.99 each for four cupcakes, that was $12 wasted. and we clearly got ripped off. Don't waste your money here-GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Annie V.

Yelp
Unduly expensive for the quality. Seriously, Flour's cakes were less money and much easier to get to. Only bought a cake here because my friend was having a birthday and his mom bought his cakes here when he was a boy. They have expired their usefulness.

These ladies were kind from when I walked in and the cake was delicious thank you for making a beautiful fresh cake

Yelp
My fiancé and I ordered a cake from Daniel's Bakery for our engagement party. Both of us are pretty artistically intuitive and came up with our own design which we sent to the bakery via email after discussing via phone what we would like. We set up a time to come in and give a more detailed description and came up with an idea that worked and we let them do their work. In the ordering process, we were asked when we would like to pick the cake up. We said 10am and completed the order by putting a deposit down on the cake. We bought a couple cupcakes and left. Two days before the party I called Daniel's back to confirm the pickup time was 10am and that was it; we believed we were all set. I arrived at the bakery at 10:11am. 11 minutes late (due to other party related issues) but still ready to pay the rest and go. We were told it would be a few minutes, to me this was already unacceptable because I showed up and late the cake should have already been done. After waiting about 7 more minutes I politely asked the lady at the front desk about how much longer it would be.. she walks to the back to ask and I hear the most disgusting response I've ever heard "Does she want me to rush or does she want the cake to look nice?!" amongst similarly annoyed and loud responses. I was in shock. Not only was the cake late to be done but now for no reason I can hear her screaming about my question as if it is offensive that I'd want you to be done on time for a service that you're being paid for. While the woman at the counter did try to placate me I still wasted almost 20 minutes at the bakery for nothing. My cake was not done before I left. They offered us free delivery which we had no choice but to take as they also do not offer refunds on deposits even if your being spoken to like a child for their mistake as well as the fact that we would have no cake for the party otherwise. My party started at 11:30am, I left Daniel's bakery at 10:29am with no cake. I was late to my own party wasting time in Brighton (party was in seaport) being verbally accosted by the cake decorator. This was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had picking up a cake and what makes it worse is they knew it was for my engagement; I had stated it many times, we talked about it in conversation about the design and it's even in the email I sent requesting a cake. The cake was nice and it was similar to our vision but it arrived so late and it wasn't ready for pick up so I wasted 30+ minutes going across the city for nothing that most guest didn't get any. Additionally, the cake did not store well. Once it was refrigerated (in new box with cling wrap) it became crumbly and dry. I will never return to Daniel's Bakery and to be quite frank I will never recommend anyone should come here. I will be telling anyone with ears to never go here. This experience could've ruined my entire day and they didn't offer us anything but delivery. The woman who screamed never came out but I believe it is the older lady who works in the shop(Wanda). The other workers did help coordinate with my fiancé and we're seemingly apologetic for the rude attitude of their coworker/boss. The only reason I'm even giving two stars is because the design was very similar to what we envisioned and the frosting was good. (after sitting room temp to soften back up because it really hardened while cold)

Yelp
Just went here for the first time due to a friends recommendation. I got the caramel cookies - alfahores - and they were *amazing* Slightly expensive but totally worth it after tasting the cookies. Will certainly be back to try more goodies!

Yelp
My favorite bakery! Always yummy and the staff is very friendly and helpful :) I been going my whole life to Daniels and the quality is always Devine.

Yelp
Best donuts ever!!! Along with a lot of other delicious treats. I'm moving to east Boston at the end of the month and boy, will I miss this place. Will definitely have to make trips back!

Yelp
I was a customer of Daniel bakery and I have bought a cake for my daughter the first time from them and it was great I purchased some cupcakes from them and it was awful the customer service has always been terrible I tried to work with them because it really was only one rude person and it's the older lady that does answer the phones they took my money delivered to me cupcakes that wasn't edible when I called to try and fix the situation the customer service was very disrespectful and I was told that I was not getting a refund that I had to take my business elsewhere after they have already received my money the delivery driver was 45 mins late when I called they put me on hold for 20 minutes or would hang up in my face this was the worst and I cannot get my money back and they knew what they were doing if you go there to get business I would say check out their reviews this seems to be a pattern of how they treat their customers and I just wish I stopped at my daughter's birthday cake and did no more business with them they absolutely take advantage of their customers.

Suzette S.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars. Today is my birthday and my birthday cake looks terrible. It was supposed to be the shape of a heart, in pink, with white roses. We asked for whip cream frosting. When we called to speak to the owners, the baker tried to say it looks bad because we asked for whipped cream. There is no way the whip cream could've given us a cake with the wrong colors and wrong shape. It was very insulting how she tried to make that accusation. If the whip cream drips, she should've stated that from the beginning and recommended a different frosting. We are not bakers and should not have to tell them how to do their job. The shape is not of a heart. If this was something they could not do, they should've stated that. This is easily the ugliest cake I have ever seen.

Yelp
I didn't come to a bakery in Brighton hoping to get gourmet confectionary goodness. I came in with my expectations realistic, all desired was that the level of pastry be on par with what one could order at a decent diner or a local bagel shop (though a NY bagel shop, not a Boston one...you guys don't know what you're doing.) Daniel's wasn't even in par with your average supermarket bakery. I'm tempted to say they weren't even in league with the 7-eleven danish section. Their food not good to be quiet frank. I say "not good" rather than saying the food is bad because its edible and has some small semblance of flavor to it. Sorta of like a garden salad, you'll eat if your hungry without much complaint but you don't really want it. I've ordered four things from this bakery, and all of them have been varying degrees of underwhelming. Bacon and cheese bread: Well, there was no bacon. There was, instead, a chunk of ham...which to be fair, does come from a pig, but it is not bacon. Even bacon could fix this bread though; it was dry and the cheese was had this odd processed texture and flavor. It might be semi editable if you warmed up to go something about that cheese and they can keep their ham chunk next time! 1/5 Peanut butter cupcake: It was decent. The cake was very dry but the icing was pretty tasty and as long as you got a good bite of icing with the cake it went down smooth enough. 3/5 Pineapple Cheesecake: Again, decent. You had to eat it with a spoon because it was in a little round tin which is just odd for cheesecake (especially one with crust). It also had icing, which again was odd; If it was whip cream icing maybe it could have been a thing, but buttercream icing on cheesecake doesn't work. The texture also was odd; it was as if it was trying to be a New York style cheesecake but missed orientation. The flavor was okay, but it wasn't what you'd expect from cheesecake. 2.5 / 5 Cinnamon donuts: You know when you buy Dunkin Donut munchkins anytime after three pm? These were like that, except with far less flavor. It was like bitting into paper with cinnamon on it. Ew. 0/5

Kim P.

Yelp
The experience overall was not what it used to be. The cake tasted old and waited 45 min for the cake to be handed to me because it was not ready! I don't mind paying for quality but definitely worst experience ever.
google avatar

Tori S.

Yelp
Always love this bakery. The half moons are my favorite (they use frosting instead of icing; actual half moons instead of the NYC 'black and white' cookies). Everything is always fresh and delicious. The yucca cheese rings are the best savory pastry (but rich, as they are fried, but so worth it). The quiches are also really tasty (buttery crust, good filling). Never have had anything from here I didn't like.

Yelp
First, We drive 40 minutes-1 hr to get these cakes. Second I'd like to preface this by saying my family has been coming here since I was very little. They treated my mother respectfully as she had just moved to America and spoke very little English, from then on not only did their nice attitude win our family over, but so did their delicious sweets. My family either orders the chocolate cake or strawberries and cream and both melt in your mouth. I prefer the chocolate as the initial chocolate is thick while the inside is so soft. They also have wonderful home made personal pizza they sell at the store- heat it up and YUM. M&ms cookies are large and delicious, probably the size of my hand. They sell personal slices of cake which is what I'm eating in this picture and it's just so good I could go on and on about them. We've always ordered the cake a day before and they were very accommodating up until recently they told us to stop which we should've long ago lol. Blissfully unaware of how baking and ganache or whatever works. They were very nice when asked though.

Yelp
Such a cute spot located in the heart of Brighton Center! They have a great selection of pastries, cakes and cookies... it's hard to choose what you want! They have fun Latin flavors and treats like guava and tres leches, but they also have all your classic American flavors, it's a great mix! My inner kid comes out, and I always choose one of their sugar cookies covered in frosted... they are the best! I am also a big fan of their dulce de leche alfajores... so delicious, and they sell for about $2 a cookie! A great spot if you're looking to order a cake for an event or need an assortment of goodies to drop off for a friend... or you're like me and just want to treat yourself! A great local bakery!

Rodrigo B.

Yelp
Ow wow, where to start? My Neighborhood go to bakery!! Decided to make this review because of my last order! I've got a cake for a friend that is lactose and gluten intolerant. I asked them to make and told them about the restrictions, they were fine with it. The cake had a very nice and clean looking decoration, with a mix of fruits, just the way we wanted. Everyone loved and my friend who is always looking for good options to shop because of the restrictions has become their customer too. In the past I've gotten cakes for myself, my wife, and for friends, everyone always loves their cakes, always nice and yummy. I've seen some wild decorations on their Instagram and in person as well when picking up my orders. I've got a bit of sweet tooth so I always try to stop by at the end of the day and get something to take home for after dinner. There is a dessert with Nutella and white cream in a small cup (I never got the name) that is just delicious. Be mindfull they are reaaaally busy on Fridays, Saturdays and for holidays so try to place a order in advance.
google avatar

Diana N.

Yelp
I came here to pick up some day old baked goods (which are sold at a discount) and they had quite the selection! There were donuts, cheese balls, croissants, brioche, hotdog pastries, muffins, etc. I used an app to order and the employees did not seem pleased that I was using it. Maybe they were having an off day, but they did help me with my order. There's plenty of metered street parking.

Yelp
Worst cake I Ever had, we order one type Off cake and receive another cake totally different very unhappy with the the service!! If u order cake with the make Sure they understand what you want!! And make sure they understand what u want.

Yelp
I love this little neighborhood bakery, I especially love their fresh baked bread. Haven't really tried much else, but def 10/10 on their bread!
google avatar

Yelp
Delivery is good. I loved the muffin I got but the Nutella cheesecake didn't meet my standards. Both Nutella and cheesecake are good separately but when you put Nutella on top of the cheesecake it got very chewy due to the temperature difference and I couldn't cut into it as well as I wanted to

Leanne S.

Yelp
Bought a few pastries here for delivery, so I don't know their experience with a whole pie or large catered cake. Everything was homemade and tasted really fresh. Definitely the old school Italian/Portuguese bakery vibe (down to the twine on the box). We ordered small eclairs, a slice of cake (cake slices come in their own separate containers), cheese danish, and a lobster tail (a large flaky dessert filled with homemade cream). Everything was sweet, but not so sweet that it tasted synthetic. The lobster tail was so large, two people ate from it. Will definitely order from this place again. They have a lot of classic items on the menu, combined with Brazilian savory style "appetizers". They cater and deliver, and also sell cake toppers.

Franco P.

Yelp
Okay I am so fake because I am 5 months late with this review but let me tell you one thing... This is the best place ever and they have amazing customer service. So my partner's birthday was in June and I am super responsible because I am a Virgo so I planned to get his cake a few days in advance.I was researching places that had amazing Tres Leches cakes and this place popped up. So I called and asked a few questions and the person on the phone was incredibly sweet and charming. So I was like okay this is the spot. I put in my order and was able to customize the cake, I asked for it to be colorful with rainbows, blah blah blah. I felt pretty good about the order, pricing was good (Medium sized cake, custom, beautiful, gourmet for $45) so I was ready to be the best partner ever for the upcoming birthday. I am dumb. And I went to the wrong bakery because my memory did not serve me well. So I tried ubering to the correct bakery before they closed. I hate coming into establishments right before they close. I am a firm believer that the customer is always wrong. I worked at Panera Bread and jeez, all customers are stupid. Anyway. I called them to apologize and they were sweet and definitely had much better customer service experience than me. Although to be fair, if they yelled at me and punched me in the face, I know that I 100% deserved it because... why? The customer is always wrong :) Anyway, they were laughing and being sweet, reassuring me that everything was fine. But not everything was fine. The Uber driver's GPS dropped me off half a mile away. So I was freaking out. I called Daniel's Bakery again to be like "where is your shop??" and they pointed me in the right direction. They offered to pick me up and were very sweet but, because I am the customer and the customer is always wrong, I said "No it's okay! I am a fast runner!" Which is true but also I am a mess. So I am running up Washington street and this car pulls up on the other side of the road and the driver shouts, "Hey! Are you Franco?!" And I was laughing while out of breath and I responded with "yes" and she goes "Get in!" And she DROVE ME TO THE BAKERY. FIVE STAR SERVICE MAMA!!! Like wow, who else is gonna do that??? They were phenomenal. I was sweaty and out of breath, but I made it thanks to these lovely people. Everyone was nice and super friendly and the cake turned out better than I could have ever imagine!! My partner loved it and honestly, gay rights. Look at this cake. Amazing. It was so delicious. I will definitely return for my other special occasions. I am so fake because I said I would leave a yelp review that same day and then I didn't because I suck. But, excellent service. I cannot stress it enough.

Yelp
Worst cake i've ever had. Ive been getting cakes from Daniels for over 20 years, it's where my whole family orders cakes from and ive always thought they are delicious and the best cakes around, and the 150-200 i usually spend on each of my kids cakes for birthdays is usually worth it but i bought a cake on wednesday for my daughter and niece who share a birthday and this cake was the DRIEST, HARDEST, most UN-FLAVORFUL thing i've ever had in my life!! I called on thursday to let them know about my experience and that i had the whole cake still sitting here from the night before aside from two small pieces that we cut. After the first persons reaction (they spit it out), I tried a fork full from the second piece and then my daughter took a bite of mine, then my son, we were all disgusted with it. It was really that bad! So no one ate any of it. i was ready to take the whole cake back so they could see for themselves how bad the texture was and that i had the whole thing still. The woman on the phone said that it wasn't their fault, that all cakes are made the same but cakes with fondant are dryer. I didn't know this, if they would have told me this when i was placing the order i wouldn't have ordered it and certainly wouldn't have paid over $250 for it. they said if i want a moist cake, next time order a whip cream cake. I am very unhappy with their response. I will never order from them again, and i will make sure no one i know does either. Stop and shop, costco and Bjs all have better cakes than this. As far as the appearance goes, it was bright and colorful, the fondant wasn't as pretty as what i found online but i'm my eyes it's like art and it's okay if it's not perfect. the pattern was spot on. i had the cake in the fridge until an hour before we sang happy birthday, it wasn't that hot out but Sally still started to melt and look scarier as her colors started to run. i'm so disappointed in this bakery though, they just lost a long time and loyal customer.

Yelp
I think the sweets in the place were FANTASTIC. I got these raspberry cookies there that were literally the most delicious raspberry cookies that I have ever had. Their macaroons were also super tasted. I tried a cinnamon munchkin, and that was the most underwhelming thing I purchased. I wish I would have come back multiple times while I was in Boston.

Yelp
Nice, chewy, fresh. I enjoyed the guava donut and the yucca cheese ring. I hope I can visit again soon. Customers should know that if their order is placed in a paper bag, the oils can seep through the paper bag and lightly stain the inside of their backpack like it did for me, but that's not the bakery's fault. You just have to be mindful of that when you take home your orders. Bring your own plastic bag to avoid the issue that I did (but it's a simple fix, I'll just wash my backpack.)

Yelp
Thank you Daniel's Bakery for this beautiful cake back in October! I really appreciate it. It was delicious and the details were out of this world! My boyfriend got a red velvet cake with a custom design. I give Daniel's Bakery more than 5 Stars!

Yelp
I stopped by to grab a simple buttercream half chocolate, half vanilla cake. Very good price for the 6/8 inch cake! Good selection, and they have fresh bread too. My roommate previously got a custom order for a chocolate and vanilla layered cake with apricot jam and whipped cream frosting - it was very good!! It's really nice to have a decent bakery that's close by that you can get cakes, cookies, bread, and all sorts of baked goods. I certainly will come back!

Yelp
If I could give 0 starts I would. I ordered coxhina, they were $6 each which is kind of a lot for one coxhina. The food arrived to me (I live 5 min away) cold and very greasy as if it was made the day before and not even heated up. So I heated it up and broke it open to look cause it didn't look rite, and the inside was all dough like play dough and there was hair in it and no cream cheese. So I called to have a new one or a refund and the manager told me very rudely that she wouldn't give me my money back because that's exactly how it's supposed to be served (which would be cold, old, uncooked and w hair in it). I have also now seen other reviews just like my experience, she definitely does not deserve or appreciate our business.
